ONLY THE BEST ROUND TWO SINGLES Perfect Specimen vs Sly Drury Burning Man vs ShayneTAG Vampire Legends vs Security Squad Titan Samurai vs Better than Human HEAVY METAL Bishop Hell vs Eydilon. Turmoil vs Balaal The Gladiators took a beating in the opening round, but I think Turmoil will probably go the distance... Very pleased that the Vamps are still in it and would like to see them win their division... Spec vs Shayne would make for an awesome finale... Possibly the two most gifted talents on the roster... Can't wait to see more! |

Burning Man over Shayne...BM is becoming too hot
Vampire Legends over the Security Squad
Titan Samurai over BTH (which has been doing really well)
Bishop Hell over Eydilion
Turmoil over Balaal (Turmoil has been a superbeast. Aethrn Overmaster needs to reward this successful warrior
Some surprises. If Drury is faced with the Burning Man, what will the boss man do? The Dominion representative is not marching to his orders. can't wait to see what unfolds.

Great stuff. Hope Burning Man can make the final match. This guy is hot (pun intended) after upsetting Monolith. Surely a title for title match is on the cards soon? It would be a major achievement to hold both major singles belts. Has anyone done that before? I seem to remember Shayne managing the feat in his debut year in your fed as he took things by storm. Anyone else?

Second Round
Sly Drury won over Perfect Specimen with REGIME CHANGE in an amazing match that could have gone either way. Shayne had 5 tokens and Spec had 6. 5-star match.
Undeterred by Toxic Inhalation, Shayne battled back against Burning Man with Shayne's Fury and won the match with SHOWDOWN! 4
Security Squad eliminated Vampire Legends in a great tag battle when Code Destroyer smashed Coven Black with EAT CROW. 4.5
PSI fizzled big-time and Kenji beat him with KNEE BAR as Titan Samurai beat Better than Human. 2
Eydilon beat Bishop Hell in a hard-fought cage battle. 3
Turmoil excelled in the cage as usual by beating Balaal with TRIPLE SUICIDE. 4
FINALS
Sly Drury vs Shayne. This should have been the final match and main event but Drury announced there would be no match since the two men are partners. Instead of battling it out or one pinning the other (neither wanted a pin loss in the books) they flipped a coin to see who would be the #1 contender to battle Monolith. Drury won the coin flip and SINGLES TOURNAMENT! Shayne said, "Okay, he's all yours. But if you don't get the strap, then I'm next!" It was the first time an ONLY THE BEST finals match didn't take place. After the card the official GWF statistician put an asterisk next to Drury's name in the record books for his "victory" but Drury was infuriated and had the asterisk removed. He fired the statistician.
Security Squad won the TAG TOURNAMENT by dominating their match with Titan Samurai. Iron Hand manhandled Kenji and won in less than two minutes. 1
Eydilon won a long, classic HEAVY METAL TOURNAMENT battle against Turmoil! Big win for Eydilon bringing him back into the title picture. Eydilon had 7 tokens and Turmoil had 8. 5 stars

Regime Change moving and shaking, can they be stopped? Sly & Shane could very well run the roost.
Animen vs. Regime Change a feud that could be brutal as Monolith and the wolf pack could but a crinkle in Drury's plans.
Eydilon and Shayne interesting and the Titan/Gladiator war heats up. I think Nexus is letting Specs drag them into a war that could very well make the Titans the biggest improved team or lead them to utter ruin.

Thankfully, Eydilon and Turmoil were there to save the final round... Coin toss? Really? The asterisk may be gone from the record books, but the fans will never forget... Of he wasn't already the greatest villain of all-time, Sly is definitely taking major strides toward becoming just that... Awesome!

Card 1021 during Tour of Andromeda
ANIMEN WIN BIG IN 6-MAN TAG ELIMINATION BOUT! FANS GO WILD!
Fall #1: Wolf uses END OF THE HUNT to beat Code Destroyer.
Fall #2: Iron Hand is DQ against Wolf.
Fall #3: Drury is alone and Monolith stays in the ring against him! With Monolith winning the match Sly Drury leaves! The fans jeer and boo but that's how it ends! The AniMen win resoundingly in this match, but can they hold their belts??? 3.5
To make matters worse for Regime Change, Panther Warrior beat Patch in a Hardcore Titan Death Match with SPEED OF THE PANTHER. 3.5
Shayne used SHOWDOWN to beat Edyilon with help from Iron Hand. Eydilon has challenged Shayne to a rematch with even odds. 3.5
Aethran Overmaster used DOMINANCE for a big win against Perfect Specimen. A classic match. 4.5
Gladiators beat Towers of Power when Probation threw the big man Giant Azuma out of the ring and he was counted out. 2.5
