I don't normally post the event summaries, but for those that don't have time to read the full events, here you go!!
For Over 3 Years...
We are...
GOW: GODS Of Wrestling
Fully Loaded III was not only a success, but it turned out to be one of the best Slamtastic Four PPV's in GOW history, packing over 48, 000 fans into Mount Smart Stadium in Auckland, New Zealand.
The night opened up with with a bang because GOW's CEO Johnny "The Ace" Steamboat came out and putting an early stoppage to any possible antics from the GOW General Manager during the third annual Fully Loaded PPV.
The crowd was electrified all night, right from mister Steamboats putting mister Hitsman on notice and threatening to suspend his hired kronies, right to the phemomenal finish that was the Main Event of the evening.
Opening the night was a table match for the GOW:Genesis Main Event Championship Number One Contendership that saw "The Grinder" in rare form as he put a nasty beating on Matt McMattio before finally putting him through the table and out of his misery.
After Typhus left McMattio battered and bruised, winning his contendership match with authority, Mister Hitsman reminded us all that he unfortunately still had some authority and it was time for the match that he created to try and destroy Dynasty from within but he didn't get what he wanted.
Elijah and Rhino came out and took it right to each other and really put on a show for the fans. They had the crowd on their feet the entire time as the two long time friends went back and forth during what was a fantastic match but then mister Hitsman stopped the match before it finished and declared it a draw, pissing off both Elijah and Rhino, and 48, 000 plus people and at Mount Smart Stadium.
Once mister Hitsman stopped the match he explained to a very hostile crowd and pissed off Elijah and Rhino, that he didn't care for Rhino and Elijah going over his head and involving mister Steamboat in matters.
After making the already hostile crowd even more hostile, he then informed Rhino and Elijah that they would be in a three on two handi capped match at GOW:Genesis XXVIII and not only was he hand picking Rhino and Elijah's opponents, he was going to be the special guest ref for that match too.
Up next it was "Greatness" Rock Roberts defending his GOW:Genesis Rising Star Championship against "The Extreme Superstar" Desy Extreme in a hight octane wrestling match that could have gone either way because both put on the performances of their careers but in the end, the defending Champ picked up the big win.
After Rock Roberts defended his title and remained undefeated at 3-0, it was the rematch between the two men that battled to a double KO after the two men did battle with steel chairs and ended up knocking one another out cold at GOW:Genesis XXVII. At Fully Loaded III, they upped their game and put on a clinic.
The defending GOW:Geneiss Main Event Champion, Lucas Williams would go to battle with "The Boss" in Rage In A Cage, one of the most brutal matches in pro wrestling history and both men would come well prepared for the war that eventually saw veteran Rob "The Boss" Tabor emerge victorious.
Rage In A Cage saw both men take it to one another with tables, ladders, chairs, they used the cage and it was another high octane thriller but in the end, "The Boss" had more left in the tank and capitalized on the first mistake that Lucas made, ending the Championship reign for the great "Mr. UK".
After "The Boss" strapped gold around his waist, it was one of the best triple threat matches in the history of the business that saw the defending GOW World Heavyweight Champion, Judas Dathan defend his coveted title against two of the very best wrestlers in the business in an Elimination style match up!
Judas Dathan fought like a champion and the crowd were on their feet and screaming the entire time as Ricky Pecs, "The Gambler" Jack Daniels and Judas Dathan put on the performances of their careers.
Three men who have all currently held World titles colliding in the ring and showing off their skills, it was great and the fans loved every second of it as the three Champions did battle in an awing performance!
Ricky Pecs was the first to be pinned after doing battle with "The Gambler". Daniels was attempting to eliminate pecs himself but Judas interrupted Daniels and stole the win for himself before going toe to toe with one of the best wrestlers to ever lace them up.
Jack Daneils and Judas had a five star match up and really showed everyone why they have been World Champions but in the end, "The Gambler" showed his experience and showed Dathan that he didn't have the hand to stop "The Gambler" from becoming the World Champion for a record breaking fourth time.
After "The Gambler" crapped out both Pecs and Judas Dathan, a pre recorded interview with newly signed GOW Superstar Dravaka Drimstone aired and finally put a face to the name that was trending world wide for the past couple of weeks. The rumour was true. Former NWW Champion Dravaka Drimstone was here.
Dravaka answered some questions from Dustin Patterson and put every champion on the roster on notice, letting everyone know that he wasn't here to play games, he was here to win championships and become the best wrestler that ever stepped foot in GOW.
After Dravaka put the GOW roster on notice it was time for the Main Event of the evening that saw the two best wrestlers on the planet today going toe to toe in a Submission match for the most coveted prize in professional wrestling, the Legends Championship.
William King was the first ever and is a former three time Legends Champion and he was back in GOW for one reason and one reason only. To reclaim what he still considers his championship, the Legends Championship that was now sitting around the waist of "Mr. Awesome" Evander Cage.
Evander Cage quickly showed the world that he was the real deal and very rapidly walked through superstar after superstar on his quest towards greatness. Evander is as tough as he is is skilled in the ring and that makes him a very dangerous superstar with a repertoire of moves that is scary in itself, he is...Awesome!
William and Evander wrestled for over thirty minutes and just as Rhino and Elijah did, even though they are stable mates, they upped their game, put their friendship aside and reminded everyone why they are so highly revered by their peers in the back.
It was the single best submission match in the history of submission matches and it was one of the best match ups that we've ever seen booked on a card. It was as close as they come but in the end, "Mr. Awesome" showed "The Original Legned", why he's the new sheriff in town and picked up the big W over the man who is still by many, considered the best wrestler alive.
Evander Cage and William King were both brilliant in the ring and it was a match for the ages but the former World Heavyweight Champion and current Legends Champion Evander Cage was able to lock in his patented STS Submission hold and it was just too much for "The Original Legned" and he was forced to tap out and came up just shy of being able to accomplish what he came back to do, in a short amount of time.
If William had of been victorious, he would have joined "The Gambler" as a four time champion, except he would have been a four time Legends Champion which would have solidified him as the best wrestler on the planet.
So it was another sold out and action packed Slamtastic Four PPV that saw five great matches, a Number One contender and two new Champions crowned in what was an electrifying evening at another fantastic GOW event. Will William King get an immediate rematch to try and make history himself as a four time Legends Champion, who knows but up next folks, it's back to GOW Arena in Toronto Ontario, Canada for GOW:Genesis XXVIII, so stay tuned!!!
