PRE-ORDER MADNESS THOUGHTS (*SPOILER ALERT*)

I figured since I have been kinda absent from the boards recently, I would return with a bang rather than a whimper...so, here are my impressions of the newest arrivals to the GWFZ...

CROW SE: This guy has been toned down to meet the criteria of Filsinger's rules but not by much! I love the art for this legend and think he will be just freakin' awesome to have in the fed...plus, a great way to dedicate a creation to one of the community's legends. (****).

CARSON P. CENTURY: A kewl addition to the fed...kinda get a "Doctor Who" feel to him and this is a really unique idea...no one knows where he will show up next and if a promoter plays it out where he actually lands in time- fed history could be changed (in theory at least). (***).

HONEY BUNNY: Love the fact that HB is now a 'diva' in the Glamazon mold... always liked this character and glad that she can go off and get her own gold...KnockOut Championship is in her future-heed my words! (****).

JACK RABBID: Man...this dude has issues! Love the "Johnny Darko" look to the dude and I can see him possibly putting the HARE STOMP'N to the human dressed like a turtle Shell Shocker (at least in my fed, he's human). No longer will everyone hear about how the hare lost...cuz this guy is a bad ass! (***).

NEMEAN: I can understand why Nemean has appeared in the 'Z' and love the fact that he has become the mouthpiece for the Headliners and Parox but...not too sure I like him in the developmental fed...(Sorry, just being honest).(**).

LONESTAR: The jury is out on this one still...however love the finishers! (**).

NIGHTMERICA: This guy is just plain mean! One of those guys that you don't want to meet in an alley in the dark (or even in a well lit area) and have a feeling he will be involved in some of the bloodiest hardcore bouts in the history of the 'Z'. (** 1/2).

PITCH BLACK: A scorpion ani-woman at first didn't appeal to me but is slowly starting to bring a grimace across my face (either that or it's the Taco Bell I had earlier this evening...teehee)...she has the possibility of being extremely nasty and is a threat to the KnockOut Championship. (** 1/2).

TIBERiUS COTA: W-O-W! Easily me favorite singles star to come out of this edition...trained by Paragon and is just arrogant as hell! Nemean better not quite his color commentary because this Janus native is going to put the Ravager in the FALL OF THE REPUBLIC and possibly shut the Ravager's trap once and for all. (****).

VENUSIAN GUARD: What can I say besides....ouch! These two are freakin' awesome and with their tag chart are even more awesomer (yeah, I made the word up...). These guys should climb through the rankings and capture gold before the first quarter of their tenure has passed by. (****).

P.O.W. UPDATES:

DARK STAR CREATURE: OMG! The King of the Cage is back...I won't go to much in detail on what my oldest thinks of this new card because of we're a lil' biased...but DSC is a beast in the MMA Striking category. (***).

DOCTOR PAYNE: A great addition to the MMA and he could pull a few upsets... I like this guy but more a s a wrestler...(**).

NURSE ELIZABETH: Sweet...how come no nurses ever look this good when I am hospitalized?!??! I always get like the Rotunda look-a-like....anyway, I digress...nice to have more talent in the KnockOut division. (**).

TOURNAMENT MASTER: TM's dominance has come to an end...MMA is going to be the downfall of one of my fav 'Z' characters...sorry Todd...love the art...(***).

Overall, it was a great set by everyone involved and I would like to thank Rob and the others for this fantastic edition to the 'Z'...

Now one thing I might contrast is that the GWFZ is the developmental fed. I don't really think it's that anymore. It's more like ROH to the WWE than say FCW is to the WWE

cool reviews TK! I'll throw my hat in as well with my review of the new set! (***** = high score)

CROW SE: What can I honestly say about this card? A great tribute to Jamie! The minor changes were good changes, and I'm glad it was more of "tweeks" than changes. The art was just "ok" for me. Not my favorite art of Werner's. Guess it's hard to do something different with something that was great previously. Overall, happy with it! (***)

CARSON P. CENTURY: In my opinion, one of my favorite cards of the set! Love the simplicity of the card and the time travel mechanics. A great character and a great way to revisit some of the older sets that we probably don't play on regular basis anymore! His multiple finishers to roll on is a nice touch. Basic, simple moves that can get the job done! Nice touch. (****)

HONEY BUNNY: All I can say about her is WOW!!! I never thought she was going to be this powerful! What a knockout as well. Sort of a cross between Beth Phoenix and Brute of 2091! Killer stats that is going to make her most likely the most dominate female to ever grace the square circle! Great art, great card. (****)

JACK RABBID: I really like this guy, because he's not "over the top". Good midcarder that I think will surprise a few people, pulling out some big wins. He's beatable, but I think he will sneak by a win or two and will be very fun to play given his background of being a twisted soul! (*** 1/2)

NEMEAN: I like the card mechanically. I think he will be one of the tougher guys to beat truthfully. As he should be, he's been in the ring for a while now and he adds so much to his new teammates! I think he'll be fun to write and play. Art wasn't my favorite of the set, but I would be interested to see what he'd look liked in full color! (**)

LONESTAR: I like the art for her very much. I like that tattoo on her shoulder "Stay Strong"! Stat wise, I think she'll be ok, but she has some stiff competition in the women's division. Honey Bunny, Pitch Black and the new Nikki card are going to give her fits, but that's what I like the most about this card, is I can see myself cheering her on for that big win! (***)

NIGHTMERICA: Honestly, when I read his story in the booklet, I wasn't feeling it. I wasn't sure I totally "got it"?! But one thing I do like, is the art!!! When I saw the stats, I'm like, "holy shit! He's going to have some great matches with Pride!!!" Love the stats, think they're very sound and should be interesting to see how he plays out with the rest of the roster! (**)

PITCH BLACK: Is it wrong to say "she's HOT!!" ? Werner nailed the art for this one! Love everything about it. Stats are sound, should be very stiff competition for Honey Bunny when using her stinger! I think she's my favorite female of the set overall. (****)

TIBERiUS COTA: This guy is cool. I love how he comes across as arrogant, but at the same time, very regal a good technical wrestler! I think he will be one of the ones to really watch out for in the Z, as he could knock you off in a heartbeat! He could definitely become one of my favorites if he gets on a roll and performs up to his abilities! (*** 1/2)

VENUSIAN GUARD: These guys are my absolute FAVORITE of the set! I LOVE THEM!!! Love the look, the artwork is fantastic! The stats are awesome. Love the tag team finisher chart, that's like break out material right there! And the fact that they remind me of Batista and Orton are even more reason for me to love them, as those two are my recent favorites of the WWE! I can't wait to bring them into my Z! (*****)

P.O.W. UPDATES:

DARK STAR CREATURE: I really like that DSC is making a come back, and what an impact he'll have inside that steel cage! Great wrestling stats, not bad MMA. I think I'm more intrigued to try him out in the MMA than the wrestling ring!? I can definitely see him facing off against the likes of Rubicon! That would be brutal! Overall, very pleased with how he turned out, both artistically and mechanically. (****)

DOCTOR PAYNE: BRING THE PAYNE! This guy is a perfect fit for the POW! I love the action pose for the art! That's one of Werner's best that I've seen, really hit a homerun in my opinion. Like the stats, not a major upgrade or anything, but just enough to get him over! He too, I'm really interested in getting in the MMA! I think he will be good, but beatable! That's fun to me! (*****)

NURSE ELIZABETH: Wow, I have to second TK's comments, I wish I had nurses who looked that good!!! I think she is very kick ass! Better than I thought she'd be when I first heard she was getting a card! I think she'll be a force to reckon with in the Ladies division and can't wait to see how she does. Love the action pose with the kicking action! That, I can see her underwear! LOL (****)

TOURNAMENT MASTER: Good update! Not a big fan of the art, as I think he looks weird in a t-shirt haha. (Sorry Todd, had to say it) But I do like the title belts hanging in the background, that's a nice touch. I think this guy is going to make some major waves in the POW, and add yet another piece of gold to his collection this year!!! Overall, really dig the card, looking forward to playing him in the POW! (*** 1/2)

So there you have it. That's my thoughts on the set. Good set of cards, some good stories and original concepts. And simple, yet creative! Can't ask for more than that! I give the entire set (****) overall. Thanks again for a great set, I can't wait to bring these baddies into battle!

I really like each character, this is another excellent Z product and great work to all who worked on these cards...

I run my GWFZ as sort of a feeder fed to my GWF and some of my superstars in my GWF are still officialy in the GWFZ so they make frequent stops back on GWFZ cards in main events and such anyway I havnt Debuted all the new wrestlers as of yet but I will review who I have used thus Far

Venusian Guard I really like this team and LOVE their finisher Chart I think its very inventive to see them able to change into different varaitions they won their Debut match with Shukra being the stand out star so far

Jack Rabbit I gotta say at first I was alittle uneasy with him but I like him being crazy he basicly Squashed CPC in their Debut match

Carson P Century he was squashed in his debut match aginst Jack Rabbit but I think his story is really neat and I can see alot coming from him in the future

Lone Star her debut match ended up in a double DQ and she really didnt show much to me and to be honest I am unsure what I'm gonna do with her

Honey Bunny she wrestled lone star in the Double DQ match she's powerful and gonna be a major force to be reckoned with I really am loving her character more so now that she wrestles

Last But not least Pitch Black I am a big Fan of the Animen and an even bigger fan of womens wrestling I am glad to see that they are bringing in the women from andromeda into the scene now She has yet to wrestle but she has came in with a bang including getting rid of minitour attacking him during a promo opening the show by kicking him in the stomach and bashing him over the head with her tail when he doubled over then injecting him with venom from her stinger shes set to make her in ring debut in a mixed tag match next show she's becoming such a powerful force I might have her do double duty and focus on wrestling in the GWFZ and she might make her way to managing the animen in my GWF unsure of that yet to soon to tell

I also added The Flock into the GWFZ because I heard so much about them and I loved the concept they wanted to join the animen but pitch black thought they were far to tame to be assioiated with her team that was just the skit they have yet to wrestle they will also be debuting next show
