Show #18: 9/21/10 Bout #1: Tag Team Tournament Round 1 The Russians vs. Rick Rude & Bruiser Brody - Rude and Brody, who are not common tag team partners, looked better then their opponents, who normally tag up. Rude scored several early hard hitting blows on Volkoff, but it was Brody that took the match. Brody used a one handed body slam on Volkoff at 8:54 to advance his team. Bout #2: Harley Race vs. Killer Kowalski - These two old school veterans used their skills to try and grind their opponent into the mat. Killer was able to lock on his Stomach Claw deep and made Race give up. Race's stomach started to bruise immediately, as the finger marks were raised on the skin. Main EventBout #3: Tag Team Tournament Round 1 The Fabulous Kangaroos vs. The Miracle Violence Connection - The most talked about first round match-up has finally arrived. The final opening round bout saw the MVC try and use their power to dominate the 'Roos. The 'Roos turned to their underhanded tactics to keep them alive. Gordy would have scored a winning pin fall on Al, but Roy distracted the ref and caused Doc to force him back to the ring apron. Roy nailed Gordy with a boomerang shot, that dimmed the champion's light and let him score the pin at 22:28 to advance.
