(I've made a change in the Earned Points system I've been using, after looking through some of the old threads on the COTG Fan Made Card and Rules Board and came across a ranking system used by "wildcat" in the RANKINGS SYSTEM thread started by Curt. Basically, it goes like this:
| POINTS FOR WINNING VIA | POINTS FOR LOSING VIA | | SUBMISSION (Hardest to achieve, according to "wildcat") | +3 | -3 | | KNOCK OUT | +2 | -2 | | TKO | +1 | -1 | | TITLE MATCH | +1 to winner of title match | 0 to loser of title match (however, the loser of a title re-match loses all of his/her accumulated points) |
Of course, in wildcat's version, the loser of a title match received negative points equal to the number of points the winner of the title match received (for example, newly crowned POW Heavyweight champion Silas defeats former champion Dark Star Creature in a re-match for the title by TKO to successfully defend the title. Silas received +2 pts. for winning the title match while DSC received -2 pts. for losing the match), but I made the change to the system to fit my philosophy of giving the other contenders a fair shot at the title. This new points system will also be implemented in Pride and Honor Fighting beginning on the September 7 card.--David "Barnestormer" Barnes)
