CONGRATS TO KIRBY!Kirby Van Vliet has an awesome story fans! In his own words: Just put my order in. Very cool promotion indeed. Definitely sucked me in. This will be my first non LOW/LOTF purchase, so good job guys. Now I guess I'll need to take advantage of that $50 deal mentioned earlier to get caught up on GWFZ. And he wins!!! If that isn't a damn good story I don't know what is! I admit when Todd called me with the winner I cheered a little inside when Todd read me this quote from Kirby a couple of weeks back. Welcome to the GWFZ Kirby! Can't wait to see what kind of character you come up with! and for everyone else............ HUGE BREAKING NEWS!!! Long story short: With the way the cards are printed on the press (in sixes) it actually costs me a couple extra peanuts to do 6 cards vs. 4. So, since I'm feeling generous and for the same reason you are getting 18 playing cards vs. 14 or 15 in GWFZ InvaZion 2124, PRE-ORDER MADNESS will now have 6 winners.... Yes.........you just heard that right.... 6 WINNERS!!!!!!Be here this coming Sunday Night at 10pm where the ***FINAL 3 WINNERS*** will be announced!IT COULD BE YOU, YOU or even YOU!!! ORDER NOW AND WIN A CHANCE AT WINNING PRE-ORDER MADNESS! GWFZ InvaZion 2124 includes 14 playing cards plus a PDF game booklet and costs $12 including shipping and handling ($14 US from outside US and Canada). You can order by credit card, debit card, paypal, check, money order or cash.
To order by Paypal, credit card or debit card: 1. Log onto www.paypal.com 2. If you do not already have an account, create one. 3. Once logged in, make a payment of $12 ($14 US from outside North America) per set payable to tjoerchel@hotmail.com 4. In the message section of the payment, please include your name, delivery address and email address.
To order with check, money order or cash: Send and email to tjoerchel@hotmail.com with your name and address. Todd will email you back with the address to send in your payment.
GWFZ InvaZion 2124 is currently set to ship by February 2010. Order by January 31, 2010 and receive the limited edition NIGHTMARE NIKKI and DREAD PIRATE OF M83 cards for free. These EXCLUSIVE PLAYING CARDS will never be made available again. |

Holy you know what people!!! The first two weeks, I made sure to check this thread right away each Sunday, and this week I forgot untill I received an e-mail today telling me I won... How cool is that? Thanks to everyone for their congratualtions. I am VERY excited.
I just really discovered COTG and LOW/LOTF this past August at Gencon. I guess I've known a lil about it for a while, but never really looked into it which is starnge as I am a huge gamer and 30 year plus wrestling fan. It was definately LOTF that hooked me, but I've been really wanting to dive in to COTG as well, but wasnt sure where to begin. I guess I'm goin in feet first now huh?
I know there are alot of you out there that have been in to this game for a long long time and here I am a newcomer getting an opportunity you probably all dream of. Well, believe me when I say I totally respect that and will do my best to make you all proud. As of now, I have very little knowledge of COTG and its storylines, but that will change. I will say That I do have a background in wrestling as a fan and also as a ring announcer/play by play commentator on the Chicago Indy circuit. I'm also very into things like sci-fi, comic books, classical literature, asian cinema, all things geeky, so I have a wealth of inspiration to call upon.
If anyone has any suggestions of resources I can use to begin to familarize myself with the world of COTG (especially GWFZ, aCe, and POW) besides buying everthing that's been put out so far, please either post it here or send me a pm.
Again thanks to the fans and creators, I plan on having a helluva good time with this.
Kirby

COTG Files. That's your best bet for aCe and POW. As for GWFZ, well I did do reviews for the first 3 sets and LWPD has posted them in the resource section. I haven't got to do Bash yet (Waiting for InvaZion then I'll do them both) but just talk with Swarm or myself and I'm sure we can get you up to date quickly.
