We "Absolutely" need a Ricky Starks update. I agree, but I think he might still technically be with AEW at the moment I think the word is he is still with AEW for a little while yet, which is part of the problem for there being no creative plans for him. Same issue for Danhausen as well

Hmm, sounds like they have too much talent on the roster. Is that possibly the issue? roster management is a big issue for AEW, this is a reason you see discontent from talents such as Ricky Starks and Danhausen I remember last May at an AEW show here (I think it was Collision the night before they did Double or Nothing here the next day?) and AEW ran an impromptu handicap match and I turned to my friend and asked why they could not get one of the 150 or so talents they have under contract to even up the sides lol. on a side note, I have been informed Double or Nothing may not be taking place as usual here in Las Vegas next May. I have heard from somebody who works in AEW's travel department that AEW (who I think will be doing Supercard of Honor here in April in Las Vegas as they usually run that show during Mania Weekend) is concerned that with Mania Weekend here the month before Double or Nothing that fans will not travel back here the following month. I have been told it is 50/50 right now.

Definitely, there's a lot of people and only a finite amount of TV time, so people will suffer. Starks had that weird promo issue with Copeland, where things got a little personal between them live, which may not have helped him.
As for Danhausen, I don't think they know what to do with him particularly. A lot of the loyal fan base for AEW turned on him after the Punk disasters, as he is very close with Punk and didn't hide his frustrations much on Twitter in particular. He's a merch selling machine, but he isn't aways spectacular in the ring outside of the comedy work, which I think he's great at. I think they just aren't sure how to fit that on to what they want to be a show focused on wrestling and work rate matches

It makes sense not wanting to use Danhausen as he does fit their product via wrestling and work rate. But there in lies part of the problem. AEW should not have hired him if he does not fit what they want to do. It is like in football and basketball where a player might be very talented but if he does not fit your scheme or would not gel with the locker room then it is best not to sign them. They could have used him on ROH unless they are trying to do the same there and use it as a farm system for AEW. I think those at the top need to come up with a better plan on what they want to do and stick with it. They should sign guys and gals that fit that plan and let the ones that do not pass them by. Otherwise they end up trying to put round pegs in square holes.

Both WWE and AEW just hire various wrestlers simply to keep them from each other (and sometimes the Indies) Danhausen was always a weird fit in AEW anyways.

here is a match at the FSW Arena with me in the front row a couple of years ago between two wrestlers who now have WWE IDs in Jordan Oasis and Jack Cartwheel.

well tonight at FSW I talked to Ice Williams who has received a WWEID and unfortunately I got some discouraging news for the Indie brand as he says wrestlers with WWEIDs indeed have to ask WWE's permission before they can agree to be in the game, that will obviously put some limits on who we can obtain
the WWEID program is great for the talent involved but unfortunately not good for the game (or for AEW for that matter)
