One thing I dislike more than the Packers is the medias lust for the Packers. ESPN's site says Packers dominate the Lions. The Lions had more yards passing, more yards rushing and more points in the first half. The Lions lost due to their own mistakes. The one time they didn't score in the first half they made too many penalties. In the second half it was two blunder turnovers and a bad play call on 4th and short that hurt them. The Packers won and were better but did not dominate.
With this young core on offense all the Lions need in the off season is one stud WR, one top player at all three levels of the D and they are a playoff team. I am happy with Goff as our QB but understand if they draft one to get that rookie contract and save money. Either way if they keep thus trajectory they will be good in a year or two.

Quick recap of last nights game: Like some movies the key is to just watch the first half and then turn it off.

2 games this weekend. 11 on 11 flag on Saturday for the school (Swarm Jr. is the starting TE/WR) and 5 on 5 flag on Sunday (where Iโm HC). Plus college ball, NFL etc love the weekends!
When we win the Lions losses are a lot easier to tolerate. ๐

I mean we are down a starting CB, WR and PK this week. <hands up, shrug>

Today's lose was SUCH a Detroit Lions loss. Hollywood could not script this stuff.
Oh and I forgot to mention about the MNF loss. Just like Millie Vanilli I blame it on the rain.

To my fellow Lion fans here is a bit of advice on how to handle the tough times. When ever I feel down about the Lions I remember how the Bears could have had Patrick Mahomes AND Alvin Kamara but traded up ONE spot to pick Mitch Trubisky.......mwahahahahaha!!!!!!

I wish I could say I was surprised by the 4th and 18, the refs missing the expired play clock and the history making 66 yarder that bounced off the upright - but I wasnโt. Iโm a Lions fan.
Good news is Swarm Jr. aka Jake the ๐ had a very un-Lion like weekend going 2-0 in our games. 27-8 school victory on Saturday and 12-0 yesterday for the NFFL.
GO ROCKETS!
GO BROWNS!
GO LIONS! (But I wonโt be surprised if the Bears whoop us)
Seeing Stafford become the best QB in football (something we here always knew he could be) is obviously heart breaking.
