I have to ask why did you make this totally official Filsinger Games board? I thought you did it to have one official spot for everything game related and a whole big deal was made about not having anything else here except game related material. Just saying if you now add a forum for anything else, the other stuff from the previous board will eventually take place here too, the good and the bad.

I say no. It will only cause problems. Probably not at first, but eventually someone will screw it up. Keep things the way they are. We have other boards for this sort of thing. Just my 2 cents.

My moderator hat off, I am not too keen on the idea.
While the increase in traffic would be great, I think that an open forum would quickly give rise problems on the message board that came before this one (Ingerboard). Especially with the design of the company being "family friendly", a forum with no moderation will cause this board to fall to the childish activity, name calling and bullying that has gone before.
Plus it is nice to see some names of people who have come back to this board because it is free of any potential flaming.
My Moderator hat back on, I'd say sure, why not? It is not like I'd have to do anything there.

I say no because like mr. Darth said all the problems from the old board would return. and then people would be either leaving or pissing and moaning about the "bad element" that was here. I think that the problems of the past( The trolling and the bad feelings) have pretty much been solved. So please dont turn this board into a clone of one of the others. Thats all i have to say about this.  |

an area of the Filsinger Games boards where you could have a completely unrestricted discussions on any topic whatsoever? I'd advise against this. This official board for Filsinger Games serves it's purpose perfectly 'as is'. The products are the focus and the posting parameters support the binding mutual interests of the community. It would be a mistake to break the strong niche focus that has been established here. I'd also note that should a decision be made to provide board space for off topic posts, Filsinger Games 'would not' be able to absolve itself from the potential perception of being responsible by association for whatever comes from it. A 'no Mod' section disclaimer would be irrelevant as those running the board would be directly accountable for having willfully provided an area for content that at worst could come off to readers/consumers as racist, low brow, offensive, etc. Then by association FG 'would be' tainted in line with any negative perceptions of what is read on it's board. Why risk doing something that can be so harmful and detrimental to Filsinger Games and the purpose the board is designed to serve? This board, while topic controlled...has developed very nicely in it's own way. Disturbing that is likely to have harmful unintended consequences. |

No. I think this board is great as is. It's nice to have a board for strictly COTG related items.
I, for one, would like to see it remain this way.

It looks like the "NO" crowd is adamant with some great points while the "YES" crowd isn't even too sure themselves.
The Board will stay as is...thank you guys for sharing your thoughts and opinions.
