Just had to share. I just won a huge lot of COTG cards on eBay and included among them are, I believe, the original set of 24 cards! No game book though.
Now they could be the 2nd printing because according to the collecting page, there's no difference, albeit for a few minor changes.
Is there a list somewhere as to what the differences were between first & second printing?
Either way, I only had the 3rd printing, current edition, so I at least move up one. Although the cards are 'well loved' and in rough shape.
Other finds in the lot were Qualitar's Talk Show card and a Lycos GCon card. I'll be bringing those to GCon with me for trading purposes, along with a green Phantasy card from CPC Classics 2109. Is that rare? I also have some rare fliers and a few other odds and ends I'll be bringing for trading, thought right now I only need Synergy and L&N has promised he has a set for me. I'm also missing a few of the color cards as well.
I'm still working on my COTG collector's guide. A spreadsheet that lists all the products from FG along with the rarities. I have OCD that way.
ANyone have a spreadsheet that lists all the characters in each set? Make my work a lot quicker.
On another note, I think maybe there should be a classifieds section or at least stickied thread here so folks can swap goodies back and forth. This lot I bought has given me a lot of stuff to trade from regular, and I believe early printings, of sets. Unfortunately, they aren't in the best of shape, but a good starting point to someday have an original set of the original 24!
