Triple Crown Wrestling Saturday Morning Showdown - episode 8: The show opened with clips of Sabu vs. Masked Superstar II. It was announced that Sabu & Rob Van Dam would defend the TCW Tag Team titles against the Masked Superstars on Figure Four Friday! Curt Hennig vs. Koko B. Ware: Hennig was even more aggressive than usual, repeatedly wrenching Ware's neck. Hennig hit a HennigPlex but was too close to the ropes. Hennig continued his assault, knocking Ware senseless with a knee lift before hitting a second HennigPlex for the win. After the match, it was announced that Hennig was officially recognized as the #1 contender to Buddy Rogers' TCW Heavyweight title. Clips were shown of Angelo Mosca getting disqualified against Jim Londos last week. It was announced that the two would meet again this week on Figure Four Friday. The Hillbillies vs. The Love Brothers: Reginald and Hartford isolated Hillbilly Jim and wore him down with quick tags. Reginald hit two atomic drops before the Love Brothers put Jim away with the double slam. Clips were shown of the beatdown following Lewis & Danielson and McGuinness & Castagnoli, with emphasis on Jim Londos and the formation of the European Empire. It was announced that Lewis will be facing Castagnoli this week and that extra security would be employed to keep Lewis and Londos from interfering in one another's matches. D'Lo Brown vs. Chris Candido: Brown and Candido wrestled a fast paced match. Candido looked impressive in his TCW debut, rocking Brown with a brutal enzuigiri. Brown made a comeback and put Candido away with the Low Down. A video package aired detailing the war between the Age of the Fall and the Midnight Express over the past six weeks. It was announced that the two teams have agreed to a six man tag team match this Friday. If the Age of the Fall wins, Jimmy Jacobs gets a match with Jim Cornette in a barbed wire cage. If the Midnight Express wins, The Age of the Fall must disband for six months! Brent Albright vs. Terry Gordy: As the competitors were introduced, the announcers noted that Albright was the one to end Gordy's second reign with as the Ring of Victory Grand Champion. Albright took the fight to Bamm Bamm at the opening bell but couldn't phase the big man. Gordy went on the offensive, dropping Albright with two back suplexes and locking on the Oriental Spike. Albright made it to the ropes but was favoring his neck. Gordy whipped Albright to the buckles and Albright made a comeback, taking Gordy down and locking on the Sharpshooter. Gordy escaped the hold and Albright hit a big exploder suplex. Gordy got to his knees and Albright locked on the Crowbar! Gordy tried to roll through it but Albright rolled with it and applied more pressure. Triple Crown Wrestling Figure Four Friday - episode 8: Harley Race & Larry Hennig vs. Brian Kendrick & Paul London: Race and Paul London started the match. Race manhandled London and hit the diving headbutt for a near fall. Race hit a swinging neckbreaker but London got his foot on the ropes. London made a comeback and he and Kendrick hit the tossing dropkick for a near fall. Race shrugged off the attack and took Kendrick down and locked on the Indian Deathlock but Kendrick made it to the ropes. Race tagged in Hennig and Kendrick made a big comeback, hitting Sliced Bread #2 and tagging in London. London and Kendrick hit the assisted shooting star for a near fall. Kendrick softened Hennig up with a heel kick and he and London hit a second assisted shooting star for a near fall but Race made the save. Kendrick hit Sliced Bread #2 for a near fall and followed it up with the double foot stomp but Race made the save. Hennig took control and tagged in Race. Race hit a Piledriver on Kendrick but London made the save. Race locked on the Indian Deathlock but Kendrick made it to the ropes. Race hit a Piledriver but London made the save. Larry Hennig nailed London with The Axe, sending him tumbling to the floor. Race hit the swinging neckbreaker on Kendrick for the win.
Angelo Mosca vs. Jim Londos: Londos used his leverage advantage and threw Mosca to the mat early on, locking on the boston crab twice, weaking Big Nasty's legs. Mosca made a comeback and clamped on the abdominal stretch. Londos was clearly in agony but made it to the ropes. Mosca whipped Londos to the ropes and made the mistake of lowering his head. Londos kicked him in the face and threw him to the mat. Mosca rose to his feet and Londos hoisted him up in the Airplane Spin for the win. Mosca was furious after the loss and stomped away from ringside.
Nigel McGuinness vs. Chuck Taylor: Nigel and Taylor wrestled a fairly technical match. Nigel scored a near fall in the opening minutes with the corner to corner forearm strike. Taylor rebounded and nearly got an upset victory with the Enzuigiri. Nigel battled back and wore Taylor down with the London Dungeon and a short arm clothesline. Taylor was shaky when Nigel blasted him with the Jawbreaker Lariat for the win.
Strangler Lewis vs. Claudio Castagnoli: Lewis and Castagnoli fought back and forth. Castagnoli stayed near the ropes, foiling Lewis's attempts to lock on the Strangler's Headlock. Claudio hit the Ricola Bomb for a near fall but Lewis kicked out and went on the offensive. Lewis whipped Claudio to the buckles. Claudio moved out of the way and rolled up Lewis for the win.
After the match, Nigel McGuinness and Jim Londos came from the crowd, avoiding the security set up in the back. The three men triple teamed Lewis until Bryan Danielson hit the ring, followed by Angelo Mosca. Danielson and Mosca cleaned house, though Mosca was clearly an uneasy ally.
The Age of the Fall vs. The Midnight Express: Brodie Lee and Dennis Condrey started the match. Condrey took Lee to the mat with a face first leg sweep for the first near fall of the match. Condrey suplexed Lee across Bobby Eaton's knee. Lee rebounded and tagged in Tyler Black. Black hit an enzuigiri on Eaton for a near fall. Black went to the top and hit the Phoenix Splash but Eaton kicked out. Black tagged in Jacobs and Eaton made the hot tag to Lane. Lane and Condrey dropped Jacobs with the flapjack for a near fall. Condrey and Lane hit the double goozle, further weakening Jacobs. Lane hit a superkick, busting Jacobs open (OH NO!) The bloody Jimmy Jacobs shrugged off two superkicks, a face first leg sweep, and a vegomatic before making the tag to Brodie Lee. Lee whipped Dennis Condrey to the ropes and Condrey locked him up in a small package for a near fall. Condrey whipped Lee to the ropes and Lee speared him out of his boots for a near fall. Lee whipped Condrey into the steps, busting him open. Lee covered Condrey but Eaton made the save. Lee hit a running powerbomb for a near fall and tagged in Black. Black hit an enzuigiri for a near fall and then hit the Paroxym but Eaton made the save. Eaton and Condrey took control and hit the Vegomatic on Black for a near fall. Lane and Eaton hit the Flapjack and then the Vegomatic for the win.
As per the pre-match stipulation, The Age of the Fall are forbidden to team for six months!
Rob Van Dam & Sabu (with Bill Alphonso) vs. The Masked Superstars: Sabu and the Masked Superstar battled back and forth. Sabu threw Superstar out to the floor and bloodied him with a chair shot. The woozy Superstar was easy prey for the Camel Clutch. Superstar escaped the hold and Sabu went for the Triple Jump Moonsault... and missed! Superstar capitalized and locked on the Cobra Hold, wearing Sabu down. Superstar hit flying bodypress for a near fall and locked on the cobra hold a second time. Sabu made it to the ropes and Superstar tagged in II. Superstar II hoisted Sabu up in the Backbreaker and RVD was forced to make the save. Superstar locked the Backbreaker a second time and a wild brawl erupted. RVD cleaned house and Sabu tagged him in. RVD tried to go toe to toe with Masked Superstar II and paid the price. II locked on the reverse bearhug and RVD barely escaped the hold. II leveled RVD with a clothesline and got a near fall. Superstar II hoisted RVD up into the backbreaker and Bill Alphonso distracted the referee. II hoisted RVD up into the backbreaker again and RVD tapped out. The Masked Superstars are the TCW Tag Team champions!

Triple Crown Wrestling Saturday Morning Showdown - episode 9: the show opened, welcoming The Destroyer to the announce team to work alongside Eddie Fyne and Red Bastien. Konnan vs. Chuck Taylor: As the two combatants were being introduced, John Pesek took a front row seat at ringside. Konnan and Taylor fought back and forth. Taylor wrestled the match of his life, first rolling Konnan up with a small package for a near fall, then going on a rampage. Taylor blasted Konnan with an enzuigiri for a near fall and then hit the Awful Waffle for the win. After the match, Konnan got on the mic and said it was Pesek's fault he lost. Pesek rose to his feet but was cut off by security. A video package aired detailing the rivalry between the Age of the Fall and the Midnight Express, culminating in last Friday's six man tag match. It was announced that Jimmy Jacobs and Tyler Black would be competing in singles matches on Figure Four Friday while the Midnight Express would be taking on the Love Brothers. Rob Van Dam & Sabu vs. The Bolsheviks: RVD and Boris started the match. RVD quickly went on the offensive and scored near falls with the standing moonsault and the split legged moonsault. RVD tagged in Sabu and Sabu locked on the Camel Clutch but Volkoff made the save. Sabu went for a triple jump moonsault but missed. Volkoff took control and hit the backbreaker drop for a near fall. Sabu rallied and hit the Triple Jump Moonsault for the win. Clips of the growing menace of the European Empire was shown. It was announced that this Friday, Strangler Lewis would be teaming with Bryan Danielson & Angelo Mosca against the European Empire, Jim Londos, Claudio Castagnoli, and Nigel McGuinness. Mad Dog Vachon vs. One Man Gang: The two bruisers brawled all over the ring area, neither one able to secure the advantage. Gang speared Vachon out of his boots and hit the 747 for the win. Clips of Buddy Rogers and Curt Hennig were shown, hyping their title match this Friday. The announcers reminded the viewers that Hennig has defeated Rogers in non-title matches in the old LWF but never when the gold was on the line. Hennig was shown training with his father and Harley Race while Rogers was shown training with Bob Orton and Bobby Heenan. Les Thatcher vs. Ivan Koloff: Thatcher and Koloff battled back and forth. Thatcher looked impressive but had a hard time hurting the big Russian. Koloff grew frustrated and blasted Thatcher twice with the Russian Chain, busting him open. Triple Crown Wrestling Figure Four Friday - episode 9: The Midnight Express vs. The Love Brothers: The Express made the Love Brothers look way out of their league, isolating Hartford and wearing him down. Lane hit the flapjack and Eaton hit the Divorce Court for a near fall. The Midnight's hit the Vegomatic but Reginald made the save. Lane threw Eaton with the Rocket Launcher but again Reginald made the save. Lane and Eaton double clotheslined Reginald off the apron and hit a second Vegomatic for the win.
Don Leo Jonathan vs. Jimmy Jacobs: DLJ dominated the first few minutes, throwing Jacobs all over the ring area. Jacobs made a comeback and hit the diving senton for a near fall. Jacobs drilled DLJ with the railroad spike, busting him open. Jacobs whipped DLJ to the ropes and hit the spear for the upset win.
Steve Corino vs. Tyler Black: Black dominated Corino for the first five minutes of the match, scoring near falls with the superkick, the fireman's carry gutbuster, and the standing shooting star press. Corino made a comeback on the outside and hit a powerslam for a near fall. Corino hit the Old School Expulsion but Black kicked out. Corino hit a second Old School Expulsion but Black got his foot on the ropes. Corino spat on Black and hit the Old School Expulsion a third time for the win.
Brent Albright vs. D'Lo Brown: Brown was unusually agressive and threw Albright to the outside at the opening bell. Brown suplexed Albright on the ring steps and Albright barely beat the count. Brown took Albright down with a side slam and hit the moonsault for a much-needed win.
Rikidozan vs. Adrian Street: Rikidozan attacked Street like a shark at the opening bell, nearly knocking Street unconscious with Thunderous Chops. Rikidozan hit a forearm hammer to the already woozy Street but Street got his foot on the ropes. Street took control and whipped Rikidozan to the ropes but Rikidozan hit a brutal spear and nearly got the win. Street rolled out of the ring and slammed Rikidozan into the guardrail, taking control. Street locked on the cobra clutch but Rikidozan made it to the ropes. Street hit the Crucifix for a near fall and scored another near fall with a knee lift. Street hit a second crucifix for a near fall and threw Rikidozan to the floor. Rikidozan slammed Street into a table and threw him back into the ring. Rikidozan locked on the Boston Crab but Miss Linda got up on the apron as Street was tapping out. Rikidozan released the hold and chased Linda to the back. He returned to the ring and locked on the Boston Crab a second time for the win.
Strangler Lewis, Angelo Mosca, and Bryan Danielson vs. The European Empire: Lewis and Londos started the match. Londos locked on the short arm scissors but Lewis made it to the ropes. Lewis and Londos made some quick exchanges and Lewis took control, throwing Londos to the concrete. Lewis brutalized Londos on the concrete and tagged in Mosca. Mosca hit a football tackle on Londos for a near fall and locked on the Sleeper but McGuinness made the save. Londos tagged in Nigel and Mosca tagged in Danielson. Danielson and McGuinness battled back and forth. Danielson locked on the triangle choke and all hell broke loose. All six men brawled in the ring and the referee lost control. Two more referees arrived and fought to restore order. Danielson locked on the Triangle Choke a second time and Nigel tapped out.
Buddy Rogers (with Bobby Heenan) vs. Curt Hennig - TCW Heavyweight title match!: Hennig and Rogers fought back and forth. Rogers took control and whipped Hennig to the ropes but Hennig rolled him up in a small package for a near fall. Hennig hit a running knee lift for a near fall and followed it up with a running neck snap but Rogers kicked out. Bobby Heenan was pacing at ringside, beside himself. Hennig hit the HennigPlex for a near fall but was too close to the ropes. Hennig went to the top and hit a flying crossbody but Rogers managed to kick out. Hennig went to the top a second time but Heenan shook the ropes and Hennig fell back into the ring. Rogers took control and hit the jumping knee smash for a near fall. Rogers couldn't follow it up, instead taunting Hennig with slaps. Hennig retaliated with slaps of his own and regained control of the match. Hennig hit the rolling neck snap and looked to have Rogers beaten but Heenan got on the apron, distracting the referee. Hennig knocked Rogers senseless with the axe but Rogers got his foot on the ropes. Hennig hit the Axe a second time, knocking Rogers unconscious. Heenan entered the ring but the referee ejected him from ringside! Hennig hooked Roger's leg and hit the Hennig Plex for the win. Curt Hennig is the Triple Crown Wrestling Heavyweight Champion!
The show went off the air with Curt Hennig holding the belt high.

Great show but boy did I blow my picks.....DANG! I blew half of my picks too. I'm about done with Rogers in the main event for a while. I might have to bring in Bockwinkel so the Heavyweight belt quits jumping around so much.

Triple Crown Wrestling Saturday Morning Showdown - episode 10: The show opened with a video package hyping the TCW debut of Magnum TA next week on Showdown. Terry Gordy vs. Larry Sharpe: Gordy mauled Sharpe in under two minutes. Gordy wore Sharpe down with the Oriental Spike, nearly took his head off with a running lariat, and hit a second Oriental Spike for the win. After the match, Jim Cornette met Terry Gordy at ringside and walked to the back with him. Clips were shown of the six man tag team match between Lewis, Mosca, and Danielson vs. the European Empire. It was announced that Nigel McGuinness will step into the ring with Angel Mosca on the next episode of Figure Four Friday and has promised to take Mosca out! Paul London & Brian Kendrick vs. Danny Doring & Roadkill: Doring and Roadkill isolated London and wore him down. Doring scored near falls with the G-Spot Sweep and the Danaconda. Doring tagged in Roadkill and Roadkill went on the attack. London mounted a comeback and made the hot tag to Kendrick. Kendrick hit a tornado DDT for a near fall. Kendrick hit a second tornado DDT but Doring made the save. Kendrick and London wore Roadkill down with a series of quick tag. Kendrick hit Sliced Bread #2 but Doring made the save. Kendrick tagged in London and London hit the 450 for the win. Clips were shown of Konnan walking out on John Pesek weeks ago against Castagnoli and McGuinness, and also of Konnan losing to Chuck Taylor last week. It was announced that Konnan will lock up with John Pesek this week on Figure Four Friday! Adrian Street vs. D'Lo Brown: Street and Brown battled back and forth. Street took a beating but Brown couldn't put him away. Street made a comeback and scored a near fall with the crucifix. Street hit a running splash for a second near fall. Brown got back to his feet and Street hit a second crucifix but Brown kicked out once again. Street argued with the referee and then hit the Daffodil for the win. Clips were shown of Curt Hennig's title win over Buddy Rogers. The announcers commented on the front office's disapproval with Rogers in the main event slot and have waived his rematch clause. However, if Rogers and Orton can defeat Curt & Larry Hennig, Rogers will get his return match for the Triple Crown Wrestling Heavyweight title. Brodie Lee vs. The One Man Gang: Lee and the Gang pummeled one another with stiff strikes. After a few minutes, the Gang took the upperhand and got a near fall with the face first suplex. Gang went to the top for the 747... ... and missed! Lee took over and chokeslammed Gang. The One Man Gang struggled back to his feet and Lee nearly took his head off with a Big Boot. Instead of covering the Gang, Lee waited for the Gang to get back to his feet and nailed him with a second big boot for the win! next on Figure Four Friday: - Sabu & RVD vs. Ivan Koloff & Ray Stevens
