Thanks very much for the comments Pariah, Bri, Troy, Crimson, AJ and Bookerbill. I was not expecting that title change as I figured either manager interfering would result in a DQ. After the finish, especially on a snake eyes roll, I decided to add the Midnight Express into the match at WrestleCade 12 to make it a Triple Threat. I was hoping for Rock n' Roll Express vs. Midnight Express but the dice took it in another direction which is actually pretty cool As a big fan of Nick Bockwinkel & Ray Stevens myself it was great to see them capture their first LOW World tag title. Next up is ECW action and the final show going into WrestleCade 12 weekend. I hope that you enjoy it...
Hot Stuff International, Inc. presents Extreme CHIKARA Wrestling - Mississippi Coast Coliseum - Jackson, MS (Card #1196)
* “Hot Stuff” Eddie Gilbert, flanked by his associates Ox Baker, T-D Machines (#1 & #2), DJ Hyde and Larry Dallas, opened the show thanking the crowd for coming but said that they would go home disappointed when The Sandman and Jigsaw lose in the main event. The crowd jeered that which pleased Gilbert who then promised year-end bonuses to his men for helping to make ECW great again. As he continued talking, Gilbert was distracted by an unkempt looking fellow who wandered around the ringside area. Gilbert stepped towards the ropes to get a better look and then tore into the vagabond:
EG: “Hey, hey you! Didn’t I see you on the side of the road on my way into the arena. What the heck are you doing down here at ringside? Security get this man and drag him out of here… (Larry Dallas then whispered something in Gilbert’s ear) He’s who? The Hobo? What the hell is “The Hobo”? Hey brother, can you spare a dime ha, ha! Get a load of this guy thinking he belongs at my show… (Dallas whispered to Gilbert again) You what? He’s booked! I can’t believe this. You’re telling me that this guy is employed by LOW All-Star Wrestling and is a wrestler? Ok if you say so but Dallas I don’t care who you booked him against, but it’s changed. I’m going to make this one fun. Hey, you bum, climb up in this ring right now because here is your opponent – DJ Hyde!”
Quick Results:
1) DJ Hyde defeated The Hobo (Pinfall – Shadow Driver, a single-armed Omega Driver)
2) T-D Machines (#1 & #2) defeated Dez Peloton (Jasper Tippins & Donald Kluger) (T-D Machine #1 pinned Jasper Tippins – Knee Drop Off Ropes)
3) “Rajin Cajun” Lash Leroux defeated Alex Colon (Pinfall – Snake Eyes - Twisting Northern Lights Suplex) *
4) Reno Scum (Adam Thornstowe & Luster the Legend) defeated Devastation Corporation (Max Smashmaster & Blaster McMassive, with Sydney Bakabella) (Luster the Legend pinned Max Smashmaster – Scum Stomp)
5) Chri$ Ca$h defeated Cedric Alexander (Pinfall – Snake Eyes - The Cash Flow, an inverted Death Valley Driver)
6) F.I.S.T. (Icarus & Gran Akuma) defeated R.M.O.H. (Silas Young & Beer City Bruiser) (Icarus over Beer City Bruiser by submission – Chikara Special)
7) “Limitless” Keith Lee defeated “Bad Dude” Tito Escondido (with Olivia) (Pinfall – Meteor, a swanton dive out of the ring)
8) Elimination Match: “Hot Stuff” Eddie Gilbert & Ox Baker defeated The Sandman & Jigsaw
Order of Elimination: (Eddie Gilbert pinned Jigsaw – Counter Cradle Hold) (Ox Baker pinned The Sandman – Heart Punch)
Match Highlights: A wild tag team Elimination Match headlined the card as The Sandman & Jigsaw took on “Hot Stuff” Eddie Gilbert & Ox Baker. Gilbert, the owner of ECW, informed Sandman and Jigsaw that a special referee was needed for the match and he called out Bill Alfonso. The crowd jeered as The Sandman and Jigsaw discussed their options as clearly the deck was being stacked against them. Alfonso showed his true colors early by delivering a slow-motion count as Jigsaw had Gilbert pinned after a superkick. Jigsaw then went for a backdrop, but Gilbert alertly executed a Counter Cradle Hold with Alfonso delivering a lightning fast three count for the pin. The crowd jeered loudly as Jigsaw was eliminated leaving The Sandman in what amounted to a one-on-three situation. The Sandman quickly went for his Singapore Cane striking both Gilbert and Baker with the weapon driving them out of the ring. He also took a swing at Alfonso but he managed to duck under and dive through the ropes.
Once the match officially resumed, The Sandman more than held his own battling both Gilbert and Baker. A Heinekenrana on Baker could have led to a pin but it only got a two as Alfonso delivered another slow count. Gilbert took advantage of that taking a tag from Baker while The Sandman chased after Alfonso. Gilbert wound up delivering a succession of piledrivers on The Sandman and that led to the victory. He tagged in Baker and the “Master of the Heart Punch” executed his specialty, the Heart Punch, resulting in the pin. Alfonso mockingly counted in slow motion knowing that it was unlikely that The Sandman would kick out. Gilbert afterward declared himself not just the owner but “The King” of ECW and said that nothing was going to stop the rise of Extreme CHIKARA Wrestling.
The semi-final match between “Limitless” Keith Lee and the “Bad Dude” Tito Escondido was a highly anticipated rematch from Birmingham, AL (Card #1176). That night it was Escondido hitting his finisher, Paint it Black, to pick up the victory. Lee was bound and determined to even the score and he dominated the initial action with such moves as the Keith Smash and the Germansault suplex. Olivia, the manager of Escondido, urged her man to get back in it and he did hitting Paint it Black but Lee kicked out at one! Olivia was beside herself as Escondido attempted to regroup after his finisher failed to keep Lee down. Lee came back with Ground Zero, a Death Valley Jackhammer, for a big near fall. The finish saw the big man toss Escondido to the outside and follow up with the Meteor, a swanton dive out of the ring. He then rolled him back in and dove on top of Escondido with all his 332.4-pounds to score the pin. Olivia argued with the referee but the decision stood as Lee taunted her by telling her to “Bask in my Glory” drawing cheers from the crowd.
In other action…
F.I.S.T. (Icarus & Gran Akuma) defeated R.M.O.H. (Silas Young & Beer City Bruiser) in a highly anticipated tag team showdown. This was a war from start to finish and by the end Beer City Bruiser was busted open and bleeding badly. That came courtesy of a blistering chair shot by Akuma on the outside. This could have gone either way as both teams picked up a few near falls. Young was impressive as a he survived both the Blu-Ray by Icarus and the Tenchi Crash by Akuma. The Bruiser also was impressive using his size advantage to pummel both members of F.I.S.T. throughout the bout. The finish of a grueling battle saw Akuma battling Young on the floor while Icarus trapped the bloody Beer City Bruiser in the Chikara Special. The Bruiser was unable to escape and conceded the match giving F.I.S.T. the big victory.
Cedric Alexander and Chri$ Ca$h had a great match that had the crowd going wild. Both are top contenders for the LOW Junior Heavyweight title and knew that a win here could possibly secure them a title shot down the line. Alexander was on fire early and nearly pinned Ca$h with Overtime followed by Kick 2 Kill Part II. Ca$h took advantage of the no disqualification environment of ECW and battered Alexander on the outside. He then hit his devastating finisher, The Cash Flow, which is an inverted Death Valley Driver, to score the pin. Ca$h wasn’t done there, though, and hit a post-match Cash Flow on top of a chair injuring Alexander. Team F.I.S.T. rushed the ring but were too late as Ca$h hit the move and scrambled to run out as they got in. Alexander needed paramedic assistance due to the attack.
Reno Scum (Adam Thornstowe & Luster the Legend) picked up a big victory over Devastation Corporation (Max Smashmaster & Blaster McMassive). Manager Sydney Bakabella was at ringside for Devastation Corporation boasting of a “quick victory” for his men but it was the other way around. Reno Scum isolated Smashmaster and quickly hit the Scum Stomp on him with Luster scoring the pin as Thornstowe prevented McMassive from getting in for the save. Bakabella was beside himself after the loss claiming a “fast count” and said that no one, especially Reno Scum, embarrasses him and Devastation Corporation.
“Rajin Cajun” Lash Leroux, who was awarded an ECW contract after beating the subsequently fired Flip Gordon, picked up a big win over Alex Colon but he paid a price for it afterward. Leroux was on point in this bout holding the advantage over Colon for a good stretch. Colon took it to the outside to take over and then hit the Shining Genki for a big near fall. He also kicked out after taking the Whiplash from Leroux. It was a late counter by Leroux that resulted in him executing a Twisting Northern Lights Suplex for a snake eyes pin. Colon lost his cool afterward viciously attacking Leroux and twice hitting Done Deal, his version of the Michinoku Driver, the second of which he delivered from the ring apron to the floor! Leroux had to be carried out on a stretcher because of the attack.
The rivalry between Dez Peloton (Jasper Tippins & Donald Kluger) and the T-D Machines (#1 & #2) continued in a brutal battle. The last time these two teams met a referee got fired by ECW owner Eddie Gilbert for calling a disqualification decision. Both Tippins and T-D Machine #2 were busted open during the Match, #2 bleeding through his mask of course. Dez Peloton showed great teamwork especially at the midway point hitting such moves as Pedal Power and Broken Arrow. Tippins also hit Climb The Summit on #2 using his helmet but he managed to kick out of the pin. There were several near falls on both sides and there was even a referee bump mixed in on a missed deathjump attack by #2 showing that referees may not be safe when these two teams battle it out. The finish saw #2 lay out Tippins setting up #1 hitting the Knee Drop off Ropes for the pin.
The opening contest saw The Hobo of LOW All-Star Wrestling take on DJ Hyde, a star of ECW and the owner of Combat Zone Wrestling. This one was booked on the fly by Eddie Gilbert who took exception to The Hobo even being at the venue. Hyde made quick work of him and scored the pin after hitting the devastating Shadow Driver. Hyde wasn’t finished there as he unceremoniously tossed The Hobo over the top rope onto a stack of chairs which he had set up earlier. The Hobo had to be helped to the back while Hyde looked on pleased at what he had done.
Injury Report: * Lash Leroux will be out of action indefinitely after being brutally assaulted by Alex Colon. He took a Done Deal off the ring apron to the floor and suffered what has been reported as a severe injury to his back. There were calls by local reporters for Colon to be suspended but ECW owner Eddie Gilbert laughed it off saying that Leroux knew what he was getting into when he accepted a contract with ECW.
* Cedric Alexander will miss a few weeks of action with a neck injury due to The Cash Flow delivered by Chri$ Ca$h on a chair. As with Lash Leroux, Eddie Gilbert showed no sympathy when speaking to local reporters after the incident saying that anything goes in ECW.
ECW Top 10 Rankings:
1) Eddie Gilbert 2) Jigsaw 3) Ox Baker 4) The Sandman 5) Keith Lee 6) Tito Escondido 7) DJ Hyde 8) Chri$ Ca$h 9) Arik Cannon 10) Juan Francisco de Coronado
* current champions not included in rankings

I've got to say the Hobo stuff was awesome with Gilbert, it was truly funny stuff. Too bad the Hobo lost, then seeing Gilbert & Baker win is top stuff. I have to say the road to WrestleCade this go around is a true blast and this is just the end of one year and then onto the next year, fun stuff...

Looks like Hot Stuff finally got himself a slice of revenge against Jigsaw and The Sandman... And in pretty brutal fashion as Baker practically drives Sandman's heart out through his back... Yikes!
Always enjoy seeing Chris Ca$h in action... And a very cool win for Reno Scum... Looks like eCw is firing on all cylinders, my friend... Awesome stuff!

I have to agree with Crimson Cross, Crue the opening bit with The Hobo was awesome.
You have made me a fan of his already.
All of your divisions rock my friend but I'm really starting to favor this one (as well as Lucha Underground).
Particularly how The Sandman is depicted here.
So glad Gilbert beat Quackenbush way back to give birth to this Outrageousness!

I have to say the road to WrestleCade this go around is a true blast and this is just the end of one year and then onto the next year, fun stuff... Thanks, Crimson. I had a lot of fun coming up with The Hobo stuff and the funny thing was I just pulled him randomly out of the LOW All-Star Wrestling pile to appear on this show. Once he was part of it I knew I had to have Eddie Gilbert have a go at him and reading it back I enjoyed it too as I could just picture "Hot Stuff" cutting that promo on him. "Hey brother, can you spare a dime"

Always enjoy Hobo and fun stuff with Gilbert for sure. Thanks, Troy, it looks like the Eddie Gilbert and The Hobo stuff got over pretty well. The Hobo may have to make a return appearance.

Indeed he did, Pariah, especially after the last show where The Sandman and Jigsaw came out on top in the singles matches over Ox Baker and Eddie Gilbert respectively. There's nothing like a good ol' Heart Punch from the Ox Chri$ Ca$h has become a favorite of mine, he has a fun card and I'm looking forward to see what he can accomplish in the coming year. Reno Scum could definitely make an impact in ECW.
