I had the pleasure of playing my first CotG game about 20 yrs. ago. And here I am today, starting all over, going back to the beginning. Instead of rolling the ol' bones, this time around I am taking the GWF online! I will be using this forum to post my cards, impressions & info. Please feel free to add your own thoughts.

A Gathering It begins again from a secret location on the Planet Mars
After Thantos decided to break the Galaxian Wrestling Code by forming an evil, rule-breaking group nearly 2 years ago, Omega, Star Warrior, Lord Nexus & the other baby face grapplers were poised to make their move.
Omega & his son Star Warrior hosted a clandestine session to plan a multi-fronted attack on the evil wrestling faction that we'll call "Forces of Darkness". The entire Galaxian Heroes roster attended the meeting held on the planet Mars.
“We've been hamstrung, gentlemen,” explained Star Warrior. “Thantos' formation of his “Forces of Darkness” villain group have surprised all of us. Hence, we have been confused & out-witted by the wicked Gamesmaster. Therefore, we are about to make our move.”
Star Warrior's father, Omega, stepped up, and pointed to a large, hairy humanoid lurking at the rear of the hall.
“Our acquisition of Wolf was the first decisive move toward our goal of regaining the GWF from Thantos' strangling grasp.”
Wolf simply looked down at the floor, grunting in reply.
Omega continued. “Now that the major GWF Titles are vacant, I sincerely believe that the time has come for us to quickly snatch them up for the forces of good.”
Commander Sam raised a hand. “The U.S.A. Is ready to go, Omega! We've been itching to take down the terrorists, with, or without the aid of our allies. But out of my deep respect for all of you gentlemen, I have chosen to wait for this moment.”
“Thank you, Commander,” Star Warrior said.
“How are you doing, Omega?” asked the giant Massif, referring to the illegal beating that Omega received 2 nights before during a match with the nasty Comrade Terror.
Omega winced, rubbing a bruised shoulder. “Better, thank you.”
“It's payback time!” a voiced roared. It was Wolf, stepping forward and slamming a fist to an open palm. “I don't know 'bout you, but I am tired of hanging my head, wringing my hands, and whining like a defeated bum.”
Wolf glanced around the room, from face to face. “How can we be defeated, if we have yet to begin?”
The room erupted in applause & cheers!

Opening Segment - Video
Following the last Battle Bowl card, the rule-breaking Dark Group gathered for a post-match pow-wow.
Thantos rallied all of the evil teams with a powerful speech:
"Do not even bother to bore me with your sickening excuses, or your incessant whining," Thantos warned, slamming a fist onto a table. "It is obvious to all of us that the Heroes Teams picked their game up last card. They want the Championship Belt, gentlemen. They are gathering for war!"
The Gamesmaster walked around the hall, staring at each of the wicked warriors.
"I want to bring the belt back home! Defeat is not in our vocabulary!"

Battle Royal for the GWF Championship! Match #00002 Deimos Arena September 29, 2087
The twelve combatants quickly dwindled down to four, leaving Commander Sam, Lord Nexus, Comrade Terror & Death Knight circling each other within the confines of the squared circle.
Comrade Terror feinted a left jab at Lord Nexus, then connected with a tremendous forearm shot that sent the Titan leader over the top rope and onto the floor at the 5 1/2 minute mark.
Commander Sam immediately caught Comrade Terror in a huge headlock, and launched him over the top to the floor.
That left Death Knight and Commander Sam alone in the ring's center to fight for the grand prize. The pair fought viciously, but neither could gain an immediate opportunity to throw his opponent to the floor.
Death Knight finally took advantage of an opening to deliver his finisher, the lethal Cosmic Lance! But the proud American bounced off of the ropes and cracked his determined opponent with a crushing elbow smash that drained Death Knight of energy!
That's all that Commander Sam needed to throw Death Knight to the floor at last!
The winner of the Battle Royal and your new Galaxian Wrestling Federation Champion... Commander Sam!
Commander Sam's theme song shook the walls of the Deimos' Arena, the ring quickly filled with dignitaries and representatives of the Heroes' faction. As Omega buckled the Championship strap around his waist, Sam called the Heroes to the center, where they all joined hands as a show of solidarity.
Meanwhile, a dark figure observed the celebration from a shadowed corner near the exit. Spitting curses from behind clenched teeth, the darkly-robed figure snatched up a gym bag and exited into the night.
A name was visible on the bag, just before the door closed behind him: Thantos.

Yeah, I made an error by calling it the Heavy Metal. I meant for it to be the "GWF Championship", (you'll see that I made the changes here in the forum).
I am making the change on the Online System, as well.
Thanks!

Galaxy Superstars Show Tues. Nov. 10, 2087 [/size]
Opening
This evening's program opens with Proteus and Actagon standing in the ring's center.
A video then played a collection of some of the Greek Gods' most memorable matches.
Back live, the duo stated that they are poised to shoot directly to the top, and that when the Championship Committee announce the start of the Tag Team tournament, the Greek Gods will capture the belts.
"The belts are already ours," said Proteus. "We're just waiting on the tournament, so that we can fasten them around our waists."
Suddenly, Vanity & Killer Queen stroll towards the ring to the song "Pomp & Circumstance".
Upon entering the ring, the pair of flamboyant grapplers stepped right up to the larger wrestlers to declare that they are poised for an upset.
"Don't be so quick to brag, gentlemen," said Killer Queen. "It's our time. With our speed, talent & lady-killing good looks, we are ready to climb to the top of the mountain & grab our belts!"
Killer Queen & Vanity vs. The Greek Gods (Proteus & Actagon)
This match-up was surprisingly even. Both members of the Greek Gods appeared frustrated as Killer Queen & Vanity took their best, and continued to come back.
Vanity eventually had Actagon down on the mat, so he nailed the Greek grappler with a huge fist from the top of the turnbuckle at 5 min. 58 sec. to give his team a huge upset against one of the finest tag teams ever!
After the closing bell, The Gladiators, (Brute & Massacre), stormed the ring to attack both weary teams! Vanity was tossed out over the ropes by Massacre. When Killer Queen tried to help, he was just back body dropped to the floor by Massacre.
Meanwhile, Proteus traded big blows with Brute, but crumbled after being blindsided with a clubbing blow to the back of his head by Massacre.
Brute lifted up Actagon, who was still recovering from Vanity's flying fist, only to crash him back down with a tremendous clothesline.
Security ran out to secure the ring from more extra-curricular violence.
Omega's Special Project
After a commercial break, Omega is in the ring promoting a special project to assist orphaned children around the galaxy.
Thantos music breaks through as the Gamesmaster strolls down towards the ring, accompanied by the Executioner. He poses a bit, then addresses Omega: "Your best days are long gone, old man. You have nothing left, so you cuddle babies all day."
Omega can take no more smack talk, so he rears back, threatening to fire a chop across the head of Thantos. The Executioner steps up to threaten Omega in return. Security comes in to restore some peace.
Omega challenges Thantos to a match. The Gamesmaster agrees.
The big match is next.
Omega vs. Thantos (Executioner in the corner)
The wicked Gamesmaster easily dispatched of the legend called Omega, putting him away with a Satanic Skull Smasher at 5 min. 42 sec.
After the match, the Executioner jumped in, and while Thantos held the dazed Omega upright, allowed him to slap Omega's face.
Star Warrior ran to the ring to chase the devilish pair away.
Tag Team Match Mutant & Ghengis Khan (Krakan managing) vs. The Fighting Titans (Lord Nexus & Pulsar)
Lord Nexus pinned the Mutant following a Titan Drop at the 9 min. 06 sec. mark.
The Invincible Krakan shouted threats and challenges at the winners, as they made their way to the locker room.
Singles Special Event Massif vs. Comrade Terror
The giant Massif pinned the interplanetary terrorist after nailing him with a huge Volcanic Drop at the 10 min. 09 sec. mark. A classic matchup!
Halfway through the match, Exo-King climb onto the ring apron to attempt a distraction, only to be met with a knuckle sandwich from Massif.
As Massif celebrated his victory in the ring's center, Exo-King started to climb in, but GWF Champ Commander Sam ran up & fired a solid barrage that sent the King's crown flying into the crowd.
Commander Sam raised Massif's hand in victory, as Comrade Terror & Exo-King limped out to the lockers.
Main Event! Wolf vs. Death Knight
A video segment set up this match, showing Wolf's DQ win, when the Invincible Krakan smacked Wolf over the head with a metal trash can.
The video showed the disqualification win for Wolf, followed by Thantos' sneak attack upon Wolf! Wolf & Thantos traded big shots, until security was called in to separate them.
Tonight Thantos sends Death Knight after Wolf!
Wolf handled Death Knight pretty easily, which infuriated the evil Gamesmaster.
After Wolf's big win, the Executioner suddenly appeared at ring-side, holding an ugly looking noose, and gesturing at Wolf, raking a finger to the neck.
Thantos then appeared up on the upper stage area, pointing out directions to the Executioner.
Wolf jumped the floor to challenge the evil Executioner, but could not locate him! Somehow... the Executioner had vanished into thin air!
Thantos chuckled menacingly, and sent Wolf an ominous message:
Tonight's win was just one battle. The war is far from over. Do not put too much weight into this single win, Wolf. You see, it is all a part of my master plan for total dominance.
Remember this point, Wolf... you are not in control. While I am building my Dark Team with the finest talent in the universe., you run wild in fear, like a rabid, disease-filled, pitiful animal.
Your days are numbered, Wolf. Soon... very soon... the noose will be tightened around your neck, choking the life from your weakening lungs at last.
Your game is over. So says the Gamesmaster.
The show ended with Wolf standing in the center of the ring, illuminated by a single spotlight bathing him in an eerie, smoky glow.
