NWA Heartland Card #169 Toledo Sports Center, Toledo, Ohio October 17, 2008 The show opens with JR JAMES in the ring, microphone in hand.JR: Good evening, fans, and welcome to tonight's episode of Friday Night Fury! Heartland Wrestling is proud to be coming to you live from Toledo, Ohio, with tonight's action. Our main event will be a special challenge match pitting Heartland Heavyweight Champion BRUISER BRODY against his friend and rival, JIMMY SNUKA, in a non-title match! Now, let's head to the ring for tonight's opening contest. (Tonight's referee: Joe Kopasz)BRAD ARMSTRONG vs. RAY STEVENS (w/ BOBBY HEENAN)Prior to the match, Bobby Heenan took the microphone.Heenan: Fans, I have been wanting to address you since the events that took place last week. Jim Cornette, I am downright ASHAMED that I ever did business with you! Your tactics with bringing in KING KONG BUNDY were reprehensible and corrupt- and worse yet, totally ineffective! Fans, I promise you, you will NEVER see Bobby the Brain involved in such a gesture of futility. So now, I am going back to what I do best. Managing champions, and taking down ham-and-eggers like this clown Armstrong over here! As Heenan issued the insult, Armstrong flew into a rage and lunged at him. Heenan was able to escape the ring, but Armstrong landed a sucker punch to Stevens. As Stevens fought back, Joe Kopasz called for the bell and ordered the match to begin!Stevens survived the initial onslaught and took control of the match. After the two men traded moves for several minutes, the Crippler leveled his man with a Jumping Knee Smash and set him up for a clean finish. WINNER: RAY "CRIPPLER" STEVENS(Stevens pinned Armstrong after a Bombs Away)JR: A decisive win for Stevens. And better yet, we can now once again count on the impeccable integrity of Bobby Heenan. The more things change, the more they stay the same, no question about it. Now, let's take a look at another international superstar making his Heartland debut! IRON SHEIK (w/ NIKITA BREZNIKOV) vs. GIANT BABABaba took the measure of Sheik in dominant fashion, putting him down early with a Neckbreaker Drop. Breznikov managed to distract Joe Kopasz and prevent the pinfall. But Baba repeated the move, and this time Brenikov forced his way into the ring and physically intervened. Baba clotheslined the helpless manager out of the ring, then turned his attention back to Sheik and finished him off. WINNER: GIANT BABA(Baba pinned Sheik after a Piledriver)After the match, an angry FRITZ VON GOERING stormed the ring in defense of his manager. Von Goering attacked Baba and Sheik jumped in quickly. But Baba was on fire, and cleared the ring of both men! Breznikov quickly gathered his troops and beat a hasty retreat from the ring area as the fans cheered the triumphant hero!JR: Wow! This Baba is a superior specimen indeed. The entire Foreign Legion was unable to back him down! He dominated the Iron Sheik and Von Goering both! BLOODLUST (JUSTIN CREDIBLE & DRAKE YOUNGER) vs. THE MIDNIGHT EXPRESS (STAN LANE & BOBBY EATON w/ JIM CORNETTE)Credible and Eaton dueled in a closely matched contest with each man executing some impressive manuvers. But before either man tagged out, Eaton caught Credible in a spinning neckbreaker and pinned him with a pull of the tights! WINNERS: THE MIDNIGHT EXPRESS(Eaton pinned Credible after a spinning neckbreaker)After the decision, "HACKSAW" JIM DUGGAN stormed to the ring, pointing at Eaton and hollering at Joe Kopasz. Before Duggan could get his point across, KING KONG BUNDY emerged from backstage and clobbered Duggan with a massive forearm across the back! Stan Lane quickly joined in the attack, and the two men put the boots to Duggan. Before the damage was done, "DR. DEATH" STEVE WILLIAMS dashed in from backstage and intercepted Bundy! A four-way brawl developed until BIG JIM THE ENFORCER and his charges came out to settle the issue and escort Duggan and Williams out of the ring area. JR: How about that? Duggan has a powerful ally watching his back now. Perhaps he's found his partner to accept the challenge from the Midnight Express at next week's episode of Aggression! But for this night, the Midnights come away victorious. However, no question about it, we have not heard the last of this newly formed duo of Younger and Credible. Our next match will be another qualifying match for the Heartland Heavyweight Championship, pitting two of the hottest wrestlers in the entire territory! NWA HEARTLAND HEAVYWEIGHT CHAMPIONSHIP: QUALIFYING MATCH TITO SANTANA vs. MIKE QUACKENBUSHIt was Tito's night in this qualifier, as the athletic Mexican used his superior strength to control the match. Quackenbush survived a number of near falls, but was unable to mount any significant offense before Tito finally finished him with a Sunset Flip. WINNER: TITO SANTANA(Santana pinned Quackenbush with a Sunset Flip)JR: What a fine demonstration by Tito Santana! He is on a hot streak in the Heartland, no question about it. But before he steps into the title picture, he will have his hands full indeed as BOBO BRAZIL stands in his path. And now, fans, our main event of the evening is a rematch from Heartland Havoc XX. Before we go to the ring, WILDMAN BUTCH MICHAELS has a video recap of the Heartland Heavyweight Title match from Havoc. Footage is displayed from Heartland Havoc XX. Brody and Snuka tore up the Nutter Center, pounding away at each other in a highly entertaining title bout! Snuka took the advantage at the outset, pummeling Brody with chops and kicks before flooring him with a flying headbutt! Snuka mounted the top turnbuckle and crashed onto Brody with a Superfly Leap! But the finisher was premature, and Brody kicked out. Seizing the momentum, Brody rallied, overpowering Snuka and slamming him to the canvas. Snuka rolled out of the ring, where the chaos escalated. Snuka chopped away at the chest of the massive champion, and Bruiser took his best shots and gave as good as he got. Sensing the tide turning, Snuka grabbed Brody by the arm and whipped him into the steel security railing. Joe Kopasz attempted to corral the action back to the ring, but Snuka shoved him aside and continued his assault. Kopasz tumbled to the floor, and when he got up, called for the bell to put an end to the fracas. The crowd was stunned and booed Kopasz heavily. Snuka was beside himself, and even Brody appeared disappointed at the premature end to the brawl. But the decision stood, and Brody consoled Snuka was an embrace as the champion and challenger returned to the back stage area together.JR: In the aftermath of that match, it was actually Brody who offered Snuka a rematch. This will be a no-disqualification, non-title match, but if Snuka comes out victorious, Brody has agreed to grant him a title match! Let's head back to the ring for what promises to be an outstanding main event indeed. MAIN EVENT: NON-TITLE CHALLENGE MATCH- NO DISQUALIFICATION HEARTLAND HEAVYWEIGHT CHAMPION BRUISER BRODY vs. JIMMY "SUPERFLY" SNUKAThe rematch between these two icons did not disappoint! After several minutes of back-and-forth action, Snuka took control with a dynamic leap frog and chop. Snuka maintained the advantage and scored several near falls, finally dropping the champion with a thunderous powerslam. Superfly went to the top turnbuckle, but the match turned when Brody rolled away from the Superfly Leap and Snuka crashed to the canvas! Brody immediately responded with a jumping knee drop, but Snuka kicked out of the pin attempt. True to form, Brody hurled Snuka out of the ring, then sent him careening shoulder-first into the steel ring steps. Snuka was stunned, and Brody was able to roll him back into the ring and pin him cleanly after a massive leg drop. WINNER: BRUISER BRODY(Brody pinned Snuka after a Running Leg Drop)JR: Once again, Brody proves that he is the most formidable man in the Heartland! Snuka gave Bruiser all he wanted, but Brody still came out on top in a tremendous main event indeed! Fans, we thank you so much for joining us tonight for this edition of Fury. We'll be back on Monday night with another exciting night of action! And yes, it has just been confirmed- our main event will be a tag team grudge match as STAN LANE and BOBBY EATON will square off against HACKSAW JIM DUGGAN and "DR. DEATH" STEVE WILLIAMS! What a showdown that will be! Until then, fans, so long from the Buckeye State!

NWA Heartland Card #170 U.S. Bank Arena, Cincinnati, Ohio October 20, 2008 The show opens with JR JAMES in the ring, microphone in hand. JR: Good evening, fans, and welcome to Monday Night Adrenaline! We are pleased and privileged indeed to bring you another evening of Heartland Wrestling action. We have a great card for you this evening, highlighted by a very special main event. The issues between JIM CORNETTE and "HACKSAW" JIM DUGGAN continue to fester, and tonight Duggan has accepted the challenge for a tag team match. "DR. DEATH" STEVE WILLIAMS has stepped forward to partner with Hacksaw tonight as they will meet "SWEET" STAN LANE and "BEAUTIFUL" BOBBY EATON in a no-disqualification grudge match! That match alone should be worth the price of admission. But before we head to the ring, we have a special announcement from Heartland Commissioner COUSIN LUKE.Cousin Luke appears on the CincyTron, seated behind a large mahogany desk in a spacious office. He is dressed in a black business suit as he leans back in his chair with his feet on the desk, his bare ankles visible under his black wing tips. He is reading Forbes magazine when he suddenly becomes aware that the cameras are rolling. Luke nearly topples out of his chair as he sits up and addresses the camera.Luke: Howdy! Fans, I just wanted to come around tonight to congratulate MIKE QUACKENBUSH for winning the Heartland Cruiserweight tournament. But dontcha know, I just learnt that the NWA ain't got no Cruiserweight title no more! So this is what I'm gonna do. (Luke reaches down and pushes a button on his desk phone.) Bertha, honey, bring me in that new trophy. Shortly, a hefty lady in a business suit waddles into the office, lugging a large silver trophy cup. Bertha hoists the cup onto the desk with a gasp. She smiles at Luke, proudly flashing both of her teeth for the camera. She stops to wipe the sweat from her brow with the back of her hand and makes a few adjustments of her undergarments before she turns and lumbers out of the office.Luke: OOO-EEE! Boy, that Bertha shore is a keeper! (Luke fans himself with his hand.) Anyway, fans, this here is the trophy fer Mike Quackenbush winnin' the cruiserweight championship. I couldn't think of a good name, so we'll call it after my favorite movie actor. This will be called the JOHN CANDY CRUISERWEIGHT CUP! We'll just call her the Candy Cup for short. The rules fer the Candy Cup is this: any cruiserweight, 230 pounds or less, in any NWA territory can come to Heartland any time they want to challenge fer the Cup! Just announce yer challenge to the NWA Board and come to the Heartland and let's get it on! JJ, y'all have a good show tonight. If you need me, I'll be out front courtin' the lovely Miss Bertha! Luke pulls a can of breath spray out of his breast pocket and takes a couple shots. He winks at the camera as the action returns to ringside.JR: Wow... words cannot express my feelings about that situation. But that was indeed an exciting announcement from the Commissioner! The Candy Cup is now the possession of one Mike Quackenbush, and Quack will be accepting challenges throughout the NWA. Luckily for him, I don't think Miss Bertha will be eligible to compete. Now, let's head to the ring for tonight's opening contest! (Tonight's referee: Nick Patrick)KING KONG BUNDY (w/ JIM CORNETTE) vs. BRUTUS "THE GEEK" BEEFCAKEExpectations for this match were low, but Brutus put on the performance of a lifetime and nearly came away with an upset. Bundy survived several near falls (with a little timely assistance from Jim Cornette), prompting Beefcake to make a fatal mistake. Brutus went to the top turnbuckle and dove on Bundy, who caught him and powered him to the mat with a thunderous body slam. An Avalanche and a five-count marked the end of the night for the Geek. WINNER: KING KONG BUNDY(Bundy pinned Beefcake via five-count after an Avalanche)JR: Brutus may be the smartest man in the Heartland, but he made a major miscalculation in that match indeed. JUSTIN CREDIBLE vs. JOHNNY VALENTINEIn another seeming mismatch, Valentine dominated Credible from the opening bell- to the moment the match spilled out of the ring. Credible took to the floor, and the volatile Valentine was happy to oblige. But when Justin introduced the Singapore Cane into the match, he caught Johnny off-guard and opened a nasty gash on his forehead. Credible smelled blood and took the fight to his foe, carrying the momentum to a surprise victory! WINNER: JUSTIN CREDIBLE(Credible pinned Valentine after a Singapore Cane shot)JR: Oh, my goodness! Fans, what a major upset we have seen here tonight in Cincinnati! Justin Credible- with a little help from his friend- has knocked off Johnny Valentine! That's gonna put a major wrinkle in the Heartland contender rankings, no question about it. JIMMY "SUPERFLY" SNUKA vs. CURT HENNIGTwo of the most dynamic performers in the Heartland hooked up for a very intense contest, but it was Mr. Perfect who came out on top. After sending Snuka head-first to the steel ring post, Hennig caught him in the Hennig Plex and pinned him cleanly in the center of the ring! WINNER: CURT HENNIG(Hennig pinned Snuka after a Hennig Plex)JR: Wow! Another top contender bites the dust here at Adrenaline! Hennig came to the Heartland full of confidence, and tonight he was able to back it up against a former champion! Next up, fans, we bring you a special challenge match which developed after a situation at Heartland Havoc XX. DRAKE YOUNGER attempted to interfere in the Heartland Television Title match, but was confronted by DELIRIOUS and chased away from the ring! Younger vowed revenge, and tonight he will have his opportunity to face off against Delirious in the squared circle. SPECIAL CHALLENGE MATCH: NO DISQUALIFICATION DELIRIOUS vs. DRAKE YOUNGERYounger was clearly the aggressor throughout the match, coming after Delirious with a striking level of violence. Younger beat Delirious with a series of light tubes, bloodying his foe before finishing him off with the Drake's Landing Vertebreaker. Following the match, Younger continued his assault on Delirious with another light tube. Delirious made it to his feet and returned fire with a steel chair! The carnage escalated, despite the efforts of BIG JIM THE ENFORCER and his officials. Delirious hammered Younger across the back with the chair, sending him sprawling to the arena floor. But when Delirious charged at Drake, attempting a Panic Attack against the steel ring steps, Younger slid away and caught him with a drop toe hold onto the steps! Delirious went down in a heap and lay motionless, while Younger took several moments to get to his feet and stagger back to the locker room area. Delirious remained down, and paramedics were called to transport him back to the training room on a stretcher.JR: A shocking display of brutality. Fans, I am stunned by what we have just witnessed. Mutual destruction! Now that the dust is settled, we have a very important tag team match with a title shot at stake! NWA HEARTLAND TAG TEAM CHAMPIONSHIP: #1 CONTENDERS' MATCH THE NEW AGE OUTLAWS (B.G. & KIP JAMES) vs. THE HIGH ROLLERS (PLAYBOY BUDDY ROSE & DIAMOND DALLAS PAGE)The well-tuned machine that is the New Age Outlaws once again outfoxed the competition and took home the victory. Page executed a brilliant move, evading a double-team and dropping Kip with a Diamond Cutter! But B.G. interrupted the pinfall, and the match continued. The Outlaws timed their manuver precisely, taking advantage of Rose while B.G. fended off Page and the Rollers were done for. WINNERS: THE NEW AGE OUTLAWS(Kip pinned Rose after a Standing Leg Drop)JR: The Outlaws outwit the competition once again! Kip and BG are headed for another title match, and the opportunity to become the Heartland's first-ever three-time tag team champions! Finally, fans, we take you to the long-awaited showdown between Jim Cornette's men and their nemesis, "HACKSAW" JIM DUGGAN!SPECIAL CHALLENGE MATCH: NO DISQUALIFICATION THE MIDNIGHT EXPRESS (STAN LANE & BOBBY EATON w/ JIM CORNETTE) vs. "HACKSAW" JIM DUGGAN & "DR. DEATH" STEVE WILLIAMSThe main event was every bit the fiasco which the Cincinnati crowd expected. Duggan and Williams came out brawling, but the crafty Midnights used their devious tactics to keep their foes off-balance. The Midnights isolated Williams, and with help from Cornette, wore him down badly. But Williams survived the onslaught and ultimately made the hot tag to Duggan! Hacksaw pummeled both Lane and Eaton as the crowd roared with excitement! But the resurgence was short-lived, as Duggan walked into an Enzuigiri from Lane. Lane covered Duggan, and Nick Patrick made the three-count as Cornette held Hacksaw's legs to prevent his escape! After Patrick counted the pinfall, the Midnights exchanged high-fives and Cornette joined them in the ring for the post-match celebration. But before the music even began, the celebration was interrupted by the bellowing of COUSIN LUKE as he stormed to ringside with a microphone.Luke: Naw! Naw! Nuh huh! That ain't right! Y'all cheated! Now listen here, y'all! I ain't gonna sit by as yore Commissioner and let that stuff happen in my territory. Jimmy Cornette, if yore so interested in gettin' in on this match, then you can get in the ring and fight for yourself! This here's a 3-on-2 handicap match now. Nick Patrick, ring the bell! Cornette looks at Luke in disbelief as the bell rings. Before he can escape, Cornette is blasted by a running clothesline from Duggan! Williams clears the ring of the Midnights as Cornette staggers to his feet. Duggan clobbers Cornette with a Running Football Tackle and sent him sprawling to the canvas! The glasses went one direction, the tennis racket went the opposite direction, and Cornette went down for the three count. WINNERS: "HACKSAW" JIM DUGGAN & STEVE "DR. DEATH" WILLIAMS(Duggan pinned Cornette after a Running Football Tackle)After the match, Duggan continued his attack on Jim Cornette! Duggan called to Williams, who reached under the ring and pulled out a can of yellow spray paint. Duggan ripped the coat and shirt off of Cornette, then shook the paint can as the crowd roared! But before Duggan could begin the paint job, KING KONG BUNDY stormed into the ring and clobbered Duggan across the back with a massive forearm. Duggan flopped to the mat, but immediately got up and launched himself at Bundy. An enormous brawl broke out between Bundy and Duggan, as both men refused to back down. Finally, men from both factions, assisted by Nick Patrick and the Commissioner himself, waded into the fracas and got the combatants separated.Luke: Now settle down- all y'all! Bundy, you git on outta here! I want Bundy and Hacksaw signed on for a match. Y'all will have yer time to git after each other- I promise! JR: What a conclusion to tonight's card! You had to know this was coming, fans. It will be HACKSAW JIM DUGGAN vs. KING KONG BUNDY in your main event, this Friday night at Fury! Fans, it has been quite an eventful night here in the Queen City, and we thank you ever so much for joining us. We'll be back on Friday. Until then, fans, so long from the Buckeye State!

NWA Heartland Card #171 Value City Arena, Columbus, Ohio October 24, 2008 The show opens with JR JAMES in the ring to address the packed crowd.JR: Good evening, Heartland fans, and welcome to the home of the Buckeyes! We are here in Columbus tonight, on the eve of the showdown between your Buckeyes and #3 rated Penn State! The atmosphere in the Buckeye State is electric, but the order of business tonight is Heartland Wrestling. We have a huge Main Event grudge match signed for tonight pitting "HACKSAW" JIM DUGGAN against KING KONG BUNDY in a Last Man Standing match! But before we go to the ring, we have a special message from Heartland Commissioner COUSIN LUKE.The Buckeyetron lights up to reveal Cousin Luke at his desk. MISS BERTHA is waddling around the office in a black French maid's dress, humming happily as she dusts the furniture. She pauses momentarily to scratch her armpit with the feather duster before returning to work. Luke is gazing at Bertha until his suddenly realizes that he is on camera. He sits up quickly and clears his throat.Luke: Howdy! Thanks fer watchin' Heartland Wrestling! We got summin' new fer y'all, starting tonight! We're gonna have us a Six-Man Tag Team Tournament! We got eight teams set up to wrestle, with the winning team gettin' a $30,000 prize! Now, let's head to the ring for tonight's opening contest! JR: Hey! That's my line! (Tonight's referee: Joe Kopasz)HEARTLAND SIX-MAN TAG TOURNAMENT OX BAKER, LARRY ZBYSZKO & RAY "CRIPPLER" STEVENS (w/ BOBBY "THE BRAIN" HEENAN) vs. STAN LANE, BOBBY EATON, & DENNIS CONDREY (w/ JIM CORNETTE)The first match-up in the Six-Man Tag Tournament was a major confrontation! This contest marked Condrey's return to the ring after suffering broken ribs at the hands of Larry Zybszko. Condrey was desperate to get his hands on Zbyszko, but Ox Baker remained in the ring for most of the contest. The Midnights controlled much of the action with their superior teamwork, and Condrey managed to drop Baker to the mat with a stun gun. With lightning precision, Condrey hoisted Lane into the Rocket Launcher to put Baker down for a pin attempt! Heenan distracted referee Joe Kopasz, allowing Baker to get back to his feet. But Cornette took advantage of the distraction, blasting the woozy Ox with his tennis racket. Condrey made the cover just as Kopasz' attention returned to the ring, and he counted the pinfall! WINNERS: LANE, EATON & CONDREY(Condrey pinned Baker after outside interference from Jim Cornette)JR: What a wild match! Condrey didn't get his hands on Zbyszko, but he did gain a measure of revenge by capturing the pinfall. As Joe Kopasz prepares the ring for the next contest, GREG "THE HAMMER" VALENTINE grabs a microphone from ringside and barges into the ring.Valentine: You know what makes me sick? I'm tired of this idiot MORTIMER THE MASKED MORTICIAN running around here hiding behind that stinkin' mask. Everybody on the planet knows who you are! Mark my words, Mortimer- I will have your mask and I will expose you for the fraud that you are! MORTIMER THE MASKED MORTICIAN vs. GREG "THE HAMMER" VALENTINEIn response to the threat from Valentine, Mortimer took to the offensive from the opening bell! Morty launched himself at the Hammer and leveled him with a flying tackle, then quickly planted him with a Tiger Driver and captured a pinfall! WINNER: MORTIMER THE MASKED MORTICIAN(Mortimer pinned Valentine with a Tiger Driver)After the pinfall, Mortimer dashed out of the ring and up the rampway, disappearing behind the curtain before Valentine even made it back to his feet. Valentine kicked at the ropes in frustration as the crowd jeered him for the defeat.JR: So, the mysterious identity of Mortimer remains unknown and Greg Valentine remains a loser. Indeed, some things never change! "DR. DEATH" STEVE WILLIAMS vs. "MR. PERFECT" CURT HENNIGA wild match-up between two intense competitors! Williams and Hennig locked horns in a highly competitive match-up. After a tight struggle, Williams began to overpower Hennig and establish control, until LARRY HENNIG and DON LEO JONATHAN showed up at ringside. Curt's allies tried their best to distract Joe Kopasz and take advantage of their superior numbers, but Kopasz would have none of it, and sent both men back to the dressing room! The departure of the intruders did nothing to ease the chaos. Hennig charged at Williams in the corner, but Kopasz wound up in the path of Hennig's clothesline which knocked him to the mat, senseless. With Kopasz down, both men threw out the rulebook and the match deteriorated to a brawl on the arena floor. Williams slammed Hennig face-first onto the ring steps, busting him open. Dr. Death then executed a vicious Oklahoma Stampede, but Kopasz was still out of it and could not deliver a count. Hennig regained his senses and dodged a standing dropkick from Williams, then picked him up for a Hennig Plex, but again there was no three count. Finally, Kopasz rallied and returned to action, just as Hennig came off the ropes and delivered a Rolling Neck Snap and made the cover. A groggy Kopasz managed to make the three count and Hennig came away victorious. WINNER: "MR. PERFECT" CURT HENNIG(Hennig pinned Williams after a Rolling Neck Snap)JR: Wow! What an amazing contest! Hennig was busted open after the brawl, but still managed to escape with the win. Even after Kopasz went down, and after the appearance of Larry Hennig and Don Leo Jonathan, this match made it to its conclusion. No question, that was a remarkable situation indeed. This six-man tournament has resulted in the battle lines being drawn throughout the Heartland! As the Heartland trainers come to the ring to assist the groggy Joe Kopasz, NICK PATRICK is summoned from the locker room to take over the officiating duties.NWA HEARTLAND TAG TEAM TITLE: QUALIFYING MATCH HILLBILLY JIM & UNCLE ELMER vs. PELIGROSO (PEPPER GOMEZ & TITO SANTANA)In a bizarre occurrence, the early moments of the match were interrupted when BOBBY "THE BRAIN" HEENAN came to ringside to observe the match! Heenan watched closely, appearing to be scouting Uncle Elmer as the opening bell rang. Hillbilly Jim was clearly distracted by the situation, enabling Santana to stun him with a dropkick. Gomez tagged in, and sent Jim tumbling out of the ring with a powerful punch to the stomach. Jim hit the floor, where he immediately began to have words with Heenan. Big Jim lost his focus, and continued to argue with Heenan as Patrick delivered a ten-count! WINNERS: PELIGROSO(Hillbilly Jim was counted out after a Stomach Punch from Gomez)After the countout, Heenan approached Elmer for a conversation.Heenan: Elmer? I understand you're looking for a manager! Well, my man, you need to look no further! How would you like to become a member of the Heenan Family? Elmer: The Heenan Family? Sir, I'd be right honored. I always been a family man. Jim: Elmer! Don't do it! Yer a good feller. You don't need to git yerself mixed up with this here weasel and his ol' polecats! Heenan: Don't listen to him. When is the last time any of you hillbillies won a match? You wanna be a winner, Elmer, come to work for me! Elmer: You know, Jim, he's right. I wanna be a winner! Mr. Brain, sir, count me in! Jim: I'm tellin' ya, Elmer, this feller is nuttin but trouble. Yer 'bout to make a big mistake. Come on back to the farm with me and set a spell. We'll talk this over. Jim tries to take Elmer by the arm, but Heenan steps between them. Heenan pokes Jim in the chest, and Jim draws back a fist as if to strike Heenan. This brings OX BAKER out of the dressing room! Baker grabs Jim and spins him around, and immediately both men launch into each other with fists flying! The brawl continues, and Heenan takes Elmer by the arm and points at Jim. Elmer pauses, then raises both hands overhead and delivers a powerful double ax-handle blow onto the back of Jim! Jim sprawls to the floor, and both Elmer and Baker begin putting the boots to him! Jim struggles in vain to get off the floor, but the pounding is too much. Baker continues to stomp away at Jim's ribs and midsection, but Heenan pulls Elmer away from the fracas and hands him a steel chair! Elmer pauses again, and Ox stops his beating, looking at Elmer. Finally Elmer swings the chair and sends in crashing down across the back of Hillbilly Jim! Elmer delivers three stiff chair shots to the back of Jim before he throws the chair to the floor. Ox pats Elmer on the back as Heenan leads the cheers. All three men depart from the ring area, leaving Jim moaning on the floor.JR: Fans, I am SHOCKED! I never would have expected such a good-natured fellow like Elmer to snap like that. And I certainly would never have expected Hillbilly Jim to be the victim of his aggressions. Jim looks to be in rough shape. It's been a busy night for the trainers, and now it looks like Jim will need their assistance to get back to the locker room. Worse yet, fans, that may not be the last we see of the trainers tonight! We still have a Last Man Standing match to happen. Let's head to the Main Event! MAIN EVENT GRUDGE MATCH: LAST MAN STANDING KING KONG BUNDY vs. "HACKSAW" JIM DUGGANThe war between Bundy and Duggan carried all over Columbus! Bundy took the early offensive in surprising fashion, taking to the air and smashing Duggan with a falling elbow drop. Duggan was stunned, and Bundy capitalized with a massive avalanche and Duggan was in bad shape. But Hacksaw battled back gamely, turning the momentum with a series of clotheslines and wearing out Bundy in the center of the ring. Action spilled out to the arena floor, where Bundy again took control. Kong used everything in sight, from the railings to the steel ring post, to punish Duggan and drop him to his knees. Duggan slumped to the floor, but managed to pull himself up at seven and the match continued. Duggan dodged a charging Bundy, sending him crashing into the ring steps. Duggan droped a powerful knee onto Bundy on the arena floor, leaving him laying as Patrick began the count. Bundy made it to his feet at eight, but Duggan was right on him. A battle of wills followed, with each man trying to smash the other's head onto the steel ring steps. It was Duggan who prevailed, smashing Bundy face-first onto the steps with a resounding THUD. Duggan climbed into the ring, raising his arms in triumph. But to the amazement of the crowd, Bundy again staggered to his feet and rolled back into the ring. Duggan was waiting for him, and launched himself into Bundy with a Flying Spear to finally put him down for the ten count! WINNER: "HACKSAW" JIM DUGGAN(Final tokens: Bundy 10, Duggan 9)After the 10-count, both men required assistance to return to the dressing room. JR: A tremendouns confrontation indeed, ladies and gentlemen. This war between Duggan and the Cornette faction continues to escalate. Sadly, I don't think we've seen the last of the bloodshed in this situation. But it certainly makes for good theater, as tonight's main event so aptly demonstrated. Fans, we do thank you for joining us here this evening. We'll be back in action on Monday night with another special episode of Adrenaline! Monday night's show will feature TWO big title matches! Both the Heartland Television Title and the Tag Team Championships will be up for grabs, so be sure to tune in! Until then, fans, so long from the Buckeye State! From off screen, a high-pitched squeal and giggling is heard.Quackenbush: If you want to be a part of the top level of cruiserweight action, let's get it on! Quackenbush is again interrupted by squealing and giggling from off-camera. He looks up, winces, and puts his hands over his eyes. He turns and walks off the scene, his face in his hands. The camera tightens on the Candy Cup as more giggling is heard, then the scene abruptly cuts out.JR: Well... congratulations again to Mike Quackenbush for winning the Cruiserweight Cup! I can't wait to see who will step up and accept the challenge. And, I suppose congratulations are also in order to our esteemed Commissioner. No question, it would seem that his courtship with Miss Bertha has also met with success. Thank heavens that our cameraman kept his focus on the Candy Cup! Now, let's head to the ring for our opening contest. (Tonight's referee: Nick Patrick)THE IRON SHEIK (w/ NIKITA BREZNIKOV) vs. BRAD ARMSTRONGArmstrong lit up the crowd with a flying body press onto the Sheik, and had the Iranian reeling after a pair of stunning knee lifts. But the Sheik kicked out of the Russian Leg Sweep, then turned the match around, catching Brad with a vicious elbow smash as he charged into the turnbuckle. The Sheik brought out his sadistic side, torturing Armstrong with an abdominal stretch and a camel clutch. To add insult to injury, the Sheik loaded up the boot and knocked Armstrong senseless to finish out the victory. WINNER: THE IRON SHEIK(Sheik pinned Armstrong after a loaded boot)JR: Ouch! The Iron Sheik has taken his aggression up a notch and Brad Armstrong paid the price. A tough night indeed for Brad. Fans, we have an unfortunate report to bring you. As a result of an injury to DELIRIOUS, our next match of the evening has been cancelled. Before JR can finish his announcement, he is interrupted by the sounds of "Flirtin' with Disaster" by Molly Hatchet blares over the loudspeakers. UNCLE ELMER emerges from backstage, accompanied by BOBBY "THE BRAIN" HEENAN. Elmer has shed his overalls, and is wearing a black leather jacket, black leather pants, and biker boots. He wears a steel chain around his neck as he strides to the ring with Heenan, rips off his sunglasses and grabs the microphone.Elmer: Say WHAT? Y'all got a problem? Y'all need a rassler to replace poor lil' ol' Delirious? Look no further, skinny boy! BIG DADDY ELMER is here to kick butt and chew tobacco- and my pouch done went empty! So you tell whatever lily-livered coward you got to come git a whoopin' from the Big Daddy! The fans erupt with boos as Elmer throws down the microphone. His opponent, JOHNNY VALENTINE, strides to the ring without hesitation. JOHNNY VALENTINE vs. UNCLE ELMER (w/ BOBBY "THE BRAIN" HEENAN)Elmer picked the wrong man for his angry tirade. The rugged Valentine stood toe to toe with the giant hillbilly as the two exchanged chops and forearms. Valentine began to prevail in the bout, elevating Elmer with a his back body drop to put the big man on the canvas. A pair of elbow drops stunned Elmer, and he looked like easy pickings until RAY STEVENS and OX BAKER showed up at ringside! Stevens grabbed the ankle of Valentine, and the fur began to fly! Johnny left the ring and began brawling with Stevens. Elmer rolled out of the ring and grabbed his steel chain, smashing it across the back of Valentine, dropping him to the floor! Nick Patrick immediately called for the bell and disqualified Elmer. But the Heenan Family wasn't finished! Elmer began to put the boots to Valentine, and Bobby Heenan joined in! Stevens and Baker held off Nick Patrick, allowing Elmer to vent his frustrations on the downed Valentine. In spite of the pummeling, Valentine got to his feet and staggered back to the locker room as Elmer laughed and swung his chain.Elmer: Run, boy, run! Run like the yellow dog that you are! Valentine turns and points ominously at Big Daddy. Heenan and his family laugh at Valentine as he departs. As they watch him leave, Heenan and his men are startled as the Videotron lights up and COMMISSIONER LUKE appears on the screen.Luke: Bobby Heenan! You miserable snake! You best watch yore step. As Commissioner of this here territory, I ain't about to let you git away with yore nonsense. You n' yore boys can't be whoopin an innocent feller with yore chains. 'Specially YOU, Elmer! I dunno what got into you, but I'm fixin' to have yore momma come and turn you over her knee! As fer you, Mr. Heenan, you are FINED $10,000! Luke is interrupted by a throaty giggle in the background.Luke: Not now, darlin'! I got business to do! Now Bobby- you pay yore fine, and if you act up agin, I will suspend you! The Videotron goes blank as Heenan scowls.JR: Commissioner Luke is laying down the law! What an explosive situation, fans! First we see the appearance of this "Big Daddy" Elmer, and now Heenan has run afoul of the long arm of the Commissioner! What on earth will we see next? RAY "CRIPPLER" STEVENS (w/ BOBBY "THE BRAIN" HEENAN) vs. MASKED SUPERSTAR (w/ SLICK)The adrenaline was still pumping for Stevens as he jumped on the Superstar from the opening bell! Stevens took the advantage with a jumping knee smash, and never looked back. Slick managed to prolong the match with his antics at ringside, distracting Nick Patrick only briefly before Stevens was able to finish the victory. WINNER: RAY "CRIPPLER" STEVENS(Stevens pinned Superstar after the Bombs Away)JR: A dominant win for the Crippler! This quiet assassin is the glue that holds the Heenan family together, and tonight's match was a case in point indeed. In spite of all the controversy surrounding the Brain, Stevens kept his focus and put aside a formidable opponent. HEARTLAND TELEVISION TITLE THE DESTROYER (c) vs. JUSTIN CREDIBLEDestroyer simply embarassed Credible in his first title defense! The champion never allowed his foe to unleash his vaunted brawling attack, keeping the match at a snail's pace and twisting Justin into a variety of shapes. Credible barely survived a single-leg Boston Crab, but it took so much out of him that he was unable to escape the Destroyer's Figure-4. WINNER: THE DESTROYER(Destroyer forced Credible to submit to the Figure-4)DESTROYER RETAINS THE TELEVISION TITLEJR: Well done! Justin Credible is a dangerous man, but I am truly impressed by the way that Destroyer handled his business tonight. No question, he is a formidable champion. MAIN EVENT: NWA HEARTLAND TAG TEAM CHAMPIONSHIP OX BAKER & LARRY ZBYSZKO (c) (w/ BOBBY "THE BRAIN" HEENAN) vs. THE NEW AGE OUTLAWSThe Heenan Family continued to run roughshod over the Heartland in the main event. The Big Ox spent most of this match trapped in the ring, as the crafty Outlaws tagged in and out frequently. As Baker wore down, he became frustrated, and at the earliest opportunity he hurled BG out of the ring. Ox grabbed BG by the neck and smashed his face into the steel ring railing! Once again, Nick Patrick was left with no choice but to call for the disqualification. After the decision, Baker continued his attack on BG James, but Kip came to his defense and joined in the fracas! As Zbyszko made his way to the brawl, he was intercepted by DENNIS CONDREY dashing to the ring! Condrey attacked Zbyszko and the fists flew, as Baker did battle with Kip and BG James. Baker managed to stun both the Outlaws with a double noggin knocker! When Nick Patrick tried to restrain Baker, Ox grabbed him and blasted him with a devastating headbutt! Patrick collapsed to the floor, and Bobby Heenan finally managed to get Baker under control and lead him away from the ring. Condrey and Zbyszko continued to brawl up the ring ramp until BIG JIM THE ENFORCER and his security team broke up the fracas and ushered both men back to the dressing room.WINNERS: THE NEW AGE OUTLAWS(Baker disqualified for attacking BG James outside the ring)BAKER AND ZBYSZKO RETAIN THE HEARTLAND TAG TEAM CHAMPIONSHIPJR: What a fiasco! The Heenan Family is making enemies left and right. But they escape tonight with the tag titles intact and that is the top priority for the Brain. Once again, JR is interrupted as the Videotron lights up and COMMISSIONER LUKE appears.Luke: That's it! Fellas, I done warned ya. Y'all can't just push folks around and do whatever you please. Ox Baker, you are SUSPENDED for the next two weeks! You boys wanna act up agin? I'll fire ya! Luke points his finger and scowls into the camera as the Videotron goes to black.JR: Oh, my goodness! Ox Baker has been suspended! This is a most remarkable development indeed. What an ending to a highly controversial broadcast! Fans, we do thank you for joining us here this evening for Monday Night Adrenaline. We'll be back on Friday night with more exciting Heartland action. Our main event will be the #1 contenders' match for the Heartland Heavyweight Championship! It will be BOBO BRAZIL taking on TITO SANTANA, and the winner of that match will face off against Heartland Heavyweight Champion BRUISER BRODY at Heartland Havoc XXI. Until then, fans, so long from the Buckeye State! INJURY LISTHACKSAW JIM DUGGAN: Severe Injury through card 174 DELIRIOUS: Severe Injury through card 175 HILLBILLY JIM: Severe Injury through card 177

NWA Heartland Card #173 Beeghley Center, Youngstown, Ohio October 31, 2008 The show opens with JR JAMES in the ring with the microphone. He is dressed as a plumber, complete with a jump suit and a plunger. He is accompanied by COMMISSIONER LUKE, dressed as Smoky the Bear, as JR addresses the packed house.JR: Good evening, fans, and Happy Halloween! Welcome to tonight's edition of Friday Night Fury! It is our privilege to be here tonight at the home of the world-famous JOE THE PLUMBER, proof positive that one man CAN make a difference in this crazy world! And speaking of one man who made a difference, it is my pleasure to welcome back our esteemed Commissioner with a special announcement. Luke: Howdy! Thanks for them nice words, Jimmy. It's always nice to take a break from settin' at my desk to git out and spend time with the fans! Now listen up, y'all. Next month, we got the World Tag Team Champions comin' to the Heartland! Not to git ready for the champeens, we gotta have some challengers! So tonight, we will begin a tournament to choose the challengers. The bad news is, the top team in the Heartland is Baker and Zbyszko, and the big Ox done went and got suspended. So, no tournament for those guys. The next four teams in the rankings will be on our tournament, which will start right here tonight! Now, let's- JR: Oh, no you don't! You may be the Commissioner, but that doesn't give you the right to step on MY lines! Now, let's head to the ring for tonight's opening contest. (Tonight's referee: Joe Kopasz)HEARTLAND SIX-MAN TAG TOURNAMENT GIANT BABA, ANTONIO INOKI, & STEVE "DR. DEATH" WILLIAMS vs. BOBO BRAZIL, MASKED SUPERSTAR, & THE DESTROYER (w/ SLICK)A chaotic match between two talented teams! All six men came into this bout determined to impress. The action was tight and the tags were frequent. Slick's men isolated Williams in the ring for a time and did some damage, nearly gaining a pinfall when Bobo dropped Dr. Death with a Coco Butt! But Williams managed to escape and tag out to Baba. The Giant dueled with The Destroyer, exchanging the advantage back and forth several times before Destroyer gained the advantage. Destroyer caught Baba with a Sensational Suplex and went for the cover. It appeared that Baba would easily kick out, but Masked Superstar grabbed his leg from outside the ring and prevented his escape! Joe Kopasz counted the pinfall, and the match ended in stunning fashion! After the decision, Baba pursued Superstar out of the ring and a brief scuffle ensued, but cooler heads prevailed and neither man was injured.WINNERS: BRAZIL, DESTROYER & SUPERSTAR(Destroyer pinned Baba after a Sensational Suplex)JR: What a shocker! Baba's team was favored by some observers to be the team to beat in this tournament. But Superstar was one step ahead in that situation and Baba is none too pleased. Now fans, our next match has been rebooked due to the absence of Ox Baker. Baker was scheduled to take on TAKESHI MORISHIMA, but instead, Morishima will meet BOBBY EATON coming up next. BEAUTIFUL BOBBY EATON (w/ JIM CORNETTE) vs. TAKESHI MORISHIMAEaton and Cornette appeared unhappy about the prospects of being selected to face Morishima, and his fears proved to be a bad omen. Morishima took control from the outset, leveling Eaton with a thunderous lariat. Eaton was clearly stunned, and Morishima immediately picked him up for a powerful Saito Suplex and recorded a victory! WINNER: TAKESHI MORISHIMA(Morishima pinned Eaton after a Saito Suplex)JR: A decisive victory indeed for Morishima. He hasn't missed a beat since losing the Television Title. No question, The Destroyer is squarely in his sights. JIMMY "SUPERFLY" SNUKA vs. "LIGHTNING" MIKE QUACKENBUSHIn an exciting bout between two of the finest athletes in the Heartland, Quack put on an awesome show. After rolling away from a Superfly Leap, Quack nailed Snuka with the Chikara Special, and nearly caught a pinfall after a Swanton Splash. But Snuka powered his way back into the match, and managed to nail Quack with a second Superfly Leap to capture the pinfall. WINNER: JIMMY "SUPERFLY" SNUKA(Snuka pinned Quackenbush after a Superfly Leap)JR: Quackenbush really gave Snuka all he wanted in that match, but the Superfly is one of the true legends in this sport and tonight he proved why. But Snuka is not a cruiserweight, and Quackenbush still holds the Candy Cup. Let's see if we can get a word with the cup holder before he heads back to the locker room. Luke picks up a microphone and chases down Quackenbush on the ring ramp.Luke: Mr. Quack! Mr. Quack! Sorry about that match tonight. Quackenbush: Thank you, Commissioner. It's certainly an honor and a privilege to compete with a man like Jimmy Snuka. Luke: But what about the Candy Cup? Quackenbush: No challengers yet! Luke: What about Chris Hero? Quackenbush: Be serious. Chris Hero is no cruiserweight. If he's 230 pounds, then I'm the President of the United States. Luke: You'd be better at it than either of the jokers who are runnin' this year. Quackenbush: Never mind about that. I have a message for Chris Hero. Hero- Candy Cup or not- you want some of me, come get it! I will take you down in the center of the ring and pin you, one, two, three! We've been down this road before, my man- but I am ready for you any time! Quackenbush hands the microphone back to Luke and strides back to the locker room.JR: Strong words indeed from Mr. Quackenbush! The match between Quack and Chris Hero is inevitable, no question about that. Now, let's take a look at the first qualifying match for the NWA World Tag Team Championship! NWA WORLD TAG TEAM CHAMPIONSHIP: QUALIFYING MATCH THE HIGH ROLLERS (DIAMOND DALLAS PAGE & PLAYBOY BUDDY ROSE) vs. THE NEW AGE OUTLAWS (B.G. & KIP JAMES)The latest battle in this ongoing rivalry was another competitive and entertaining chapter. The action was crisp and both teams executed beautifully, but it was B.G. who came up large tonight, catching Page out of nowhere with a James Gang Pounce to catch the pinfall! WINNERS: THE NEW AGE OUTLAWS(B.G. pinned Page after the James Gang Pounce)JR: If I had a nickel for every time these teams hooked up in a tight match over the past year... Barack Obama would be salivating! No question, this is a very close match-up between two talented teams. But tonight, the Outlaws come out on top and move ahead to the contenders' match for the World Tag Team Titles! NWA HEARTLAND HEAVYWEIGHT CHAMPIONSHIP: #1 CONTENDERS' MATCH TITO SANTANA vs. BOBO BRAZIL (w/ SLICK)A major upset! Tito Santana stunned the wrestling world with a surprising victory over Bobo Brazil to become the number one contender! Brazil came out with confidence, overpowering Tito early with the spinebuster and nailing him with a falling elbow. But Santana slipped out of another attempted spinebuster, then came off the ropes with a sunset flip! Bobo kicked out of the pinfall, but Santana was first to recover and surprised Brazil with a Figure-4 leglock! Bobo struggled mightily, but the hold was perfectly executed and he was unable to escape. Despite his best efforts, Brazil was forced to tap out and the victory went to Santana! WINNER: TITO SANTANA(Santana forced Brazil to submit to the Figure-4)JR: Fans, I am amazed indeed. Tito Santana was the prohibitive underdog in this match- and now he is headed to Heartland Havoc XXI with a shot at the Heavyweight Championship! Once again, I expect Tito to be the underdog as BRUISER BRODY looks to keep his grasp on that championship belt! Once again, fans, it has been our privilege to bring you this evening of Heartland Wrestling. We hope you will join us again on Monday night for the next episode of Adrenaline! Our main event will feature the next qualifying match for the World Tag Titles. Who will face the Outlaws for the right to go after the World Championship? Tune in again on Monday for the answer. Until then, fans, so long from the Buckeye State! INJURY LISTHACKSAW JIM DUGGAN: Severe Injury through card 174 DELIRIOUS: Severe Injury through card 175 HILLBILLY JIM: Severe Injury through card 177

NWA Heartland Card #174 Canton Civic Center, Canton, Ohio November 3, 2008 The show opens with JR JAMES in the ring, holding the microphone.JR: Good evening, fans, and welcome to Monday Night Adrenaline! It is our privilege to be here in Canton, Ohio, in the shadow of the Pro Football Hall of Fame, to bring you tonight's great card of action. It promises to be a great night here in the Heartland, on the brink of our next Pay-Per-View broadcast of Heartland Havoc XXI! The accolades continue to roll in, and I would indeed be remiss if I did not congratulate COMMISSIONER LUKE and all the hard-working Heartland talent. NWA Heartland has just been named LoW Fed of the Month on the Greatest Board in the Galaxy! Special thanks to my man Swarm, Mr. Vegas, and all the great fans who made this occasion possible. And of course, a special congratulations to OLD SKEWL, the overall GBITG Fed of the Month! But enough of the back-slapping, we have a show for this evening! Let's head to the ring for tonight's opening contest. (Tonight's referee: Nick Patrick)BRUTUS "THE GEEK" BEEFCAKE vs. LARRY "THE AXE" HENNIGThe Geek and The Axe had a full-out battle inside the ring and out! The Geek managed to hold his own in the battles outside the ring as both men tested the limits of the rulebook. Nick Patrick gave both men leeway to settle the issue, and the match returned to the ring. Brutus took advantage and punished Hennig with the Studded Arm Band, then put him on the mat with a Flying Knee Smash. Although Hennig gamely kicked out of the pinfall, he was severely weakened and Brutus put him away. WINNER: BRUTUS "THE GEEK" BEEFCAKE(Beefcake knocked out Hennig with a Sleeper Hold)JR: Who knew that the "Geek" could survive such a brawl? A fine victory indeed for Brutus. Now, before we head to our next match, WILDMAN BUTCH MICHAELS is backstage with a special interview segment. Over to you, Wildman! Wildman: Thank you, JR! I am here tonight with JOHNNY VALENTINE, who has asked for time to comment on the situation which took place last week at Adrenaline after his match with "BIG DADDY" ELMER. Before we here from Johnny, let's take a look at the video from that incident. The Heartlandtron displays footage from the match at Richfield Coliseum between Elmer and Valentine. In spite of the pummeling, Valentine got to his feet and staggered back to the locker room as Elmer laughed and swung his chain.
Elmer: Run, boy, run! Run like the yellow dog that you are!
Valentine turns and points ominously at Big Daddy. Heenan and his family laugh at Valentine as he departs.Valentine: Now you listen here, "Big Daddy", or whatever you wanna call yourself this week. Nobody disrespects Johnny Valentine like that! I am going to the Commissioner's office TONIGHT, and I am demanding a rematch with you for Heartland Havoc XXI! You may think you're a big daddy now, but the next time I get my hands on you, you'll be screaming "UNCLE" all over again! Wildman: Strong words from Johnny Valentine! We'll see if Commissioner Luke grants his request for a match against Elmer at Havoc. Back to you, JR! ANTONIO INOKI vs. "BULLET" BOB ARMSTRONGAnother upset took place in Canton tonight as Bob Armstrong arrived with his game face on, and took the measure of Inoki. Armstrong caught a couple of near-falls in the early going, but Inoki fought his way back and nearly finished Armstrong with a Bow and Arrow. But Armstrong reached the ropes and Nick Patrick forced Inoki to break the hold. Armstrong came back with a vengeance, seizing the momentum with a series of cross-body blocks and finishing Inoki with a powerful Knee Lift! WINNER: "BULLET" BOB ARMSTRONG(Armstrong pinned Inoki with a Knee Lift)JR: What a performance tonight by Bob Armstrong! A very impressive match indeed as the Bullet secures the win over the Japanese superstar. KING KONG BUNDY vs. GIANT BABABundy still appeared to be a step slow after his Last Man Standing match with Hacksaw Duggan. Baba took advantage, chopping down the 446-pound behemoth and scoring a clean pinfall! WINNER: GIANT BABA(Baba pinned Bundy after a Leg Drop)After the decision, Baba left the ring as Bundy took a few moments to recever. As Bundy got to his feet, HACKSAW JIM DUGGAN stormed down to ringside wearing a neck brace and having his ribs taped heavily. Bundy looked shocked as Duggan bellowed "HEY-OOOOO!" Duggan ripped off his neck brace and tore away the tape from his ribs, then chased Bundy out of the ring area with his 2X4. Bundy escaped, and Duggan grabbed a microphone.Duggan: Ol' Hacksaw is back, Bundy, and I'm comin' to git ya! HEY-OOOOO! JR: Wow! Hacksaw Jim Duggan is back! No question, it looks like he's not finished with Bundy. The Last Man Standing match was an incredible bout, and I wasn't sure either man would survive. But now, both men are back to action and it appears that the carnage will continue! TEAM CANADA (THE MOUNTIE & ANGELO MOSCA) vs. BLOODLUST (DRAKE YOUNGER & JUSTIN CREDIBLE)In a competitive and often heated confrontation, the Canadians and Bloodlust battled fiercely for over 25 minutes. Despite wrestling hurt, Younger fought gamesly and nearly had Mosca pinned after a Drake's Landing Vertebreaker. But Mountie disrupted the count, saving his partner, and drawing Credible into the ring. As Nick Patrick sent Credible out of the ring, the Canadians walloped Younger with a double-team gutbuster. Mountie escaped just as Patrick turned his attention back to the bout, in time to see Mosca cover Younger for the pinfall. WINNERS: TEAM CANADA(Mosca pinned Younger after a double-team gutbuster)JR: Looks like the Canadians got the best of that situation. No question about it, Team Canada are your winners tonight, but those two men called Bloodlust are definitely not a pair you'd ever want to meet in a dark alley. Now, fans, we will head to the Main Event. The KILLER BEES are set for a match to determine who will qualify to wrestle in the Contenders' Match for the NWA World Tag Team Titles. As you may recall, the Heartland Tag Team Champions, LARRY ZBYSZKO and OX BAKER, were removed from this competition when Baker was suspended. So, in their place, the team of BOBBY EATON and STAN LANE have been selected for tonight's qualifying match. Let's head to the ring- Before JR can complete his introduction, LARRY ZBYSZKO storms to ringside and takes a seat at the announcers' table beside JR. Zbyszko puts on a headset and begins to rant.Zbyszko: JR, do you believe this? This is a total crock. After 25 glorious years in this sport, my chance at a world championship is wasted because that hayseed Commissioner had to stick his nose where it didn't belong. And after stirring up that mess, the Midnight Express get rewarded with OUR spot in this tournament! I am not happy about this, JR. Now I'm just here tonight to watch this match, but if the Midnight Express gets out of hand- especially that little punk DENNIS CONDREY- then it will be a sad trip to Larry Land for that loser! JR: Strong words indeed for Condrey and the Midnights, Larry. Now, let's head to the ring for the Main Event! MAIN EVENT: NWA WORLD TAG TEAM CHAMPIONSHIP: QUALIFYING MATCH THE MIDNIGHT EXPRESS (STAN LANE & BOBBY EATON w/ JIM CORNETTE) vs. THE KILLER BEES (B. BRIAN BLAIR & JIM BRUNZELL)The Midnights dominated the Bees, and specifically Jim Brunzell. Despite the repeated efforts of Blair, both Lane and Eaton pummeled Jumpin' Jim. Nick Patrick was too smart for the Masked Confusion, and a dazed Brunzell walked right into a Superkick from Lane and it was lights out! WINNERS: THE MIDNIGHT EXPRESS(Lane pinned Brunzell after a Superkick)As the Midnight Express celebrated their victory, they were joined in the ring by Jim Cornette. DENNIS CONDREY came down to the ring to join the celebration, but Zbyszko left the announcers' table to confront Condrey at ringside! A shouting match developed between the two men, which quickly came to blows! Before any of the backstage security personnel could respond, Lane and Eaton jumped into the fray and began a 3-on-1 beatdown of Zbyszko as Cornette shouted his encouragement! The beatdown on Zbyszko drew BOBBY HEENAN from the locker room accompanied by BIG DADDY ELMER. Elmer immediately took charge of the situation, tossing Midnights left and right as Heenan and Cornette got into a shouting match! Elmer knocked Eaton to the floor with a massive headbutt, then picked up Lane and powered him overhead, preparing to hurl him into the crowd as Zbyszko and Condrey continued to brawl.JR: BIG DADDY ELMER is here! Look at that man go! He is dominating this situation and the Midnights are in BIG trouble now! Before Elmer could finish off Lane, JOHNNY VALENTINE sprinted in from backstage and slammed Elmer across the back with a double axe-handle! Elmer dropped Lane, sending him sprawling, while Elmer himself was knocked to his knees. Valentine continued his assault on Elmer, jumping on his back and pummeling him across the back of the head with his fists. BIG JIM THE ENFORCER arrived on the scene, along with Senior Official Joe Kopasz, to assist Nick Patrick in trying to get the situation under control, but the brawl spilled throughout the Civic Center. When Elmer went down, Heenan shouted to the back to summon RAY "CRIPPLER" STEVENS to come to his aid. Stevens pulled Valentine off the back of Elmer and landed a hard right hand to Johnny's head, putting him on the ground. Before Stevens could take advantage, GREG "THE HAMMER" VALENTINE sprinted in from the locker room and tackled Stevens to the floor. Stevens and the Hammer began to brawl in the aisle as Johnny Valentine made it back to his feet and returned to slugging it out with Big Daddy. JR: Oh, my goodness! Greg the Hammer Valentine has come to the aid of his father! This situation is getting completely out of control! Cornette tried desperately to gather his troops and escape from the melee. Eaton and Lane pulled their manager to safety, but by this point Condrey was still on the floor being savaged by Zbyszko. Cornette waved his arms furiously, calling out KING KONG BUNDY to come to the aid of Condrey. But before Bundy could make it to ringside, he was intercepted on the entry ramp by HACKSAW JIM DUGGAN! Duggan smashed a 2X4 across the massive back of Bundy. Bundy was unfazed by the blow, but turned to face Duggan, who grabbed Bundy by the shoulders and threw him to the ground! Bundy hit the ground and rolled down the ring ramp, being pursued by Duggan who stomped away at the big man!As Bundy and Duggan brawled on the ramp, the Midnights managed to extract Condrey from his predicament and pull him to safety. Greg Valentine escaped from Stevens long enough to pull his father away from Big Daddy Elmer, and Stevens moved to restrain Big Daddy. Heenan and Cornette stepped between the brawlers, as Big Jim the Enforcer corraled Zbyszko and the referees jumped in to pull apart Duggan and Bundy. After over 15 minutes of wild brawling, cooler heads prevailed, and one by one, each of the factions was ushered back to the locker room area.JR: Wow! Fans, thank goodness for the Heartland Security Team and the hard-working referees! That situation had completely broken down. There must have been 12 or 13 men brawling all over Canton as the animosity has overflowed here in the Heartland! Fans, I have NO IDEA what will happen next, but you can rest assured that Commissioner Luke will be looking at this situation very closely between now and Friday night. That's right, ladies and gentlemen, Heartland Havoc XXI is coming up on Friday, so expect a major announcement about the card. Stay tuned for your monthly NWA Heartland Podcast this week! I have just been informed that the matches for Havoc will be announced on the Podcast! I do know that two of the matches have already been signed, as THE MIDNIGHT EXPRESS will duel with THE NEW AGE OUTLAWS for the right to a match for the NWA World Tag Team Championship! Also, Heartland Heavyweight Champion BRUISER BRODY will be at Havoc to defend his belt against the upstart, TITO SANTANA. Santana has been on fire, but the champion is a formidable foe indeed, and Tito will have his work cut out for him. Fans, I think we have finally managed to settle the situation in the ring, so we will sign off now and be back in action for Havoc XXI on Friday night. Until then, fans, so long from the Buckeye State! INJURY LISTDELIRIOUS: Severe Injury through card 175 HILLBILLY JIM: Severe Injury through card 177

NWA Heartland Havoc XXI: Heartland Comes of Age Quicken Loans Arena, Cleveland, Ohio November 7, 2008 The show opens with JR JAMES in the ring, decked out in a LeBron James jersey and holding a microphone. He addresses the packed house at "The Q".JR: Good evening, fans, and welcome to Heartland Havoc XXI! We are honored to bring you this evening's special Pay-per-View event. Special thanks to the good people of Cleveland for their hospitality in providing us with such a high-class facility! We have a number of special guests joining us tonight, dignitaries from Cleveland and from around the US as Heartland Wrestling has taken the nation by storm! At ringside this evening, Cleveland Cavaliers superstar LEBRON JAMES. LeBron is accompanied tonight by WWE superstar Carlito! Oops... my mistake, fans, LeBron is accompanied tonight by his teammate ANDERSON VAREJAO! Also, a special welcome to Cleveland native and Hollywood actress, a member of the elite group of Bond Girls... let's hear it for HALLE BERRY! And last, but not least, in the Executive Skybox this evening, say hello to Heartland Commissioner COUSIN LUKE!The spotlight shines on the skybox, where Luke appears startled as MISS BERTHA hops off of his lap. Bertha is enjoying a foot-long chili-cheese dog, which she drops into her lap as she scrambles to her feet. She smiles broadly, both of her teeth glistening in the spotlight as she wipes a spot of chili off of her chin. Luke acknowledges the fans with a nod as Bertha waves enthusiastically. As Luke and Bertha greet the fans, the back door of the skybox bursts open. BIG DADDY ELMER and KING KONG BUNDY burst in, pummeling each other with punches and kicks. Elmer plasters Bundy with a powerful head butt! Bundy staggers back and crashes through the buffet table! Hot dogs and pork rinds fly through the air. Bundy gets to his feet, his face and chest covered in baked beans. He picks up a bucket of collard greens and dumps it over the head of the charging Elmer. Elmer is blinded momentarily, and Bundy grabs him by the back of the neck. Bundy shoves Elmer face-first into a tub of grits!Angered by the interruption, Miss Bertha grabs Bundy by the collar and hurls him out the back door of the skybox. She turns to Elmer, grabs him by the ear, and hauls him to the doorway as Elmer squeals. Bertha plants her foot on the generous backside of Big Daddy Elmer and shoves him out into the hallway. She slams the door shut and returns to the window of the skybox, smiling and waving at the fans.JR: She's no Sarah Palin... but I believe we have just anointed the First Lady of Heartland Wrestling! Greetings from Commissioner Luke and Miss Bertha to all you great fans in attendance here tonight! Fans, the show tonight is LOADED with thee intense grudge matches and two important bouts with championship implications! In our main event this evening, Heartland Heavyweight Champion BRUISER BRODY will defend his title against the upstart #1 contender, TITO SANTANA. Now, let's head to the ring for our opening contest! (Tonight's referee: Joe Kopasz)SPECIAL CHALLENGE MATCH: NO DISQUALIFICATION LARRY ZBYSZKO (w/ BOBBY "THE BRAIN" HEENAN) vs. DENNIS CONDREY (w/ JIM CORNETTE)This match started ugly and quickly turned into a bloodbath! Zbyszko took advantage of the early chaos and caught Condrey off guard, levelling him with a spinning back kick to take control. Larry then unleashed all of his fury, pulling the pad off the turnbuckle and slamming Condrey repeatedly into the steel buckle! Condrey was busted open and bled severely from the forehead. Cornette jumped into the ring, swinging his racket wildly at Zbyszko, but referee Joe Kopasz refused to allow Cornette to interfere. Heenan summoned RAY STEVENS to ringside to protect his man. Stevens threw Cornette from the ring and handcuffed him to the security railing! Before Stevens could do any further damage, STAN LANE and BOBBY EATON dashed to ringside. Eaton chased Stevens to the back as Lane struggled with Cornette to try and release him from the cuffs. Condrey battled back into the match gamely. Wearing the proverbial crimson mask, Condrey was able to shove Zbyszko off the middle turnbuckle and quickly stun him with a flying elbow! Dennis then took to the skies, nailing Zbyszko was a series of flying manuvers and leaving the "Living Legend" nearly unconscious on the mat! This brought Heenan into the ring, but Condrey saw him coming and decimated the Brain with a vicious clothesline! As Zbyszko staggered to his feet, Condrey dropped him with a Face First Leg Sweep and covered him for a three-count! WINNER: DENNIS CONDREY(Condrey pinned Zbyszko after a Face First Leg Sweep)JR: That was brutal! Zbyszko was sadistic in his treatment of Condrey. But the Loverboy proved he is a fighter, too! One match, and already the Quicken Loans Arena is a bloody mess! Kudos to Condrey for prevailing in that situation. This rivalry between the respective factions of Msrs. Cornette and Heenan is heating up indeed, as evidenced by the brawl in the skybox! SPECIAL CHALLENGE MATCH: NO DISQUALIFICATION JOHNNY VALENTINE & GREG "THE HAMMER" VALENTINE vs. BIG DADDY ELMER & RAY "CRIPPLER" STEVENS (w/ BOBBY "THE BRAIN" HEENAN)Another wild brawl tore apart the arena! Big Daddy and Johnny started this match and immediately attempted to tear each other limb from limb! The two battled furiously for several minutes, with neither man gaining a distinct advantage. Finally, Johnny caught Elmer with the Atomic Skullcrusher, and the big man was forced to exit the ring and tag out to Stevens. As Elmer returned to the ring apron, guest commentator Hillbilly Jim stood and applauded Valentine. This drew the ire of Big Daddy, who made a move on Jim at ringside, but BIG JIM THE ENFORCER intercepted Elmer and sent Jim back to his seat. Bobby the Brain entered the fracas, but the Enforcer quickly dispatched him back to his position on the other side of the ring. Meanwhile, Johnny Valentine tagged out to the Hammer. Stevens and Hammer engaged in a long struggle for control, with neither man giving an inch. The Hammer chopped away at Stevens, who fired back with brawling punches. The battle continued until both Johnny and Elmer were tagged back into the ring. Still filled with fire, Elmer took the advantage on Valentine. After dropping him hard to the mat with a two-handed choke lift, Elmer squashed Johnny with a Hillbilly Splash. It looked like the end for Johnny, but Greg dove into the ring to make the save and the match continued. Hammer tagged back in to the match, and hurled Elmer out of the ring to the arena floor, where he clocked the big biker with the ring bell! Elmer was out on his feet, and Greg was able to roll him back into the ring and finish him off for the victory! WINNERS: JOHNNY VALENTINE & GREG "THE HAMMER" VALENTINE(Hammer pinned Elmer after a Falling Elbow Hammer)Hillbilly Jim: Hahahaha! Serves y'all right! That "Big Daddy" ain't nuttin but a momma's boy! He cain't win nuttin', even with a weasel helpin; him! JR: No question the frustration for Elmer continues. Already tonight he's taken a beating from Greg Valentine and a beating from King Kong Bundy. But the worst beating of all had to be the one administered by Miss Bertha! Jim: She's a fiesty lil' ol' filly, ain't she? JR: Indeed. Let's head back to the ring! Hillbilly Jim departs from ringside, still noticably hobbled as the fans cheer him on. NWA WORLD TAG TEAM CHAMPIONSHIP: #1 CONTENDERS' MATCH THE MIDNIGHT EXPRESS ("SWEET" STAN LANE & "BEAUTIFUL" BOBBY EATON w/ JIM CORNETTE) vs. THE NEW AGE OUTLAWS (BG & KIP JAMES)After two tremendously brutal matches, the Outlaws and the Midnights changed the tone of the arena with a hard-fought and crisply executed tag team encounter. Both teams worked effectively, as the Outlaws capitalized on Kip's power to weaken their foes, while Eaton and Lane isloated each of the James boys for extended periods. The match turned when the Midnights caught BG with a Double Goozle and a near fall. BG was forced to tag out to Kip, who entered the ring on fire! Kip dropped Eaton with the Fame-Asser, but Cornette distracted Joe Kopasz to interrupt the pinfall. With Kopasz occupied, Lane went to the top rope and assisted Eaton with a powerful Veg-O-Matic which led to the pinfall victory for the Midnights! WINNERS: THE MIDNIGHT EXPRESS(Eaton pinned Kip after a Veg-O-Matic)JR: Fans, that is just the kind of action that makes the Heartland the Tag Team capital of the NWA! The Midnights wrestled a brilliant match, and now will advance to face THE ROAD WARRIORS for the NWA World Tag Team Championship! But as beautiful as that match was, the tide is about to turn again as we are about to witness another hotly contested feud in the Heartland's first-ever Corporal Punishment Match! CORPORAL PUNISHMENT MATCH KING KONG BUNDY vs. "HACKSAW" JIM DUGGANThe hostilities between Bundy and Duggan picked up right where they left off! Although both men were armed with leather straps, they seemed to prefer the fisticuffs from the outset. The punches flew hard and heavy, inside the ring and out. Early on, Bundy caught Duggan with a sucker punch as he returned to the ring and he went down hard. Bundy immediately went to the Avalanche! Hacksaw was in bad shape, but managed to get his foot on the rope to break the count. Duggan took the opportunity to fire back with his leather strap, hitting Bundy on the left leg and opening a nasty gash. Bundy fired back, lashing Duggan across the back with the strap. Hacksaw was staggered, and walked right into a massive Bundy Bear Hug! Duggan struggled to break free, but he was out of gas and Bundy put him away with another Avalanche and a 5-count. WINNER: KING KONG BUNDY(Bundy pinned Duggan after an Avalanche)After the pinfall, neither man had the desire to end the battle! Bundy and Duggan continued to wail away at each other with the straps. Cornette brought his tennis racket into the ring. Bundy held Duggan by the arms as Cornette swung the racket! Duggan ducked away just in time, and Cornette barely missed hitting Bundy with the racket! Duggan went to retrieve his 2X4, but Joe Kopasz tried to prevent him from returning to the fracas. Duggan shoved Kopasz to the side and stormed back into the ring, swinging the 2X4 wildly! Bundy and Cornette scattered, and escaped before Duggan could get his licks in.JR: Wow! That situation continues to intensify. I fear for the safety of both those men- and anyone who gets between them, as Joe Kopasz learned at the end of that match. Finally, fans, we have reached the Main Event! BRUISER BRODY is prepared to defend his Heartland Heavyweight Title against the upstart challenger, TITO SANTANA. There is no question that Tito has a hard row to hoe here this evening. Can he pull the upset? Let's head back to the ring to find out. MAIN EVENT: NWA HEARTLAND TAG TEAM CHAMPIONSHIP BRUISER BRODY (c) vs. TITO SANTANAIn a main event which far exceeded expectations, Tito Santana came within a whisker of unseating Bruiser Brody for the Heartland Heavyweight Championship! Tito opened the match with a flurry, keeping Brody off balance with a series of dropkicks and pinning combinations. Santana scored a couple of near-falls, but Brody finally broke the momentum by nailing Tito with a boot to the face as he charged into the turnbuckle. Brody pounded on Santana and drove him hard into the canvas with a one hand body slam. But Tito slipped out the back door of an attempted spinebuster and nearly pinned Brody with a sunset flip! Brody powered out, but Santana immediately wrapped him into a Figure-4 leglock! Bruiser fought and struggled and was on the verge of tapping out when he finally reached the ropes. When Santana was forced to break the hold, Brody immediately slid out of the ring for a breather. Santana kept the pressure on, pursuing Brody out of the ring, but Brody caught Santana with a vicious clothesline on the arena floor and nearly turned him inside out! Brody slid back into the ring, and Tito was lucky to beat the 10-count. Once Santana got back into the ring, Brody immediately greeting him with a big boot to the face and completed the pinfall. WINNER: BRUISER BRODY(Brody pinned Santana after a big boot to the face)BRUISER BRODY RETAINS THE HEARTLAND HEAVYWEIGHT CHAMPIONSHIPJR: What a match! No question, it appeared on more than one occasion that Brody's title was in danger. But Bruiser held off his challenger to maintain his stranglehold on that championship. Who will step up next to try and end this dominant reign? Fans, it has been a most intense and entertaining evening here in Cleveland tonight, and we do thank you for joining us! We're gonna give the boys the night off on Monday, but we'll be back on Friday Night, November 14, with our next episode of Fury! Until then, fans, so long from the Buckeye State!
