Qualitar: Welcome to the POW’s PPV, Backlash. I’m Qualitar here to call the action as it goes down. And along side me, my color man, Trent Lawless! I can’t tell you how excited I am to be right here at ringside, as this night promises to be one of great matches. Big rivalries and even bigger feuds have been developing over the last couple of weeks!
TL: And my main man, Brainstorm is in action tonight, taking on the man he beat for the POW championship, Euritar! That’s gotta be worth the admission price alone right there Q!
Q: Our opener is going to see the Ladies up first. As we all should know by now, our Champion Willow, had to give up her title due to her pregancy. That left the title vacant. Rhiannon was the #1 Contender at that time, and her opponent tonight, Desdemona won the right to face Rhiannon by defeating Morgana last week! And tonight, they meet for the right to be the next Women’s Champion! Let’s get to the action before the fans here at the Prantares United Center tear the place apart!

WOMEN’S CHAMPIONSHIP MATCHRhiannon vs. DesdemonaSuperb match up where these two took neither one for granite as they went back and forth and traded offense often. Desdemona used her BITE MARKS often, but Rhiannon would not go down like that. Rhiannon fought back and continued to wear down Desdemona until she hit her finisher, BANSHEE WAIL and Desdemona went down for the three count!

Announcer: Ladies and Gentlemen, the winner of the match and NEW POW WOMEN’S CHAMPION! Rhia......*Just then Desdemona came from the backside and blindsided Rhiannon! Desdemona went beserk on Rhiannon, just clawing and slashing away at her. Shylock comes running out and pulls Desdemona off of Rhiannon and throws her aside! As Shylock tended to Rhiannon, Desdemona slithered back into the ring with a chair and went to level Shylock with it. Shylock catches her and pulls the chair away from her. Desdemona backed down and slithered into the corner. Shylock looks around to the crowd as he looks for their approval to put Desdemona in her place, when Puma comes from behind and crushes Shylock! Puma then whips Shylock into the ropes and hits SIDESWIPE, knocking Shylock out of his boots!*
Q: Wow, what a way to start off Backlash! Shylock gets nailed by Puma!!!
TL: That’s what he gets for trying to play hero. Hasn’t that guy learned his lesson yet? Everytime he goes to Rhiannon’s rescue, it ends up costing him more than she’s worth!
Q: Oh Come on, that’s uncalled for! How could you say something like that?
TL: Easy, I just did and it’s true!
Q: Shylock is Rhiannon’s friend. that’s what friends do, they help each other!!
TL: Hey, I have friends. Lots of ‘em, but I also pick my battles! This battle, Shylock will end up losing. All because of a chick! tsk tsk.

TABLES MATCHGood O Boys vs. The PunksThe Good O Boys were on a mission. That mission, to destroy the Punks in this match. And boy did they succeed. The Punks seen very little offense and Silas and Gordo threw Romulus through two tables, making him bleed! Silas then used a crossbody deathjump to go for the win, but Romulus somehow kicked out of it! Later, Gordo tagged in and they hit their tag finisher LONE STAR LARIAT on Romulus as Taurine tried to make the save, but was cut off!

Q: The heated feud between Thayne and Ahnu has been boiling over. Ahnu just got another shot at the Cruiserweight strap, by beating former champ and #1 contender Crucible last week! Ahnu is looking to destroy Thayne and take that title in the process! Thayne, however, has other ideas! Thayne believes he’s gonna crush Ahnu, keep his title, and inflict even more damage after the match! Thayne says he’s gonna end Ahnu’s career tonight!
TL: Talk is cheap. Thayne’s a loose cannon! Ahnu is a Ekitma Master! Do you know what that means. That means he can kick serious ass! All Thayne’s got going for him is anger.
Q: Anger could be deciding factor in who kicks who’s ass tonight! Might be all the motivation Thayne needs! We’ll see how that goes right now!

POW CRUISERWEIGHT CHAMPIONSHIP MATCHThayne (c) vs. Ahnugreat action. Thayne comes into the ring on the attack, but Ahnu catches him with a lightning quick spinebuster and Thayne was down early! Ahnu continued an impressive onslaught and it looked like Thayne was done for. Anytime Thayne would try to revese the momentum, Ahnu would counter it with some hard hitting move. The turning point was outside the ring, as Thayne took advantage after Ahnu botched a deathjump outside the ring. Thayne then pulled out all the hard hitting offense with a vicious choke and NO QUARTER, but Ahnu wouldn’t stay down! Thayne then hit a flying knee to the spine and that was enough to put Ahnu down for the count!

Announcer: Ladies and Gentlemen, the winner of the match and still the POW CRUISERWEIGHT CHAMPION! THAYNE!!! *Thayne’s music plays as he wasn’t finished with Ahnu yet! He throws him outside the ring and continues to assault Ahnu as the ref tried to stop him to no avail. Finally, out comes Pendekar and pulls Thayne away from Ahnu. Pendekar tried to play peacemaker, but felt Thayne’s anger and gets crushed with a kick to the gut and a DDT on the floor! Thayne then grabs his title and leaves!*

Mad Jester’s theme music plays, as Matinee Idol awaits Jester in the ring, only to find that Jester was underneath the ring and sneaks up behind him. Franco sees him and tries to warn Idol, but it’s too late! Jester grabs Idol and bites his nose!!!*
ding ding ding...Match 4: Mad Jester vs. Matinee Idol w/ Franco Jesterellioutstanding match up with Mad Jester really rockin’ Idol early on, even hitting his finisher DIE LAUGHING! That brought in Franco, who attacked Jester with a sleeper type hold, but Mad Jester judo threw him over his shoulder and then clotheslined him out of the ring. Idol came back hitting AWARD WINNER but Jester kicked out! Idol and Jester went outside and a violent brawl went down, with Jester gaining the advantage once again! Jester went for a deathjump, but missed. Idol went for a quick cover, but Jester kicked out once again! Idol continued his assault and really hammered down on Jester and finally put him down for the three count after another AWARD WINNER!

Raze started things off in his usual dominate form, but then T.K. turned it around with a vertical suplex and then whipped Raze into the ropes! T.K. tried to use the chain to clothesline Raze, but Raze ducks it and comes off the opposite ropes with a clothesline with chain! T.K. was out! Raze picks him up and uses AWAKENING to pin T.K.!!! Talisman was beside himself!!

Q: Great win for Raze! He’s been so dominate over TK lately and Talisman looks like he’s at his wits end on how to beat this guy!
TL: Talisman isn’t use to losing! And certainly not to Raze! Talisman wants to teach Raze a lesson, but instead, the student is teaching his former Master a few things!

Q: This next match should be good. Cypher challenged Zed Marlowe to an Outlaw Fight Club match!
TL: And what’s so interesting about that you ask? Well, typically, only OFC members can compete in these styles of matches, but since Cypher is the invitee, the POW is gonna let it go! I think Cypher wants to prove he’s a far superior MMA fighter than Zed Marlowe!
Q: Zed might be out of his element in this style of match, but not only that, but he’s fighting the injury bug as well. Cypher is very opportunistic!
TL: I prefer the word “smart”. Very smart! Cypher’s like a shark that smells blood! He’s all over this and sees an advantage to propel himself up the ranks! If Zed was smart, he’d just forfeit this match tonight.
Q: Zed’s not going to do that, I’ve never known him to back away from a challenge ever! Let’s get to the ring!

OFC MATCHZed Marlowe vs. Cyphergreat match up that went back and forth on many occasions, with Cypher using his power to wear down Marlowe early on, but Marlowe manages to fight back and late in the match hit his Heir to the Throne and MARLOWE VISE to really wear Cypher down. Finally, Marlowe ended up knocking out Cypher with Heir to the Throne to win the match!

Announcer: Ladies and Gentlemen, the winner of the match, by knock out! Zed Marlowe!!!! *Zed gets up, reeling in pain as he put his battered body through hell. The ref holds up his arm as Zed grimmises in pain but is still celebrating as Cypher rolls out of the ring and very disgusted that his plan backfired!*
Q: big win for Zed! What an upset win by the youngster!
TL: I can’t believe it. How does this guy do it week after week. Cypher is really beside himself right now.
Q: I’m sure he’s wondering what does he have to do to beat this kid!

POW TAG TEAM CHAMPIONSHIP MATCHSky Fire vs. Darwin’s Legacy (c)Talon and Hadrian started things off and both exchanged some offense, but it didn’t take long for the tag team champs to bounce back and use their power to wear down Sky Fire! Sky Fire did manage to get some pinfall attempts, but Darwin’s Legacy was too powerful this round and they nailed Talon with their tag finisher EXTINCTION (+5) to retain their titles!

Puma and Rubicon fought to the top of the cage, and while they were on top, Shylock runs out and helps Rubicon double team Puma and used a double powerbomb on the Animen! Rubicon brings Puma back into the ring and hits NO RETURN and that was all it took to put the Puma down and out of the match!

INTER STELLAR CHAMPIONSHIP MATCHMensar w/ Cordanus vs. Stigma (c)Stigma started things off really knocking Mensar around and appling Lockdown! Mensar however was able to battle back and applied a torture rack, when Cordanus saw an opportunity to take an advantage in the match. Cordanus slides a foreign object into the ring, undetected by the ref, and then hops up on the apron to argue with the ref. As the ref is arguing, Mensar grabs the foreign object and levels Stigma with it! The ref then turns around to see Mensar covering Stigma! 1..2...Stigma kicked out! Mensar can’t believe it!! He hits Wrecking Machine. Stigma kicked out of that too! Mensar is getting frustrated and argues with the ref. That allows Stigma to recover and hits STIGMATA on Mensar and gets the pinfall!!

Announcer: Ladies and Gentlemen, the winner of the match and still your POW INTER STELLAR CHAMPION! STIGMA!!! Q: what a match up. Mensar sure thought he was gonna win that match tonight
TL: hey, what can I say. They made a good effort, and you couldn’t say that Cordanus wasn’t prepared for this match. Stigma was just better tonight.
Q: Stigma has sure been unstoppable lately. Just imagine if he wanted to take a shot at the POW Championship! I don’t think anyone could stop his momentum!
TL: A very scary thought indeed. For a little guy, he’s gotta be pound for pound the toughest S.O.B. in the POW right now!

ding ding ding...Match 10: Gunnar & Mike Fortune vs. Scion Nexus and Hanumangreat match up with had the Hired Guns working over Hanuman throughout the match, and Scion Nexus doing everything he could to keep Hanuman in the match. Finally, Hanuman was able to fight off the Guns, and tagged in Nexus. Nexus really came in a house of fire and controlled the last half of the match! Gunnar fought back and tried for a deathjump, but was met by a boot from Nexus. Nexus gets up and tags Gunnar with THE APEX as Fortune couldn’t make the save.

Announcer: Ladies and Gentlemen, the winners of the match. Hanuman and Scion Nexus!!!Q: What a big win for Nexus and Hanuman. This odd couple really showed that they were on the same page.
TL: Fortune and Gunnar have made quite an impressive team as of late, but tonight, just couldn’t seem to slow down Nexus at all. I think Hanuman’s lucky that Nexus saved his skin, otherwise, The Guns would’ve won this match.

Q: this next match is a grudge match for the ages. Just about everyone that tunes into the POW has known the history of these two. Probably the biggest heated feud in the known galaxy. Saboteur makes his return to the ring and lately, has been a thorn in the side of Shylock. However, Shylock has been beating Saboteur in the ring and really frustrating Saboteur and his plans! Tonight, maybe they’ll settle this grudge match once and for all?!

Announcer: Ladies and Gentlemen, this next match up is scheduled for one fall! First, coming to the ring...*
Saboteur’s theme music plays bringing out the Assassin as the fans really show their disgust for the mysterious agent!*

Shylock’s theme music plays as probably the biggest pop of the evening comes as Shylock out and wastes no time getting to the ring and the fight was on!!!*
ding ding ding...Match 11: Saboteur vs. ShylockMatch of the night! Shylock took it to Saboteur early, hitting FALLOUT (+6) right away. out comes Puma and attacks Shylock, but Shylock fights him off and then returns his focus to Saboteur! Later in the match, Shylock again hits FALLOUT (+4) and this time Puma signals for help and out comes Darwin’s Legacy. Dr. Barnabas hops on the apron and distracts the ref as the three Animen triple team Shylock and pound him to the mat! Saboteur finally recovers and goes for the pin. Shylock some how kicks out of it!!!
Saboteur mounts an offensive, hitting his finisher EYE FOR AN EYE, but Shylock refused to stay down! In the end, Shylock battled back and hits FALLOUT (+2) to knock out Saboteur!

Announcer: Ladies and Gentlemen, the winner of the match, Shylock!Q: Tremendous match up. Dr. Barnabas and Saboteur must’ve formed a pact back stage, as obviously Saboteur doesn’t think he can beat Shylock one on one! I’m betting that..... Wait a minute. the Animen aren’t done yet with Shylock. they all are attacking him in the ring! What a bunch of cowards!
TL: They’re not cowards, they’re pissed off!! Can you blame them, Shylock just made them look like playful kittens!
Q: C’mon security, break that up. Someone’s gonna get hurt.
*Shylock takes a huge beating from the Animen and Saboteur before from out of the back, comes Rubicon, Sky Fire and of all people, Cypher?!?!? They all hit the ring as the Animen and Saboteur scatter. They all tend to Shylock as the Animen and the Assassin back track and trash talk on their way out!*

Brainstorm seemed frustrated at not being able to keep Euritar down and tries to shoot him off the ropes. Euritar kicks Brainstorm in the head and then hits Heads Will Roll along with another twisting backbreaker before hitting MERCILESS. Out comes the Hired Guns, Gunnar & Mike Fortune as they double team Euritar with a beat down and the ref called for the bell!
