IWLF
MADISON SQUARE GARDEN, NEW YORK, NY
Match #1: "Lightning" Mike Quackenbush def. "The Belgian Brawler" Dupae Rupa (11:28)
Two potential future stars face off in the opener but Quackenbush is the better here, winning in almost easy fashion with the QUACKENDRIVER III
Match #2: The London Underground ("Exotic" Adrian Street & "Nasty" Nigel McGuinness w/ Sir Oliver Humperdink) def. S.D. Jones & **Soul Train Jones (15:40)
S.D. teams with his cousin Soul Train but they fall to the Englishmen when Nigel derails the Soul Train with the JAWBREAKER LARIAT
** Soul Train Jones = Virgil
Match #3: The Sheik (with The Grand Wizard) vs. Brain Blair - 20 minute draw
Sheik uses his object to carve up Blair but the Killer Bee will not stay down as he manages to fight back and force a draw, surviving being tossed outside the ring as the bell rings at the count of 8 before a bloodied and seemingly beaten Blair can be counted out.
Blair's partner Jim Brunzell comes down to help him to the back and prevent any further attack
Match #4: WORLD HEAVYWEIGHT CHAMPIONSHIP
Antonino Rocca def. Buddy Rogers (champion) (23:28)
Rocca begins to build momentum and has Rogers up in the ARGENTINIAN BACKBREAKER when Killer Kowalski runs down and distracts the referee as it looks like the champion is submitting to the pain.
But the referee doesn't hear it as he is busy calling for officials to remove Kowalski from ringside so the match can continue.
But the damage is done and Rocca is eventually able to apply the bow and arrow on Rogers' already strained back to get the submission and win the WORLD HEAVYWEIGHT CHAMPIONSHIP!
(intermission)
Match #5: UNITED STATES CHAMPIONSHIP
Bobo Brazil (champion) def. Killer Kowalski (14:15)
Kowalski has the champion reeling in the beginning and things look bad but Killer misses a turnbuckle charge, injuring his shoulder.
The champ seizes the chance and applies a grinding hammerlock until the challenger has no option but to submit
Bobo Brazil retains the UNITED STATES CHAMPIONSHIP
Match #6: GRUDGE MATCH
Ray Stevens def. Pepper Gomez (2:10)
Stevens attacks Gomez as he's entering the ring, knocking him to the floor with a running knee to the face!
He goes out and repeatedly smashes Pepper into the ringpost before throwing him back into the ring
Crippler climbs to the top and delivers the BOMBS AWAY!
Gomez is pinned!
Stevens heads to the top to deliver another knee drop, pointing to his throat with sinister implications but Jimmy Valiant runs down and pulls Gomez from the ring and out of harm's way.
Valiant grabs a chair and Stevens retreats to the back, satisfied with the damage he's done.
Jimmy Valiant helps Pepper Gomez to the back.
Match #7: INTERNATIONAL TAG TEAM TITLE MATCH
The Mongols (champions) def. Bob and Brad Armstrong (22:40)
Andre the Giant is introduced as the guest referee
Before the match Andre orders Wild Red Berry to leave ringside!
Berry protests so Andre headbutts him out of the ring!
The Mongols are on their own tonight!
These two teams match up rather well and the advantage shifts back and forth many times throughout.
Andre remains impartial the whole way through.
The champs eventually wear down their opponents using double team moves and the end comes when Geeto hits the TOP ROPE KNEE DROP on Brad to score the pin with Bob unable to make the save.
The Mongols retain the International Tag Team titles.
Match #8: "All-American" Bob Roop def. Dewey Robertson (7:52)
Dewey has the early advantage but Roop catches him with a knee to the midsection and quickly delivers the SHOULDER BREAKER for the win.

Well, Buddy Rogers' title reign was a short one. Pepper Gomez can't catch a break against Stevens, rolling the beatdown on the Capetta card and pinned in 1 move! Bobo Brazil was strong against Kowalski The Mongols had their troubles against the Armstrongs which doesn't give me hope against future contenders The Sheik continues to carve people up with the object, Blair was up to 8 for a pin count and my timer expired as Sheik chucked him from the ring We'll see how long Rocca can hold on to the World title. Rogers will get a rematch I'm sure. Don't wanna see the belt change hands every month. We'll see how it all plays out after my next 4 weeks of TV

Yeah sometimes the dice don't play nice when it comes to title reigns, yeah it would nice to see your fed have some lengthy title reigns, Rocca could have a good reign...

Thanks Dustin, I appreciate all feedback, positive and otherwise. I'm running that MSG show now, well, slowly in between catching up on old Conan, Letterman and Jersey Shore (I need to re-brand someone as The Situation, who's from Jersey?) Check back later and I hope you dig it. Steve Corino is billed from New Jersey and would probably be your best bet. Aside from him, I think King Kong Bundy, Chris Candido, and Diamond Dallas Page all hail from the Garden Sate.
