We just wanted to take a moment to thank everyone who contributed to this forum over the past year. Today, more online wrestling fans are exposed to Filsinger Games than at anytime in its history. This wouldn't have been possible, without the underlying talent and generous support of this great community. Some notable highlights:
The Affiliate Network
In 2010, we established working relationships with over fifty partner sites across cyberspace. Our affiliate partners include wrestling discussion boards, E-Feds, Podcasts, Video Game/Social/RPG forums and creativity portals. Through cross promotion, redirect links and at will advertising, we have generated a substantial expansion in FG visibility beyond traditional borders. Much wider doors have been opened for product announcements, the promotional distribution of open source game content, and immersion through sponsorship of satellite site activities. A special thanks to those who participated in our talent exchange programs and served as good will ambassadors. Going forward, a primary goal will be further expansion of our partnerships abroad, with outside activities that heighten general awareness about Filsinger Games.
CotG Bootleg Wrestler Super Archive
In an effort to help preserve and protect the history of this game, 2010 saw the open source archiving of a wealth of fan made CotG theme content. In addition to providing a platform for new material, recovery was made of a great deal of work that for many had been lost to time. A special thanks to the following contributors for helping to make this resource possible:
Aaron 'Chewey' Chiu, Andy Good, Atlas, Brian Poynter, Brocster Comics, Carrie Vander Zanden, Cernunnos, Chad Olson, Clint Davis, Cory Olson, Count Necros, Crimson Cross, Curt Ligot, Dark Fear Production, David Barnes, David Fisher, David Morse, Derrick Fish, Dharneth, Dustin Neal, Ed Davis III, Eric Konecne, Franco, Glenn Lumsden, Graymar, hotfuzz1980, JMello, JProductions, Jaime B Wilson, Jamie O.D., Jason Jaconetti, Jim Steel, Justin Case, ~KB~, Kaz, Keith Vella, Ken 'Ace' West, Kevin Melesky, Kyle Dusenbury, Mark Taggart, Mark Vander Zanden, Matt Jergensen, Mike Delve, Neil Laue, Old Skewl, Paul Barnes, Permanently Happy, Pete Beck, pigwrestling, Randy Bugdale, Ron Lim, Ryan Solberg, Scott Pokett, Shane Styles, Shane Sullivan, Sonny Trinidad, Squire, Steve Minskoff, Swarm, Switchfoot, Tim Dalton, Troy, Vidtek, WTIC, Wayne Crosby, and Werner Mueck
Now One of the Largest CAW Resources on the Internet
In 2010, the PDF Download Library continued to expand ready and equal access to open source content. As of this writing, the resource now hosts close to 500 game charts, over 150 fan made sets, and is closing in on 3,000 CAWs (Create A Wrestler) in print ready and/or COTG/LEGENDSonline format. Not only does this provide a practical value for active players, but it adds a standalone asset that targets the larger demographic with-in our network that has a general interest in pro wrestling, yet may not be immediately familiar with what the FG system has to offer. A special thanks to those who have helped to build this important bridge.
Fed of the Quarter System
2010 saw the implementation of the Fed of the Quarter System. The goal of FOTQ was to provide a practical competitive platform for board members who enjoy the hobby of posting their Feds online. To ensure a base of critical assessment, a group of writers for various FG Brands kindly agreed to act as judges. Easy participation and result privacy was ensured through PM voting. A quarterly Ballot Radar thread provides an early spotlight to qualifying candidates who earn a spot on the slate. Prizes were even instituted that award those who successfully defend their titles consecutively. Congratulations to this year's community champions: jasonjaconetti (2010 FOTQ 1 CotG Division), Avarice (2010 FOTQ 2-3 CotG Division) and Mr. Vegas (2010 FOTQ 1-3 LOW/LOTF Division).
FG Community Citizen Award Winners
Congratulations to 2010 recipients Jim Steel, Werner Mueck, Justin Case & Eric Konecne. Thanks for consistently going above and beyond.
VirtualCon 2010
A thanks to board member Old Skewl for creating the contest known as VirtualCon. In the end, the event champion was Demosthenes, who was shipped a prize designed by Eric Konecne's Asteroid Belts.
OWW Genesis Debate League Rep
A show of gratitude to board member cman for volunteering to represent the FG Brand on our affiliate partner site, OWW Genesis.
Win A Spot In GWFZT Contest Champion
In support of the upcoming GWFZ Territories Set, we held a Create An Animan contest. Among a field of several dozen submissions, board member Troy emerged victorious with his creation, Chilly Fu! An additional thanks to Swarm and Tournament Master for investing their time and talents in making GWFZT possible.
