I have to admit I'm not totally sold on this guy just yet. I have faith that the resolution will be awesome and I look forward to using him, but for right now he reminds me just a bit too much of this...
...for him to be thought of as a top contender immediately.
I do like the idea of using different personas for different matches, and I think I'll adopt that while still emphasizing Hector.

You know, this is a good idea in theory, but I like the direction Tom is going with this. I think he's more interesting as a devious genius with an agenda than an unpredictable lunatic. Given the fact that he's in complete control of his psyche makes him even more dangerous and even more relevant in the future. It's a fresh look at device Tom has used before. In the past, however, characters like Mad Jester were too crazy and out of control to be viewed as a dangerous threat. Even Buck Steele/Genocide deteriorated into a cartoon before Tom was finally done with them.
If Tom stays the course here, I think we have the makings of one of the greatest characters ever. I think he'll have to assume one more persona after Hector to make future storylines and feuds a little more fluid and flexible, but that doesn't need to happen in 2125, and it can be as simple as unmasking him and still calling him Hector. Here's a guy who can be the villain version of Wolf--a legitimate loner for all time who snags a few belts along the way. If he's portrayed as mentally unstable, I don't think we'll have this chance, and that would be unfortunate.

He seems to me to be the spiritual successor of Mimic (if he talked). Beat me to it. I thought the same thing.. Would it be great if he was Mimic all jaded and stuff.
