The first two sketches were Beast Rider (Ashby), Splatter (Jimmyface) and Mutant (chair climbing Mike M) interviewing for the position of dog catcher.
The second was The Collector (me channeling Ed Wynn - look him up on IMDB) convincing Chaos (Ashby) to become a Diva named Tiffany.

Later on we did the Society of Death on spring break; Tom Filsinger, Soldier of Fortune, and Ursa Major coming to Dreadnaught's funeral; old man Tauran trying to find his prunes; and Creeper, Mutant, and the Draconian Sheik having a philosophical "conversation," among a couple others. My favorite part of the last one was, after Mike and I grunted our way through a non-funny moment, Jim finally saying in a proper British accent, "Will somebody please change the light bulb? I've been pointing at it for years now and no one will listen to me." Then Mutant changed it and Creeper ate it.
Some stuff worked, others didn't, but at least it was fun to try. I did do some audio recording of it with my laptop's built-in mic, so hopefully it's not too distorted. I haven't checked yet. If we do this again, I'd like more structure so that it's clearer what we're doing when and when a sketch is over (plus a little more variety in what's going on), but this was interesting to say the least. And thank you, Grant, for picking up on the Alpha Stone nugget I tossed out at the end of the Collector/Chaos skit.

Grant's Collector was one of my favorites. I can't hear him any other way now.

Yeah, that's a good one. As opposed to some of my impressions.

So sorry I had to miss the rest of it! Sounds like it was hilarious. Yes we can make a more formal structure next time. And next time I'll make plans to leave Monday morning! That was too much fun.

It was a blast, and I already have some ideas if we want to try it again next year!

Looking forward to it. We could also use a buzzer. Wh at was great was great...and then there were the Gladiators doing laundry.

Yeah, some of the sketches were rough, but improv is a tricky beast sometimes, and as we all know, no one on Aethra does laundry. They just wash their leather garments in the blood of their enemies.

I blame the people suggesting crappy stuff.

And to anyone I may have impersonated from our circle of Con people, please know it was all in good fun. Besides, don't you think being called Mr. Bean for 5 years might ... sniff ... hurt a little? Behind every comedian lurks a sad clown.
