James L. Knight Center, Miami, Florida The show opens with the tune, "The Final Countdown" by Europe playing overhead. EPICDAVE makes his way down to ringside, greeting the cheering fans along the rampway. EpicDave is decked out in a white linen suit with a red pastel T-shirt. He enters the ring and waves to the crowd.EpicDave: Hey, fans! Welcome to
Heartland Havoc 100: Turn Of The Century! It is great to be here in Miami to bring you all the excitement from the
National Wrestling Alliance! What a proud occasion to celebrate! As you know, fans- we have four SuperCards each year, and in between times, we have monthly Heartland Havoc pay-per-views. And tonight, we celebrate number 100!
The fans cheer.EpicDave: The first-ever Heartland Havoc pay-per-view was held in Columbus, Ohio, in October of 2006. Here to help us commemorate that night is one of the winners from the Main Event of
Heartland Havoc I. Please welcome a Florida legend in his own right,
TOMMY 'WILDFIRE' RICH!The fans come to their feet as Wildfire joins EpicDave in the ring. Wildfire: Thanks, EpicDave. What's with the goofy get-up? You look like you just stepped off the set of Miami Vice!
EpicDave: It was a gift from Don Johnson. He's a huge fan. But enough about that- tell me your memories of Heartland Havoc I.
Wildfire: I can still remember that night in Columbus with my tag team partner,
FLYIN' BRIAN PILLMAN. They called us
THE WILD BUNCH. And sure enough, we beat
JAKE ROBERTS & BIG JOHN STUDD to win the
NWA Heartland Tag Team Championship. What an awesome memory! Congratulations on 100 pay-per-views.
EpicDave: Thanks, Tommy! I hope you will stick around tonight and do some color commentary. We have a huge show lined up! Four title matches, and a few grudges to be settled along the way- and a championship Main Event as
RIC FLAIR is here in Miami to defend the
NWA World Heavyweight Championship against
RAY 'CRIPPLER' STEVENS. It's gonna be non-stop action here tonight, fans- so relax, grab yourself a cold one, and enjoy the show!
Grudge Match: No DisqualificationKING KONG BUNDY (w/ RON GARVIN) vs. NIKITA KOLOFF (w/ IVAN KOLOFF)Bundy and Nikita were pulling no punches in their grudge match. Nikita controlled most of the action, but Bundy proved to be a tough man to bring down. Bundy hit the Atlantic City Avalanche on Nikita, but Ivan pulled Nikita out of the ring to prevent the cover. Garvin came over to confront Ivan, but Ivan slugged Garvin with the steel chain and Garvin went down. Nikita nailed Bundy with a backbreaker on the arena floor which took the starch out of the big man. The referee finally corraled the action back into the ring, where Nikita drilled Bundy with a Russian Hammer and put him down for the three count.
WINNER: NIKITA KOLOFFEpicDave: The Koloffs took care of business tonight! They laid out Ron Garvin and finished off Nikita for a clean victory.
Wildfire: Nikita sure packs a wallop! I have been on the wrong end of a few of his punches and it ain't fun.
EpicDave: I can only imagine. All right, fans- it's time for our first championship match of the night!
Pro Wrestling Mid-America Heavyweight Championship: Best Two out of Three FallsNICK BOCKWINKEL © vs. VADERFirst Fall: Vader came out on the attack, pounding Bockwinkel into the corner and choking him down. Bockwinkel battled back, manuvering Vader into a punishing abdominal stretch. Vader struggled to get free, and was clearly weakened by the hold. Vader dumped Bockwinkel with a Samoan Drop, and decided to go for broke. Vader went to the top turnbuckle for a Moonsault, but Bockwinkel caught him on the way up and slammed Vader to the canvas! Vader was stunned, and Bockwinkel quickly pulled him up for a piledriver and covered Vader for the pin.
Second Fall: Bockwinkel slowed the pace in the second fall, taking Vader down and working the legs with the Boston Crab and the Figure-Four Leglock. Vader was in trouble, but he dug deep and powered his way to the bottom rope to force the break. Vader rallied and exploded on Bockwinkel with a flurry of power moves, capping the rally with a pair of Vader Bombs to put Bockwinkel down for the three count!
Third Fall: Both men were badly fatigued heading into the final fall. Bockwinkel went back to work on the legs of Vader, taking the big man off his feet. Vader pitched Bockwinkel out of the ring, but Bockwinkel beat him to the punch and smacked Vader's head off the steel ring post. Vader's running lights were dimmed, and when action returned to the ring, Bockwinkel locked in the Bockwinkel Sleeper and it was lights out for Vader!
WINNER AND STILL PWMA HEAVYWEIGHT CHAMPION: NICK BOCKWINKELEpicDave: What a match! Both guys pushed it to the absolute limit- but when the chips were down, Bockwinkel came through with the perfect strategy to finish off Vader and leave Miami with his title intact!
Wildfire: You're right, EpicDave- that was a helluva match! They left it all in the ring.
EpicDave: The longer that match went on- the more it favored Bockwinkel. He is one of the best conditioned athletes in the sport and he is a master ring general. Congratulations to your reigning
PWMA Heavyweight Champion!South Beach Street Fight: No DisqualificationROAD WARRIOR ANIMAL vs. TULLY BLANCHARDInsanity reigned supreme in this match! Animal manhandled Tully to open the bout, clobbering Blanchard with a massive flying shoulder tackle off the ropes. Tully rolled out of the ring, and the action picked up! Tully raked the eyes of Animal and shoved Animal through the back door of the arena and onto the beach! The two men battled onto a lifeguard stand, and Animal picked up Tully and powerbombed him down to the ground!
Wildfire: Holy biscuits! That musta been a 12 foot drop!
Blanchard hit hard on the ground of the beach, but was able to pick himself up as Animal climbed down from the lifeguard stand. Blanchard and Animal threw hands, battling along the beach until they happened into a Polynesian luau. Blanchard went to the bonfire and pulled out a burning log, trying to hit Animal. Blanchard hit Animal across the chest with the log, but Animal absorbed the blow and came back fighting! Animal lifted Blanchard off his feet and drove Blanchard through the tiki bar! Shards of glass flew everywhere, and this time Tully didn't get up. The referee made the three count, and it was over!
WINNER: ROAD WARRIOR ANIMALEpicDave: Unbelievable! Those two literally tore up South Beach!
Wildfire: I ain't never seen a fight like that! Tully got put right through the bar!
EpicDave: And what about Animal! He got clobbered with a burning log from the bonfire and it didn't even faze him. That is one awesome powerhouse! All right, fans- we have another grudge match coming up next!
Grudge Match: No DisqualificationLEX LUGER (w/TED DIBIASE) vs. RANDY ‘MACHO MAN’ SAVAGEMore chaos in the Luger-Savage showdown! Savage was all over the ring like a whirling dervish, coming at Luger from every angle. Savage put Luger down with a flying axe handle, and quickly went to the top rope for the Elbow Drop! But before Savage could take flight, a man in a hooded sweatshirt dashed down to ringside and tried to shove Savage off the turnbuckle. Savage kicked the man away, but the delay allowed Luger to escape from the deadly elbow.
Wildfire: Who was that guy?
EpicDave: I don't know- but that could be the same guy we saw last week in Texas. He didn't get the job done then, either.
The match contined with brawling inside the ring and out. Luger threw Savage to the mat with a Superplex for a near-fall. Savage rolled out of the ring, and the brawl continued. Savage floored Luger with a running lariat, then the Macho Man climbed back into the ring and up to the top turnbuckle. Throwing caution to the wind, Savage leapt from the top rope and crashed onto Luger on the arena floor! Both men went down in a heap.
EpicDave: What a collision! These guys are hell-bent on mutual destruction!
With Savage and Luger both down, DiBiase took the opportunity to strike! DiBiase jumped on Savage and put the boots to him! Savage came up swinging, and cleaned DiBiase's clock! When Luger got to his feet, Savage blasted Luger with a neckbreaker clothesline! Luger was down, and the moment was ripe. Savage shoved Luger back into the ring, went to the top rope, and soared through the air with the Flying Elbow Drop to score the pin!
WINNER: RANDY 'MACHO MAN' SAVAGEEpicDave: What a performance by the Macho Man! He gets the win over Luger- and DiBiase- and whoever that dude in the hoodie was. Savage still hasn't signed a contract- so he remains a free agent. Who knows what is going to happen next!
After the decision, DiBiase got to his feet and slid into the ring. Savage put up his fists, but DiBiase called for peace and pulled Savage in for a conversation. DiBiase reached into his jacket pocket and pulled out an envelope. Savage looked thoughtful, but shook his head and pitched DiBiase out of the ring! The fans cheered as Savage pointed to the ceiling, twirling his finger in celebration to the cheers of the fans. Wildfire: What just happened?
EpicDave: I don't know- did DiBiase just offer Savage a contract? He looked tempted- but he is not ready to sign on the dotted line. The mystery continues! But now- fans- we take you to our final three championship matches of the evening. These will be broadcast on the
Epic Sports Broadcasting Network!Atlantic Heavyweight ChampionshipCURT HENNIG © vs. DUSTY RHODESAnother tightly contested battle between Hennig and Dusty! Rhodes worked the low back early in the match in an effort to weaken Hennig. Hennig battled back, but Dusty kept control of the bout with his power and punished Hennig further. The arena floor offered no escape for Hennig as Dusty pounded the champ with the Bionic Elbow. Action returned to the ring, and after a pair of big Elbow Drops, Dusty put Hennig down for the three count!
WINNER AND NEW ATLANTIC HEAVYWEIGHT CHAMPION: DUSTY RHODESEpicDave: Fans, history has been made here in Miami! Dusty Rhodes has defeated Curt Hennig to capture the
Atlantic Heavyweight Championship for a record third time! Congratulations to Big Dust for a spectacular win.
Wildfire: That's my boy, EpicDave! Me and Dusty go back a long ways and I am always proud to see my man wearing the gold!
NWA World Tag Team ChampionshipTHE STEINER BROTHERS (RICK & SCOTTY) © vs. THE FABULOUS FREEBIRDS (MICHAEL ‘P.S.’ HAYES & TERRY ‘BAMM BAMM’ GORDY)It was a dominant performance by the Steiner Brothers, who made it look easy in tonight's title defense. The match started with a battle between Rick and Gordy, who went toe-to-toe and threw hands with intensity. Scotty tagged in and tried to outwrestle Gordy, but Gordy held his own against the younger Steiner until he tagged in Hayes. The Steiners were able to isolate Hayes and wear him down with a series of double-teams. Gordy came into the ring to defend his partner, but the referee sent Gordy back to the apron and the Steiners finished off Hayes. Scotty delivered the Belly-to-Belly suplex to end it.
WINNERS: THE STEINER BROTHERS
THE STEINER BROTHERS RETAIN THE NWA WORLD HEAVYWEIGHT CHAMPIONSHIPWildfire: Wow! Those Steiner Boys are as tough as they come. I would love for me and
TRACY SMOTHERS to have a go at them- but it's a hard row to hoe even to get a shot.
EpicDave: Right you are, my man, on both counts. The Steiners are the best in the business- and the road to a title match is a tall task to be sure. Now, fans- we take you to the Main Event!
Main Event: NWA World Heavyweight Championship‘NATURE BOY’ RIC FLAIR © vs. RAY ‘CRIPPLER’ STEVENSStevens as the challenger was the decided underdog in this match, but the 'Crippler' gave the champ all he could handle! Stevens went to the air early in the match and hit Flair with a flying knee drop! Flair kicked out, but Stevens was in control and continued to work over the champ. Flair battled through the onslaught, then manuvered Stevens into the corner and blistered Stevens' chest with repeated Thunderous Chops. Flair wore down Stevens and finally went to work on the legs. After a vicious kneebreaker, Flair went to the Figure-Four. Stevens fought the hold as long as he could, but was unable to escape and eventually gave it up.

NWA World Heavyweight Championship! Wildfire: Something wasn't right about that, EpicDave. I think Flair was holding the ropes!

NWA World Heavyweight Championship here tonight. All right, fans- we're done here. Thanks for checking out tonight's action-packed broadcast of
