I find the enthusiasm for a set like this ironic given that when Tom released the first female wrestlers in the GWF, Ms. Liberty, Cassandra, Supernova, Amazonia, etc, the general response from the GWF faithful was that Tom had wasted a spot in the set that could have been used for another "real" wrestler.

Well like all parts of wrestling, women's wrestling is cyclical. When the first COTG wrestlers came out was around the time the WWE was starting their diva experiment.
Nowadays you have Shimmer and TNA that puts on legit women's matches so the interest is higher than it was a few years ago.

i voted yes but I haven't played GWF in a long time, only play Legends now. I'd kinda like to see a Legends set of 8 women, 2 midgets, a manager, and 1 guy wrestler. I don't know how well it would sell if it was mostly LOTF women though. I think it would need to be a set like Madusa, Wendy Richter, Misty Blue Simms, Molly Holly, Bull Nakano, Trish Strattus, Lita and Ivory to really make enough people want to buy it.

I agree that women's wrestling is cyclical, but if I'm not mistaken when the first GWF women wrestlers came out, the WWF had Molly Holly, Ivory, Jackie, Trich Strattus, Lita, Sable and Stacey Kiebler under contract. While Ivory started in GLOW, she had worked to become a good wrestler. Jackie used to wrestle as Miss Texas in the older 80's women's feds, and Molly and Lita were trained wrestlers before coming to WWF. Only Stacey and Sable were T&A eye candy. The current WWF T&A divas trend didn't come about until after most of these women had been let go by WWF. If women's wrestling is more popular now it isn't solely because the talent is better, its because of the physical attributes of the women. I have seen women's matches on TNA's TV broadcasts, and the overall quality of most of the competitors isn't much better than POW.
