I like 2089, it gives some time for the Galactic title to gain some cred and history behind it before introducing a secondary singles title

Of the choices offered on the poll, I voted for 2088. In my pertsonal GWF fed, I introduced the InterPlanetary Championship in late 2087 with Wolf winning a tournament to become my forst InterPlanetary Championship (ironically Wolf is actually also my current InterPlanetary Champion and I'm almost cuaght up because my fed is in late 2123.) I started mine in 2087 as well, with Lord Nexus winning a tournament to become the first champion. It's currently held, in 2090 by "The Immortal One" Diablo, a self created bootleg.

I brought it in originally in 2088 after the new batch of guys came in from "Invasion". In my online restart I am about to crown the Interplanetary champ in the last week of October '87, as guys from Invasion have been trickling in since September.
I say 2088.

midway through 88 is a great time to start hyping the tournament. have it near the end of the year, that way, depending on who wins, you could have a run-in from somebody on the 89 expansion. A great way to get a new feud worked in for the beginning of 2089 I think this is a great idea.

I like the idea of bringing it in 2088. 2087 is such a year of change and new beginnings and utter turmoil. The code has just been broken, you're determining new champions... it's intense and really what can match 2087? It's nice to start 2088 off with a big bang (like the IP championship tournament) sort of as a "The GWF is never going to slow down! There will always be new and exciting things happening!"
Weird?

I meant to vote for 2089 and I hit 2090 instead.
The reason I would go for 2089 is that only 5 of the 12 new cards are 'regular' wrestlers. You could add the drama of crtowning the first IP champion to inhance the storylines and 'hopefully', keep everything from getting stale.

Early 88 seems like a great time to introduce it, especially with Bishop Hell, Mesmer, Spike and Splatter in the mix!

I would have to go with 2088 as well, but near the end of the year. They can build up to it with some qualifying matches and allow some great match-ups and such. It will also allow for the first 15 slots to be filled and then have a battle royal to qualify for the last slot as the first match of the PPV/Large Card that will house the tourny.
