Did any of you ignore the rules for Destruction 3000 and actually allow him to be ranked, fight for titles, wrestle often?

Not me. I think I only had him wrestle a few times. I just couldn't get my mind around having a manager that was so much tougher than everyone he managed, so I kind of downplayed that part of it.
I wonder how he'd do in 2124 with Monolith and Endgame around. Or how about a best of seven with Iron Hand? Maybe someone should sim that and share the results.

Never had many matches with Destructon (sp), but I hardly ever had managers wrestle, anyway.

I had a short Raven vs. Buck Steele/Genocide feud. Destructon got into the ring for a few tag matchs against Wolf & Genocide and took on Genocide in a few singles matches. Other than that, I never used him.

I only used him once in a great while and interestingly, he often lost. Funniest loss was in a rare managers/bodyguards battle royal around 2100 I did.

I'm in the midst of replaying the old sets on COTGonline, and I'm almost up to that point in my fed. I have been thinking about this, and I think I may ignore the rules, and build him up to be on as being this big, bad, virtually unbeatable figure, someone everone aspires to beat. But I would probably only run with that for a short time, and then take him back down to being a special attraction.

Im i 2119 and I still use Destrution 3000 as a special treat that travels from territory to territory, like Andre once was or Bruiser Brody. See,Destrution for me has become somewhat of a sympathetic character. He was made the ultimate wrestling machine only to be used as a manager for the W.A.R. I think that a talent is always begging to be used , and once the prime directive of exacting retribution from the Aethrans was reasonably met , where would someone like 3000 go?I mean, come on, this guy must have some ambitions and he certainly has the time.In my little world, Destrution has continuously campaigned to be let onto the books with little sucsess. Since he doesn't age (I wouldn't think with some up keep) he has throughout the years built up his argument for being officially sanctioned. He brings up guys like Genocide, Wraith and Max Sheild, not to mention Colossus, all being let in to wrestle. Or, the whole cosmic battle crap (which turned out to be a giant work with both Mesmer and Phantast at the center of it all,at least for me) with wizards at ringside. Right now he points to genetic manipulation like Darwins Legacy and Rubicon. He is starting to get some support where he needs it. I think that by the time Monolith and Iron Hand turn upI just might give it the green light in one of the promotions somewhere.I think with that and a little more work ,the character could be fun and meaningful, worthy of the stats on the back of the card, and not just some vanilla stacked monster.

I am thinking about it when I get to that point to use him as any other wrestler would!

I remember getting that set (2094 I think?) and going through all of the cards (like I do with any new set I get) and thinking "Man, this guy looks AWESOME!" only to be extremely let down when I read in the booklet that he was just a manager. I think I used him a few times but stuck too much to the rules to allow him to be a regular wrestler. What could've been...
