WOO HOO! Go Punk!
Love the ending of RAW! OUTSTANDING. I literally laughed out loud, and my wife probably was wondering "wtf is he watching?"
Punk just losing it when his mic is cut off is priceless. Then clocking HHH with it was even better! Loved every second of it!
Punk is god.

I don't know. I don't want to be too critical...I'm trying to just enjoy the show but I thought RAW was pretty bad last night.
Is CM Punk supposed to represent the never-satisfied no matter what, always complaining IWC dorks now? What exactly was he upset about last night? I don't get it. I just read an interview with Punk this weekend where Punk was asked what goals he has left in this business and his answer was "I'm running out of goals to meet. Main Eventing Wrestlemania and winning a Royal Rumble is all I have left to accomplish..." but then last night he's going on and on an on and on about being "held back" or whatever. Dude has done it all in the WWE. Before, he was like the voice for other wrestlers who guys like HHH held down, and for the fans who were/are tired of Cena. But now he's out there defending himself like HHH has been keeping him from success in the WWE or something? And HHH was simply terrible on the mic. He got lost so bad it wasn't even funny. He was going in circles, telling Punk "All you have to do is to win them over" 3 times while the fans cheered for Punk. Then he tried to use John Cena as some great example while everyone booed him. I thought the whole thing was a mess honestly. It came off more like a spoiled kid arguing with his dad than anything else.
Rest of the show sucked. Bret Hart - Jesus dude, used to love the guy now he's coming dangerously close to Roddy Piper holy crap get the hell off my TV forever territory. Hart can't even complete basic sentences out there anymore. Stop using him. It's not special anymore.
And Cena - man I hate to say this but he's becoming channel changing material now that football is back. He's been messing his lines up too a lot lately. Last night he says "...ADR thinks it's his destiny to be WWE Champion, but he's wrong!" Um....he's already the champion, idiot. And I swear to God, Cena is the most unfunny dude ever on the mic. The shit he says sometimes is straight up dumb.
Lastly, it appears as if RAW "Supershow" really means RAW+Randy Orton match. To make things worse Orton is now also booked like total idiot face #54390134905613406 getting distracted from using his finisher like a complete retard for no reason, and losing the match because of it. Hey shitty WWE writers, you just did this three weeks ago with CM Punk, remember? Horrible.
Will NOT be paying money to watch NOC. I'll watch for free on my computer. I used to never be that guy. But I am now.

The WWE is corporate and they have fallen into the trap of most other publicly held companies in that they are afraid to take a chance on something different. They get stagnant and would rather "stay the course" and garner predictable results than take a chance on something new and reap potential huge reward. It's the same in Hollyweird and the lamestream music industry as well, which is why there are so many remakes and "safe" choices being made and so much of the music sounds like the same thing with a different "singer" (vocal artist? Pre-fab concoction with a mic?).
WWE kind of dipped their toe in the waters of letting Punk try something new. Apparently the water was cold, because that seems to be what they have now: cold feet. It appears they're going to revert back to the "safe stuff". That seemed like another "paint by numbers show" and the stuff that happened a few months back that had everyone talking now seems like a distant memory.
Hey, all this does is help business for companies like CHIKARA and Dragon Gate USA because if I want current wrestling entertainment their DVDs are where I'm getting it now.

The WWE has dabbled into fresh entertaining concepts for it's product, but then they return to the safe and time tested methods that to some of us drags down the product. I think a quote from my point of view that fits the WWE perfectly is "Nothing new under the Sun" or in this case "Nothing new under the WWE Sun". I honestly think Mainstream Wrestling is not "Must Watch TV" these days atleast in my book and it's cool there are indy feds that can offer a different product...

I didn't think it was that great. And here's the thing, yeah MNF is back, but also American Chopper and Pawn Stars. I mean i see that Kelly is going to wrestle Vicki. Bam! flipping that channel. Cena and Hart tag team? Bam! King squashing Otunga and Hennig? Bam! (by the way another smart move WWE. you had a new legitimate tag team three weeks ago and you destroyed them) And the end....it just seems they ran out of steam. What HHH said to Punk, it seemed to deflate the situation. The end with the mikes was cool, although i thought the third one should shut off and punk should just walk out. But on the whole....WWE is really losing my interest the last few weeks. Forget building new storylines, just throw everyone out there and that will get ratings.

@phoenix I'm with you in watching American Chopper over Raw with the WWE lacking in the entertaining department of late. But at this moment I dvr that and watch Hell's Kitchen and next week HK's 2 hour season finale is on, so I'll be watching that...

I thought Punk sounded really dumb... to say he's been held back when he's main evented PPVs and been champ what, 3 times? 4? Doesn't make any sense.
If he was Evan Bourne, or even Danielson, maybe. Bring in Claudio? Sure? Hero? definitely. but Punk? Nope. Totally illogical. HHH sounded like an old grandpa that keeps forgetting things. 'win the fans' he says' Punk gets a huge pop. 'Win the fans' he says again. Is he deaf? Perhaps WWE script writers thought the crowd would turn on Punk? If so, then HHH needed to realize it and ad lib something.
The ADR stuff is terrible... I'm really sick of him. He's really just a generic chicken heel, and nothing more.
Totally agree with Rob about Bret Hart... save him just for Calgary once a year.. there are plenty of other guys that could probably use a paycheck that would be fun to see.. I'd rather they have a different guy every time they do that sorta thing... it's not like you can't plug in and have any retired WWE star cut the exact same promo.
I think the only thing I was happy I didn't flip back to New England dismantling Miami for was the Miz/Truth promo... They are pretty entertaining, but the rest was Meh at best.

It's like both Punk and HHH are out there but giving different types of promos and never really coming together. I agree with Rob and Wildfire, the HHH stuff was dumb with telling Punk to get over when the fans are popping for him. Then he tries to revert to 'I'm not just talking about tonight', but Punk's been getting these pops everywhere they go. Lame. Did like how Punk mentioned back at SS when fans were popping louder for Punk than DX though.
Punk talking about opportunity was hit and miss for me. Some good points but some not so much. Waiting for Punk to say something about the rumor of how Taker was disrespected when Punk was champ because he didn't wear a suit and tie on a trip, or something like that. Definitely, think he should go away from the opportunity stuff and keep his agenda about wanting change in WWE.
Overall, I thought the segment started out with some really lame points but at the end it got much more enjoyable. After HHH really got into Punk's face and went to the personal side of the angle, the mics being turned off, Punk laying out HHH, I think they got back on track and I thought the ending of the segment was really good.
Really awesome to see Cody Rhodes beat Orton. I love this guy and he just keeps getting better. The rest of Raw was just kind of meh though.
And, Wildfire, finally someone else that agrees on me about the overrated ADR. I don't see what people see in this guy. Total channel changer.

The timing last night was excellent because Raw came on just as I was ready to throw my controller at the TV during the Republican debate. All I have to say is, after that display of nearly complete sutpidity, Raw was almost golden last night! Okay, I will agree with that. When Cena called ADR a coward for hiding the past few weeks, I was like, "He couldn't get his Visa, dumb ***!" Jeez, was Cena watching the debates as well and just got sucked in to the complete lack of intellect?

Okay, bracing myself for the hate mail here but...
Did you really expect any different? Channel changing moments? Honestly, RAW has been a 2 hour channel changing moment ever since the F became an E. Scripted promos. Regurgitated screw jobs. Corporate cowardice.
Not at all surprised they have already crapped the bed with the CM Punk angle.
