Fighter: Sectarian Style: Wooden Monkey Kung-fu, Neptunian Jujutsu Description: A serious, angry monkey technique that attacks & defends with ferocity. A style whose practitioners like to grapple & bring their opponents to the ground. It really depends on Sectarian's mood how he performs. He will either destroy you completely, or he will be beaten unconscious. We shall see.  Sectarian (bows slightly): "I wish you good fortune Jazaki."

So the first match is set and ready to go. Lets meet our first two combatants and see what they have to say.
Shawn Atlas
Atlas is a fomer Pit fighter who rounded out his MMA skills to fit in with the NSCA. Technically, he is an all rounder.
Atlas: People want my opinion on my opponent. My opinion is I don't CARE who my opponent is or what he does. I'm here to win it-That's all!
Ray D
Rayd has an amateur wrestling background and will use a shoot style/ground and pound method once his opponent is on the mat! Rayd likes to inflict pain and will use some potent submissions to make his opponent tap out quick. Rayd's personality is very irritating (similar to Tito Ortiz) as he will use his mouth to try and get inside his opponent's head.
Rayd: Atlas huh?! So you think you have the world on your shoulders? After our match, your world will come tumblin' down and I will advance on! You're gonna get punked out!

 Archivald Draegan is a newer addition to Burning Fist Combat. Trained in the arts of Muay Tai, Kenpo, and Tae Kwon Do, he plied his trade for several years on the Universal Kickboxing Circuit, accruing a record of 48 -8- 2. He fought for the UKC Heavyweight Championship several times, but was unable to ever capture it. Still he was known as a tough competitor that was hard to KO. In fact all of his losses come from decision losses. Draegan was approached by Master Eturuoc to join his team in the IWL- Draegan agreed, and has had to add to his skill set in order to be more competitive. Vos has worked with Draegon on takedowns and throws from a clinch, while Aethan works with him on submission skills. Draegan works hard to improve and expand upon his skills. Still, Draegan’s offense consists mostly of strikes-punches knees and kicks. He has been known to have a particularly stinging kick to the opponent’s outer knee, destroying his balance and weakening his overall ability to fight. There have even been cases where this attack has been so damaging that Draegan’s opponent’s have submitted from the pain. His finishers are brutal and effective combination attacks, either ending with a crushing spinning back fist of a crowd pleasing kick to the head. They are a tribute to his training in Muay Tai and Kenpo and Tae Kwon Do. Archivald gets along well with most of the members of Burning Fist Combat. He trains regularly with Master Eturuoc. and often with Vander and Aethan. Marcus Griffin, however, and Archivald have a mutual dislike for one another. While there is no open hostility, the two fights dislike training with each other. Marcus secretly harbors some jealousy at Archivald having the heavyweight slot, and Archivald feels he is a superior fighter to Marcus. Master Eturuoc, Aethan and Vos make sure there is no trouble, but how long can these two last on the same team? |

Just finished macth 1.....
MATCH 1
RAY D VS SHAWN ATLAS
As the two face off the crowd “oooh’s” as Atlas towers over the smaller Ray D. Ray D smiles and blows a kiss to Atlas. Enraged, Atlas shoves Ray D back as the ref explains the rules. Soon after the ref restores order and begins the fight.
ROUND 1
Ray charges in and slips behind Atlas with a waist lock. Ray goes for a suplex but Atlas doesn’t budge. Ray stays on him and tries again. Atlas stays on his feet and turns to face Ray in the clinch. Ray tries to initiate some dirty boxing but Atlas blasts him to the ground with a huge knee. Atlas pounces and goes for a Kimura. Neily defends well and looks for an escape. Atlas retains control and locks in a cobra clutch. Ray slips out and sweeps in the process. The two battle for control and Ray goes for a rear naked choke. Atlas fights off the hold and gets back in top position. Atlas jumps to side mount and goes for the Kimura again. The lock looks like its in tight. Ray tries to fight free but is being dominated by the bigger man. Finally after a few agonizing seconds, Ray taps out.
WINNER: SHAWN ATLAS/ SUBMISSION (KIMURA)/ ROUND 1/ 2 MIN 35 SECONDS
I had Atlas taking this one but thought Ray might be able to give Atlas a run for his money. He had the initiaive and a nice reversal but couldnt match the big man's raw power. So far Atlas looks pretty solid.

MATCH 2
DARK TYGER VS EL COMCHERO
ROUND 1
Tyger looks to be the aggressor and swarms Comanchero with strikes. Comanchero weathers the storma and goes for the takedown. Tyger sprawls and circles out landing glancing punches. Comanchero charges in and shoots in. Tyger reverses and gets top position as the two hit the ground. Tyger is quick to attack and locks in a tight armbar. Camanchero looks stunned but manages to squirm free. Camanchero locks onto Tyger and forces a stand up. As soon as the two get back to their feet Camanchero lets loose a barrage of kicks and elbows. Tyger defends most of the damage but back pedals as Comanchero presses the attack. Just as Comanchero looks to be in control Tyger cracks him hard with a right hand. Comanchero falls to the ground. Tyger pounces and gets into his guard. As the round ends the two fighters battle for control on the ground.
DARK TYGER 10-9 (0 TOKENS)
EL COMCHERO (2 TOKENS)
ROUND 2
Tyger charges across the ring and locks up in the clinch. Camanchero is tossed hard to mat. Tyger opens up with some elbows but Comanchero defends well. Tyger looks to land more ground and pound but Comanchero breaks free and gets back to his feet. Tyger looks to pursue but gets blasted by a nice spinning back kick to the body. As Tyger back pedals Comanchero lands a huge kick to the side of Tyger’s head. Tyger looks hurt and parks against the cage wall. Comanchero lets his elbows and feet fly as he batters the stunned Tyger against the fence. Tyger grunts in pain as Comanchero lands a crushing knee to his ribs. The crowd roars as Comanchero knocks Tyger to the mat with another brutal head kick. Comanchero leaps down into Tyger’s guard just as the round ends.
EL COMANCHERO 10-9 (2 TOKENS)
DARK TYGER (3 TOKENS)
ROUND 3
*Between rounds the camera closes in as Tyger holds his ribs in pain.
Comanchero looks confident as he heads straight for Tyger. Tyger waves him in and lets his hands go. Comanchero responds in kind and the two go toe-to-toe. The crowd leaps to their feet as the two blast eachother in the center of the cage. Tyger gets the better of the exchange and backs Comanchero up. Tyger looks to capitalize but Comanchero recovers and tackles him to the ground. Comanchero gets Tygers back and goes for a triangle from the back mount. Tyger defends and tosses Comanchero off. Tyger immediately gets control and locks in a tight guillotine from the mount. Comanchero thrashes wildly trying to break free. Tyger has the choke in deep and wrenches hard. Comanchero hangs in tough but has no choice but to tap.
WINNER: DARK TYGER/ SUBMISSION (GUILLOTINE)/ ROUND 1/ 3 MINS 0 SECONDS
WOW. Though Tyger had round 1 he was on the verge of getting KTFO. He had amassed 3 tokens and looked like he had a cracked rib. He hung tough in round 3 and stole the win with his solid ground game and determination. Great fight.

Immediately after the fight, a man with a mic stops Tyger and asks for his comments.
Dark Tyger (Winded and still clutching his ribs): Comanchero...your good...and you kick hard...thanks for the battle...it's what I live for...(He takes a slow deep breath and straightens up. He takes the hand that was holding his ribs and uses it to push the hair out of his face and looks directly into the camera). I welcome the next warrior...to experiance...the animal I have become...(He turns and and walks off........)

ooc: Wow! Atlas made it past the first round! am very happy with that! As Atlas walks to the locker room after his match, a man with a mic gets in his way, asking for his comments. Atlas scowls and looks ready to draw back and deck the inteviwer, but a woman who had walked with him to ringside and sat at the anouncer table while the match was proceeding, places a hand on his arm. Atlas takes a deep breath, looks at her and then nods. He then turns back to the interviewer. Atlas: I told everyone I came here to win. I did that in my first round match, and will do it again in my second round match. MMA is my roots and this...is like coming home! Atlas and the woman the make their way back to the locker room to wait for the next round. (If anyone wants to know who the woman was with Shawn Atlas was, contact me!  |

Wow looks like Atlas is ready to another round..lol. Well on to our next fight.
JAZAKI VS SECTARION
ROUND 1
Secterian plows into Jazaki ready to throw. The crowd roars as Jazaki eats a looping punch from the oversized fist of Sectarian. He stumbles back looking dazed. Sectarain capatilizes and slams him hard to the mat. Secterain gets into Jazaki's gaurd and latches on with a neck crank. Jazaki comes to, escapes the hold and scrambles away. Secterian leaps up to pursue but it met with huge knee that cracks him hard on the chin. Secterian on wobbly knees crumbles to the ground. Jazaki wastes no time and pounces into full mount. The ref slides in as Jazaki lands a series of skull thudding hammerfists. As Secterian's head bounces off the mat the ref warns him he will stop the fight. As if on command Secterain comes to and shoves Jazaki off of him. The two scramble for control and Secterian muscles him way back to top position. Jazaki tries to pull guard but Secterian tosses his legs aside and gets into side mount. Secterian lets loose with hammerfists of his own. Jazaki goes limp after the first and brutalized by two more shots before the ref can call the fight.
WINNER: SECTARIAN/ KO (HAMMERFISTS)/ ROUND 1/ 2 MINUTES 39 SECONDS
Sheesh. What a back and forth battle. Secterian landed a huge shot to start things off but was nearly KO'd moments later. Somehow he pulled through and took Jazaki out with some lethal ground and pound.
Another great fight.

FIGHT #4
ARCHIVALD "FIREPOWER" DREAGAN VS FREEKIE SEEKIE
This one is truly a clash of styles. Firepower is probably one of MMA's most dangerous strikers. He is however very vunerable on the ground. If anyone was made to beat him it would have to be Freekie Seekie. He has a tough chin and some of the ugliest and most brutal ground and pound.
ROUND 1
As the round starts Firepower extends his fist out to Freekie to touch gloves. Freekie slaps it aside and takes a wild swing. Firepower feints out of the way and shakes his head. Crack, Crack!! Firepower lands a series of punches accented by a head kick. Seekie shakes off the blow and comes forward. Firepower circles out and nails him with some beautiful knees and elbows. Freekie undettered keeps coming forward. For 2 minutes straight Firepower impsoses his will landing crisp punches and brutal kicks. Frustrated Freekie throws his hads up and motions for Firepower in. Firepower smiles and charges in. The crowd goes crazy as the two huge men swing for the fences. Though Seekie lands some grazing shots Firepower's hand speed and accuracy dominates the exhange. Freekie backs up and shakes his head wildy and yells out in anger. Firepower is caught off gaurd as Freekie comes charging in swinging wild. Firepower easily defends the barrage and sends Freekie to mat with a counter right hand. Freekie rolls to his back but Firepower backs away and motions for him to get back to his feet. Freekie obilges and swarms him again with some wild shots. Firepower tries to circle out but gets backed into the fence. Freekie stays on him and shoves him violently to the ground. Freekie leaps into mount and fires away. Firepower thrashes about as Freekie lands elbows over and over from the guard. Finally after eating elbow after elbow Firepower goes limp and out for the count.
WINNER: FREEKIE SEEKIE/ KO (ELBOWS)/ ROUND 1/ 3 MINS 8 SECONDS
I knew Freekie could take possibly take this one but not this quick. Firepower dominated on the feet but crumbles when he was sent on his back. Freekie looks like he is one serious contender.
