well, I just got home at 4 pm today (monday) after a long ass haul from Omaha! It was well worth the trip as usual and the Pokett family is great. Thanks for letting me crash their couch and hang out! When I wasn't rolling the bones with the boys, I got to hang out with Scott's two little cuties, Madison and Abby (Maddie is 7, Abby 4) and kept them entertained. (or maybe they kept me "entertained" with their antics, haha) CoRn was fun as Brian and his wife making their first appearance to Corn was great! Super Good people and Eric is right on with saying Bri's wife is one patient lady! My hat goes off to her for being such a good sport while her husband played with his friends for 8 hours straight! It's real fun watching the kids get into the game! I think I enjoy watching them play and getting excited more than me actually playing. Just getting to hang out with everyone is what it really is to me! Lots of great hand outs as well. And yes Holland, Brian made sure we got your "LOW Real Life Chart". Very cool idea and am going to have to try that out at some point. Eric had his Wild Card set to hand out which was pretty cool to see some old school stuff getting a face lift. Scott had some great charts like a Parking Lot Brawl and the Cage of Death match! Both Scott and I also released a couple sets for everyone, The Gladiators of Aethra and the Legends of Lucha Libre, which seemed to go over pretty well. Also, I released The Barnyard Brawler and Second Coming at CoRn which everyone seemed to appreciate. Tournament wise, not bad. Some really innovative and crazy matches went on throughout the day. I managed to win two tournaments, Still the HardCORN Champion and we had a Blind Draw Tournament where everyone put in two wrestlers (good or bad) and whoever we drew is who we had to use. Poor Eric ended up with Crush as his only entrant and got ousted right away by Paganax (me) who won the dang thing! Other than that, I got my butt handed to me, mostly by the Keens, most of the day. Just a fun time again, looking forward to driving 10 hours again next year to attend the big 10 year anniversary of GalactiCORN! OH YEAH, to answer TM's question, I call shenanigans, as I suspect Mr. Keen might've hid the Tiera so he wouldn't have to wear it!!! As it was out earlier in the day and then somehow ended up missing?!? Hmmmmm, I think Tommy wasn't "man" enough to wear that Tiera like Jim Steel did a couple years ago!!! Even Tommy's own son Greg wore it with pride! What a wimp! Also, I thought it was really cool that the Keen kids all came in Saturday with their "Gladiator" face paint on ready to kick some ass and take names! My only regret is I didn't have mine on!

I totally forgot about the kids in their Gladiator paint, good catch Ray. Also forgot about me getting shafted with my only pick of Crush...dammit. I did get a chance to use Second Coming and won with them even, great cards. I didn't get any pics, but I think someone will post pics and maybe TK has results...someone does I'm sure. Everything happened so fast that I didn't get a chance to take them down.

And I finally got those pictures uploaded from the email. Dang, I've been a busy boy since I got home hahaha Here's Brian U vs. Scott P. for the King of the Corn Finals! Brian had Harley Race and Poke had Endgame. Eric read charts as they were rolled as we all gathered around to see what happens! The Mega Match up was on and it was classic. HARLEY RACE WINS!!!! HARLEY RACE WINS!!!!! HARLEY RACE WINS!!!! Everyone was cheering as Poke's Endgame had Race on the ropes and on the verge of losing. Somehow Race pulls out the big win!!! The house must of have shaken at it foundation from the roar!!! The KING OF THE CORN, Brian U.!!! Congrats Bri on the big win and first timer at CORN! Here's Eric (Avarice) with his Fed Championship! A well deserved title reign for this guy! And here's me with Disaster as the HardCORN Champion for the second year in a row! Woot! Love it when an Aethran takes this tournament! Here's all the Champions and the "Queen of the Corn" (Ladies tournament) Mr. Tom Keen. And here's the GALACTICORN 2009 attendees! Front (L-R): Alex Keen, Marcus Keen, Eric Konence, Don Jones, Greg Keen. Back (L-R): Host with the Most: Scott Pokett, "Queenie" Tom Keen, King Brian Underdahl, HardCORN Ray DeGarmo, Cameron Keen.

The cheering photo couldn't have been snapped at a much better time. I didn't know it was even taken like that. Damn the KOTC belt looks great in pictures. Need to find that guy who makes them.

Thanks!! GalactiCorn 2009 was a great time. It was fun catching up with Poke and Old Skewl, as well as meeting Eric, Ray, Don and the rest of Old Skewl's family. From dinner Friday night at Outback to Sunday's final tourney, it was non-stop fun. And yes, my always patient wife let me have fun (the rest of the trip was dedicated to whatever she wanted to do). She enjoyed meeting everyone.
The tournaments were a good time. Never a dull moment, with LOW, COTG and bootlegs flying everywhere. And if you ever get the chance to play Old Skewl or his kids, first they know the charts and play really fast. Matches are very face paced. But they are great kids and fun to joke around with. And having Chikara and WXW matches in the background added to the excitement. Won't forget Claudio pushing up ceiling tiles or those German guys having a sick hardcore match.
Avarice's new set and the new Lucha and Gladiator sets look phenomenal. Looking forward to rolling them later this week.
And don't let Justin Case fool you, he is a tough customer to roll against.
While Ernie Ladd, RVD, Mil and Thantos let me down, Star Warrior did well and Harley Race was the man at the Champions tourney. Who says LOW is not the best game EVER?!
It was a great time and thanks to Poke for hosting this great event, Avarice for the belts and everyone for participating in this wonderful event.
