To keep this fun Danielson stuff alive, we all know by now Danielson was a fan of COTG growing up and Thantos was his favorite.
So a simple question: Who'd win Bryan Danielson or Thantos?
First, why would they win. We know their strengths and weaknesses.
Second, don't give me the crap that a wrestler today can't compete with a GWF guy. Please don't spill that crap.
If that was the case, Gotch, Hackenschmidt, Londos, Turk, etc wouldn't be able to compete with Danny Doring (since the time frames of the peaks of these early guys to a guy like Danielson is comparable to the peak of Danielson vs Thantos, about 100 years)
Wrestling is wrestling...pick your winner and why.

Thantos because when he slaps on his finisher very few can break it at least in my fed.

Thantos was the top GWF wrestler in his time, only Star Warrior and Wolf were close. Danielson maybe the best "pure wrestler" at the moment but for someone to compete with Thantos I think you would need Triple H, Edge, Randy Orton, Kurt Angle. It has nothing to do with me thinking ROH as minor league or anything but I see Danielson on the same level as CM Punk, AJ Styles and Christopher Daniels. Triple H, Edge, Randy Orton and Kurt Angle are just the top stars of today and would be equal to Thantos. Maybe Danielson would be better matched against Krakan or Lord Nexus.

Thantos is way too strong - and just as agile - as Bryan Danielson. I think Thantos wins. If Danielson can survive a MASTERLOCK, though, he may get into the head of Thantos! I may run this match later tonight  |
