THE SCENE: ARENA ANTILIA

With a terrifying war cry, Tekaro swung his spear in a wide arc, decapitating 3 or 4 of the incoming ghouls with the attack. As the now headless zombies hit the ground, yet another, larger wave came barrelling across the bleachers behind them. Unafraid and ready for war, Tekaro screamed and charged them piercing one right through the sternum with his spear and proceding to bash all of the others with his shield, sending them sprawling.

Ripping his spear out of the pierced zombie and in one swift motion proceding to decapitate it, Tekaro spun around to deal with the zombies coming in behind him. KABOOM! Tekaro hit the dirt as a huge boulder came crashing into the bleachers behind him, destroying several ghouls who were sneaking up on him! Tekaro could see that Warfare, down on the arena floor, had made the save for him, but was now in danger as Cremator and Noxious were leading wave of ghouls up behind him!

Tekaro did not have the chance to warn his partner as a HUGE cannon blast came from Holocaust that destroyed most of the zombies and sent the others flying! Warfare turned around now and back to back he went with Holocaust, trying to fend off the endless minions of Murdok. Tekaro now re-focused on his own problems, only to see Nemean running up the bleachers next to him, and actually stopping to pull of trick shots with his pistol!

Nemean: (gunshot) 2 points! (gunshot) X2 Combo! (gunshot) HEADSHOT! 10 POINTS!

With zombies closing in all around him quickly, Tekaro sprinted down the bleachers, twirling his spear in a constant circle above his head and cutting a path of undead gore through his foes! Finally reaching the arena floor, Tekaro bounded through an opening in the mass of undead and made it to the ring where he joined Nicodemus and the bulk of the Ravager Troopers who had come here as well.

With the Plague Harvester himself directing the attacks, Nicodemus and the Ravagers had been fending off wave after wave of ghouls. But as Nicodemus now took a look around at his forces, he realized that they were all being forced backwards closer and closer to the ring. As it looked like The Ravager Army would soon be corralled and subsequently eaten alive in the center of the arena, several ground floor doorways in the back of the arena were flung open as Aegis, Exodus, and 20 Centra Guard poured into the coliseum!

Immediately, half of the zombie mass turned from the ring and charged Aegis' forces. But, instead of charging back, the Centra Guard knelt down, shouldered their rifles, and opened fire with a devastating barrage of gunfire! Like corn husks being harvested, countless ghouls were torn to pieces by the gunfire. As most of the shredded corpses continued to drag themselves forward in attack, Nicodemus saw his opportunity to save his men and in a desperate charge ordered his entire force to plow through the enemy and exit out the right side of the arena!

With Holocaust and Tekaro leading the assault, The Ravager Army charged with guns blazing in a bid to make it out of the arena. Seeing his foes begin to escape and how effectively the Centra Guard were cutting down his troops, Murdok let out a cry in his native and dark language. Suddenly, out of the darkness of the arena's interiors, came charging thousands of ghouls!

Like a swarm of locusts, they barreled down the sides of the arena in a great flood of undead aggression. With Ravager Troopers being ripped apart all around him, Nicodemus finally crashed into one of the large stone doors that served as an exit to the arena, only to find countless monsters waiting in the darkness for his forces!

Holocaust jumped back to the front of the pack and liek a living grenade leapt into the zombie throng and activated his SHOCKWAVE! The smell of rotting and burning flesh permeated the arena now as Nicodemus finally led his men out of the arena. 50 yards from the stone structure, he had his forces stop, turn, form a defensive line and open fire!

Nicodemus: We must hold this line until Aegis and his men can escape! They will need our shuttle to get off of this putrid rock!

While the Ravagers attempted to hold off the flood of ghouls on the outside of the arena, Aegis' forces had become surrounded and were fighting desperately back towards the doors they had come in. Sticking back to back, Aegisa and Exodus blasted away at ghouls, shoving, kicking, and clawing their way back to the door. Several Centra Guard had surrounded them in an attempt to protect them, but Aegis watched as one by one, each man was overwhelmed and ripped apart alive.

With the dying shrieks of his shoulders echoing throughout the stone structure and their blood and limbs being flung around like play toys, Aegis finally pushed the large stone door open and fell on his face on the soggy earth of Antilia. Running over him, Exodus quicly grabbed his leader and friend beneath the arms and hefted him up as both turned around and fired on the incoming ghouls in an effort to save the rest of their comrades.

2 or 3 more Centra Guard were able to scramle out of the amphitheater, but most were caught and devoured in the doorway. With all that remained of his forces alongside him, Aegis sprinted toward the Ravager Shuttle. Nicodemus, seeing this, pulled his own faltering forces back and together Ravager and Centran boarded the same shuttle. Thankfully, the shuttle's two machine guns were manned and were able to mow down the still approaching zombie horde.

As the shuttle lifted off and the side door closed, the zombies began to cling to the craft! One ghoul brought itself halfway into the ship and let out a screech as Aegis put his final bullet right through its head. The side door closed all the way, cutting this ghoul in half. Finally, the shuttle reahced an altitude where the monsters could no longer reach it and the beaten and battle weary soldiers of both The Ravager Army and Ramparts of Centra began to make their way to the Ravager Gunship in orbit. Unlike many of their allies, they had just barely escaped with their lives.

THE SCENE: THE RAVAGER GUNSHIP ORBITING ANTILIA

Hustler lay flat on a medical table connected to countless Ravager Medical equipment designed to save his life. Standing over him were Nicodemus and Aegis, who only hours before had escaped the undead hordes of Murdok.

Nicodemus: (motioning to Hustler) The Possessor shredded through his intestinal tract. My doctors tell me we were barely able to save him, and that even now he is only barely alive.

In silence, both leaders looked down at the brave man who had effectively put a stop to Murdok's total victory when he had defeated the Plague Harvester only hours before. Nicodemus broke the solemn silence.

Nicodemus: He will have to forfeit the Essence. There is no way he can defend it.

Aegis: (solemnly) Aye. But, perhaps, it is only because of the Essence that he still lives.

Nicodemus: This is true. However, I believe if we hold a tournament and draw it out over the next two months, this will give him time enough to recuperate. If he is still alive two months from now, he will be able to recover without the Essence.

Aegis: Agreed. Do you have an idea as to how this tournament will operate?

Nicodemus: We will have 2 pools of 4 wrestlers. Each faction will contribute 1 man to each pool. Each pool will hold a small single elimination tournament to decide a pool winner, and at Battle 16, the two pool winners will battle for the One Essence.

Aegis: Murdok will not go along with this.

Nicodemus: But he will, lest his faction be left from the tournament and he have no chance of regaining the Essence.

Aegis: Aye. A tournament it is, then. But...you will leave Hustler with the Essence until Battle 16.

Nicodemus: Very well.

Murdok had done it to himself. After repeatedly ordering his undead audience to attack his enemies, the Plague Harvester had brought the wrath of Nicodemus down upon his home planet as now Nicodemus had brought a Ravager Gunship to the arena and had it hover very close to the coliseum. Murdok could do nothing about it if he wanted his forces to still be included in the One Essence Tournament. As a way to get back at the Ravagers and the Centrans for this, he had left the blood of their fallen allies on the ancient stones of the amphitheater where they were once again about to compete. This grisly display would serve as a reminder of to Murdok’s enemies of his actions and of the horrific deaths of their friends. In fact, some of the ghouls in the crowd this night seemed to be wearing Centra Guard armor.

Aspin Northstar w/ Lance At-Las vs. Jakyll w/ Krypt
Both warriors have a hard time finishing this grueling and high-flying match, but Jakyll uses his experience edge to somehow pull out the win.
WINNER: JAKYLL w/ Krypt

Nemean vs. Grovel
Nemean wins handily and after the match, with no living crowd to play to, has to show off in front of the news crews flying overhead, telling them to “keep your eyes peeled for the 1st Edition of the Nemean Show!”
WINNER: NEMEAN

Nicodemus came down to the ring for the next match and got inside of it, staring directly at Avarice and then Murdok as he spoke.

Nicodemus: (to Avarice) Your greed is not welcome here, Blackheart. You may have been an excellent wrestler in the CWF, but this is war, and I guarantee you that if you continue to meddle in the affairs of this entire dimension, you will pay for it. (Avarice is not impressed as Nicodemus turns to Murdok) Harvester, you committed a grave mistake when you attacked my people, and you must pay for your crimes. (at both) You want to see the true power of the Ravagers? You would like to see our secret weapon? Then you shall see. (toward his locker room) Hybrid! (pointing to Avarice) Attack!

From the darkness of the arena interiors emerged a gigantic monstrosity, oozing sludge from every oraface and breathing heavily and savagely. Avarice took a step back as he watched the monumental creature stalk it’s way to the ring, and even Murdok stood up in surpise at the gargantuan Tribesman of Primus that was entering the ring. Dwarfed in it’s shadow, Avarice could see for the first time that although the creature’s gnashing teeth and slimy claws were feral looking, his eyes appeared dreadfully calm. There was something thinking behind those eyes, and it’s name was Hybrid!

Hybrid vs. Avarice
Avarice showed no fear in attacking right away, and managing to pummel the beast down in a corner. The referee attempted to break the warriors, but was launched across the ring by Hybrid as he furiously came swinging out of the corner! Hybrid tossed Avarice around like a ragdoll, giving the Blackheart a monumental beating and hitting him with the POISON DRIVER! Suddenly, General Rankor came to ringside and leapt upon the apron, prompting Hybrid to lunge at him! The General jumped down and out of harm’s way as Hybrid turned around to be leveraged up into a 7TH SIN, that put the beast away!
WINNER: AVARICE

Avarice had a grueling match, and was proud of being able to squeek by Nicodemus’ terrifying new weapon. Avarice pulled a black rose from his cloak and moved to place it on Hybrid when the Tribesman from the Isle of Non-Believers suddenly grabbed him by the throat and sprung to life! Avarice just barely slipped out of the monster’s clutches and, along with Rankor, was able to run away from the furious monstrosity.

Aegis & The Specialists vs. S&M & Gheist
The Crusade forces in this match were just a slick and slippery teamwork machine, overcoming everything that the ROC threw at them and isolating Scorch for the win with Painmaster’s FACE FIRST CRASH!
WINNERS: S&M & GHEIST

Murdok, in his infinite arrogance, made a thumbs down sign and like a switch, Gheist and Sycophant charged across the ring, knocking Aegis and Shepard from the apron! Meanwhile, PainMaster grabbed his whip, Enslavement, and began to bring it to bear on Scorch! Painmaster now grabbed the injured Rampart and draped him over the ropes with the Masochists Hangman as Painmaster put his knee behind Scorch’s head and dove off the top turnbuckle, doing a deadly FACE FIRST CRASH from the top turnbuckle to the ancient stone arena floor! Aegis and Shepard chased off the Crusade forces and then tried to help Scorch to the back as the Rampart was completely unconscious and pouring blood from his cracked head.

Both warriors engaged in a grueling back and forth war. Eventually, Nicodemus was able to just barely secure victory with the NUCLEAR WINTER.

Paganax vs. Murdok w/ Trisis
Murdok jumped Paganax to start the match, but this only infuriated the Heathen King, who proceeded to dismantle the former Essence Bearer, finishing the match with a bone-crunching PAGAN VOID!
WINNER: PAGANAX (PLANET PRIMUS GAINS STRATEGIC ADVANTAGE AND PAGANAX ADVANCES TO POOL A FINAL!)

Paganax, with fiery hate and anger like never before, lets out a terrifying roar over his fallen foe and storms to the back as Aegis charges the ring, carrying what appears to be one of Hustler’s pistols and wearing one of Scorch’s gloves, which seems to have Primus stones in it! Aegis leaps into the ring as Murdok just gets to his feet.

Aegis: I am not you!

Suddenly, Aegis gives Murdok the PISTOL WHIP! The Plague Harvester drops to his knees in a daze!

Aegis: If you want me, you do NOT go through my friends and soldiers! If you want me-

Aegis then delivers THE TRAILBLAZER, knocking the Dread Lord out cold in the center of his own arena!

Aegis: (standing over Murdok) Then you come get ME!

Aegis then leapt out of the ring and out of the corner of his eye saw Trisis lunge at him! The Rampart turned to her and she stopped in her tracks. Their eyes locked for what seemed an eternity.

Aegis: (before walking away) I have not forgotten you, love. I will save you from him. Just hold on to our memories, and I swear to you, in time we will create more together.

Holocaust vs. Ventross
Ventross gives Holocaust a beating, but Holocaust is able to catch Ventross off guard and blast him with a SHOCKWAVE for the win!
WINNER: HOLOCAUST (HOLOCAUST NOW QUALIFIES FOR ESSENCE CHAMPIONSHIP POOL B)

Holocaust heads to the Ravager Locker Room as Nicodemus stands in the center of the aisle, shaking his head sadly at Ventross, who is still recovering inside the ring. Meanwhile, a pompous Godsend is strolling through the dark halls of Arena Antilia, on his way to the ring for the next match when he suddenly gets slammed up against the stone wall by Shepard, the Vagabond Priest! Suddenly, Exodus appears, and takes two small golden crucifixes and pierces Godsend’s hands with them, pinning him to the wall!

Godsend: (his eyes reddening and his power growing) What the hell is this!?

Shepard: (stepping back and clasping his hands together) I will not allow you to do to NuBorn Destruction what you did to Scorch and I at Battle 10. (now praying along with Exodus) Our father, who art in heaven, hallowed be thy name…

Godsend began to erupt into flames, but as Exodus and Shepard prayed louder, he felt himself being crushed against the wall by an unseen force and all of his power being sucked into the crucifixes! Shepard and Exodus used some sort of ritual to keep Godsend contained to the wall and powerless to escape!

Meanwhile, in the ring, both teams of The Living Dead and NuBorn Destruction awaited their Special Referee. Suddenly, Tekaro jumped Cremator and all four combatants began to brawl! One of the Ravager Referees sprinted to the ring, and the match was on!

TAG ESSENCE CHAMPIONSHIP
NuBorn Destruction vs. The Living Dead w/ Trisis
Tekaro and Cremator spilled to the outside while Warfare and Noxious battled inside the ring, actually starting the match off. Warfare quickly battered Noxious as the ghoul was less agile and less crafty than before. Tekaro got to the apron and Warfare tagged him in as Tekaro went to work on Noxious, putting him in a pinning position with an Antilian Atomic Drop into a bridged german suplex! Cremator now slid into the ring and grabbed a hold of Tekaro’s exposed abdomen, drawing blood as he clawed at it! Warfare came charging in and those two fell to the outside as Noxious and Tekaro both fought to get up first. Tekaro was up and hit Noxious with THE RING OF DESTRUCTION and pinned the ghoul, uniting the Tag Essence and crippling Murdok’s Crusade!
WINNERS AND NEW ESSENCE CHAMPIONS: NUBORN DESTRUCTION

The Essence now kicked into gear as Warfare pulled himself into the ring alongside Tekaro. Tekaro’s Essence unlocked within him and the ancient arena shook as Cremator’s Essence poured out of him and into Warfare! As both warrior’s were lifted into the air a bit, glowing blue tribal tattoo like markings appeared all over Tekaro’s body and Warfare’s mask seemed to glow with power! All of The Ravager Army came down to the ring to celebrate, except for Ventross who stood in the shadows of the arena. With one half of the Essence united within the Ravager Army, Strategic Advantage now belonging to Planet Primus and the One Essence being contested in a tournament, Murdok’s Crusade had been defeated! But, for how long?

LAVA PITS OF PRIMUS
3RD CYCLE-2120

For the past year, Paganax had his loyal Tribes working diligently on constructing a magnificent and glorious arena on Primus that would befit a ruler so powerful as he. Next to Mount Ragnarok, the very volocano that the Molten King had been spawned from, stood another mountain, about three quarters the size of Ragnarok. Using the immense knowledge of tunnel building held by the Krypt Tribe, a large cavern had literally been carved out of the center of the mountain, with long and winding tunnels leading from the mountainside into it’s surprisingly well constructed core arena. Due to the immensity, shape, and design of the amphitheater, the acoustics in the place was immense, making even the smallest of sounds echo with power. As such, the roars and cries of the entirely Tribesman crowd would be deafening. For an entire year, the Heathen Chief had waited for the day when the roars of his brethren would shake the stone ceiling of the arena and now, that day had come. And the Molten King was determined to make it a glorious one for the Tribesmen of Primus!

Shepard vs. The Painmaster w/ Sycophant
Painmaster just barely avoids an EXORCISM to win this back hard fought match with the FACE FIRST CRASH!
WINNER: THE PAINMASTER w/ Sycophant

Sycophant enters the ring, and begins to strangle Shepard with one his suit straps, using the Masochist’s Hangman to set Shepard up for the same fate as his partner Scorch! Painmaster laboriously drags himself to the top turnbuckle and gets into position when Exodus charges the ring and launches the Painmaster off the top, sending him crashing into the solid rock ringside barrier to the thunderous ovation of the Tribesman audience! Sycophant does not have time to react before Exodus launches him from the apron as well, sending him crashing to the floor. Exodus brings Shepard back to the center of the ring while Sycophant pops right up from his fall and The Painmaster grabs him by the hair and, holding his own head, drags him to the back.

The Tribesman made a loud howling noise in unison, their form of boos, as Holocaust arrived for the next match. The crowd was split on the General as he desperately tried to get their support, but in a year had still not been totally accepted. Probably for good reason.

ESSENCE TOURNAMENT POOL B
Holocaust vs. General Rankor
Rankor shows his nasty side as he pummels on Holocaust. Holocaust gives it his all, but Rankor is just too intense and too vicious.
WINNER: GENERAL RANKOR (RANKOR NOW ADVANCES TO POOL B FINAL)

Holocaust, whose head is slightly dented from Rankor’s brutal attacks, staggers back to the Ravager Locker room, passing Ventross on the way. Ventross looks at Rankor celebrating and then at the passing Holocaust and growls while shaking his head.

Aspin wants to shake Warfare’s hand to start the match, but Warfare pushes it away. NuBorn Destruction then take turns pummeling Aspin until he somehow makes the tag to Lance. Lance then gets beaten by the Essence Bearers, until he surprises Tekaro with a karate kick to the chin that knocks him flat, allowing Lance to pick the surprise 1-2-3!
WINNERS: THE LIGHT BRIGADE

Warfare can’t believe it, but instead of getting angry, actually congratulates Lance and Aspin! Now that the fight is over, he has no problems shaking their hands while they all help Tekaro up. There is a racket in the crowd as Noxious and Cremator suddenly appear and shamble into the ring! Lance and Aspin hold back as NuBorn Destruction goes on the attack. Suddenly, Lance sees Aspin get struck from behind and turns to get hit attacked himself by Krypt of Darkness Falls! The loud roaring of the crowd should have tipped him off to their arrival.

Cremator and Tekaro battle to the floor as Aspin kicks Jakyll away and into Warfare. Those two begin to brawl as Noxious turns his hungry undead eyes on Aspin and charges! Aspin tries to move but gets pinned in the corner by the zombie as Noxious opens his mouth wide and bears his teeth, just inches from chomping on Aspin’s throat! Lance sees this and grabs Krypt by the jaws, prying them apart despite his hands being torn up on the Tribesman’s teeth! Lance eventually throws Krypt away, scrambles to his feet, and for the first time in the war, takes action against Noxious by launching him over the top rope and sending him to the rock floor below!

Having lost his fighting with Tekaro, Cremator now moves over to his partner and together they begin to retreat. Darkness Falls pull themselves together outside of the ring, leaving NuBorn Destruction and The Light Brigade standing tall. Aspin, who realizes what Lance overcame to save his life, thanks his friend and mentor. Lance shakes his head and instead thanks Aspin for finally awakening him to the truth: Meteor is dead, and will not come back.

ESSENCE TOURNAMENT POOL B
Aegis vs. Godsend
Aegis charges Godsend and whips him into the ropes, going for a spinning elbow smash! Suddenly, he sees Murdok dragging Trisis toward the ring and stops in mid-maneuver! This one opening gave Godsend more opportunity than he needed as he locked on HELL’S THRESHOLD! Aegis was unable to break the hold, and the referee called for the bell when Aegis stopped responding!
WINNER: GODSEND (GODSEND NOW ADVANCES TO POOL B FINAL)

The once proud and ‘godlike’ Dread Lord dragged Trisis to the ring with his putrid face contorted into hate and rage. He tossed the Queen of the Damned into the ring and entered behind her, barking at Godsend to leave. Godsend complied, his own face twisted into hate as he stalked off. Murdok grabbed Trisis by the hair and stood next to where Aegis, still barely conscious, layed.

Murdok: (as Trisis struggles) After hearing reports from my subjects about the events of Battle 13, it is clear that this little bitch still has feelings for you. At the last battle, you told me that if I wanted you, I should come get you. Well, I know your ludicrously weak and fragile heart beats for this whore! And apparently, the rotten remnants of her heart still beat for you! So, I’ve decided you deserve each other!

Suddenly, Murdok pulled Trisis close to him, restrained her, grabbed her ring finger that still had her and Aegis wedding ring on it, and ripped it right from the rest of her rotting hand! She screamed in pain as green and chunky blood spewed from the wound and Murdok covered her mouth as he threw her finger into Aegis’ face.

Murdok: There! That way you can be with each other until I make you my undead slave, Aegis! Don’t say I never gave you anything!

With that, Murdok tossed Trisis from the ring and dragged her back to his locker room. Aegis had been awake enough to know what was happening, and now was awake enough to recognize the ring attached to the severed finger on the canvas next to him. Still groggy, Aegis grabbed the finger, and with his face in the mat as he began to pull himself up, made Murdok a promise.

Aegis: (groggy and sobbing at the same time) I will send you back to the grave…I will bury you myself…

Primal drums echoed off of the cavernous arena walls as the main event was about to begin. The crowd hissed and howled at Hybrid as it made it’s way to the ring, the first competitor for The Ravager Army. Then, like Rankor, the crowd was split as Planet Primus’ first combatant appeared: the Blackheart himself, Avarice!

-Avarice runs circles around Hybrid, leveraging the beast up and taking him out rather quickly with the 7TH SIN! The crowd cheers Avarice for this but begins to howl and hiss once more when Ventross appears!

-Avarice attempts to lay a black rose across Hybrid, but Ventross is already in the ring and on the attack! Amazingly, it doesn’t take long for Avarice to reverse the momentum, fend off Ventross’ one and only attempt to regain the offensive, and put him away with a shining wizard! By now, the Tribesman crowd is really behind Avarice as he simply smirks and awaits his next foe: Nemean! Nemean makes his way to the ring badmouthing the Tribesmen and getting them very riled up.

-Nemean gets into the ring and gets right into Avarice’s face, saying “I have come here to chew bubble gum and kick ass! And I’m all out of bubblegum!” This apparently took Avarice by surprise as Nemean was then able to lock on a half nelson. Avarice recovered and slipped right out, kneeing Nemean in the gut and planting him with the 7TH SIN for his 3rd easy elimination in a row! Avarice layed a black rose across Nemean and then kicked him out of the ring, waiting for Nicodemus.

-Nicodemus appeared, looking very focused. He faced an uphill battle now against 4 very worthy warriors, the first of which had just eliminated 3 of his best men effortlessly. As Nicodemus got into the ring, Avarice pulled another black rose from his cloak, and put it to his face. He then smiled, exited the ring, and walked half way up the aisle. Nicodemus looked confused until Avarice, who had by now been counted out, turned back to him.

Avarice: I can see now that the competition here is just not at my level. I don’t want to crush the spirits of your army entirely. Not yet, anyway. And I think this contest is unfair. So, I’ll eliminate myself to level the playing field for you. And though I spare you the black rose for nor (walking to ringside with a rose and placing it on the ground) I’ll just leave this here as a symbol for the things that could have been. I bid you farewell until we meet again, Nicodemus. Good luck.

With that, Avarice turned and left, passing a savage Grovel who was on his way to the ring.

-Nicodemus pounded Grovel into mush, forcing the Tribesman to grab hold of the referee and try to use him as a shield! When Grovel would not let go, the referee was forced to disqualify him!

-Nicodemus survives a SHOCK AND AWE to mount a comeback and hit his NUCLEAR WINTER for the win! Nicodemus picks himself up off of the canvas as drums begin to rumble and the crowd hits a fever pitch for the arrival of the Fire Beast, Paganax!

-Nicodemus puts up a small fight, but is left alone to be slaughtered as Paganax obliterates him and choke him out with the Face Smothering, securing final victory!
SURVIVOR: PAGANAX (PLANET PRIMUS)

With his crowd going wild around him and molten blood flowing through his veins, Paganax stood Nicodemus up and delivered a PAGAN VOID for good measure! Standing over his foe, Paganax roared out.

Paganax: NICODEMUS, SEE YOU AT NEXT BATTLE IN ESSENCE POOL FINAL!

And that's a darn shame I say. all Centra Entertainment looks awesome, but playing out the Battle for Centra storyline can only make it better!

---We interrupt this broadcast for a live special report from the House of Centra Parliament Building, Centrapolis---

Aegis is seen standing at a podium on the grandiose front staircase of the House. Beside him is Lance At-Las and gathered behind him are several stoic and old men in suits. A slight wind is picking up, as Aegis begins to speak.

Aegis: My brothers and sisters of Centra Prime, I have decided to hold this press conference to inform you, the bravest of citizens, of the ROC's current efforts against the Crusade. I know the widespread suffering that has fallen on our planet and her moons, and I know that in these times the future seems bleak and hope seems distant. However, I have come here today to provide you with hope: the hope that one day our children can know peace. Early this morning, I myself recieved two pieces of information that gave me hope, and I would like to share them with all of you.

First, through negotiations and close cooperation with the Ravager Race, The Ravagers have completed the first batch of vaccine for the Plague. In addition, within the week this first batch will be transported to Centrapolis and distributed throughout the still open districts of the city! While the Ravagers have yet to weaponize this vaccine, and the supply amount will be only a trickle, this first batch is just the beginning and I believe that in time and with stalwart observation and care from the residents of Centrapolis, we can keep anyone else from being infected by The Plague and we can stop any more districts from having to be quarantined!

Secondly, through the efforts of our brave soldiers in the aCe and also through the efforts of Ravager soldiers in the aCe, Murdok's Crusade has been stripped of The Essence. His forces had been growing smarter and faster due to the powers of the Essence, but without it they have quickly reverted back to their normal nature. At zero 600 hours early this morning, I recieved a message from the commanding officer in charge of the current military actions on our moons that for the first time in the past 4 and a half months of fighting, the Crusade forces on Mecatoid and the Palladium have begun to be pushed back! It is with great pleasure that I bring this news to all of you. Reports are saying that infected sectors are being dispersed and eradicated systematically at this point and it is my hope that within the next two months, our forces can come home! Brothers and sisters of Centra I-

THE NEMEAN SHOW!

With your host, the vastly popular NEMEAN!

Nemean walks out onto a small stage with a red and sparling curtain behind. On the curtain, in large shining gold block letters is written 'The Nemean Show'. The brash one takes center stage and waves off canned applause. When the sound effect dies down, Nemean begins to speak.

Nemean: Welcome one and all to the very 1ST edition of the NEMEAN SHOW! (more canned applause) I'm your host Nemean, as if you didn't know me already. Tonight is a very special night and we have a very special guest for this edition. He is a ferocious warrior who strikes fear into the hearts of Tribesmen, zombies, humans, and even some Ravagers! He was once a proud Ravager Shield, but is now hailed as a deserter and a heretic, everybody give a big round of applause for Ventross!

Ventross appears on screen to more canned applause and looks around as if confused. Nemean takes a seat behind a wooden desk and beckons the mighty Ventross to do the same. Ventross eventually complies, just barely fitting his massive frame into the chair and continues to look around.

Ventross: Nemean, you didn't say anything about all this when you begged to meet here. What is-

Nemean: Welcome, Ventross! How have you been lately? Now, what's this I hear about you deserting the Ravager Army?

Ventross: Nemean what the hell is all this? I didn't come here-

Nemean: I mean, you claim that you are opposed to the ways of the Ancients, yet just at the last battle you participated in a Battlezone Match to help us out. Tough luck against that Avarice guy, huh. We can't win them all, you know.

Ventross: Even though I don't agree with the Ancients, I'm not going to abandon my race during this time of war. Just the opposite, I'm deserting because I DO love my peop- what the hell am I doing? I'm not answering any of your silly questions!

Nemean: So at Battle 15 your nemesis, General Rankor may come one step closer to achieveing the Essence of Centra again. Your thoughts?

Ventross: That Traitorous monster will NEVER be the Essence Bearer again! I will do whatever I have to to whomever I have to to keep that from happening again! As long as Rankor breathes, I will hunt him! I will go where he goes, and I will see what he sees! I will not stop until I watch his funeral!

Nemean: Some strong words, there Ventross. Some say you just can't back them up any longer, though. Some people are saying maybe you're just a bit too old to be doing this stuff any more. Some people-GAH!

Ventross reached across the desk and dragged Nemean across it, pulling him face to face!

Ventross: (growling) I have sacrificed every part of my body for our race, you sniveling brat! And I will continue to sacrifice until there is nothing left of me! But one way or the other, I WILL be around to watch Rankor die! Now I'm done with this foolishness!

Ventross pushed Nemean back into his chair, got up and stormed offstage. Nemean looked stunned for a moment, but then quickly regained his bearings and addressed the camera.

Nemean: Well, that's all the time we have with Ventross today! We have to go to commercial, but when we come back musical guests The Rotting Corpses will be here!
