I've had an ongoing series between the GWF and the CWA, the Combat Wrestling Alliance, for years. The CWA was formed by Magnus Colby with the banished Sudden Death wrestlers and a few bootlegs in 2096. As a result, I never had a CPC fed, but ran the same basic scenario in the CWA. There have been fed vs. fed battles, and years where they wouldn't cooperate due to the intense hatred.
Some highlights:
*When Janus debuted in the GWF, you may recall that he was carrying the title belt from another unnamed fed. In my history, Janus was the CWA Champion who jumped to the GWF.
*Colby then bought the three arenas (at that time) on Pluto & Neptune and forced the GWF out. He then bought the CWA and began promoting in those buildings.
*This lead to the CWA challenging the GWF for the possession of the physical title belt at the first "GWF vs. CWA" supercard at GalactiCon. Janus defeated the Bounty Hunter to keep the belt, even though he wasn't recognized as champion in the CWA. The next year, Infinity regained the belt from Janus in a match which saw the GalactiCon fans in attendance (like 5 people watching) popping huge for the near falls!
*A few years later, Mandrill won the GWF title from Chaos and then immediately jumped to the CWA, although with 20 other wrestlers. This was my attempt to split the rosters and level the playing field, so to speak.
*At the same time, the Ninja Assassins jumped to the CWA with the GWF IP tag belts, which they unified with the CWA Cosmos tag belts. I always liked when Japan or Mexico would feature WWF or NWA belts, which the US offices no longer sanctioned. This was my answer.
*The ultimate slap in the face occured when Bloodline debuted in the CWA. Wrestling against the fed his father helped build definitely made him a huge heel in GWF arenas.
*To strike back, the GWF challenged the CWA to a supercard entitled "War of the Worlds". The main event saw each fed's Galaxian Heavyweight Champion battle it out. The losing fed could no longer refer to their heavyweight title as a "Galaxian" title. Luckily for my long term booking, the GWF won that one.
*During the New Beginnings era, the GWF & CWA have combined for some shows during the economic depression.
Both leagues have had their own identity. The GWF has always been my WWF/New Japan style feds. Some comedy underneath, but the main events were serious matches. The CWA featured a little more hardcore action, and a crusierweight division. In addition, the tag titles were always defended in 2 out of 3 falls matches.
In the LOW, I haven't done any interpromotional stuff yet. I do have a smaller fed in Omaha, which recognizes my main AWA World Championship. The Omaha area features the shooters from LOW, like Danny Hodge, Dan Severn, Strangler Lewis, and Jim Londos. The AWA had the more traditional style pro wrestlers.
