Hey guys, I am currently experiencing a problem here ... it seems everyone that gets a title shot at the IP title wins the title! I am only in 2090 and have had 21 title changes with 11 different champions. I have even had guys go "slumming" like Thantos and Wolf and they can't hold onto the title either. Krakan and Mesmer each have four reigns with Krakan holding it the longest for 11 cards.
What do you guys think I should do to lessen the "hot potato" effect I got going?

I notice that you have quite a lot of titles at the moment. Have you got any rules in place where say the holovid champion is not allowed to wrestle the IP Champion . If this is happening it could be that a higher class of wrestler is challenging for the belt . If not you could maybe let the champion choose the match type . I do new Beginnings and as a rule my champs hold their belts for a little while longer although I do not think having a secondary belt changing hands often is a bad thing , wrestlers sometimes use it as a stepping stone . Can you champs lose the belt on a DQ? Remember its all on the dice after all .

I base mine off a singles ranking poll ... #1 is the Galaxian Heavyweight #1 contender, #11 is the IP #1 contender and #21 is the Holovision title contender. I actually didn't think I had that many titles. The Galaxian (Heavyweight, Light-Heavyweight) is defended once every 30 days, IP and Holovision and Tag are twice every 30 days. The Holovision title is like the European title and I sort of think of it as a stepping stone for guys who for some reason fell into a bad slump or just starting out. The IP is more for the middle of the road ranked guys, guys that are .500 type deal.
I tried to keep to three titles but I like everyone having something to do, it gives something for everyone to get some credit. Hell Actagon and Proteus this time around have NO tag title reigns to there name!!!

I use a house rule where a champ needs to roll at or below his PIN Rating 3 times in a row to lose the title (twice in a non-title match). This has cut my title changes in half from my first run with the game.

I'd just take it that The IP Title is a hot potato as you put it and goona get lots of challenges from loads of different wrestlers all the time .
Please do not think i was saying it was wrong to have loads of belts , its your fed !!!!

Dont worry I think I solved the problem, I seriously played all day long yesterday while watching wrestling lol ... Mesmer in the current reign has shattered all IP title records (though we're not saying much here lol), I have a running angle where he is using hypnosis on refs and finds ways to win via DQ and countout. But he is winning 75% of these matches so I think I found my guy lol

Since incorperating the "Champions Advantage" rule in my fed. I've noticed right away titles changing hands not as often as before.I'd say thats the best house rule I've ever used finding it here on this site.
