I can hear Havoc jumping for joy right now! I'l reserve judgement but if Swarm, Kill Prey, and Shann-Ra are gone for a whole year (or more) and they're replaced by Nitro G and Patch, that blows. I'm not too broken up by the loss of Reckless and I'm guessing that Patch could be Daimyo/Gatekeepeer/Dead Ringer. Most people know my thoughts on Nitro G. The art work looks great if it wasn't based on a dorky 20 year old on a reality show. OK. I'm going to be the first to make this prediction. If Swarm is gone I can think of only one conclusion. Swarm is Nitro G!!!!! :PThat would save the set for me. ;D LOL... I'm just glad I saw your original post!

The card is amazing and I'm sure the game mechanic will be interesting. If I really don't like the reality show storyline, I'll ignore it.
Also.... IMO Swarm's absence is temporary. In storyline, he' ll probably have been gone for a few months and then be returning with an upgrade.
With the handbook available in PDF, Tom has more room to explore storylines so I have a feeling upgrades and debuts are going to be a littl more in depth from now on. This does however make me think that Swarm is going to start feeling like he might be "too big" for the AniMen team and a feud with Strutter. Look for him to move on in the next set.
And I said it in the other thread...I could see KP and Shann-Ra being absent short term. Or not. Unless they create their own independent team, they don't fit in the GWF's team feud dynamic.

Patch is black...Gatekeeper and Daimyo were white. Anyways...the Nitro G thing is a good way to bring in a couple new fans to the game and can be treated like a new character Tom came up with...you don't need to associate it with the real person.

I hope to be surprised by Nitro G. It's hard to separate the real person from the card when there's an obvious tie-in between the two, complete with a G-Con visit.
If the character turns out to be nothing like some dorky guy from a dorky reality show, then awesome.

I'm very surprised by Kill Prey....he seemed to be hitting his prime, though he was somewhat directionless of late.
Maybe he's headed for POW or aCe....?

Lucky for me I never saw any of the "Who wants to be a Superhero" shows. So Nitro is new to me. As I am about to start a new fed, I guess I can wait a bit for this new edition to see who to use.
