ROH World Champion Austin Aires is a nice signing for all the ROH fans. They have some of the best wrestlers in the sport today, but they have the absolute worst commentators ever. I think they actually took classes in college on how to sound drab and boring. The Airies signing does make me wonder if they got Nigel and Briscoes too ;D
ROH World Champion----ROH Heavyweight Champion.....who cares. It is just a name of a belt. What is sad is that you knew darn well what he meant, and yet you chose to nitpick instead of posting something relevant about the topic. No need to argue about something as stupid as a small detail on a post showing positive excitement toward LOW/LOTF.

It has never been called a Heavyweight belt. It was first called the ROH Championship, then the ROH World Championship. NOT a small detail. |

You know they have had a few, Samoa Joe for one. lol. But their roster has been mostly Junior's. Now days when you look at the indies, almost all the roster's are like that. The group I work with is 70% juniors. So we have no weight classes like ROH. Of course we are the only group in Tennessee that does not have the generic Heavyweight title. Or even worse, having a "World" title when the group wrestles 6 times a year at the same VFW hall in a small county in front of the same 12 people every show. But I digress.
The reason I nitpick on this is hopefully people will remember the proper name for the titles, and not everything is a generic "Heavyweight" title. Austin Aries is one of the best in the world today, a great wrestler and has created a very entertaining gimmick. But he is not a "heavyweight" and I am glad for it. He would be sucked into WWE and made to job to John Cena..... the horror.

I would like to see some more talent from NWA, there are several that would add to the game...
T.J.Perkins / Puma is one guy that delivers great action in the ring...
Phil Shatter is one of the top guys in the NWA and he is a future star and right now he's in TNA as security but could do more down the road...
"Feature Presentation" Jeff Lewis is another excellent wrestler that could add to the game, as would Mikael Judas and many others.

Do they even have heavyweights in ROH? I remember I posted something to that effect on the ROH board like, two years ago, and it got ugly pretty quick. Apparently you only have to be like, 220 pounds now and want to be Japanese (Not for nothing, a LOT of guys in ROH are like this and I don't get why) to be considered a heavyweight. |

ROH Heavyweight Champion Austin Aries is signed! That's sweet! Not a huge fan of the guy but he's a big name to add to LOTF. Especially being the only 2 time ROH Heavyweight Champ.
