Well it was nice to get a win this game did not fill me with hope. Contain their running game and pick their QB off three times and still barely win. I think Patricia is feeling the heat. He leaned on the 35 yr old vet Peterson and hardly used his two young RBs. Either that or are running game is really in trouble.
Saints will be a L but the next two weeks could be a W. The Atlanta game will be interesting because this year Atlanta looks a lot like the Lions. Not much of a running game, relying on the passing game a lot. Take big leads and let them get away. Crumble in the 4th against the Bears at home.

I thought Okudah looked legit yesterday covering Hopkins all game. No monster plays for D-Hop and that pick was incredible.
Much as I love seeing AP in the Honolulu blue and silver, it stings knowing we used 2 second rounders on RBs who are barely playing behind a 35 year old.
Eagerly anticipating the debut of Logan Stenberg. Our Oline looks like a work in progress with Hawavitsuuiyaiuyraaffzzhyr playing RG for some reason and Crosby at RT. You would think Hawavitsuuiyaiuyraaffzzhyr would be our RT after that contract w gave him this off season.

I know they are worried about KJ getting injured again but I say is now the time to feed him. His average yesterday was good in small sample. He should get 15-20 touches a game. If he gets hurt you have two solid RBs to fill in plus they can move on from him. If he doesn't get hurt I really feel he will be a top 10 RB week in week out. Either way it's time to find out.

Well I found one thing to be happy about with our Lions. When we did not resign Sam Martin I was a bit bummed. Now I am glad they did not. Our new punter is leading the league in punt average as 1 of 4 averaging over 50 yards a punt. Even better he is leading the league in net yardage and the only one averaging over 50 yards. Meanwhile Sam is near the bottom of the league. In fact his punt average is about 5 yards less than Jack Fox's NET average. He is young so the Lions could have him for a long time.

I wonder who fans will be bitching about next year. I still would like to see them give Byron Leftwich a look. I know there are better options but I do not see them coming to Detroit. I think he might be able to be talked into it. He would have our O humming in no time. Then we can score a lot as we work on building our D.

I like how Shelia showed some guts by giving these clowns the heave-ho in the middle of the season. Good move.
My vote for new HC would be Kellen Moore (AKA "Mr. August"). Former backup QB for us that I enjoyed watching every preseason. He's now the OC for Dallas. He would at least be somewhat familiar with the team (particularly Stafford, if he stays). I know he's young and hasn't been a coordinator for too long but since no other approach seems to work for us, I say why the heck not? Let's shake things up!

Time will tell but I think Shelia, like her mom, wants to win. Mr. Ford was happy making money and owning a team.
