Non-Tag Team Title Tournament MatchBout #8: BSW Heavyweight Title Match
Drake Younger vs. Brent Albright (c)
- A lot of people may wonder if Drake Younger is championship material. He has looked very impressive thus far here in Big South. It has been a very interesting ride, thus far, for Younger; who has kept things clean thus far. Albright is coming off a tough tag team bout, but he looks ready to have a great bout. They trade some lock-ups to start, with Brent showing his power advantage. Brent scored with a nice snap suplex, but Drake was able to avoid Albright's dropkick and answer with a quick roll-up, but only scored a one-count. Several hard forearm shots and stiff chops, peppered both men's chests. Drake caught Brent with a headbutt and scored with an Exploder suplex. Drake then nailed his Drake's Landing, but instead of going for the pin, he locked on a Muta Lock with a double chickenwing. Brent was about to tap-out, when he was able to wiggle his way toward the ropes. The fans seemed to be split, as the new Drake Younger fans began to get louder. Brent slid out of the ring, but Drake dives over the ropes with a plancha and both men land down hard. As they get back in the ring, Drake was lining the champ up for his Drake 'n' Bake, but he could not hold him and Brent nailed an Exploder suplex. This turned the tide and Brent used a Northern Lights suplex, but could only hold it for a 2-count. Brent picked up Drake and nailed his half-nelson suplex for the 3-count at 25:17. The fans were all cheering at the end. Brent holds the belt up high, as Drake gets up holding his neck. They shake hands in a show of respect.
Team Title Tournament: Round 3 - The FinalsAge of the Fall vs. Backseat Boyz (w/ Sweeney)
- No respect was shown here, as all 4 men want the gold so badly, that they will do anything to get it. Kashmere wasted no time working over Jacobs, as Lee was reaching for the tag. Acid and Kashmere made some quick tags, as Jacobs kept fighting back to his feet. Jacobs slid out of the ring and drew the attention of the ref and Larry Sweeney. Lee came in behind the ref's back and kicked Acid in the kidneys. Kashmere walked into a big chop and then a headbutt. Lee ducked out, just as Jacobs slid back in and made the tag. Acid tagged Kashmere, just as Lee gets to them. Kashmere eats another headbutt and is whipped him into the corner. Lee ran at Kashmere, as Sweeney jumped up in the apron. Sweeney gave Kashmere a shove at the last minute and eat the Big Boot. Lee turned, after knocking Sweeney to the floor, and Kashmere and Acid were waiting to nail Lee with the T-Gimmick. Kashmere hooked the big leg and Acid held off Jacobs, as the Backseat Boyz win the BSW Tag Team Championships at 13:32. The Backseat Boyz grab the belts and scooped up Sweeney, as they celebrated with the gold going up the ramp. Sweeney, now getting his senses back, realizes that his team has won the gold and starts screaming with joy. The AOTF are in the ring, looking madder than anything. This battle has just started, but that is it for this evening.
