DZW makes it's return after a brief hiatus (GWFZT has arrived!) with some slight changes... Dark Zone has now become the Danger Zone! It has also aligned itself with several other exciting territories as part of the GWFZ. Since Doctor Payne was the ZONE Championship going into the hiatus he will be recognised as the first official Steel Champion. He will also be defending the Steel Championship as previously scheduled against Crow on the upcoming inaugural GWFZ Supercard HOMECOMING.

Old School vs. New Blood

8 Old School Hardcore Legends battle in one bracket filled with various death matches, 8 New Blood Hardcore Future Legends in another death match filled bracket... the winners of each bracket will then battle in one final death match to determine the sole survivor that will take the Deathmeister Cup.

Newsline - The GWFZ Universal Tag Team Champions Heavy Metal will be on the card, they have been challenged to a non title match by the team of Xaphan & Astro Creep aka Grindhouse. This should be a good one being in the Danger Zone there will be no disqualifications!

The Ace made it a point to challenge Dogma in a first round match in the tournament. The Ace wants to avenge his loss to Dogma in the Super Scrapyard Death Match over a decade ago. That aforementioned match was one of the most violent and sadistic matches ever witnessed. It saw both men beat the hell out of one another and Dogma damn near killing The Ace. Both men were hospitalised for some time after the match. Can The Ace avenge this loss or will Dogma once again triumph?


Varsity has been running his mouth once again, this time he has challenged Steel Champion Mr. Payne to a title match. Varsity states he will clean up The Danger Zone and he will start at the top of the heap! Can the Anti-Hardcore Crusader take out the good Doctor? We shall find out soon!

The night opened with the cameras in The Ace's locker room as he is getting his fists taped up for the Mhuy Thai Death Match with Dogma. He states that his sole intention of entering this tournament was to face Dogma. He says he's got nothing left to accomplish but to finally the man whom he has never defeated. He says that until Dogma & Crow came along that he was the biggest name in the indy circuit and he hated how they stole his spotlight. He said that he's beaten Crow in the past but he has yet to beat Dogma and that their one match back in 1999 still eats at him today.

In he opening match of the evening Scar beat both Pariah and Hellstone in a Tirion Triple Threat Match when he hit Pariah with DEATH BY AETHRAN

-- Sick, sick brutal match! Hardcore Jim Steel falls 30 ft off the top of the cage through 6 tables! And if that wasnt enough Abattoir leapt off the cage with a flying splash onto a plate of glass! Abattoir then did a baseball slide causing several light tubes to bust in Steel's face. Abattoir then mercifully ended the match with his finisher on the concrete floor.

Abattoir is the winner of the Survival Of The Damned Tournament and now claims the Deathmeister Cup!
-- Abattoir was just a vicious beast throughout this entire tournament. He has won a new fan in me! He is also now in line for a shot at Dr. Payne's Steel Championship. Payne is a very tough champion but can he overcome a person so brutal like Abattoir? We shall see...
