Hackenschmidt seems like quite the comeback kid for you...taking a beating and pulling off wins out of nowhere. He does. He needs a big win or 2 over ranked wrestlers to move up the ranking so he doesn't risk dropping out of the top 10 and be subject to termination.

5/7/2007
Dukedave - "With Lethal Lottery this Sunday we need to decide on the #1 contender for both singles titles. With the US Title changing hands twice in April, two wrestlers have claims to be the number one contender, Ray Stevens & Rikidozan. They will go at it tonight with the title shot on the line. For the world title, Nick Bockwinkel deserves a rematch but I cannot ignore the top 2 contenders as ranked by the Championship Committee. For that reason, Bockwinkel, Steve Corino, & Don Leo Johnathan will compete in a Triple Threat match with the winner facing Harley Race at Lethal Lottery. Regarding Lethal Lottery, all eight matches will be specialty matches with the stipulations randomly generated right before the match."
George Hackenschmidt vs Ed Lewis(w/Nikita Breznikov) - Hackenschmidt controls early but can't close the deal with a Russian Bear Hug. The Strangler takes over and eventually gets the win with a Double Wristlock.
Armstrongs vs Mad Dog Vachon & Bob Orton Sr(w/Oliver Humperdink - Vachon & Orton isolate and dominate BG James. Mad Dog has the pin following a Double Foot Stomp. Bob makes the save and Orton comes in the ring as well. When the ref turns to escort Orton to the corner, Bullet Bob hits an Atomic Drop on Vachon and BG James gets the pin.
Antonino Rocca vs Cowboy Bob Orton(w/ Oliver Humperdink) - Orton dominates from start to finish and gets the pin following a second Superplex.
Non-Title - Frank Gotch (w/Lou Albano) vs Giant Baba - Good match sees Gotch kick out of an early Neckbreaker Drop and come back to get the win with a Gotch Toehold.
Killer Bees vs Ted DiBiase & Steve Williams(w/Sherri Martel) - The Million Dollar Man demanded this match to seek revenge for losing the #1 contender's match last week. In a short contest, DiBiase gets the win with a Vertical Suplex on Jim Brunzell. While Dr Death is going at it with B Brian Blair outside the ring, DiBiase locks the Million Dollar Sleeper on Brunzell. He has it on for minutes as Brunzell is out cold. Security breaks it up but the paramedics are having trouble reviving Brunzell and he is stretcher out of the ring. (Brunzell inj 7 cards)
#1 US Contender - Rikidozan vs Ray Stevens(w/Bobby Heenan - Rikidozan wins the match by countout following a Scoop Slam on the concrete. Dukedave comes out and announces that there is no way he can award a title shot like that and orders the match restarted. Stevens hits a Bombs Away but Rikidozan kicks out. Rikidozan controls the rest of the match but Heenan tries to interfere. Rikidozan clotheslines the Weasel out of the ring and then hits a Piledriver on Stevens for the win.
Non-Title - Harley Race(w/Bobby Heenan) vs Dick Hutton - Short match ends ends in when Harley Race is trying to get back in the ring to avoid the countout but he "trips" and Hutton scores the countout win.
#1 LWF contender Triple Threat - Don Leo Johnathan vs Steve Corino vs Nick Bockwinkel - Don Leo and Bockwinkel both takes turns on Corino. In the process, Corino receives a Figure Four, Bockwinkel Sleeper, and a Mormon Swing. Corino does show some offense and does hit an Old School Expulsion on both of them during the match. Bockwinkel hits a knee smash to Don Leo's back that sends him through the ropes to the floor. Bockwinkel locks the Figure Four Leglock again on Corino, who is forced to submit when Johnathan cannot get up to force the hold to be broken. After the match, an irate Corino and Captain Lou put the boots to Don Leo. With Nikita Breznikov nowhere to be seen, Bockwinkel returns to the ring and runs them off.
The next day, the following is posted on LWF.com - "Commissioner Dukedave regretfully announces that Jim Brunzell has a severe concussion. The doctor's have announced that he will be out of action for several weeks and as such the Killer Bees will not be able to cash in their title shot. Our office has decided that the intention of Ted DiBiase was to intentionally injure him so that his team would get the title shot. For that reason, they have been passed over and the LWF Tag Title shot will go to the Fabulous Kangaroos."
