MONTH 5: TV TAPINGS (week 2) Hosted by Bill Apter and Billy Red Lyons
NON-TITLE MATCH Bobo Brazil (United States Champion) def. Nikita Breznikov (5:26) Bobo with the COCO BUTT for the win. After the match Bobo is attacked by The Sheik who tries to burn him with the FIREBALL but misses. Bobo is interviewed and vows to run the Sheik out of wrestling for good!
John & Chris Tolos def. S.D. Jones & Soul Train Jones (0:32) Before the match, Bobby Heenan joins the announce team saying he’s bringing the World Tag Team Champions here next week and wants to scout the talent in the IWLF. The Tolos Brothers attack the Jones Boys before the bell! Chris Tolos throws Soul Train from the ring to the floor! John Tolos with a thumb to the throat and a backbreaker on S.D. Jones for the quick pin! After the match, John holds down S.D. while Chris delivers multiple FLYING KNEE DROPS until Soul Train returns with a chair! The Tolos Brothers tell Bobby Heenen they are looking forward to meeting his champions.

LADIES MATCH Trinity Denucci def. Tina Moretti - DQ (8:20) Tina whips Trinity into the turnbuckle and charges in. Trinity pulls the referee in front of her and Tina clobbers the official, knocking him unconscious! The women continue to battle until the referee regains consciousness at which point he disqualifies Tina for knocking him down! She argues to no avail.
SPECIAL ATTRACTION Andre The Giant def. Wild Red Berry (5:20) Andre crushes Berry with the BIG SPLASH in a one sided match. After the match, Andre is attacked by Giant Baba who delivers the NECKBREAKER DROP on the Giant and leaves with Berry as the show goes off the air.

Week 3: George “The Animal” Steele (w/ Lou Albano) def. Savage-T (4:44) Steele hits T with a foreign object to get the pin. After the match Albano and Steele are interviewed with the Captain saying he’s helping George focus and will turn him into a champion
NON-TITLE MATCH IWLF Tag Team Champions Harley Race & Larry Henning (w/ Bobby Heenan) def. The Belgian Brawler & George South (8:16) Harley Race with the PILEDRIVER on The Belgian Brawler after a hard fought battle
Giant Baba (w/ Wild Red Berry) def. Soul Train Jones (8:44) Jones reverses a turnbuckle whip and charges in but the referee gets in the way and goes down. While Soul Train is trying to revive the official, Baba delivers a knee to his back, sending Jones to the floor. He follows Soul Train outside, smashes him into a table and tosses him back into the ring to deliver the NECKBREAKER DROP. The referee comes to and makes the count.
After the match, Baba and Berry are interviewed with Red saying he’s invested a lot of money in Giant Baba and after they dispose of Andre The Giant, they plan on taking the US title from Bobo Brazil and bringing it back to Japan.
The Las Vegas Playboys (Buddy Rose & Larry Sharpe) w/ The Queen Of Hearts, April Hunter vs. Dewey Robertson & Hillbilly Luke – DRAW (10:00) Neither team can score a pinfall within the TV time limit and the match is declared a draw.

Month 5, Week 4: Baltimore Civic Center, Baltimore, MD
Mr. X def. Hillbilly Luke - COR (12:40) This version of Mr. X is again not the same one fans are used to seeing lose weekly on TV. The masked man is whipped into the turnbuckle but moves out of way of the charging hillbilly, causing Luke to sail through the ropes and onto the floor, where he is counted out. Mr. X gives Luke a PILEDRIVER on the floor after the match, resulting in the hillbilly having to be taken out on a stretcher.
LADIES TAG TEAM MATCH Daizee Haze & Nora Greenwald vs. Joyce Grable & Sara Del Ray – DOUBLE DQ (15:48) Sara throws Nora into the turnbuckle and charges in but Nora lifts her knees into the oncoming opponent’s face! Nora then hits the FLIPPING SEATED SENTON and goes for the cover but Joyce Grable comes in to make the save. All four girls end up in the ring and a brawl erupts! The referee tries to restore order but repeatedly gets shoved aside by both teams. Unable to regain control, the referee disqualifies BOTH teams.
George “The Animal” Steele (w/ Captain Lou Albano) def. Dewey Robertson (14:48) Lou Albano makes his presence felt, trying to enter the ring as Robertson has Steele caught in an abdominal stretch. This distraction is enough to allow the Animal to recover and attack his opponent from behind. Steele works on Dewey’s arm, finally hoisting him up in the deadly FLYING HAMMERLOCK and it’s all over.
Red Bastien & Brad Armstrong def. John Tolos & Chris Tolos (16:39) Bastien pins John Tolos after a series of flying dropkicks even though it appears that Tolos had his foot over the bottom rope. John Tolos punches the referee after the match and throws him over the top rope!
UNITED STATES CHAMPIONSHIP Bobo Brazil (ch) def. The Sheik (w/ The Grand Wizard) – DQ (16:03) Sheik is disqualified after throwing Bobo from the ring, following him out and using some electrical cables to choke the champion, shoving the referee away when he tries to stop the mayhem. Wrestlers from the back are finally able to pull the crazed Syrian off of his opponent.
Giant Baba (w/ Wild Red Berry) def. Koko B. Ware (5:07) Koko gets in a flurry off offense when Baba misses a turnbuckle charge but for the most part is dominated by the Japanese Giant. Koko runs into a boot to the face and is pinned. Antonino Rocca def. Playboy Buddy Rose (w/ April Hunter) (13:00) This one’s wild as April Hunter, Larry Sharpe and Ilio Dipaolo all get involved at one time or another. Eventually in all the mayhem Rocca is able to trap Rose in a crushing body scissors and get the submission. All four wrestlers brawl in the ring and when order is finally restored, the other half of each team has their match.
Ilio Dipaolo (w/ Antonino Rocca) def. Larry Sharpe (w/ Buddy Rose & April Hunter) (13:50) The mayhem continues with everyone getting involved in the action but a series of big right hands eventually puts Sharpe down long enough for Dipaolo to score the pin while Rocca keeps Rose and Hunter at bay.

Month 5, Week 4: Maple Leaf Gardens, Toronto, ON
IWLF Champion Buddy Rogers def. NWLF Champion Lou Thesz (Referee's Decision)
Fall #1 (16:20): Rogers with the FIGURE FOUR GRAPEVINE after cheap shotting Thesz with a dropkick to the knee as Thesz was climbing back into the ring from the floor Fall #2 (20:48): Rogers with the jumping knee smash on Thesz’s already injured knee. Thesz is deemed unable to continue.
Rogers leaves with both title belts but it is later ruled that because of the injury and the referee stopping the match, the title cannot change hands. The NWLF belt is returned to the champion.

MONTH 6: TV TAPINGS Hosted by Bill Apter and Billy Red Lyons
Week 1: Antonino Rocca & Ilio Dipaolo def. Johnny Rodz & Nikita Breznikov (6:50) Rocca with the ARGENTINIAN BACKBREAKER on Breznikov for the submission
The Sheik (w/ The Grand Wizard) def. Marcus Alexander Bagwell (8:50) Bagwell has the Sheik in trouble until the Wizard jumps up on the apron, distracting the youngster. This allows Sheik to get the upper hand and eventually apply the CAMEL CLUTCH for the win. The Sheik refuses to release the hold until Bobo Brazil runs down to make the save, chasing Sheik out of the ring.
George “The Animal” Steele (w/ Captain Lou Albano) def. George South (6:24) Steele with the FLYING HAMMERLOCK after punishing South’s arm.
NON-TITLE MATCH Bobo Brazil (United States Champion) def. Larry Sharpe (w/ Buddy Rose and April Hunter) – DQ (8:28) Sharpe gets disqualified when April Hunter jumps up on the ring apron and smashes Bobo with her purse full of silver dollars
Bobo is still dazed when suddenly The Sheik runs in and tries to burn Bobo with a FIREBALL but the US Champ kicks him in the stomach causing the flame to shoot up in the air. Bobo then delivers a COCO BUTT causing Sheik to flee the ring.
After the match, Bobo is interviewed and says he wants a cage match or a Texas Death match with the Sheik to settle things once and for all!
Mr. X def. Savage-T (6:16) Mr. X with the PILEDRIVER to put away Savage-T After the match, BIlly Red Lyons tries to interview the masked man but gets brushed off.
Week 2: NON-TITLE MATCH Harley Race & Larry Hennig (Tag Team Champions w/ Bobby Heenan) def. Nick & Matt Jackson (8:32) The youngsters are taking it to the champions until Nick misses a bodypress off the top rope on Henning who tags to Race who comes in and delivers the PILEDRIVER for the win.
During the match, Billy Red Lyons and Bill Apter talk of the IWLF Futures eXtreme division which will be showcasing some of the rising stars of the wrestling world in the coming weeks, including a tournament to crown a new champion.
Giant Baba (w/ Red Berry) def. Alofa Anoa’i (6:54) The Japanese Giant takes the victory after a Russian leg sweep.
George South def. Koko B. Ware (5:21) South gets the pin with an elbow drop after Koko misses a cross bodyblock. After the match, South continues to attack Koko but gets dropkicked out of the ring!
The Las Vegas Playboys (Buddy Rose & Larry Sharpe w/ April Hunter) def. Hillbilly Jim & Hillbilly Luke (7:32) Luke whips Sharpe into the turnbuckle and charges in, Sharpe raises his knees and Luke goes down in a heap. A quick tag to Buddy Rose who climbs to the top rope to deliver the BOMBS AWAY kneedrop and it’s all over for the hillbillies.
Andre The Giant def. The Belgian Brawler (2:46) Andre toys with the Brawler before putting him away with two bone shattering body slams and the BIG SPLASH!
In a post-match interview Andre says he is looking forward to meeting Baba and finding out who the true giant of wrestling is.
Week 3: Mil Mascaras def. Jonny Rodz (6:50) Mascaras picks up the win with the FLYING BODYPRESS
Nikita Breznikov def. S.D. Jones (7:00) Breznikov pulls off a major upset by beating Jones with the RUSSIAN SLEEPER. When he continues to attack S.D. after the bell, Soul Train Jones runs in to make the save.
Marcus Alexander Bagwell def. Eddie Gilbert (7:36) Gilbert whips Bagwell into the ropes and sets up for a back body-drop but Bagwell surprises him with a small package and gets the pin! Gilbert grudgingly shakes shakes with Bagwell after the match.
Trinity DeNucci def. Joyce Grable (6:24) IWLF Ladies Champion Penny Banner sat in on commentary DeNucci catches the veteran on the top rope and slams her down to the mat. From there she delivers the NEW JERSEY JAM and gets the win! DeNucci continued to attack Grable until Penny Banner left the announce table and made the save.
John Tolos (w/ Chris Tolos) def. Brad Armstrong (8:50) Brad whips Tolos into the turnbuckle and charges in but Tolos lifts his knees, stunning Brad who goes down hard. Tolos delivers a standing knee drop and gets the pin with Chris holding Brad’s legs from outside, unseen by the referee.
DARK MATCH AFTER THE TAPINGS – NON TITLE MATCH IWLF Heavyweight Champion Buddy Rogers def. Dewey Robertson (11:42) Rogers with the FIGURE FOUR GRAPEVINE and the submission win.

I once teamed Race & Hennig in one of my old feds, but currently Harley Race is in singles action & Larry Hennig is not being used in my Wrestling Edge Australia.
