The first three cards are re-posted from the other board.. I'll probably be playing #4 tonight.
POW1: Back to Basics
Dark Matches: Silas over JJ Smooth by submission
Silas wins quickly, locking Smooth in a knee bar. Smooth's corner woman (his mom) quickly threw in the towel and rushed to the ring while Silas raised his arms in victory.
Post-Match from Silas: "Now that I have the red neck, I could whip the back side of an elephant. There is no stopping me!"
Serpentine 'knocks out' Nano with 1 punch
Serpentine launched a jab at Nano after the opening bell, and Nano fell like a stone to the canvas, prompting the referee to quickly jump in and stop the fight. Nano re-assembled itself quickly and said "Let's Play!". It was very dissappointed to find the match was over. The learning curve for how to deal with the POW's newest fighter clearly will be a steep one.
Jack of Diamonds defeats Matinee Idol via stoppage with elbow strikes
Matinee Idol looked strong starting out, but the veteran Jack was able to work through his guard and ground and pound his way to the win.
Post-Match quotes : Jack: "I've been around enough to know how to win a fight! I can't wait for those OFC ringers to under estimate me.
Franco: "That-sa crazy! My boy had lotsa gas left ina his tank. The referees-a afraida Team Franco!"
Shylock gets Nero to tap out
The fans were really on their feet for Shylock, who made Nero look like a dumb brute in a masterful performance.
Post Match quote: Shylock: "I won't forget what you did to Rhee, 'Saboteur'. You're on borrowed time!"
Scion Nexus def. Crucible via referee stoppage (arm bar)
Competitive match early on, but Crucible left a clear opening for Nexus. He refused to tap, and forced the referee to step in when a sickening pop echoed through the arena. ---------------------------------------------- Cruiserweight Placement Matches (Title will be decided at POW3)
Note: The match ups here were shuffled by Jack Hood just before the event. He says he wanted to make sure no one had an advantage using 'too much thinkin' and plannin', but rather wanted the best fighters to carry the day.
Stigma def. Ahnu via ref stoppage (Mounted elbows)
Great match that really showed why many think the Cruiserweight division is the best of the POW. This one went over 25 minutes, and both men were bloody and exhausted at the end. (Stigma had 6 tokens (4 KO, 2 Sub) and Ahnu 8 (4 each))
Pendekar def. Euritar via tap out (Juji Getami) Classic match up between a wrestler and a striker. This was another great battle that could have gone either way.
Post Match Quote Pendekar "It it fitting I fight Stigma for the first championship. We will not dissappoint."
--------------------------------------------------- Heavyweight Placement Matches
Saboteur KO's Absalom (spinning back fist)
Absalom held out as long as he could, but the result was never really in doubt. Saboteur seemed nervous after the match and left before the post match interview.
Cypher Knocks out Indigo quickly (hip Throw)
Suprisingly quick match, Indigo didn't have much to offer here.
Post Match: Indigo: "This was definately not my best fight. The turmoil of the True Way is clearly effecting my focus. I must meditate on this." ----------------------------------------------------
Womens Title Match
Rhiannnon Knocks Out Morgana (Combo Punches) to become the POW Women's Champion
Rhiannon's fury was truly remarkable, as if all the rage of the last few months was focused into this one match. Once the fight was stopped, she dropped to her knees and had to be helped to the back by Shylock.
------------------------------------------
Super Heavyweight Title Match
Pre -Match quote: Cordanus: "You're can't seriously believe that a mutated freak has any chance to defeat the greatest fighter in the history of the galaxy, do you? I'm insulted we even have to have the match."
Rubicon stuns Mensar with a knock out (uppercut counter) to become the first POW Superheavyweight Champion
Mensar dominated the match early, though he was cut open by one vicious punch by Rubicon. Mensar moved in for the kill when Rubicon ducked under a jab and landed a perfect uppercut that put Mensar's lights out.

POW Wrap-up
two injuries to report:
-- Olivia Swinden, JJ Smooth's manager and mother, claims JJ torn his MCL as a result of his match, and will be out about 2 months. She deflected all questions to JJ directly, who didn't seem to be having all that much trouble getting around. -- Crucible hyper extended his elbow by refusing to tap out to Scion's arm bar, and will be out about 6 weeks. He expressed regret in an interview this week. "I wanted to show that I could be as tough as the next guy in this new format. Now I have a few weeks to think about it"
News and Notes
-- Commissioner Hood has fired the referee that stopped Nano's debut fight so quickly. Nano and Serpentine will have another match at POW2 to get a 'real' result
-- Pendekar has asked his title match with Stigma get pushed back to POW4, to insure his rival and partner is at full strength for what he promises will be an epic battle. The commissioner promised to address the issue at POW2
-- Qualitar attempted to get an interview with new Superheavyweight champ Rubicon, but the former charge of Dr. Barnabas seemed confused buy the attention. At last, he understood Qualitar wanted him to talk, and he did so. "Winning is good. (taps belt) I'll keep this a while"

POW2: Authority
Dark Matches:
Pre-Match: Jack of Diamonds rolls out his father and GWF/CPC legend to a front row set.. those nearby give a very respectful cheer as he acknowledges the crowd. Excalibur walked over to him and shook his hand before his match.
Excalibur def. Taurine by ref stoppage (high Crotch pick up/slam)
After some early back and forth action, Excalibur delivered a devastating slam and pounce on Taurine, leading the referee to jump in and stop the fight. Taurine was visibly limping back to the dressing room.
Brainstorm gets Quetzal to tap quickly (Kimura Armlock)
Very quick, dominant victory for Brainstorm here.
Post Match Interview: Brainstorm: "Pendekar. Stigma. Thayne. Even 'Duck Boy' Marlowe. They're all getting more attention, more praise, than the smartest man to ever enter the squared circle... I'm told I may not even be aired on Holovision. At least I can put the PoW staff, and you, the fans here, on notice: Now that we've entered the realm of Mixed Martial Arts, there is NO ONE who can match my strategy. I will be the Cruiserweight Champion, its only a matter of time"
Gunnar def. Gordo by Knockout (Mounted Punches)
Gordo didn't look at all confortable in the MMA setting, and Gunnar took quick advantage.
Pre-Match: Latasha had, by far, the biggest entrance of the POW era, including Pyro, Red Carpet, and Franco walking ahead filming her every move. Her gold laced cape was worthy of royalty, as long as you didn't look too closely at it. In contrast, her opponent, Xenia, entered simply, to "Tradition" from the ancient Russian movie "Fiddler on the Roof"
Xenia def. Latasha with a Leaping Elbow Strike
One shot was all it took. Latasha completely fell apart at the sight of blood coming from her nose and fled the ring area.
Post Match: Latasha ran into Mad Jester on her way to the back, getting a bit of blood on him. He looked at it for a moment, smiled, then doused her in Ketchup from his ever present squeeze bottle before thanking her and heading out to the ring for his match.
Back in the Ring: Mike Fortune place a near life size picture of Hanuman in a neutral corner.
Mike Fortune def. Mad Jester by knockout (Snap Kick)
Almost as quick as the previous match!
Post-Match: Fortune "You see that unconscious waste of flesh there in the center of the ring? He was just a warm up.... a message. Just think what will happen when it's your turn" Fortune then destroyed the picture and left the shreds in the ring and departed.
------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Televised Portion:
Pre-Match: Both Zed and Talon paid their respects to Exo-King at ringside, and shook hands before the contest.
Talon Def. Zed Marlowe by tap out (knee bar)
Definately the match of the night! Zed attempted to keep the match upright, but Talon was able to roll with his striking enough to make it more of a mat contest. Zed showed a wide array of skills, but Talon was even more impressive, and matched and countered his every move. The crowd gave the two men a huge ovation after the match.
(Hanuman is in the ring, for his match against Puma, when the Commissioner stops the match from starting)
Commissioner Hood: I hope you're enjoying the show so far, me boyos! I just needa ta correct a slight error in the fight card. Its not HANUMAN that will face Puma tonight, but HADRIAN. I dinnae know typos could be such a serious matter!
(The Commissioner laughs, flashing his metal teeth, and stares straight at a fan in the back of the arena wearing a hood to cover his/her face. The fan is shaking under the glare, and leaves the arena)
Hadrian def. Puma by TKO (Guillotine Choke)
Both 'men' were extremely confused at the start, and seemed as if they wouldn't fight until Hood gave them a bit of motivation (in the form of two slaps upside the head). Once the match got started, Puma dominated, but his fellow creation was able to lock in a Guillotine out of nowhere to get the suprising victory.
Serpentine def. Nano via tap out (Choke)
Hood actually introduced his new referee before the match, and the man very nearly had a heart attack when Serpentine once again dropped Nano with a vicious punch to start the match. The referee looked over to Hood with concern, and the hesitation saved his job (and perhaps more) as Nano popped back up and said "Let's Play more!" Despite its enthusiasm, Nano was no match for Serpentine this night.
Romulus def. Dante by KO (high kick)
The upsets continue as the Punk shocks the crowd with a high kick right on the chin of Dante, who crumpled like a sack of potatoes. Dante came to just a couple seconds later and was furious at the stoppage, vowing to take the matter to the commissioner.
Thayne def. TK by KO (flying knee) The crowd went wild for Thayne, with 'Free the Three' chants echoing throughout the arena. TK was completely overmatched here and never really mounted much offense.
Post Match: Thayne: Ahnu! You know where to find me! Don't wait too long though.. I don't care if where or when I find you, as long as I get my hands on you. My family won't have to wait long, I promise you!"
(The crowd had started to file out when the Commissioner one again got into the ring. He started out by removing his jacket)
Commissioner Hood: Ya don't want to be leaving just yet, me boyos! Pendekar came to me with a request, ta hold off crowning your first Cruiserweight champion anothe' few weeks, since his partner and opponent got whupped pretty bad in his win. I'm a fair man, Pendekar, but POW isn't for wussies! Here's what I'm gonna do for ya... You come on down to the ring, and I'll rough ya up some, so everything will be nice and even. Ring the bell!
(Pendekar slowly walks to the ring, then removes his clothes, clearly embarassed to be in his 'skivvies' but not willing to battle a dangerous opponent with the hinderance of non-fighting clothes. Hood cackled with glee and charged into action)
Pendekar def. Jack Hood by tap out (Calf Slicer)
Hood clearly meant what he said, and stood up at every oppertunity, showering blow after blow down on the much smaller Pendekar with no regard to defense. Pendekar's submission skills won out in the end, but he took a real beating during the match.

POW Wrap-up
Injury Report:
- Latasha didn't actually have any damage to her nose or face, just a cut. However, Franco has stated he wants to be sure she looks her best in the ring, so his new diva will not appear in public until the cut fully heals and the scar can be tended to. (Latasha will miss 6 weeks)
-- Taurine as a pulled Groin as a result of the ackward slam he took at the hands of Excalibur. Romulus claims he will avenge his partner against what the Punks think were 'dirty tactics' (Taurine out 12 weeks)
-- While both are fairly battered and bruised, Stigma and Pendekar will indeed face off for the new POW Cruiserweight Title at POW3.
News and Notes:
-- Though still on suspension, Dr. Barnabas is reported claiming unfair bias against his wrestlers. Commissioner Hood pointed out that he only has two wrestlers, and those two men can, and will, fight whoever he sees fit, regardless of past alliances.
-- Hood has granted Dante an immediate re-match with Romulus for POW3. "I like that kinda attitude" said the Commissioner.
-- When questioned about his actions at "Authority" Hood simply stated, "this is my show. i'll run it as I always have, with Iron Jaws and Iron Will. If you don't like it, go watch those GWF pansies."

POW3: Champions
Dark Matches
Pre-Match: Commissioner Hood told the in house crowd that only in an organization as great as POW could two men who were superstars be the opening act. He got a big pop from the crowd, but his talent in the ring seems a bit annoyed.
Brainstorm knocks out Scion Nexus (straight left)
This one was a bit of a snooze fest, with the referee stepping in to stand the men up on several occasions. The end came out of nowhere when Brainstorm timed a punch perfect to connect right after a break to drop Nexus.
Dante gets Romulus to tap
Dante was all business in this rematch, and the crowd seemed to appreciate it. Romulus never really mounted any offense here.
Post Match: Dante had very little to say, surprisingly. He thanked the crowd for supporting him and vowed to continue to provide them with great fights before heading to the back.
Raze wins by referee stoppage over Matinee Idol (mounted punches)
Very impressive debut for Raze. He won quickly, without really taking any punishment.
Post Match: While Franco was helping Idol to the back, and trying to fix his hair, Nano bound out to the ring before its entrance music and met them half way. It formed itself into a comb within the containment suit, then realize that wouldn't help and gave a sort of shrug before heading to the ring.
Morgana wins by tap-out over Nano (Triangle Choke)
The was by far Nano's most impressive appearance to date. It got some good shots in and seems to have Morgana stunned at a couple points, but was unable to follow up. ----------------------------------
Silas def. Hanuman by TK (STF)
Silas looked truly unstoppable on the ground here, and seems like a real threat to the super-heavy title.
Post-Match: Xenia past Silas on her way to the ring area, and had a brief exchange with him.. he seemed to keep pointing to the back of his neck. Xenia finally shoved past him.
Xenia knocks out Desdemona (Mounted Elbows)
Desdemona came out strong, but seems to lose focus when there was a brief commotion in the crowd. It seems the hooded man Commissioner Hood noticed last card was back, and security was after him. The brief opening was all Xenia needed to take the victory.
Post Match: Xenia: "Once I take the Women's title back to Mother Russia where it belongs, ALL Russians, even ones with red necks, will surely rally to the home country and show the Galaxy where all true warriors come from"
Mensar demolishes Gunnar, on his way to a tap out victory (bent arm lock)
Quick, one-sided affair.
Post-Match: Cordanus: Hood! You two bit carnival attraction! You had better have Mensar's rematch at the freak on nature on the schedule! Remember who you're dealing with here... I've put one federation out of business, this small time Canis and Equine show is out of its league.
POW Heavyweight Title Match Cypher gets Saboteur to tap to a knee bar to become the 1st POW Heavyweight champion!
Back and forth action from the start, both striking and on the ground. Cypher was able to get a few good shots in while rolling well with Saboteur's, and eventually got good position on the ground to set up the knee bar.
POW Cruiserweight Title Match Pendekar def. Stigma to become the 1st POW Cruiserweight champ! (calf slicer)
The cliche 'human chess match' was never truer than this one. The crowd was ohhhing and ahhhing throughout at the move and counter move of these too OFC vets. Pendekar finally got the victory when the referee stepped in (Stigma refused to tap). After the decision, Pendekar shook hands with his opponent and the two walked to the back together.

POW Wrap-Up
-- No injuries from POW3
-- Commissioner Hood has announced that he will fight Mensar at POW4: Indomitable, and will give Mensar a re-match against Rubicon if he wins. He's also promised a 'special treat' for Cordanus if HE won.
-- Faustus Grael has announced he has signed a former GWF wrestler to a POW contract, and he will debut at POW6
-- When told he would get a chance at the Super Heavyweight Title, Silas was very excited, then excused himself to get some 'brew-skis' to celebrate.

Wow, lots to catch up on here, but it looks cool! I'm glad Pendekar is doing something for you, because he's in a slump for me.

Wow, lots to catch up on here, but it looks cool! I'm glad Pendekar is doing something for you, because he's in a slump for me. That's what you get for ranking him so high above Euritar and Ahnu. You've cursed him.

POW4: Indomitable
Jack of Diamonds def. Mad Jester with a rear naked choke
Quick, easy win for Jack... Jester was more interested in squirting ketchup into the stands than fighting.
Post Match: Jack: Twice now, I've beaten my opponent quickly and easily... I want a real fighter next month! Let the wannabes and clowns sell the popcorn or something, I'm hear to entertain this crowd! (small pop)
TK def. Talon with an Arm Lock
Another quick match.. Talon was the one to bring the fight to the ground, but left an easy opening for TK to take advantage of.
Indigo def. Excalibur by tap out (arm lock)
The trend of the night continued with another easy victory.
Post Match: Excalibur was furious at him for allowing Indigo to trap him, and rattled the cage while letting go a tirade at a heckling fan. The crowd, who was supportive at first, let him have it as he was wisely hustled away by security.
Hadrian def. Gordo by referee stoppage (Ground and Pound)
Both men had struggled in their first MMA fight, but this one was an excellent contest. Gordo staggered the big synthetic Ani-man several times during the fight, but Hadrian seemed to be able to draw on some sort of reserve strength and rally back each time.
(Televised Portion begins)
Ahnu def. Quetzal in short order by tap out (Rear Naked Choke)
Quetzal never stood a chance... another quick, one sided fight.
Post Match: Ahnu got loud jeers and 'free the three' chants were quickly started and raised to deafening levels. Ahnu ripped the mic away from the interviewer.
Ahnu: See that Thayne! That's what you can expect when you face me! These cretins can chant all they want, it won't change the fact that I'm superior to you in every way. I hope you kissed her goodbye, you'll not have a chance again! --------
As Nero headed out to the cage, Dr. Barnabas came from the back to accompany him, apparently finished with his suspension, until Jack Hood stood in his path. Hood called for a mic.
Hood: Ahh, me good Doctor, what are ye doin' here? You suspension has just begun! (Barnabas begins to protest, when Hood motions to the holotron, where footage of a hooded man is seen exiting the arena... the hold is removed to reveal Barnabas) The way I see it, me boyo, you haven't even begun to be punished. Take'im away, boys! (Barnabas is escorted away by security)
Nero def. Absalom by tap out (Arm Lock]
Dr. Barnabas being expelled seemed to really light a fire under Nero, who took Absalom apart. Absalom tapped quickly, but Nero was less quick to release the hold, and even fought with security as they pulled him off.
Thayne def. Euritar by TKO (Naked Strangle)
This one was a real war on the ground, with both men having the upper hand at times. The referee stood the fighters up several times, but both men seemed determined to finish on the ground. Euritar gave Thayne his back trying to roll out of arm bar and got choked out.
Shylock def. Raze by tap out (knee bar)
Good match, but never any doubt as to the victor
Post Match:
Shylock: It's only a matter of time before I have the Heavyweight title, then, 'Saboteur', you'll have to come to me... I'll be waiting.
Mensar def. Jack Hood by referee Stoppage (Ground and Pound)
With Cordanus shouting instructions throughout, Mensar slugged it out with the commissioner, but Hood's iron jaw wouldn't budge. Mensar finally switched tactics, and the brawler from Pleadies was quickly in a compromising position.
Post Match: Cordanus jumped around as if he had just fought the match, and promised Mensar would be the next Super Heavyweight champion.
Superheavyweight Title Match Silas def. Rubicon by Tap out (STF) to win the Superheavyweight title!
In what has to be considered an upset, Silas took the best shots Rubicon could muster and never faltered. Once the fight went to the ground, Silas showed amazing skills for a big man and twisted the monster into a pretzel.
Post-Match: Gordo hit the ring with 'brew-skis' to celebrate, followed shortly by Mensar and Cordanus.. who muted the rednecks with their unspoken challenge as the show ended.
