Snuka has clearly snapped and needs to be restrained by officials as the medical team attends to Rogers. **
Match 6: Bruiser Brody v. Harley Race The fans are all over Brody after his attack on Curt Hennig earlier tonight. Larry Hennig stops Harley Race on the way to the ring and has a brief conversation with Race. Race just simply nods and continues on his way to the ring. Although no one can hear what is said, everyone assumes Hennig was asking his former tag team partner to get some payback on Brody. This one would have been an intense battle even without the added drama of Brody’s actions earlier tonight. Neither man holds a real advantage and at one point, both men go for a clothesline and collide together. Race is up first and hits a deathjump tackle that takes out the referee. Race plants Brody with back to back PILEDRIVERS but there is no referee to make the count. A new referee finally arrives and the action continues. The Valentines cut off Geeto Mongol from his corner and Johnny drops him to the mat with a forearm bludgeon for a 2 count (R6/P3). Geeto kicks out after an ATOMIC SKULLCRUSHER at the last second (R5/P4) and it does not look like the champions will last long. Johnny Valentine is in along with Geeto but the bell sounds and the referee has disqualified the Mongols at 17:22. The Valentines complain to the referee but he decision stands. Johnny & Greg Valentine remain undefeated but go home without the gold. *** ½
News and Views: An absolute stellar night as the fans in one of the smallest venues on the circuit are treated the biggest night of action so far. The action was heated in the back as well especially following the Jimmy Snuka – Buddy Rogers action. Snuka had to be restrained by officials as the Superfly has really gone over the edge. Ring of Legends officials have given Snuka a chance to cool down in the form of a one week suspension . . . After speculating on his future in the Ring of Legends just one week ago, Bruiser Brody has turned the wrestling world upside down once again this time apparently joining forces with Steve Corino. No one knows exactly what Brody’s motives are or what exactly in the agreement between Brody and Corino, if there is one at all. Even Dave Meltzer was surprised at the recent turn of events and only said that the one thing that you can always count of Brody for is to do the unexpected . . . Up next, Ring of Legends heads to White Plains, NY for a card a the Westchester County Civic Center. No title matches have been signed but in the main event, World Tag Team Champions Mongols joins Don Muraco in six man tag team action against the Last of the Famous International Playboys and Jim Londos. Also, Lou Thesz meets Hacksaw Jim Duggan in United States Tournament action and Larry Hennig meets Steve Corino.

Match 3: One Man Gang w/Sir Oliver Humperdink v. Antonino Rocca Weighing more than double his opponent, Gang has an incredible size advantage over Rocca so the Argentinean would need to use his speed advantage to have any chance of surviving this one. Rocca looks like his will not last long in this one early on but he manages to roll clear of a 747 SPLASH and the momentum of the bout changes. Rocca is able to keep the big man on the defensive with a series of ankle scissors and kicks to the knee. Sean “The Libertarian” Morley & Jerry Lynn These two teams have had some intense battles in the past but the Valentines remain undefeated so far in Ring of Legends and are looking to keep that streak alive tonight. Morley allows Valentine to tag out and Johnny Valentine takes control dropping Morley with an ATOMIC SKULLCRUSHER for a 2 count (R6/P4). Valentine traps Morley in a FIGURE FOUR LEGLOCK and Johnny Valentine takes out Lynn. Morley submits at 8:22 and the Valentines just keep rolling. After the match, Morley is not happy and shoves Lynn. Lynn responds with a DDT and leaves Morley dazed in the middle of the ring.**
Bruiser Brody is on the Hot Seat with Bill Apter. Apter immediately asks Brody about his actions last week and Brody tells us that he could no longer stand the smug look on Hennig’s face as he bragged about being the one who injured Bruiser Brody. Brody recalls wiping the mat with Hennig all over Minnesota a few years back and tells the fans he will do it again. And if Hennig’s old man sticks his nose in Brody’s business, he will get his block knocked off. Brody asks if he was invited to the win to get in battle royal? No he was not. Has he been included in the United States Title Tournament? No he has not. It is time that Ring of Legends woke up and realized that Bruiser Brody is the most destructive force in pro wrestling. It started with Hennig. Harley Race was next and Bruiser Brody tells us that he will destroy everyone in his path on the way to the Ring of Legends World Title.
Match 5: Larry Hennig v. Steve Corino The feud between these two has been bloody and intense and appears to be expanding with the inclusion of Bruiser Brody and Curt Hennig last week. Steve Williams quickly tags in as the action returns to the ring and crushes Orton with an OKLAHOMA STAMPEDE for the win at 5:42 (R3/P5). (dud).
Match 7: United States Title Tournament Match – Lou Thesz v. Hacksaw Duggan Solid ovation for both men as they are introduced. A handshake starts things off. Match 8: Don Muraco and The Mongols w/Captain Lou Albano v. Jim Londos & The Last of the Famous International Playboys Londos and Playboys are out to a solid ovation from ringside. Muraco and Londos square off and the crowd gets behind Londos. Both teams make tags and Buff Bagwell uses his agility against Bepo Mongol and takes him down with a double arm DDT for a 1 count (R7/P4). Beefcake is in and comes off the top of the buckles with a deathjump crossbody block on Bepo but Albano distracts the referee. The action settles down and goes back and forth for some time. Geeto Mongol breaks through with a power attack on Londos picking up a 1 count with a TOP ROPE KNEE DROP (R9/P3). The Mongols work over Londos attempt to end it with a MONGOLIAN DROP but Londos gets his shoulder up at the last second. Geeto traps Londos with an Oriental Spike but Londos breaks free. Time expires at 30:00 just as Londos tags out to Bagwell. **
News and Views: Although the main event never really seemed to take off, the fans appeared to have a good time tonight . . . It appears that Bruiser Brody has declared war on the entire Ring of Legends roster. Who will be next in his path of destruction? . . .The team of Jerry Lynn and The Libertarian Sean Morley are no more after their loss to the Valentines tonight. Backstage, Lynn had nothing good to say about Morley telling Bill Apter that if he focused more on what was going on in the ring instead of politics, they would be World Tag Team Champions right now . . .The feud between Larry Hennig and Steve Corino grows more violent each time they step into the ring with one another. Promoters are now scrambling to sign the next singles match between these two will Dave Meltzer reporting it will likely be a Texas Death Match . . .Lou Thesz looked very impressive in advancing to the next round of the United States Title Tournament and is an early favorite to come away with the title when the tournament wraps up on June 1st in Madison Square Garden . . . Speaking of the June 1st card, Dave Meltzer is reporting that promoters in New York have made it very clear to the Ring of Legends front office that they want Mascaras v. Thesz for the World Title in the main event. Meltzer has pointed out that Ring of Legends has been put into a hard spot as it is unlikely they can delay the Thesz – Mascaras match until June given that there is likely ½ dozen title defenses between now and then and Thesz has been seemed unbeatable and the fans will be demanding that Thesz have a title shot before MSG show. Meltzer goes onto to say that it is likely the Thesz – Mascaras showdown will take place before hand and perhaps we could see the title bounce back in forth between the two men a blow off match at MSG. Meltzer also added that Thesz will really need to also cleanly defeat Antonino Rocco before he steps into the ring with the Mascaras . . .Up next, Ring of Legends moves onto Sunnyside Gardens in Queens, NY for a solid show featuring World Champion Mil Mascaras defending his title against Dick Hutton. In addition, Larry Hennig faces Terry Gordy in the opening round of the United States Title Tournament and World Tag Team Champions Mongols team with Don Muraco to take on Jim Londos and The Last of the Famous International Playboys in a rematch from tonight’s main event.

Buddy Rogers is the guest on Bill Apter’s Hot Seat. Rogers is decked out in a fine tailored suit carrying a brief case and tells us he has broken ribs and cannot compete tonight. Rogers explains that he told Ring of Legends officials that Jimmy Snuka’s actions two weeks ago proved he was nothing more that a savage and he should have been suspended indefinitely. The fans are all over Rogers and he responds calling them savages as well for cheering Snuka. Rogers continues telling us that Ring of Legends has done nothing so he has taken matters into his own hands. Rogers opens the briefcase and it is full of cash. Rogers announces that he will pay $20,000.00 to anyone who is able to get rid of Jimmy Snuka. Rogers tells us he does not care if it happens in the ring, in the parking lot, in a hotel room, anywhere. $20,000.00 cash to the person who makes sure Rogers never has to step into the ring with Snuka ever again.
