You mean there were plenty of Jessie McKay beach balls left, my wallet is a little lighter but it was worth it so I can add to my shrine. As for the show, what a huge win for Malia Hosaka over Mercedes Martinez in the main event. The women's division in the Heartland is really top notch though it's a shame that Kimber Lee still holds the gold. After what Sweeney said about me there is nothing more I want than to see Kimber Lee lose that title. Sorry for my bias kicking in but Sweeney always gets me riled up. Speaking of the ladies, is Sweeney in that division? Anyway, nice wins for the Doll House and Shazza McKenzie on this show. Neveah has always been tough to beat so that was a huge win for Shazza there.

The Indy Tag League continues to be a favorite of mine and it is always nice to see the updated leader board. Scorpio Sky & Joey Ryan make for an interesting team and that was a good win over Hallowicked & Frightmare. The show opens with the tune, "Awake and Alive" by Skillet playing overhead. DAYTONDAVE and WARLORD emerge through the curtain and greet the packed house of crazed fans.

Daytondave: Hey, fans! Welcome to another Saturday night of exciting CHIKARA professional wrestling action.

Warlord: This place is packed!

Daytondave: They don't see a lot of action here at Earlham College.

Warlord: Then let's give them a show!

Daytondave: You got it, Warlord. The Campeonatos de Parejas are defending the titles in tonight's Main Event! Do you think that ICARUS & GRAN AKUMA vs. GREEN ANT & FIRE ANT will entertain the Quakers here tonight?

Warlord: If anything can entertain these Quakers, it is CHIKARA.

Daytondave: You got that right! How about some trios action to kick things off? We're gonna have a lot of fun here tonight, fans- so relax, grab yourself- well- some lemonade... and enjoy the show!



CHIKARA TRIOS
TIM DONST*, MISTER ZERO, & MIKE QUACKENBUSH defeated ADAM PEARCE***, LARRY SWEENEY, & PINKIE SANCHEZ*
The trios tore up the gym tonight, with a happy ending which thrilled the crowd. Things started badly for Sweet 'N Kimber, as Pearce was trapped in enemy territory and beaten down by all three opponents. Pearce finally escaped to the gym floor, enabling Sweeney to hit the ring against Donst. Sweeney and Sanchez served up some nasty double-team moves to Donst, but Donst caught Sanchez off-guard and slammed Pinkie face-first onto the middle turnbuckle. Before Sanchez' partners could respond, Donst rolled up Sanchez and captured the three count.

After the decision, SEVENTEEN charged the ring and pulled Mike Quackenbush off the ring apron! Seventeen belted Quackenbush, but Quack fought back and dropped Seventeen with a running bulldog! Seventeen rolled out of the ring as Donst and Zero came to the side of Quackenbush to prevent further peril.


Warlord: Wow! The sneak attack by Seventeen was a failure- but why did he come out here?

Daytondave: Last time we saw Seventeen, he was challenging for the Grand Championship when the match was disrupted by Rosie Red. We don't know who was in the Rosie costume, but it seems that Quackenbush may be a suspect- at least in the mind of the Gekido. Congratulations to Team Quack for tonight's win- and surviving the post-match attack!



CHIKARA CONTRACT MATCH
SHYNRON pinned COLT CABANA*
Quick as a whistle, Shynron came out and took control against Cabana, nailing Colt with a running spear off the ropes. Shynron immediately went to the Spirit Bomb, and the stunned Cabana was pinned!


Daytondave: That was a quick win for Shynron- and a chance to become a title contender!

Warlord: Wait? What just happened?

Daytondave: I think Warlord blinked and he missed the whole thing!



2017 INDEPENDENT TAG TEAM LEAGUE
DREW GALLOWAY & JOHNNY GARGANO (1-2) vs. OI4K (0-2)
Two skilled teams hooked up in a competitive match. The Crist brothers took control early, using frequent tags and nearly scoring the win on Johnny after a double-team Irish Air Raid. But Gargano escaped to tag in Galloway, and Drew battled both brothers until Johnny caught a breather. Johnny returned to the ring with a flurry, and caught Dave out of nowhere with a Slingshot Spear for the win.


WINNERS: DREW GALLOWAY & JOHNNY GARGANO


Daytondave: Well done by both teams. That match could have gone either way.

Warlord: OI4K has had a tough time catching a break in this league.

Daytondave: One guy who ALWAYS seems to catch a break is ARCHIBALD PECK. He's still in the top 8, and has another opportunity to take a run at DELIRIOUS- but he needs a win tonight to move forward.



CROSSBONES* pinned ARCHIBALD PECK****
Crossbones dominated most of this contest, but Peck kept finding ways to escape the power of the man from Parts Unknown. Archie nearly caught a lucky pinfall after an unlikely slingshot forearm, but Crossbones powered out. Archie wound up for the Cranium Crescendo, but missed everything and crashed to the mat, stunned. Crossbones nailed Archie with the Friggin' Sweet Driver, but Archie draped a leg over the bottom rope to interrupt the count! The fans rallied behind Archie, but poor Archie had nothing left in the tank, and Crossbones finished him off with a seated powerbomb.


Daytondave: Crossbones was just too much for Archie tonight.

Warlord: I wonder how the weather is in Parts Unknown these days. As I think about it- that must be a heck of a training ground for wrestlers. I don't know how many of the great ones have eminated from Parts Unknown.

Daytondave: It's a mystery. All right, fans- the time has come for this week's edition of "Sweet Talk" with Larry Sweeney!

The scene shifts to the set of "Sweet Talk". KIMBER LEE proudly holds the Heartland Ladies' Championship belt and a microphone as LARRY SWEENEY struts around the stage, showing off his green boa. Sweeney carries a Jessie McKay beach ball, which he promptly stomps on until it bursts.

Kimber: Wrestling fans, say hello to the smartest, most handsome man in the indies. He knows all, he tells all, and he's better than you. Put your hands together for Larrrrrrrrrrry Sweeeeeeeney!!!

Sweeney: Hahaha! Welcome to Sweet Talk, jabronis. It's good to be me. No more Bundyheads, no more ridiculous Jessie McKay beach balls- just your weekly fount of information about everything in the Indy Nation!

Sweeney: Aw, grow up. Let's get started. First off, congratulations to your new Championship Wrestling From Hollywood Champion, PINKY! That dude- and I use the term loosely- won the CWFH Red Carpet Rumble this week to win the title! Pinky took out five men, including Joey Ryan for the win. BRIAN CAGE put out four guys, and looked good doing it. Who will step up to challenge for the Hollywood belt? This is gonna be fun to watch.

Sweeney: All kinds of craziness went down in ROH: New York this week. CHRISTOPHER DANIELS sure had a rough week- he lost a title match against ADAM COLE, then took a beating from his own stablemates BJ WHITMER & PUNISHMENT MARTINEZ. That was a bad night- and poor Daniels can't even boast about a luscious head of hair like mine.

Sweeney: Whatever. Martinez was wreaking havoc everywhere, it seemed. The Punishment also launched a sneak attack against SONNY KISS this week, and that idiot Kiss responded by challenging Martinez to a match. Nice knowin' ya, Sonny Boy.

Sweeney: Coming soon, TODD JOHNSTON will host the first-ever King Of The Indies Style Battle! Seems like everybody who is anybody is signing up for this series of eight-man tournaments. 2017 INDEPENDENT TAG TEAM LEAGUE
THE BRAVADO BROTHERS (2-0) vs. THE TRIBE (2-0)
It was all about the Bravados in this match! Harlem and Lancelot trapped the Warrior in their corner for the first several minutes of the match, and brutalized the big man with a series of double-teams. Warrior finally escaped to tag in Lion, but it was more of the same as the Brothers dropped Lion with the Gentleman's Agreement. Frustrated by the repeated double-teams, Lion pitched Harlem out of the ring, and Warrior lashed Harlem with his leather strap! The referee called for the disqualification, as the Bravados ran for cover.


WINNERS (via disqualification): THE BRAVADO BROTHERS


Warlord: Look at those skinny boys run! I never knew a fancy boy could run that fast!

Daytondave: The Bravados were not interested in sticking around for a lashing from the Navajo Warrior- but they did pick up the victory here tonight. They are now 3-0 for 2017!



TRISH STRATUS** (w/JIMMY HART) pinned LUFISTO*
With a spot as a title contender on the line, Lufisto came hard at Trish and pummeled her from the start of the contest. Lufisto gave Trish the beating of a lifetime and put her down with a Burning Hammer for the cover. But as the referee made the three count, Jimmy Hart reached in from outside the ring and walloped Lufisto with the megaphone! Both ladies were nearly out cold, but with Hart's encouragement, Trish rolled on top of Lufisto and the referee counted three.


Daytondave: Once again, Jimmy Hart makes his presence felt in the ladies' division. His crown jewel, Trish, is now back in the running for a shot at the Ladies' title.

Warlord: A miscarriage of justice! Someone needs to put that guy in his place. Maybe the Ladies' Division needs a better referee.

Daytondave: I know just the man for the job. I'll make a phone call and we'll get our man here next week. Now, fans- it's time for the Main Event!



MAIN EVENT: CHIKARA CAMPEONATOS DE PAREJAS
THE COLONY (GREEN ANT & FIRE ANT) defeated TEAM F.I.S.T. (ICARUS & GRAN AKUMA*)
Lightning strikes the Campeonatos! The Ants came out fast and controlled the pace of the match, keeping the action at a blurring pace. Both Icarus and Akuma struggled to keep their bearings, and Fire Ant came out of nowhere to obliterate Akuma with a perfect cross body block for the pin!


THE COLONY CAPTURES THE CAMPEONATOS DE PAREJAS CHAMPIONSHIP


Daytondave: How about that! Ladies and gentlemen, new Campeonatos have been crowned here tonight! Congratulations to Green Ant & Fire Ant for winning the coveted tag team titles! These two Ants worked together flawlessly, and they took down the former Campeonatos in style. What an awesome Main Event! All right, fans- we're done here. Thanks for checking us out tonight! Congrats to The Colony on beating Team F.I.S.T. to win the Campeonatos de Parejas and it looked like a dominant win at that. Trish Stratus over Lufisto in the semi-final was killer and it looks like Trish is now in line for a shot at the title held by Kimber Lee. I see the ladies division may be getting a new referee and I will submit my name for the job Congrats to Shynron on winning his CHIKARA contract and to the Tag League winners and with that this Aftershow is done. The campus of DePauw University is electric as the show opens with the tune, "Awake and Alive" by Skillet. DAYTONDAVE and WARLORD greet the crowd with high-fives as they proceed down the aisle to the announcers' table.

Daytondave: Hey, fans! Welcome to our special Wednesday night CHIKARA showcase!

Warlord: Nothing better than a night of wrestling in small-town USA- right here in Greencastle Indiana!

(Cheers)

Daytondave: And another cheap pop for the Warlord.

Warlord: Any pop is a good pop, dude.

Daytondave: Perhaps, but tonight we plan to earn our pops legit, with four great matches in store for you. MIKE QUACKENBUSH is going to throw hands with SEVENTEEN tonight! We're gonna kick things off with Ladies' action, and our new Ladies' Division referee is ready to roll. Say hello to BIG JIM, THE ENFORCER and get ready for all of tonight's action. It's gonna be a wild ride tonight, fans- so relax, grab yourself a cold one, and enjoy the show!

BIG JIM THE ENFORCER

MADISON EAGLES**** pinned BARBI HAYDEN********
In a marathon match, Barbi and Madison went all out in pursuit of victory. The two ladies used everything in their arsenal, and each survived multiple finishers from her foe. Both competitors were beyond exhaustion when Madison finally connected with a running big boot to gain the victory.


Daytondave: That was unbelievable. Those two were relentless!

Warlord: I think the Enforcer blew up quicker than the girls did.

Daytondave: Maybe so, but Big Jim did an honest and fair job of calling that match.

Warlord: That's because both those ladies are way to young for the big guy. He's more interested in the Olivia Newton-John era.

Daytondave: No comment.



WILL FERRARA******** pinned ETHAN PAGE*****
Another long and intense struggle between two determined competitors. Ferrara went on the attack early, connecting with several slick moves, but Page withstood the damage. Page responded with a series of power moves, scoring with a pair of vicious head shots, but Ferrara kicked out of both pin attempts. Page went for the kill and delivered his Spinning Dwayne finisher, but Ferrara miraculously kicked out again! Page pitched Ferrara to the gym floor and administered a horrific beating. Still, Ferrara battled on, coming off hte ropes and nailing Page with a sunset flip powerbomb! Both men were down and the crowd was on its feet as Ferrara finally made it to his feet first, and digging deep, Ferrara connected with a Headshot of his own and covered Page for the three count!


Daytondave: Another epic battle between two hungry young superstars!

Warlord: Once there was Waterloo... Yorktown... Iwo Jima... Ferrara versus Page.

Daytondave: And the Independent Tag Team League!



2017 INDEPENDENT TAG TEAM LEAGUE
PIECES OF HATE (JIGSAW & SHARD) (1-1) vs. BAD INFLUENCE (CHRISTOPHER DANIELS & KAZARIAN) (1-1)
The tag match was all about the Shard! Shard took control on Kazarian from the opening bell, and quickly dismantled him with a Shard Super Kick.


WINNERS: PIECES OF HATE


Daytondave: A dominant win for the Pieces of Hate! This faction called Gekido seems to always find its way to the center of controversy- and in tonight's final contest, we'll see SEVENTEEN take on the man he believes to have interfered in his title match, MIKE QUACKENBUSH.

Warlord: It wasn't Quackenbush! I saw the whole thing! It was ROSIE RED!



SPECIAL CHALLENGE MATCH
MIKE QUACKENBUSH** defeated SEVENTEEN***** by submission
The latest battle in the war between Quackenbush and Gekido took a strange turn. Quack and Seventeen were locked up in an intense struggle, with both men twisting each other into countless submission holds. The fans erupted in surprise with the appearance of:

LEROY THE TIGER

Leroy led the fans in a chorus of cheers, then without warning, Leroy pulled Seventeen out of the ring! Leroy attempted to run Seventeen into the ring post, but Seventeen escaped. Heartland Security immediately sprinted to the scene and pulled Leroy back to the locker room.

Warlord: Wait- what?

Daytondave: Another mascot attack! And we know that it wasn't Quackenbush in the mascot costume this time.

Warlord: Rosie Red is disguised as the DePauw Tiger? How did she do that?


The match continued on, and Quackenbush took advantage of the distraction to plaster Seventeen with a Palm Strike. Seventeen went down, and Quackenbush wrapped Seventeen into the Chikara Special to force the submission.


Daytondave: Congratulations to Mike Quackenbush for another dramatic victory over a hated rival. The interference of the Tiger was not successful, but it created enough of a distraction for Quackenbush to steal the victory. But who is the man- or the woman- behind the mask?

A commotion arises at the top of the ramp as BIG JIM THE ENFORCER bursts through the curtain. Big Jim has the Tiger over his shoulder in a fireman's carry. Jim dumps the Tiger into the center of the ring and rips off the mask to reveal

Daytondave: What the-? Tim Donst is the man who has been interfering in the Gekido matches! There will be hell to pay for this, without a doubt. Great work by Big Jim and the Heartland Security Team to get to the bottom of the mystery of the mascot! All right, fans- we're done here. Thanks for checking us out! CHIKARA will be back on Saturday night with our regular weekend of the best wrestling action on the planet- including a title match in the Heartland Ladies' Division when MERCEDES MARTINEZ finally gets her rematch against KIMBER LEE. I know it was a tough decision for the officials at the Heartland but I guess I understand them picking Big Jim as the referee for the ladies division. I am ready on standby if help is needed At any rate I am pumped to see Mercedes Martinez get her shot at Kimber Lee. I can't see any way that Kimber survives that except for - wait for it - Sweeney Here's hoping that Mercedes has some backup of her own. The reveal of Tim Donst as being under the Tiger hood was pretty funny stuff. There is a lot of history between Donst and Mike Quackenbush so it was interesting to see him helping out Quack against Gekido. Congrats to Pieces of Hate on their Tag League win and to Madison Eagles and Barbi Hayden for putting on a classic. The fans are clapping in rhythm throughout the fieldhouse as the tune, "Right Now" by Van Halen plays overhead. DAYTONDAVE and WARLORD make their way down to the announcers' table, greeting the fans along the aisle as they pass by.

Daytondave: Hey, fans! Welcome to CHIKARA! Another Saturday night in the heart of America, and another evening of the best professional wrestling action on the independent scene. It's the King Of The Indies, baby!

Warlord: Right here on the campus of Wabash College!

Daytondave: You got it, folks. Tonight is going to rock the fieldhouse from start to finish- including a hot Main Event for the Heartland Ladies' Championship! KIMBER LEE has a tough task ahead when she defends her title against MERCEDES MARTINEZ. And we're gonna kick things off with some CHIKARA Trios action. We have a great show tonight- so relax, grab yourself a cold one, and enjoy the show!



CHIKARA TRIOS
3.OLE (SHANE MATTHEWS***, EL GENERICO**, & SCOTT PARKER*) defeated GEKIDO (DEVIANT***, COMBATANT**, & ASSAILANT***)
A wild opening trios match saw these six gladiators battle for over twenty minutes! Action took place all over the fieldhouse, and Big Magic electrified the crowd with a suicide dive that took out all six men! In the ensuing chaos, it was Generico who seized the moment and obliterated combatANT with the BRAINBUSTAAAHHH!!!


Warlord: Katie bar the door- it's six-man mayhem!

Daytondave: An incredible trios bout! 3.OLE proved why they are former champions, and no doubt they are hungry for another shot at the titles.



CHERRY BOMB* pinned TRISH STRATUS**** (w/JIMMY HART)
Hart's efforts to interfere in tonight's match were fruitless. Despite a shot from Jimmy's megaphone, Cherry was able to come back from the blow and defeat Trish with the Death From Below.


Daytondave: What a victory for Cherry Bomb!

Warlord: It's not often that one of Jimmy's ladies tastes the agony of defeat. But that is the essence of the human drama of athletic competition.



HALLOWICKED & FRIGHTMARE** defeated COLIN DELANEY & CREECH***
It was a dramatic turn of fortune for Hallowicked & Frightmare. Frightmare was in big trouble for much of this match, nearly suffering defeat after a lungblower from Delaney. But once Frightmare escaped for a desperation tag, Hallowicked took over and put a beating on Creech. When Frightmare had caught his breath, he returned to the ring and teamed with Hallowicked for a Headless Horseman on Creech to earn his team the win.


Daytondave: Another great display of tag team excellence from Hallowicked & Frightmare. They earned a point with that win, putting them one step closer to challenging the Campeonatos!

Warlord: Grandmasters at the game of human chess, those two.



CROSSBONES pinned JOCK SAMSON***
In a battle of top 8 contenders, Crossbones was in control from the start. Samson tried to take the fight to the floor, but Crossbones stood his ground until the referee corraled the match back into the ring. Out of nowhere, Crossbones drilled Samson with an enzuigiri for a clean pinfall victory!


Daytondave: That was impressive. Crossbones is a big man to execute an agile move like that.

Warlord: Reminds me of my younger days growing up in Minnesota.

Daytondave: You could get up like that?

Warlord: Naw. But I used to watch GREG GAGNE and CURT HENNIG. Those guys could fly!

Daytondave facepalms.

Daytondave: On that note, let's head over to "Sweet Talk" for LARRY SWEENEY'S viewpoint on independent wrestling.

The scene shifts to "Sweet Talk", where Larry Sweeney is all smiles. He is proudly adorned in his green boa and his trademark shades, grinning from ear to ear as he struts across the stage. He is accompanied by KIMBER LEE, who wears the Heartland Ladies' Championship belt and waves derisively to the fans.

Kimber: Wrestling fans, say hello to the smartest, most handsome man in the indies. He knows all, he tells all, and he's better than you. Let's have a warm Tiger welcome for Larrrrry Sweeeeennneeeeeeyyy!

Sweeney: Hahaha! It's all about me, losers! Now sit back, shut your mouths, and you might just learn something about the independent wrestling scene. Things were a little quiet this week, but ROH: New York put on a good show. LIMITLESS had a serious throwdown against WAR MACHINE, but Lee and Taylor came out on top. MICHAEL ELGIN made it two-for-two for the superheavyweights by taking down KENNY OMEGA, and THE BRISCOE BROTHERS picked up the win over KENNY KING & RHETT TITUS. Of course you know, Titus and King have taken to calling themselves "THE REBELLION" these days. The Rebellion took a surprising turn when they acquired a new ally- the former King Of The Indies, MOOSE! Personally, I think Moose might want to set his sights higher, but the man is frustrated after losing his title and maybe he ain't thinking straight.

Sweeney: In case you were wondering about tonight's new music- Heartland has another pay-per-view coming up on May 13! Heartland Havoc LXXXI: Right Now will be going down at the UIC Pavilion in Chicago. ADAM COLE, the reigning King Of The Indies, will be heading to Chicago to defend his crown against JAY LETHAL in the Main Event! The CHIKARA Grand Championship will also be on the line. DELIRIOUS is still the man, and by next week we'll know who will arise as the #1 Contender to challenge for the belt at Right Now. Of course, we'll have more announcements as the pay-per-view comes closer, but it already sounds like a dynamite show.

Sweeney: While we have a moment, people- let me compliment DAYTONDAVE on his selection of theme music. Van Halen will rock the house in Chicago- and that's way better than the Canadian Crap that CRUEFAN plays on his stupid Aftershow. Rush? Seriously? What's coming next? BURTON CUMMINGS? TRIUMPH? 2017 INDEPENDENT TAG TEAM LEAGUE
THE BATIRI (KODAMA & OBARIYON) (1-1) vs. CATCH POINT (TRACY WILLIAMS & FRED YEHI (0-2)
Most of this match saw Kodama in big trouble against the cimbined forces of Catch Point, but the contest changed when Kodama made the desperation tag to Obariyon. Obariyon took over against Williams, isolating Tracy and punishing him on the Fieldhouse Floor. Yehi was unable to save his partner as Obariyon delivered the finishing blow with a Flying DDT.

JIMMY RAVE defeated ULTRAMANTIS BLACK***** by countout
It was no holds barred in this battle of top contenders! Rave was the faster man, and took advantage of his quickness by stunning Ultramantis with a running spear off the ropes. Ultramantis tried to take the match out to the Fieldhouse floor, but Rave drilled Ultramantis with an STO on the ring apron. Ultramantis was rocked by the impact, and Rave quickly went for the Doppler Effect on the floor. Ultramantis was unable to recover before the referee counted ten.


Daytondave: What a match! Rave worked hard to earn that victory.

Warlord: The battle of the titans!

Daytondave: Maybe not THAT big a match- but Rave will move on to meet CROSSBONES to determine the number one contender to the Grand Championship! Now, fans- BIG JIM THE ENFORCER is in the ring and we are ready for tonight's Main Event!



MAIN EVENT: HEARTLAND LADIES' CHAMPIONSHIP
KIMBER LEE (c) vs. MERCEDES MARTINEZ

Chaos prevailed in this match before the opening bell! As Kimber was making her entrance accompanied by LARRY SWEENEY, a flood of beach balls exploded from the rafters! JESSIE MCKAY beach balls filled the aisles, causing Sweeney to stumble and stagger before falling to the floor under the deluge. Sweeney disappeared under the mass of beach balls, only to be rescued by none other than KING KONG BUNDY! Bundy hoisted Sweeney over his shoulder and hauled Sweeney out of the ring area! Kimber protested to the referee, but Big Jim called for the bell and the match began!

Daytondave: Looks like Bundy and Jessie have taken care of the Sweeney problem!

Warlord: That's my guy!

Once the match started, Mercedes dominated the champion. After dropping Kimber with a vicious gutbuster, Mercedes laid into the champion with one brutal chop after another until Kimber was breathless against the turnbuckle. Mercedes delivered the Fisherman Buster, and it looked like a new champion was about to be crowned. But PINKIE SANCHEZ dashed to the ring and pulled Mercedes out to the fieldhouse floor! Mercedes caught Pinkie with a chop to the chest that echoed through the room, but Pinkie responded with a spinning back kick which connected solidly with the lower abdomen of Mercedes. Big Jim immediately called for the bell and awarded the match to Mercedes via disqualification.


WINNER (via disqualification): MERCEDES MARTINEZ

KIMBER LEE RETAINS THE HEARTLAND LADIES CHAMPIONSHIP


Daytondave: It never fails with that Sweet 'N Kimber bunch. It sure looked good for Mercedes when Larry Sweeney got hauled away from ringside, but Pinkie Sanchez was on hand with plan B and Kimber saved her title. It's a shame for Mercedes, after wrestling such a great match- but Mercedes will get another rematch and this time we will be sure that it is a fair fight. All right, fans- we're done here. CHIKARA will be back next Saturday night with more terrific action, including a #1 Contenders' Match for the CHIKARA Grand Championship when JIMMY RAVE squares off against CROSSBONES. Obviously Larry Sweeney has never listened to the Aftershow since Rush only appears occasionally. I guess Larry never heard Kiss, Jimi Hendrix, The Doors and The Cult, among others, rocking my Aftershow. What else would you expect from Sweeney, a man who can't even handle a Jessie McKay beach ball. As for Kimber Lee what else is new. Sweeney gets removed by King Kong Bundy so naturally Pinkie Sanchez sticks his nose in and costs Mercedes Martinez the title. How about a No DQ rematch for Mercedes with Sweeney and Pinkie handcuffed to Bundy?

At any rate the rest of the rest of the show was great and I really liked the victories by 3.Ole, Crossbones and Cherry Bomb. Trish Stratus has been on a roll so Cherry Bomb beating her was huge. The show opens with the tune, "Right Now" by Van Halen playing overhead. DAYTONDAVE and WARLORD greet the cheering fans with waves and fist bumps as they make their way to ringside.

Daytondave: Hey, fans! Welcome to another Saturday night of CHIKARA professional wrestling- the best action the Indies have to offer!

Warlord: Right here at the home of the Fighting Illini!

Daytondave: Another Saturday night, and another cheap pop for the Warlord. But the cheers will be legit and there will be plenty of them here tonight. Heartland Havoc LXXXI: Right Now is just one week away, and there is plenty to be decided before the big pay-per-view!

Warlord: Right Now is next week?

Daytondave: That's right!

Warlord: How come Right Now isn't right now?

Daytondave: Because it's next week! I know we're all excited for the big event in Chicago.

Warlord: But if it's next week, then it's not Right Now.

Daytondave: Of course it is- never mind. We've got a CHIKARA Grand Championship match at the pay-per-view, and tonight we will determine the Number One Contender in our Main Event when JIMMY RAVE squares off against CROSSBONES. We're gonna rock Champaign tonight, fans- so relax, grab yourself a cold one, and enjoy the show!



CHIKARA CONTRACT MATCH
ASHLEY REMINGTON pinned VIN GERARD*
The popular, "Smooth Sailin'" Remington had the fans on their feet as he quickly dispatched Gerard with a Smooth German Suplex.


Daytondave: Very nice win for Remington- and another opportunity to become a contender for the Grand Championship!

Warlord: Almost as smooth as my pal ONE MAN GANG.

Daytondave: That Gang... he is a smooth dude! We haven't seen him around here since he disappeared with PAIGE!

Warlord: Some secrets are best left untold, my friend.

Daytondave: Right.


THE KILLER DEATH MACHINES (JESSICKA HAVOK & NEVAEH) defeated THE IRRESISTABLE FORCE (VANESSA KRAVEN* & MELANIE CRUISE*****)
The Death Machines proved why they are former Ladies' Tag Team Champions with a superb effort against the Force. Nevaeh stood her ground against the bigger oppoenents, and caught Vanessa with a guillotine choke early in the match which nearly put Vanessa's lights out. Jessicka tagged in and literally wreaked havoc on her foes, annihilating Vanessa with a big boot and peppering Melanie with vicious kicks. Jessicka dropped Melanie with the Havokiller, nearly scoring the pin until Vanessa interrupted the count. All four ladies hit the ring, and a spectacular brawl broke out! Jimmy Hart jumped to the ring apron and took a swing at Jessicka with the megaphone, but Hart misfired and nailed Melanie! In the middle of the chaos, Nevaeh caught the stunned Melanie with a Backpack Stunner and Big Jim counted the pin.


Daytondave: That was one awesome match! Jessicka Havok is one of the few ladies around who can go toe-to-toe with the Force, and Nevaeh more than held her own against the odds.

Warlord: A big win for the little lady!



GREG EXCELLENT** pinned ARCHIBALD PECK****
Mssrs. Peck and Excellent locked horns in an entertaining bout, which was dominated by Excellent. Every time that Peck established some momentum, Excellent took the match to the arena floor, beating up Peck and frustrating Archie to the brink of anger. Peck went to the top turnbuckle, but missed badly with the Cranium Crescendo. Excellent was able to quickly convert the opportunity to win the match with the Tiger Driver.

After the bout, Excellent was joined in the ring for a celebration by KING KONG BUNDY! Bundy picked up Archie's drum major hat and placed it on Excellent's head, and the two men marched around the ring in jubilation. Archie looked sad, so Bundy returned the hat to Archie and gave Archie a massive bearhug. Bundy and Excellent left the ring together to the cheers of the crowd.


Daytondave: Looks like WIDE LOAD has a new honorary member!

Warlord: I always liked that guy. Anybody who lists his home as "Roscoe's Chicken 'n Waffles" is a good man in my book.



THE DARK MENACE FORCES (ROCKY REYNOLDS* & BENETT COLE**) defeated LOS ICE CREAMS (ICE CREAM JR. & EL HIJO DEL ICE CREAM*)
It took some time for Reynolds and Cole to get it going, as the Ice Creams controlled the pace of the match with their unpredictable antics. But when Cole pitched Junior out of the ring, the action turned in favor of the Forces. Junior was on dream street when Reynolds went to the air and delivered a Swanton Bomb for the pin.


Warlord: Awww... I love Ice Cream! Those poor guys got beat.

Daytondave: A sad day for the children of America. Okay, fans- it's time now for this week's edition of "Sweet Talk"!

The scene shifts to the set of "Sweet Talk", where LARRY SWEENEY stands with a smirk on his face. He is accompanied by KIMBER LEE, who proudly holds the Heartland Ladies' Championship belt over her shoulder.

Kimber: Ladies and gentlemen, it is my privilege to present to you, the world's leading expert on independent wrestling. He's smart, he's handsome, he's charming, and he's better than you. Give it up for Larrryyy Sweeeeneeeyyyy!

Sweeney: How do you like me now, Indy Nation? I am the voice of wisdom in the chaotic world of the indies. And this week has seen plenty of chaos! Ring of Honor: New York has been as chaotic as anyplace! The King Of The Indies himself, ADAM COLE, got pinned twice this week! Both MARTY SCURLL and QT MARSHALL put the champ down for the three count- and that can't be good for the King. Cole has just one week before his title defense against JAY LETHAL right here in the Heartland!

Sweeney: Everything else in ROH:NY was out of control this week. There were so many countouts and disqualifications that COMMISSIONER JJ DILLON has instructed the superstars to get their poop in a group and compare for FACTION WARS! You never know what is going to happen next with the STEELERFAN holding the book.

Sweeney: The Women of Honor also threw down this week in Baltimore. NICOLE MATTHEWS, THUNDERKITTY, and KELLY KLEIN picked up impressive wins, but the shocker of the night was an unexpected attack perpetrated by SU YUNG against KAY LEE RAY. MARTI BELLE came on to make the save, and the battle lines are being drawn among the ladies!

Sweeney: But that's not all, fans. Down at ATLANTA WRESTLING ENTERTAINMENT, the feud between Marti and Su took a bizarre turn when Su showed up in a bridal gown and covered in blood! That was some freaky stuff, fans, but Su used the psychological edge to pick up a win over Marti.

Sweeney: Of course you know, if you're gonna talk about AWE, you gotta talk about Georgia Wrestling Champion CEDRIC ALEXANDER. Cedric established himself as the top dog when he put away CALEB KONLEY and forced Conley to leave Atlanta! That is the way you put yourself on the map around Indy Nation. I know Daytondave has been lobbying to get Alexander a shot at the King Of The Indies, and I think the man has earned the opportunity.

Sweeney: Speaking of the top dogs in the indies, ZACH SABRE, JR. remains the EVOLVE Heavyweight Champion. He put down TIMOTHY THATCHER this week, and it looks like nobody can touch this guy. Strong work, my man!

Daytondave: Next week at the Right Now pay-per-view, KIMBER LEE will be defending the Heartland Ladies' Championship against MERCEDES MARTINEZ.

Sweeney: Sounds like a great match.

Daytondave: It's a handcuff match. You will be handcuffed to KING KONG BUNDY to prevent you from interfering.

Sweeney: What?!?

Daytondave: Let's get back to action!



CHEERLEADER MELISSA pinned MARTI BELLE**
In a rematch from last week's encounter in Atlanta, Marti controlled the match for several minutes, but she could not keep Melissa down. At the first opportunity, Melissa pitched Marti out of the ring and roughed up Marti on the arena floor. Immediately after returning to the ring, Melissa picked up her battered foe and dropped Marti with the Kudoh Driver for the victory.


Daytondave: Melissa looks like she never lost a beat.

Warlord: She is one dominant athlete in the ring. A little too serious sometimes, but a great wrestler.

Daytondave: Without a doubt, she is an intense young lady.

Warlord: How about the look on Sweeney's face when you announced the Handcuff Match?

Daytondave: Priceless! But the important thing is, the Ladies' title match needs to take place without any shenanigans. Next up- another match in the Tag Team League!



2017 INDEPENDENT TAG TEAM LEAGUE
THE OSIRIAN PORTAL (0-2) vs. THE THROWBACKS (1-1)
Both teams were at full speed from the opening bell! Amasis started things off with a sensational 450 Splash which nearly knocked out Hatfield, but Dunkerton hit the ring and clobbered Amasis with the Grandslam Dunk! Amasis was in trouble, but he managed to avoid a double-team attempt by the Throwbacks and tag out to Ophidian. Ophidian trapped Sugar D in the Death Grip, and forced Sugar to tap out!

WINNERS: THE OSIRIAN PORTAL

Daytondave: Fast-paced tag team action!

Warlord: The best that the indies have to offer!

Daytondave: And a big victory for the Portal to get them into the win column. Block 4 of the Tag Team League is now in the books, so let's take a look at the up-to-the-minute standings!

Warlord: Two unbeatens left in the league... and then there's CATCH POINT and OI4K...

Daytondave: Every team in this league has been competitive- and we are just getting started! Now, fans- we take you to tonight's Main Event.

JIMMY RAVE* pinned CROSSBONES*****
The Contenders' match was a terrific struggle. Crossbones used his power to punish Rave early in the bout, but Rave survived the Friggin' Sweet Driver and battled back. As the match wore on, Rave gained momentum and Crossbones appeared to tire. Rave nailed Crossbones with a running spear to rattle the big man, and Jimmy delivered the Doppler Effect to score the pin.


Daytondave: Congratulations to Jimmy Rave- he is your new #1 contender to the CHIKARA Grand Championship! Rave will move on to next week's pay-per-view to face DELIRIOUS for the title! Damn straight I'm rocking the Aftershow and a big congrats to Jimmy Rave on earning the title shot against Delirious. Rave might just have what it takes to end the death grip that Delirious has had on the Chikara Grand Championship. As usual I love seeing the King of the Indies Tag League leader board and I look forward to those bouts every time. Congrats to the Osirian Portal on their win over The Throwbacks in tournament action. Cheerleader Melissa looked strong in her win over Marti Belle as did Havok & Nevaeh in their win over Kraven & Cruise. Ashley Remington earning a Chikara contract, I don't know if that is a good thing or a bad thing? One good thing was the hilarious antics of my main man King Kong Bundy and Greg Excellent.

I have saved the best for last, however, and that is Larry Sweeney being handcuffed to Bundy when Mercedes Martinez gets her title rematch with Kimber Lee at Right Now. I can't wait to see what happens. I will end this Aftershow with a classic from another rocker too cool for Sweeney, Michael Monroe with Dead, Jail or Rock n' Roll...
