Show #5: Roanoke Civic Center - Roanoke, VA
"Strange Bedfellows"
*Joey Styles and Michael PS Hayes are in the ring. Hayes and Styles both have mics.
Styles: Well, Michael, this is going to be one heck of a night! I can't wait to see the action unfold. This is so different than the usual card here in America.
Hayes: Your right, Joey. That is why I really thought that not only would the people in Roanoke....{cheap pop!}....love it, but it would actually settle our situations.
Styles: Yeah, but you know that these teams are just going to break down and turn into brawls.
Hayes: No, it won't, Joey....because if anyone turns on their partner, they will be suspended from wrestling without pay! And they will have to set-up and take down the ring with the ring-crew and even buy them all dinner after the show! I am not in any mood for their usual garbage and whining....they need to just shut-up and wrestle! Lets get to the action.
"Parejas Incredibles" Tournament: Round 1Bout #1:
Chris Hero & Nick Jackson vs. Matt Jackson & Trent Acid
- Hero opened the match with Acid in the ring. While Hero wants a piece of both The Young Bucks, the Kings of Wrestling and the Backseat Boyz have no love-lost for each other as well. Solid action, with Hero scoring some big moves early. Matt tagged in and Hero went to work on brutalizing the the smaller man. Hero used a fireman's carry slam to get Matt down and bounced off the ropes for a big elbow drop, but Nick made the blind tag. Nick came in, with a very dismissive wave to his partner. Hero, furious, begrudging went to the apron. Nick picked Matt up, but didn't attack him. He whipped Matt into the ropes, where Matt scored a flying forearm to Hero. Chris went to the floor, as The Bucks seemed to set that move up on purpose. Matt and Nick traded some simple headlocks, but nothing extremely dangerous. The ref started to tell the men that they needed to get on with it, so Nick and Matt started criss-crossing the ring hitting the ropes. This gave Hero the opportunity to nail Matt in the back with a hard knee. Nick got in Hero's face, which allowed Hero to make the tag and he launched Nick into Acid, using his partner to take out the other team member. Hero grabbed Matt and finished him off with his Hero's Welcome at 13:15 to advance. Nick was furious and jumped back up in the ring. While neither man wanted to be suspended, they near came to blows. This should be interesting in the next round.
Bout #2:
Jimmy Jacobs & Tyler Black vs. Drake Younger & Brodie Lee
- It became very clear from the opening bell that Lee and Jacobs would not be battling each other in this match, as Black stared against Lee. Jacobs was yelling at the crowd, when Black tagged him in. Lee immediately tagged Drake and left the ring, as the fans booed the Age of the Fall members. Drake and Jimmy traded elbow and forearm smashes before turning to blistering chops. Each chop drew a huge "WHOOOOOO!" from the packed house. Jimmy chose to to return Drake's chop, but kicked him in the groin, turning the tide in his favor. He used a hip toss and then a satellite headscissors to take full control. He locked on a camel clutch, but Drake got to the ropes. Jimmy tagged in Tyler, who immediately went for a quick roll-up, which drew only a 2-count. Tyler then nailed him friend with a superkick, but again couldn't keep Drake down. Tyler whipped Younger into the corner and nailed a corner clothesline. He went for a second one but Drake got his knee up, allowing him to attempt a tag. Lee did not put out a hand to help Drake, who now was crawling toward his corner. Black got up and went to get Drake, but eat a head-butt for his effort and then a rolling arm drag. Drake scored with a vertical suplex and a nice spinebuster slam, but could only score a 2-count on Black. Drake caught Tyler with an Exploder Suplex and when he stood up, Lee tagged him on the back. Lee stepped into the ring and hoisted up Black to deliver his huge chokeslam. Instead of pinning him, Lee picked up Tyler and dragged him to his corner. Drake gave him a puzzled look as Lee started choking Black right in front of him. Lee broke the choke on 4 each time, but continued to choke Black, as his friend grew angrier and angrier. Drake finally had enough and he grabbed Lee's arm. Just when everyone thought that Drake was going to snap and attack Lee, he tagged the big man. Lee grabbed Black and hurled him toward Jacobs. Lee stood in Drake's way, as Black struggled to tag Jimmy. Drake clearly said to Lee to "get the @#$% out of my way." Jacobs tagged in and shot across the ring, were Lee moved and allowed Jimmy to nail Drake with a huge spear. Lee then grabbed the ref, as Jimmy used his railroad spike on Younger's head. A now bloody Younger stood in a daze, as Jimmy nailed a springboard dropkick. Lee let the ref go, just as Jimmy finished off Drake with The End of Time for the win at 15:01. After the match, Black covered up the hurt Drake, before Jacobs could kick him anymore. Black helped Drake out of the ring and to the back, as Jacobs and Lee {who just lost} celebrate the win for AOTF.
Bout #3:
Larry Sweeney & Delirious vs. Adam Pearce & Erick Stevens
- Delirious and Pearce began the match, with Delirious scoring a few quick shots on the bigger Pearce. Scrap Iron nailed a big right hand that stunned Delirious and then used a nice vertical suplex to take him to the mat. After a big spinebuster slam, Pearce tagged in Stevens. Stevens caught Delirious with a running elbow and then a tilt-a-whirl slam. Stevens scooped up Delirious for a Samoan Drop, but eat 6 quick elbow smashes to his mouth. Delirious nailed a leaping clothesline and then 20 clotheslines in the corner. Delirious looked excited and charged in at Stevens, but Erick fired out of the corner with a huge clothesline. Both Stevens and Delirious crawled to their corners and made the tags. Sweeney came in and acted as if he was ready to brawl. Pearce and Sweeney lock up, but the let go. Sweeney sticks his chin out and dares Pearce to punch him in the mouth. Pearce wound up and then lightly poked Sweeney in the chest. Sweeney went down hard and Pearce scored the pin at 12:19, as Delirious and Stevens were pulling themselves up. Neither man saw what happened in the ring or why the crowd was booing so hard. Pearce helped up Sweeney and they shook hands. Pearce and Sweeney left the ring, but were cut off by Joey Styles at the top of the ramp.
Joey: What was that!
Sweeney: What? That is just my number one man, "Scrap Iron" Adam Pearce advancing to the next round of the tournament!
Joey: You know what I mean, he barely touched you and you went down harder than the Mets in September!
Sweeney: What are you talkin' about! Adam pinned me right in the middle of the ring. The hit me with a shot when my hands were down and he won. This interview is over! {Pushes past Styles.}
Joey: {Shaking his head} Lets get back to the ring for our last opening round match-up.
Bout #4:
Claudio Castagnoli & Johnny Kashmere vs. Chuck Taylor & JD Michaels
- With all the "antics" in the first 3 matches of the tournament, it was really a welcome change when these 4 men got in the ring and had an outstanding tag team match. Both teams look impressive, as Kashmere and Claudio were able to use fast tags to isolate Michaels early. Claudio caught JD with a hard European uppercut and then a snap mare into his giant swing. Claudio made the tag to gather his senses, as Johnny caught JD with a bulldog on his way in. Taylor made the save, but as the ref was pushing him out of the ring, Kashmere was able to nail a moonsault. Claudio came in and caught JD with a cravate. Claudio whipped JD into the ropes and went for a back-body drop, but was caught with a hard knee. JD fell back and tagged Chuck, who came in a house-of-fire. Taylor landed hard shots on both the legal man (Claudio) and the illegal man (Kashmere). Taylor caught Kashmere with a big boot, sending him down hard to the mat, but Claudio was waiting on him and caught him with a shoulder block and then a European Uppercut. Kashmere got up and tagged Claudio, allowing them to use the double-team, as the ref counted. They nailed Taylor with the Backseat Driver and Kashmere nailed his Cradle Breaker, as the ref made Claudio leave the ring. JD was just getting to his feet, when Kashmere tagged Claudio and tackles JD off the apron and to the floor. Claudio came in an nailed Taylor with his Ricola Bomb and the ref counted 3 at the 21:17 mark. An amazing tag bout from these "Parejas Incredibles"!
"Parejas Incredibles" Tournament: Round 2Bout #5:
Chris Hero & Nick Jackson vs. Jimmy Jacobs & Tyler Black (w/Brodie Lee)
-As we moved through the first round, it became very clear that some teams have more trust issues than others. Hero and Nick obviously do not want to be paired up, but with the money and the chance to book any match they want on the line, they need to get on the same page to advance. Black and Jacobs came to the ring and started by isolating Nick in the ring. Jacobs and Tyler took turns pounding on Nick. Jacobs caught him with a spear that nearly cut him in half. Nick reached up to tag Hero, but Chris just stared at him. Black grabbed Nick and gave him a turnbuckle powerbomb, followed by fireman's carry gutbuster. Jacobs and Black then caught Nick with Rolling Thunder, which could have been the end of the match. Black went up top and nailed the Phoenix Splash to win at 11:46. Hero never even moved a muscle to save Nick or make the tag. Hero walked out, as the ref was counting the fall. On his way to the back, Hero is stopped by Joey Styles and Michael PS Hayes.
Joey: What are you doing?
Hero: Nothing.
Hayes: We can see that! You didn't do an dang thing in that match. What's wrong with you?
Hero: Me? What's wrong with me? You are the one who booked this garbage.
Hayes: You didn't do anything!
Hero: I don't have to break the rules to try and save my partner from being pinned. I don't have to extend my hand for a tag during a match. I don't have to do anything in a match if I am not breaking the rules.
Hayes: OK, but you blew your chance at the money and the match. Why?
Hero: I got what I wanted; The Young Bucks go home tonight as losers. Matt got what was coming to him in the first round and now Black and Jacobs beat down Nick. I am a happy man.
Joey: Of all the low-down things....
Hero: Don't judge me, little man. I don't care if you KOed JBL or not, I am the Knock-Out Kid and I won't stand for any of your crap. Now, get out of my way.
Hayes: Hey, I'm not done with you! {Hero walks to the back, being trailed by Hayes, yelling for him to stop.}
Bout #6:
Adam Pearce & Erick Stevens (w/ Sweeney) vs. Claudio Castagnoli & Johnny Kashmere
- Sweeney accompanies Pearce and Stevens to the ring, as Claudio and Kashmere are already in the ring. As the bout starts, Pearce blasts Claudio with a huge right hand, knocking him to the floor. Erick starts in the ring with Kashmere. Stevens seems like a man possessed, as he does not let up. Stevens used a clothesline and running elbow to make Kashmere's legs wobbly. A big headbutt set up a tilt-a-whirl slam. Pearce and Claudio were still battling on the floor, as Stevens nailed his "Choo Choo! corner splash. Kashmere seemed to be out on his feet, when Stevens dragged him up and delivered his Doctor Bomb at 7:10 to advance to the finals. Sweeney jumped up on the apron and got into the ring. Sweeney went to congratulate Stevens on the win, but Erick pushed past him and climbed out of the ring. Stevens looks very unsettled as he walked up the ramp. Sweeney and Pearce were celebrating in the ring, without a care about Stevens.
Parejas Incredibles Finals
Bout #7:
Jimmy Jacobs & Tyler Black (w/ Lee) vs. Adam Pearce & Erick Stevens (w/ Sweeney)
- This match has all the making of a classic, but could quickly turn into an absolute mess as well. Stevens and Jacobs start the match, trading hard chops to the chest. Stevens nailed Jacobs with a solid forearm and then a clothesline to take the early advantage. A quick series of headbutts and a Samoan Drop only scored a 2-count. Stevens nailed a "Choo Choo!" corner splash. Erick picks up Jacobs and whips him into the ropes, but Jimmy hangs on. Stevens charged him, but Jimmy pulled the rope down and send Erick to the floor. Jimmy tagged Tyler, as Erick quickly got back into the ring. Black was waiting on him and caught him with a boot to the midsection and then a roundhouse kick. Tyler the scored with an enzuigiri. Stevens was able to avoid a superkick and tagged in Pearce. Black and Pearce traded some stiff chops and forearms to begin with, but Pearce landed a big right hand to slow Tyler. A hard shoulder tackle, allowed Pearce to set up a textbook vertical suplex. Tyler avoided a dropkick attempt and answered with a big boot to the rising Pearce. Black was able to connect with the superkick this time and drove the stunned Pearce back with a big boot into the corner. A corner clothesline by Black really had Pearce hurting, as he went down hard. A standing shooting star press by Tyler only scored a 2-count, but Tyler never let up. Repeated knees and boots hurt Pearce. Stevens broke up a pin attempt after a fireman's carry gutbuster. This drew Jacobs into the ring, as Stevens and Jacobs battled. Pearce was getting to his feet, when Sweeney hopped up on the apron. The ref was too busy with Stevens and Jacobs to see Sweeney sucker punch Black. Pearce grabbed Black and went for a short-arm clothesline, but Black ducked it. Pearce kicked him in the kidney to slow him and bounced off the ropes to nail a big shoulder tackle. As Pearce was barreling toward Black, Lee stepped in and nailed Adam with his Big Boot. Sweeney and Lee began to brawl out to the floor and Black went to the top ropes. He nailed his Phoenix Splash on the prone Pearce. Jacobs seeing this, told the ref to count the pinfall, as Jacobs tied up Stevens on the floor. Lee and Sweeney were battling on the other side of the floor, when the ref turned around. Black called for the ref and as he was about to pin Pearce, he fell down and draped Adam's arm over his chest. The ref, confused, counted the 3-count. Jacobs stopped battling with Stevens, as he though Black scored the win. He never saw Black screw him over by allowing the semi-conscience Pearce get the pin fall. Black called for the mic.
Black: Jacobs, you moron...turn around! Jimmy, you are dead meat....I screwed you over and now I am going to rid the BSW of the cancer that is the Age of the Fall. {The crowd cheers for Black, as they now understand why he lose the match on purpose.} After the title match tonight, I am going to finally get rid of the AOTF once and for all.
*Jacobs had a look of disbelief on his face, as the ref raised the limp arm of Adam Pearce, to signal that Stevens and Pearce had won the Parejas Incredibles tournament.
Non-Tournament Match:
Bout #8: BSW Championship Match
Ricky Landell vs. Brent Albright (c)
- The semi-main event here opened with the 3-time defending getting an early advantage with a hard shoulder tackle and then a snap suplex. Ricky avoided an attempted dropkick and answered with a side headlock into vertical suplex. After a shin-breaker, Ricky caught the champ with a standing dropkick and the a huge missile dropkick. Ricky used a gut-wrench suplex to score a 2-count. Landell nailed his Fisherman Buster, but Brent got his foot on the rope. Landell went up to the top and came off with an double ax-handle, but was caught in a modified half-nelson suplex. Brent caught Landell with his 6-1-Knee and then locked on the Crowbar to complete his fourth straight defense at the 13:56 mark. After the bout, Brent shook hands with Landell in a sign of respect.
*Michael PS Hayes comes out to the ring with a microphone in his hand.
Hayes: OK, ladies and gentlemen. I know that there has been some buzz in the crowd about what exactly tonight's main event will entail. After speaking to both Tyler Black and Jimmy Jacobs, we have come up with the stipulations for the "Luchas de Apuestas". They are simply this: If Jimmy loses, the Age of the Fall must disbanded forever, if Tyler loses, he must rejoin the Age of the Fall. These are both very powerful results, so I decided that a regular match just wouldn't cut it. No fluke wins or phantom pins are needed here, so it was decided that then final bout will a cage match! This is the first match of this kind to ever happen here in the BSW and we feel that this match warrants these stipulations. Lets get to the match. {The ring crew begin setting up the cage, as Hayes is finishing his speech.}
"Luchas de Apuestas" Main EventBout #9: Cage Match
Tyler Black vs. Jimmy Jacobs
-Black enters the cage first. He looked as mad as hell before the bell as even rung. Jacobs, accompanied by Lee, comes down to the cage. Jacobs gets into the ring and the door is locked. Lee stays at ringside for Jacobs, and grabs the cage and shakes it to let Tyler know he is still there. Black kicks the cage where Lee's hands are to make him step back. Jacobs used this opening to attack Black from behind. Jimmy begins to land hard forearms across Tyler's back and stiff chops that raise welts on Tyler's chest. Black fires back with his own chops and the tide begins to turn, when Tyler drives a hard knee into Jacob's mid-section. Black tries a quick roll-up, but fails to score anything more than a 1-count. Jacobs attempts to go for a low blow, but Tyler answers him with a solid right to the mouth. Tyler then nailed him with a big boot and a corner clothesline. Jacobs was hurting in the corner, while Black hoists him up and delivers a harsh turnbuckle powerbomb. Jacobs is screaming in pain and begging Lee to help him. Brodie starts pulling the cage, straining the metal loops holding the sides together. Jimmy is hurting still when Tyler uses his Paroxysm to drive him down hard. Jacobs was able to somehow get his shoulder out at 2.9. Lee has bent the loops enough to get his hand inside the cage. He goes under the ring and is searching for something. He emerges brandishing heavy-duty metal cutters. The crowd starts to boo so loud, that Black's attention is drawn to the big man's actions. Tyler starts trying to kick Lee's attempted cutting actions, landing several hard boots. Lee continues to work on the side of the cage, as BSW officials try to restrain him. The referee on the outside is choke-slammed on the floor. Meanwhile, in the ring, Jacobs has started to get to his feet. He nails Tyler in the back with a hard running knee strike. The strike, which caught Tyler in his kidney, sent him down hard. Lee continued to work, as Jacobs not retook control. Jacobs stomped Tyler in the groin, before he drove a big knee to Tyler's jaw. Jacobs used this opportunity to nail a series of merciless stomps. A double ax handle followed by a kick to the groin, allowed Jimmy to nail a diving senton. He only scored a 2-count, but he refused to stop. Jacobs drove several hard knees to Black's legs and locked on a camel clutch. Black was able to escape by grabbing the ropes, as Lee started peeling back the side of the cage. Drake Younger raced out of the back and nailed Lee with a huge forearm. Lee staggered back as Drake then chopped him with a hard knife-edge chop to the upper chest. Jacobs started getting furious that Drake was interfering with Lee's attempt to destroy the cage. Black got back to his feet and was holding on the ropes, when Jacobs turned around into a superkick. Lee gouged Drake in the eyes and kicked him in the groin. A monstrous headbutt staggers Drake and then Lee clotheslines Younger to the floor. Lee rips the side of the cage open enough that he can fit his whole arm through. He grabbed Black's ankle, giving Jacobs a chance to get his barrings. Lee tossed Jacobs a pair of handcuffs. Tyler started kicking Lee, but Jimmy speared Black into the turnbuckle. Jimmy smashed Tyler in the mouth with the handcuffs, causing a flow of crimson down Tyler's chin. Jacobs handcuffed Black to the bottom ropes and locked on his The End Time. Tyler Black was fighting it hard at first but slowly started to fade. He seemed to be out from the choke, so Jacobs pulled out his railroad spike and started to brutally attack Tyler's head. Blood started to pour from his skull, as Drake was getting back to his feet. Drake pleaded for the ref to stop the match, but Black had not submitted and was not pinned. Drake tried to get in the cage, but Lee stopped him. Drake went low on Lee and went under the ring. He returned with his light tubes and smashed them across the face of Lee, sending the big man down screaming. Drake then climbed up the cage and dove on Jacobs. Jimmy slid away, as Drake tended to his friend. The ref came over and checked on Tyler. He began a 10 count, as Drake and Jimmy battled in the ring. Brent Albright and Erick Stevens also came rushing out to try and assist with Tyler. The ref counted 10 and awarded the bout to Jimmy Jacobs. A bloody and beaten Tyler Black lay in a huge pool of blood, as they tried to uncuff him. Drake and Jimmy were separated and Jimmy made his retreat with Lee.
They both were in pain and covered in blood, but they now had what they wanted. Tyler Black was now a member of the Age of the Fall, not because he wanted to be, but be because they made him.*Black was taken to the hospital for medical treatment and observation.
