CM Punk vs. Ziggler was a real good match. I don't even remember the rest of the show. You guys realize the brand extension is now over, right? These RAW "Super Shows" have featured both the WWE and World Title programs and plenty of SD names for weeks now. I don't know, I just feel like nothing cool is going on right now. It's great to see Punk win the belt again but it was 100X cooler when he won it last time at MITB. Doesn't feel as special at all.

So whatever happen with R-Truth & Miz lastnight is a result of R-Truth being suspended for violating the Wellness Policy...

So, Punk vs Ziggler showcases 2 of the best the WWE has to offer,at at 10pm, and yet the last 15 minutes of the show is Cena talking about the the Rock and eventually convincing Truth and Miz to break-up(albeit due to Truth's suspension). This is why the ratings don't improve. P.S. constantly having Michael Cole reference twitter only makes the show more unwatchable. IMO. Swarm, the fact that you couldn't remember the rest of the show is ok, other than the beggining of the Rhodes/Booker feud, you didn't miss a thing.

This is why the ratings don't improve. Could not agree more. The WWE Champion is supposed to represent CHANGE. It's supposed to change the pecking order from the top down. The last time they gave a new guy the belt and actually built the company around him (and his name wasn't John Cena) was Bret Hart. Everyone other champion has played second fiddle to HHH, DX, Vince McMahon or Cena (and now Rock) over the past ten years or so it seems. Putting the title on a guy and not changing his position on the card means nothing. Which is, like you said the ratings don't improve, and why people say guys like Cena don't "need" the belt. Cena is the same exact guy, in the same exact position with or without the belt. Same thing with HHH. CM Punk was 3rd on the face totem pole going into SS and he's still there coming out of it, even with the belt. Means very, very little when you think about how poorly the WWE uses their champions sometimes. Hell, ADR was coming out in the FIRST match as champion on RAW and SD a few times. Horrible.

Yeah i agree with that. Why was Punk's match in the middle of the card? It's not like the end was something special. Part of the problem though is a lot of the times they put a belt on a guy just for storyline purposes...not why they did it in the old days. Because that guy WAS THE BEST. Punk started the show great, and had a great match. Loved the bit about being a wrestler, not a sports entertainer. wonder if he got chewed out for that. the rest... You notice Nash got no reaction from the crowd.. Seems like they have no idea what to do with Cena until WrestleMania. Or Miz. And what about R-Truth now? heel? Face? Hopefully now that Cody has ditched the mask he'll start talking in a normal voice. um...i can't remember much else of the show either. Except the diva's playing a video game...

I fast forward through more and more of the show every week. I enjoyed the Punk-Ziggler match, and some of the CM Punk promo to open the show...but the rest was just filler. Hopefully they turn the corner at the Rumble.

This show was really good. I can usually see everyone's points, but I just don't get what you guys want out of a wrestling show right now. Punk is champion, has a great match with another internet darling. You guys complain it wasn't the main event. The 10:00 PM ratings quarter hour is actually just as important as the over run at the end of the show. John Cena shows fire, isn't goofy, and has interactions with the Miz and Truth that make them look serious, and make his character different and interesting after the Rock match. We complain.....actually I don't know why we are complaining, but it's happening. The twitter stuff actually led to something tonight, they are embracing viral marketing, and yet we comment how they are stuck in a different time. The Cody/Booker stuff was awesome.
This was the best paced Raw in a long time. Stop nit picking and enjoy.

I haven't watched anything on tv for probably 4 years now. I turned Raw on because a friend was there and he's coming here today to visit for the holiday, so figured I'd know what he was talking about. I was really bored with that episode of Raw.

John Cena shows fire, isn't goofy, and has interactions with the Miz and Truth that make them look serious, and make his character different and interesting after the Rock match. The 10pm spot is not the same as the Main Event. That's why it's called the Main Event. I thought Cena was goofy. He gets turned on (again) by the Rock and he comes out smiling, calm, no big deal. I didn't think his interactions with Miz and Truth made them serious. I thought it made them look stupid. It's not bad enough that Cena has been destroying them both for weeks, last night he mind tricks them (easily) into turning on each other. I loved the ending when Cole screamed "That Skull Shattering Finale PROVES Miz is a threat!" haha now dumb. How about he beats up Cena just once? Or wins a match? That would make him seem like more of a threat than doing anything to jobber R-Truth. Instructing Cole to tell us what makes a guy a threat just proves they have no idea how to build a viable heel threat since Randy Orton was punting people right and left. What did Cena do to make his character appear different or interesting vs. how he always is? How stupid. Cena has become nothing but a mascot for the WWE. Rock clowns him at SSeries and this dummy comes out pimping Zack Ryder's twitter account, and licks Rock's butt. Has anyone ever sucker punched you? Did you help put him over after he did? This crap is beyond ridiculous. probably the farthest from reality the WWE has ever been. If Cena smiling, joking and gabbing about breakfast cereal and twitter is what wrestling fans tune into these days then I guess it was the best show in awhile.

Man, I need to start watching this stuff again! I mean, nothing is more must-see tv than an entire audience breaking out in a "Fruity Pebbles" chant. I think I'll schedule lawn mowing duty for Monday nights now if that's the best Raw can do.
