How do you operate more than one fed? Is there a shortcut? I have one that I want to run and several I just want to list results on.

It's not hard or anything. You just split your wrestlers up and go from there. If you want to run under a larger banner that's simple enough. I run an NWA promotion that then has the AWA, ECW, JPW and Mid-South under the NWA banner. There are 3 NWA World Titles that travel from area to area. Then each region has it's own belts. The talent can work more than one area at a time.

I don't run more than 1 separate fed. But in my LOW fed Major League Wrestling (MLW), I have a brand split. Because I am a really big WWE fan, I call my two brands RAW and Smackdown.
But unlike the WWE nowadays, my two brands are almost completely separate as wrestlers from one brand rarely show up on shows for the other brand and I still even have brand specific PPVs except for the 4 major PPVs each year (Wrestlemania, Summer Slam, Survivor Series, and the Royal Rumble) where wrestlers from both brands participate. I also hold annual drafts between my two brands (I actually just completed my second annual draft yesterday) to shake things up on my brand rosters.
I personally really liked doing the brand split because it allows me to use the majority of the LOW cards while keeping my rosters at a manageable level and keeps my fed completely interconnected. In fact, once I get caught up in all of my COTG feds and I really think that will happen later this year, I'm actually going to expand Major League Wrestling to include a third brand.

I run about 8 feds. My Maple Leaf & Forest City go hand in hand only due to Forest City is Maple Leaf's Developmental.
As far as the others I run them once or twice a month or whenever I have the time and run about 2-4 cards. I look at it as the footage that is sent to TV stations all over the world and those are run for the month before new footage is sent out. I then keep a log of the last date(s) there were shows and the major feuds or angles. It is actually very little paper work.
I will then sometimes have wrestlers either go to one of the various territories for good or they go for a few dates and then return to the previous fed. I also have guys who are journeymen and they travel all the time and don't stay in any one fed for long. Hope this helps a little?

I currently run 3 feds all under the same banner. My 3 "territories" are WCCW (West Coast Championship Wrestling), CSW (Central States Wrestling) and ECW (East Cost Wrestling). Once I get LOTF and Legends: International, I may open up a 4th fed from Japan. Not sure yet.
I play each fed seperately and am still in the beginning stages with lots of plans if I can ever find the time to play.

On a related subject, I want to start some more feds. Not sure on how the best way to do it. Right now I have one LOW fed (Brew City Wrestling), but want to expand it out to about 4 feds eventually, using the Maple Leaf Cards, the Memphis cards, some of the other bootleg cards, and the remainder of the LOW cards. Here is the part I'm not so sure on how to do:
For arguemnts sake, here are my feds:
1. Brew City Wrestling 2. Fed 2 3. Fed 3 4. Fed 4
How I want it to work is all 4 feds to work as "territories" under one big umbrella. I want each "territory" to have their own belts, and the wrestlers pretty much wrestle in their own territories. Then, I want to have World Championships that those titles are defended in all 4 territories whenever possible. So pretty much everyone stays in their territory, and the World Beltholders are the only ones that wrestle in multiple territories.
What would be the best way to establish the World Titles?
I'm not sure if my current Brew City Belts should be the World Titles or somehow I should establish new ones. I was thinking it may be harder to do something like this since only one fed is actually started, and the other 3 are in the works. Would love some input from the experts on the site here to see where I should go from here. Thank you in advance.

I tried running 2 feds under my NWA banner about a year ago, it didn't last long and now I'm back to just one big fed. I had a world champion, tag team, United States, Light Heavyweight, and Womens with each fed having a regional champion (National & North American). Once the next set comes out I'm gonna give it a try again because there will be just way too many people for one fed.

If you want to incorporate "all" the cards available, it's near impossible to run just 1 "fed" & as quick as I figured that one out, it took me weeks to figure out just how to "break things up" until I finally just sat on the floor with all my cards & came up with the following "rosters" for my 3 "promotions" where I pretty much try to keep wrestlers from the same era together:
LWF Championship Wrestling: RIKIDOZAN,DESTROYER,GIANT BABA,CRUSHER,DIPAOLO,BOCKWINKEL,BAKER,J VALENTINE,KOWALSKI,JONATHAN,YUKON ERIC,L HENNIG,HODGE,VACHONS,VALIANTS,M DIBIASE,ORTON SR.,ALBANO,BERRY,HUTTON,BRAZIL,STEVENS,RACE,ROCCA,VON GOERING,KOLOFF,SHEIK,FAROUK,BASTIEN,LYONS,ROGERS,MONGOLS,KANGAROOS,GOMEZ,MASCARAS
LWF Superstars: SNUKA,C HENNIG,G VALENTINE,MOSCA,RUDE,KILLER BEES,INOKI,HEENAN,BREZNIKOV,MARTEL,VIRGIL,ELLERING,HUMPERDINK,CORNETTE,BEEFCAKE,ZBYSKO,IRON SHEIK,MASKED SUPERSTAR,COWBOY BOB ORTON,MOUNTIE,MURACO,WARE,LUKE,MISSING LINK,DIBIASE,BRODY,DUGGAN,ROSE,SHARPE,JONES,MIDNIGHT EXPRESS,ROAD WARRIORS,ARMSTRONGS,BUNDY,WILLIAMS
LWF Adrenaline: SAVAGE-T,DORING,JAMES GANG,SAMOAN ISLAND TRIBE,SANDMAN,CORINO,SOUTH,SABU,SEVERN,RUPA,CREDIBLE,DIRGE,CANDIDO,PRICHARD,LIGER,TIGER MASK,TIMBER,BAGWELL,DDP,KONNAN
I run seperate "television"cards for each promotion, but feature wrestlers from all 3 on my "pay-per-view" cards.
Because their "history" was so limited & none really "fit" into the timelines I came up with, I decided against using Gotch,Hackenschmidt,Lewis,Londos,Ishmaelo,Martinez & Gorgeous George in any of my promotions, electing instead to create a "hall of fame" with those 7 wrestlers as the charter members.
As tempting as it is, I also do not use "bootlegs", though there are some real high quality ones out there.
When Legends of the Future gets released, I will incorporate those cards into the Adrenaline promotion & then as more cards are released, depending on what era the wrestler is from, I will "retire" existing wrestlers & introduce the new ones into the appropriate promotion.
Hope this helps-I did alot of research & found tons of useful info on Wikipedia-Enjoy!

Right now I'm in a transition phase. I'm going from two feds (AWA and Stampede) to four feds. Those being AWA, WWF (late 80's), ECW and New Japan.
I was thinking that my two bigger feds (AWA,WWF) would hold normal cards. But for ECW and Japan I would do every other card. Simply because they are smaller. I gotta' tell ya' I'm getting amped up about just thinking about all these new feds!
By the way, does anyone have a chart to determine when talent leaves for another territory? Or do you just play it by ear? I was however, thinking about doing a 'Special Attractions Chart". So many things, so little time. ;D

I tried running two feds simultaneously a couple times. I didn't have much luck with it. In fact, I've gone from running a huge fed to a much more streamlined one. I think once I build up a year of history for my AWF fed, I'll start another fed that runs in the same time frame and build some history for it using the neglected wrestlers. I'm enjoying the streamlined fed much more than my old one.
Don't let me stop you, though. I'm amazed at the promoters who can run more than one fed at a time and have it not feel like a second job.
