Watching Green Bay and San Fran. I am shaking my head at seeing the 49ers rolling out Brandon Allen at QB. It was just two years ago they had Trey Lance, Jimmy Garoppolo and Brock Purdy. Of course, due to injuries Brock was put into the starting position and did great. Now I understand they could not keep the other two with Brock looking like the real deal and their future. But they should have kept one for a backup just in case of a situation like today.

Somebody at NFL's web site needs to check their calendar. They said after the Lions play the Bears on Thanksgiving they get a mini bye before playing the Packers. That is true usually after the Thanksgiving game but not this year. We play the Pack next Thursday. So, it is the usual 7 days between games.

In a surprise the Lions have cut James Houston. Talk about a flash in the pan. It was just a couple years ago he wasn't used in the first half and went on a tear for second half of the season starting right around this time of the year. Since then it's been injuries or no production. I wonder what happened.

I was hoping to break the Thanksgiving losing streak but now I am not sure. Decker is out. Davis is out. Raymond was put on IR. St. Brown and Montgomery are both questionable although I expect both to play especially Montgomery. Our depth is really being tested.

It's a Thanksgiving miracle. I though for sure there going down the stretch we would lose once again. We won but we are the walking wounded. Green Bay, the game in Chicago and especially Buffalo will be wars and we might not win one of them. Limping into the playoffs.

Looking at the rest of the schedule and I think the Lions, Packers and Vikings could and likely will end up with at least 13 wins each. Imagine that. One team could finish 13-4 and be in THIRD PLACE in the division.
