How do other promoters handle these matches? Just curious as I usually begin basic for first fall, second fall use tokens and carry over tokens -1 for rest. Winners of falls begin next fall on L2.
I also liked that fan made chart for title changes depending on region / country.

I dont remove a token for rest but do start the winner on Level 2 offense for the next fall.

Same as Todd. Winner begins on lvl 2. Tokens carry over, none are removed. Same if goes to a third fall.
For one-day tournaments I do not carry all the tokens over. I feel that is going to make the late matches a lot shorter with high pins. It's wrestling, doesn't have to be so realistic.

I have a couple of different formulas for rolling dice that I've played around with for this. I like the possibility of fatigue lingering, and hard matches making it harder later in the tournament...but also not wanting everyone to be half dead walking in. I do the same thing in my Legends Grand Prix because accumulated fatigue can help simulate how grueling the G1 Climax is. But the short and simple is that I record the fatigue left over, and roll a die to remove that match into the next round to simulate rest and "soft fatigue".

I only remove a token for rest during tournaments. Not 2 out of 3 falls matches.
I do not start the winner of the last fall on level 2. Everybody rolls for initiative again at the top of the fall.
In tag matches that are 2 out of 3 falls, I like to do what Memphis wrestling used to do where the wrestlers who won and lost the last fall start the next fall.

I don't subtract fatigue for rests, unless it's a one night tournament. I do start on a higher level offense on 2nd and 3rd falls off initiative rolls though based on how many tokens the defensive wrestler has accumulated up to that point. If defensive wrestler has 0-3 tokens L1 ,3-5 tokens L2 6+ L3

Cool, but I like starting on L2 to give some advantage to the winner of previous fall. Like to show momentum and foe in recovery.

Great responses but the way, keep them coming if you can but good to know I play this similar to others.

I remove a fatigue token to account for the rest period and roll for initiative to start the new fall. New fall begins on L1. I don't want the previous fall winner to have an advantage. In most actual 2/3 matches, the first fall winner loses the second fall and the third fall tells the story.
