Major League Wrestling's (MLW's) annual post-Wrestlemania break ends tonight with this week's presentation of Tuesday Night RAW!
Major League Wrestling (MLW) RAW Tuesday April 14, 2009 The Major League Wrestling Arena Las Vegas, NV (First Third of show)
RAW starts off with the following highlights from the matches involving RAW participants at Wrestlemania 2 (full PPV results listed above on this fed thread):
- In Wrestlemania 2's opening match, former World Champion Harley Race used his PILEDRIVER to pin former Intercontinental Champion Jim Londos and become 2-0 at Wrestlemania.
- In the 3 way tag brand superiority match, RAW's New Age Outlaws started off strong by eliminating Smackdown's Armstrongs when B.G. James pinned Brad Armstrong via the PUMP HANDLE SLAM but then lost the match to EAWA's Heroes of Hardcore when Hardcore Hodge pinned B.G. James via an OKLAHOMA SIDEROLL.
- Nick Bockwinkel defeated MLW Chairman Bruno Sammartino via a Boston Crab after Bockwinkel's fellow Heenan Family member and the Heenan Family's "problem solver" Ox Baker got away with giving Sammartino a devastating HEART PUNCH. Afterward, Sammartino had to be carried away on a stretcher and taken away in an ambulance to a hospital. As a result of his victory, Bockwinkel is now 2-0 at Wrestlemania.
- RAW's Don Muraco is shown climbing the ladder to grab the briefcase to win the 8 man Money in the Bank ladder match to win an automatic title shot at the time of his choosing.
- The Sheik wins the Intercontinental Championship by defeating both Rick Rude and Diamond Dallas Page in a triple threat match when he pinned defending champion Rude via a FIREBALL.
- In the best 2 out of 3 falls match pitting the defending MLW Tag Team Champions the Fabulous Kangaroos vs the Brothers of Other Mothers (Bobo Brazil and Mil Mascaras), the Fabulous Kangaroos are shown winning the first fall when Roy Heffernan pinned Brazil via the BOOMERANG. The Brothers of Other Mothers then tied it up 1-1 in the second fall when Bobo Brazil pinned Roy Heffernan following repeated COCO BUTTS. But the Fabulous Kangaroos successfully defended their title in the third and deciding fall when Heffernan pinned Brazil via the BOOMERANG while grabbing the ropes for extra leverage.
- Bruiser Brody defeated Jimmy Snuka in a steel cage match to win the World Championship by giving his former tag team partner Snuka a running slam into the steel cage followed by his finishing JUMPING KNEE DROP. Afterward, Brody and Snuka shook hands.
Match #1:Intercontinental Champion The Sheik (managed by Abdullah Farouk) defeated S.D. Jones in a non-title match
- In tonight's opening match, the new Intercontinental Champion The Sheik survived some early offense by Jones to take decisive control of the action and win via his CAMEL CLUTCH.
- As Jones taps out, the TV announcers wonder aloud how long will The Sheik's reign as Intercontinental Champion last here on RAW.
In the Ring: The Heenan Family (Bobby Heenan, Nick Bockwinkel, Harley Race, Rick Rude, and Ox Baker).
- Rude, who lost the Intercontinental Championship to The Sheik at Wrestlemania 2, announces he has an automatic rematch clause so he gets to challenge The Sheik 1 on 1 for the Intercontinental Championship at Backlash during Pay Per View Weekend!
- Heenan announces that at the 3rd Annual Sammartino Invitational the Heenan Family will have two different entries: Bockwinkel and Race and Rude and Baker!
- Bockwinkel then once again says, instead of calling it the Sammartino Invitational, they should be calling the tournament the Sammartino Memorial after what he and Baker did to hospitalize Sammartino at Wrestlemania 2.
- Race then says since he and Bockwinkel both won at Wrestlemania 2 it should be one of them challenging World Champion Bruiser Brody at Backlash.
- Interim MLW Chairman Bob Backlund appears and says actually both Bockwinkel and Race will be challenging Brody at Backlash along with former champion Jimmy Snuka who had a rematch clause already signed going into his title defense vs Brody at Wrestlemania 2. So the main event at Backlash will be World Champion Bruiser Brody vs Jimmy Snuka vs Nick Bockwinkel vs Harley Race in a Fatal Fourway elimination match for the World Championship!
- Backlund finishes by saying in tonight's main event Brody will wrestle Snuka in a non-title match and also later tonight Bockwinkel and Race will wrestle the 2 time defending Sammartino Invitational winners the Brothers of Other Mothers (Bobo Brazil and Mil Mascaras)! Match #2: New Age Outlaws defeated Killer Bees, Greg Valentine and Brutus Beefcake, and Yukon Eric and Cousin Luke in a 4 way tag match.
- During this match, the TV announcers commented that all 4 of these tag teams have been officially entered in the 3rd Annual Sammartino Invitational.
- New Age Outlaws won this match when Kip James pinned B. Brian Blair via a STANDING LEG DROP. What type of seeding will the New Age Outlaws receive in the 3rd Annual Sammartino Invitational?
Backstage: MLW Tag Team Champions the Fabulous Kangaroos and their manager Captain Kangaroo (Captain Lou Albano) are shown watching the end of the match with Interim MLW Chairman Bob Backlund.
- The Kangaroos, who have held the MLW Tag Team Championship since Unforgiven, comment they've already defeated all the tag teams here on RAW, including the Brothers of Other Mothers at Wrestlemania 2 and all 4 of the tag teams in the last match, so they should just be given the night off at Backlash.
- Backlund responds that, although the Kangaroos have definitely earned themselves a #1 seed in the 3rd Annual Sammartino Invitational and have indeed defeated everyone on RAW, they haven't yet defeated EVERYONE on RAW all at once so at Backlash the Fabulous Kangaroos will defend their MLW Tag Team Championship against the Brothers of Other Mothers, the New Age Outlaws, the Killer Bees, Greg Valentine and Brutus Beefcake, and Yukon Eric and Cousin Luke in a tag team turmoil match!
- Backlund finishes by telling the Fabulous Kangaroos and their manager Captain Kangaroo that later tonight on RAW they will be wrestling the Fabulous Freebirds (Michael Hayes, Terry Gordy, and Buddy Roberts), one of the 4 visiting oustide tag teams participating in the 3rd Annual Sammartino Invitational, in a 6 man tag team match!
End of First Third. Second Third will be posted next!

Major League Wrestling (MLW) RAW Tuesday April 14, 2009 The Major League Wrestling Arena Las Vegas, NV (Second Third of show, First Third is Posted above)
Backstage: Gorgeous George and Iron Mike DiBiase are being interviewed by Ida Mae Martinez.
- George and DiBiase say once again they'll be teaming up in the Sammartino Invitational. George and DiBiase remind everyone that in last year's Sammartino Invitational they advanced all the way to the Elite Eight and their impressive run included a major Second Round upset over current MLW Tag Team Champions the Fabulous Kangaroos.
- Interim MLW Chairman Bob Backlund suddenly arrives and informs George and DiBiase that, although they will be teaming up together at the 3rd Annual Sammartino Invitational, up next tonight they will be wrestling each other as well as the Missing Link in a #1 contenders triple threat match with the winner challenging Cruiserweight Champion Pepper Gomez at Backlash during Pay Per View Weekend!
Match #3: Missing Link defeated Gorgeous George and Iron Mike DiBiase in a triple threat #1 contenders' cruiserweight match
- For this match, Cruiserweight Champion Pepper Gomez provided guest color commentary and stated that, despite his recent in-ring struggles, he'll still be the Cruiserweight Champion at the conclusion of Pay Per View Weekend.
- The Missing Link took advantage of an argument that broke out during this match between George and DiBiase to get the pinfall when he nailed an unsuspecting George with his BACK FLYING HEADBUTT.
- As a result, the Missing Link will challenge Cruiserweight Champion Pepper Gomez at Backlash.
- George and DiBiase are then informed that, instead of getting to challenge for a singles title in a 1 on 1 match at Backlash, they instead will be another entry in the tag team turmoil match for the MLW Championship at Backlash.
Backstage: Don Muraco with his manager Ladies Champion Sherri Martel and cowboy Bob Orton Jr.
- Martel tells Muraco, who is holding the MITB briefcase he won at Wrestlemania 2, she has entered him (Muraco) and Orton Jr. as a tag team in the 3rd Annual Sammartino Invitational.
- Suddenly DDP walks up to Muraco and asks him if he's going to cash in his MITB briefcase at Backlash after the winner between Brody, Snuka, Bockwinkel, and Race exhausts themselves winning the championship fatal fourway elimination match.
- Muraco, who's had issues with DDP since DDP (while serving as a special guest referee in the elimination chamber match at New Years Revolution) gave Muraco a DIAMOND CUTTER and then gave Muraco more backstage DIAMOND CUTTERS several additional times following the PPV, responds that he'll cash in his MITB briefcase when he's ready.
- DDP then asks Muraco why he doesn't treat the MITB briefcase like a title and put it on the line like he (DDP) did last year after winning the MITB match at the first Wrestlemania.
- Before Muraco responds, Backlund shows up and says that's a great idea and at Backlash it will be the two MITB winners, DDP vs Muraco going 1 on 1 in a ladder match for the MITB briefcase!
- Angry at this news, Muraco challenges DDP to find himself a tag team partner and wrestle him (Muraco) and Orton Jr. tonight on RAW. DDP accepts this challenge.
- In the Ring: DDP comes out and introduces his tag team partner both for tonight's match and for the 3rd Annual Sammartino Invitational- Jim Londos!
Match #4: Jim Londos and Diamond Dallas Page defeated Don Muraco (accompanied by Ladies Champion Sherri Martel) and Cowboy Bob Orton Jr.
- this competitive tag match ended when Martel attempted to smash Londos with Muraco's MITB briefcase but missed and instead accidentally hit Muraco who quickly tapped out as Londos immediately applied his BOSTON CRAB.
- The TV announcers wonder, how high of a seeding will Londos and DDP receive in the 3rd Annual Sammartino Invitational?
End of Second Third. Final Third will be posted next and includes MLW Tag Team Champions the Fabulous Kangaroos and their manager Captain Kangaroo vs the visiting Freebirds: Michael Hayes, Terry Gordy, and Buddy Roberts, the 2 time Sammartino Invitational winners the Brothers of Other Mothers (Bobo Brazil and Mil Mascaras) vs Nick Bockwinkel and Harley Race, the main event of Jimmy Snuka vs World Champion Bruiser Brody in a non-title Wrestlemania 2 Rematch, and more!

Match #5: The Freebirds (Michale Hayes, Terry Gordy, and Buddy Roberts) defeated MLW Tag Team Champions the Fabulous Kangaroos and their manager Captain Kangaroo by DQ in a 6 man tag team match
- The Freebirds, one of the 4 visiting tag teams participating in the 3rd Annual Sammartino Invitational later this month, battled the MLW Tag Team Champions the Kangaroos in a very competitive tag match that ended when Captain Kangaroo (Albano) tossed a steel chair to Al Costello who used it against Gordy for the DQ.
- Afterward the two teams brawled their way to the back as the TV announcers remind their audience that, in the sudden death system of the Sammartino Invitational, the Kangaroos will have to avoid try to avoid getting DQd like this if they hope to win the tournament and the $1 million cash prize.
Match #6: The Brothers of Other Mothers (Bobo Brazil and Mil Mascaras) defeated Nick Bockwinkel and Harley Race (managed by Bobby Heenan and accompanied by Heenan Family "problem solver" Ox Baker)

- This match ended when Brazil pinned Race via a COCO BUTT. Can the Brothers of Other Mothers win the Sammartino Invitational for the third year in a row?

- Shortly after this match began, Bockwinkel and Race (the other 2 participants along with Brody and Snuka in the fatal four way elimination match main event for Brody's title at Backlash) arrived and proceeded to attack viciously both Brody and Snuka prompting the referee to call for the bell. Smackdown starts off with the following highlights from the matches involving Smackdown participants at Wrestlemania 2 (full PPV results listed above on this fed thread):
- In the 3 way tag brand superiority match, RAW's New Age Outlaws started off strong by eliminating Smackdown's Armstrongs when B.G. James pinned Brad Armstrong via the PUMP HANDLE SLAM but then lost the match to EAWA's Heroes of Hardcore when Hardcore Hodge pinned B.G. James via an OKLAHOMA SIDEROLL.
- Dan "the Beast" Severn used a fireman's carry slam to pin Antonio Inoki. During the 3 count, Inoki put his boot on the ropes, but Severn shoved Inoki's foot off the ropes before the referee noticed and got awarded the victory.
- United States Champion Steve "Dr. Death" Williams used his OKLAHOMA STAMPEDE to retain his title by defeating his former manager Killer Kowalski.
- In a special attraction match, visiting Andre the Giant defeated both Ivan Koloff and Nikolai Volkoff in a 1 on 2 handicap match when he made Volkoff submit to a bearhug. Andre then pinned Koloff via the BIG SPLASH before grabbing Koloff and Volkoff's manager Nikita Breznikov and also giving him (Breznikov) the BIG SPLASH.
- In the best 2 out of 3 falls no DQ tag title unification match, the United States Tag Team Champions the Midnight Express won the first fall when Jim Cornette whacked Road Warrior Animal in the face with his tennis racket allowing Bobby Eaton to get the pinfall on Road Warrior Animal. After the first fall, Destina (making a guest appearance by accompanying the Road Warriors to ringside for this match in Chicago) gave Cornette a Gladiator piledriver which caused the interfering manager to get carried away on a stretcher. The World Tag Team Champions the Road Warriors won the second fall when Road Warrior Animal pinned Stand Lane following the DOOMSDAY DEVICE. The World Tag Team Champions the Road Warriors proceeded to win the third and deciding fall, and thus also the United States Tag Team Championship from the Midnight Express to unify the 2 tag titles on Smackdown, when Road Warrior Animal pinned Stan Lane after 4 straight spike piledrivers followed by the DOOMSDAY DEVICE.
- George Hackenschmidt defeated his former Horsemen teammate Buddy Rogers via the RUSSIAN BEARHUG to win the MLW Championship- Hackenschmidt's 1st ever title in Major League Wrestling (MLW)!

- During this match, the TV announcers mentioned that both of these tag teams have registered to participate in the upcoming 3rd Annual Sammartino Invitational.
- The Mongols picked up the victory when Geeto Mongol pinned Bastien via a TOP ROPE KNEE DROP.
End of First Third. Second Third will be posted next.

Major League Wrestling (MLW) Smackdown Friday April 17, 2009 The Major League Wrestling Arena Las Vegas, NV (Second Third of show, First Third is posted above)
In the Ring: The Four Horsemen (Buddy Rogers, Johnny Valentine, Larry Zbyszko, and Rikidozan) with their manager Eddie Fyne.
- Fyne first announces that for the 3rd Sammartino Invitational Rogers will be teaming with Rikidozan and Valentine will be teaming with Zbyszko.
- Fyne then says that, although Wrestlemania 2 didn't go too well for the Horsemen as Rogers lost the MLW Championship to Hackenschmidt and Rikidozan lost to Gotch, things are soon going to start improving as the Horsemen at Judgment Day during Pay Per View Weekend are cashing in all 3 of their automatic title shots they won back at Survivor Series.
- Fyne explains, at Judgment Day, Valentine and Zbyszko are each cashing in one of the 3 automatic title shots to challenge together the World Tag Team Champions the Road Warriors and Rikidozan will cash in the Horsemen's third and last remaining automatic title shot against United States Champion Steve "Dr. Death" Williams who will come to regret his decision in February of turning down the offer to become a member of the Four Horsemen.
- Fyne continues by saying, at Judgment Day, Rogers will use his automatic rematch that was in his Wrestlemania 2 contract to regain the MLW Championship from Hackenschmidt and then the Four Horsemen will once again rule Smackdown with a championship around each of their waists!
- Interim MLW General Manager Bob Backlund arrives and says he'll grant Rikidozan's challenge against United States Champion Steve "Dr. Death Williams at Judgment Day and also grant Valentine and Zbyszko's challenge against the Road Warriors at Judgment Day- but they will also be wrestling the Midnight Express in a 3 way tag elimination match at Judgment Day because the Midnight Express get their automatic rematch at the next Smackdown PPV per the conditions of the title unification match at Wrestlemania 2 where they lost their United States Tag Team Championship to the Road Warriors who merged it with the World Tag Team Championship.
- Backlund, however, says Rogers doesn't actually have an automatic rematch since apparently both he (Rogers) and Fyne were so confident Rogers would defeat Hackenschmidt at Wrestlemania 2 they neglected to insist a rematch clause be included in the contract for that match at Wrestlemania 2. And since he (Backlund) just granted the other Horsemen's intentions to cash in all their 3 title shots, Rogers doesn't get an automatic title shot at Wrestlemania 2.
- Instead, Backlund says Rogers will wrestle a triple threat #1 contenders' match tonight on Smackdown against Frank Gotch and Dan "the Beast" Severn- two wrestlers who actually won their matches at Wrestlemania 2- and the winner will challenge Hackenschmidt at Judgment Day!
Match #3: The Armstrongs defeated Tiger Mask and Jushin Liger
- As this match started, the TV announcers commented that both of these two tag teams have registered as entries in the 3rd Annual Sammartino Invitational.
- This match ended when Brad Armstrong pinned Liger via a RUSSIAN LEG SWEEP.
Match #4: Mr. Canada and The Mountie defeated Buff Bagwell and the Boogie Woogie Man
- As this match began, the TV announcers mentioned that both Bagwell and the Boogie Woogie Man and Mr. Canada and The Mountie have registered as entries in the 3rd Annual Sammartino Invitational.
- This match ended when Mr. Canada defeated the Boogie Woogie Man via his SLEEPER after The Mountie twice got away with zapping the Boogie Woogie Man with his SHOCK STICK.
Backstage: Despite being informed by Backlund that both the World Tag Team Champions the Road Warriors and themselves will be entered as 2 of the 4 #1 seeds in the 3rd Annual Sammartino Invitational, the Midnight Express and their manager Jim Cornette complain about now also having to fight Valentine and Zbyszko in addition to the defending World Tag Team Champions the Road Warriors in a 3 way tag elimination match at Judgment Day.
- Backlund responds that Cornette and the Midnight Express should worry more about what they're doing tonight because he has booked them to wrestled the Fantastics- one of the 4 visiting tag teams entering this year's Sammartino Invitational!
Match #5: Killer Kowalski and Don Leo Jonathan defeated United States Champion Steve "Dr. Death" Williams and Hacksaw Jim Duggan
- As this match began, the TV announcers mentioned that both Williams and Duggan and Kowalski and DLJ have registered as entries in the 3rd Annual Sammartino Invitational.
- This match ended when Kowalski (the former manager of Williams who he lost to at Wrestlemania 2) pinned Duggan via his bombs away knee drop while getting away with holding the ropes for extra leverage as the referee made the 3 count.
Backstage: Backlund informs the World Tag Team Champions the Road Warriors that tonight on Smackdown they will be wrestling a non-title match against Demolition- one of the 4 visiting tag teams entering this year's Sammartino Invitational!
End of Second Third. Final Third will be posted next and includes the Fantastics vs the Midnight Express, the World Tag Team Champions the Road Warriors vs Demolition, Frank Gotch vs Dan "the Beast" Severn vs Buddy Rogers in a #1 contenders' triple threat match for the right to challenge MLW Champion George Hackenschmidt at Judgment Day, and more!

Major League Wrestling (MLW) Smackdown Friday April 17, 2009 The Major League Wrestling Arena Las Vegas, NV (Final Third of show, First Third and Second Third are both posted above)
In the Ring: Ivan Koloff and Nikolai Volkoff with their manager Nikita Breznikov are on one side of the ring and Antonio Inoki is on the other side of the ring.
- Breznikov (to Inoki): "You idiot. This is supposed to be a 6 man tag team match which means you need two more tag team partners. Do you have two more tag team partners?"
- Inoki nods and points toward the ramp as the entrance music "I Love Rock 'N Roll" is played to accompany the visiting Rock 'N Roll Express to the ring.
- As this match gets set to start, the TV announcers comment that both Koloff and Volkoff and (as one of the 4 visiting outside tag teams) the Rock 'N Roll Express are entered in the upcoming 3rd Annual Sammartino Invitational.
Match #6: Antonio Inoki and the Rock 'N Roll Express defeated Ivan Koloff, Nikita Breznikov, and Nikita Breznikov in a 6 man tag team match.
- Koloff, Volkoff, and Breznikov through a series of quick tags had Robert Gibson in serious trouble until Gibson finally was able to make a tag to Inoki. Inoki unleashed an offensive onslaught that culminated with making Koloff tap out to his OCTOPUS HOLD for the victory.
(note: I used the Rock 'N Roll Express cards from Cory Olson's LOW Bootlegs group)
Backstage: Rogers tells his fellow Horsemen Valentine, Zbyszko, and Rikidozan and their manager Fyne to keep a close eye on his #1 contenders' triple threat match tonight against Gotch and Severn and if necessary do what they did at No Mercy (where Rikidozan attacked Gotch in the Gotch-Rogers main event) to ensure he gets the win.
- But unseen by the Four Horsemen, Backlund overhears this conversation and surprises the Horsemen by confronting them to say that anyone of them who interferes in the triple threat match tonight will get fired and then bans all of them from ringside for Rogers' match tonight.
Backstage: Gotch walks up to Hackenschmidt and congratulates him on winning the MLW Championship from Rogers at Wrestlemania 2 and offers to be Hackenschmidt's tag team partner in the 3rd Annual Sammartino Invitational. Hackenschmidt says it would be an honor to be Gotch's tag team partner in the tournament.
MLW Draft Announcement: An advertisement for the annual MLW Draft is shown saying the draft between RAW, Smackdown, and the EAWA will take place on Friday May 22nd!
Match #7: Dan "the Beast" Severn defeated Frank Gotch and Buddy Rogers in a #1 contenders' match
- The end of this match came when Gotch got knocked down into one of the corner turnbuckles as Severn applied his finisher the WAKIGATAME on Rogers. Rogers motioned for Gotch to make the pin save but Gotch was unable to do so because he got one of his feet trapped between the ropes and the turnbuckle. Realizing he couldn't make the pin save for his long time enemy Rogers, Gotch instead smiled and waved at Rogers as the 4 time former MLW Champion was forced to tap out.
- As a result of his victory, Severn gets to challenge Hackenschmidt for the MLW Championship at Judgment Day during Pay Per View Weekend!
- Afterward, as Gotch shook hands with Severn to congratulate him, Rogers seethed with anger directed at Gotch.
Match #8: The Midnight Express (managed by Jim Cornette) defeated the Fantastics.
- This match ended when Bobby Eaton pinned Tommy Rogers via the VEG-O-MATIC.
- The announcers comment that we already know the Midnight Express are going to be a #1 seed in the 3rd Annual Sammartino Invitational, but where will the visiting but highly-acclaimed Fantastics be ranked in the 64 tag team tournament?
(note: I used the Fantastics cards from Cory Olson's LOW Bootlegs group)
Backstage: Gotch is walking down the hallway when he is suddenly attacked by all 4 of the Four Horsemen and their manager Fyne. As Valentine and Zbyszko hold up Gotch while Rikidozan repeatedly gives him THUNDEROUS CHOPS, Rogers accuses Gotch of purposely not making the pin save for him (Rogers) in tonight's triple threat #1 contenders' match. Rogers says that although he won't get a chance to regain his MLW Championship at Judgment day, as a consolation for the last time he plans to teach Gotch a lesson at Judgment Day by taking him to Hell as, for the first time ever in their classic feud, Rogers says he's already arranged to take on Gotch in a Hell in a Cell match at Judgment Day!
Judgment Day PPV Advertisement Judgment Day presented by MLW's Smackdown brand as part of the upcoming 3 day Pay Per View Weekend Saturday May 16th 1. MLW Champion George Hackenschmidt vs Dan "the Beast" Severn 2. Frank Gotch vs Buddy Rogers (Hell in a Cell) 3. United States Champion Steve "Dr. Death" Williams vs Rikidozan 4. World Tag Team Champions the Road Warriors vs Midnight Express vs Johnny Valentine and Larry Zbyszko in a 3 way tag elimination match 5. more matches TBA
Match #9, the main event: World Tag Team Champions the Road Warriors defeated Demolition
- As this match got underway, the TV announcers comment they've been informed that Demolition will be awarded a #3 seed in the upcoming 3rd Annual Sammartino Invitational.
- The Road Warriors battled their way to victory in this match when Road Warrior Animal pinned Smash via the DOOMSDAY DEVICE.
(note: I used the Demolition cards from Cory Olson's LOW Bootlegs group)
- As the Road Warriors stand triumphant on top of the turnbuckles with their championship belts held over their hands, the TV announcers wonder aloud if the Road Warriors will be able to win the Sammartino Invitational for their first time this year.
End of Show. See you tomorrow for this week's edition of Saturday EAWA!

It's now time for this week's edition of Saturday EAWA!
Major League Wrestling (MLW) EAWA Saturday April 18, 2009 The Major League Wrestling Arena Las Vegas, NV (First Half of show)
EAWA starts off with the following highlights from the matches involving EAWA participants at Wrestlemania 2 (full PPV results listed above on this fed thread)
- Antonino Rocca forced Bob Orton Sr. to tap out to his ARGENTINIAN BACKBREAKER to win the EAWA Championship!
- During the 30 man Major League Wrestling vs Minor League Wrestling battle royal, Konnan betrayed Angelo Mosca by attempting to eliminate him. But Mosca then eliminated Konnan. The Crusher won the battle royal by simultaneously eliminating Minor League Wrestling Champion Mike Quackenbush and S.D. Jones.
- In the Money in the Bank ladder match, Mr. Perfect is turned on by Don Muraco who was his former tag team partner when they were Magnificent Perfection on RAW. Despite King Kong Bundy's attempted interference to help his boss EAWA General Manager the Million Dollar Man Ted DiBiase, this match was won by Muraco.
Match #1: Playboy Buddy Rose (accompanied by Danny Doring) defeated Chris Candido (accompanied by Tom Prichard and managed by Tammy) in a #1 contenders' cruiserweight match.
- Before this match started, ring announcer Gary Michael Cappetta informed everyone that the winner of this match gets to challenge for the Cruiserweight Championship at Sin City Showdown during Pay Per View Weekend.
- During this match, the TV announcers comment that both Rose and Doring and the Bodydonnas (Candido and Prichard) have registered for the 3rd Annual Sammartino Invitational.
- Although Candido controlled the majority of the action, Rose pulled out the win via his BOMBS AWAY.
- As a result, Rose gets to challenge for the Cruiserweight Championship at Sin City Showdown during Pay Per View Weekend. Can Rose, MLW's first-ever Cruiserweight Champion, regain the title?
In the Ring: EAWA General Manager the Million Dollar Man Ted DiBiase accompanied by King Kong Bundy and Virgil.
- DiBiase says that although he didn't win the Money in the Bank ladder match at Wrestlemania 2, he doesn't need that briefcase for a title shot at the EAWA Championship since he runs the EAWA and thus at Sin City Showdown it will be EAWA Champion Antonino Rocca vs himself (DiBiase)! But first, in tonight's main event, Rocca will wrestle DiBiase's top employee Bundy!
- DiBiase also announces that at Sin City Showdown the EAWA Tag Team Champions the Valiants will defend their title in a 3 way tag elimination match against both the Vachons and the Heroes of Hardcore (who won the tag elimination brand superiority match at Wrestlemania 2)!
- Finally, DiBiase also announces the creation of a secondary title here on EAWA called the Brass Knuckles Championship which must always be defended in some type of special hardcore match! At Sin City Showdown, to determine the first-ever Brass Knuckles Champion, there will be an 8 man tournament of 7 different hardcore matches involving The Crusher, Giant Baba, Bob Orton Sr., Masked Superstar, Ray Stevens, Sabu, the Terrible Turk, and Chris Candido!
Match #2: Terrible Turk defeated Sabu
- This match, featuring 2 of the 8 participants in the hardcore tournament at Sin City Showdown for the new Brass Knuckles Championship, was won by the Terrible Turk via his STRANGLEHOLD for which he can't get disqualified for here in the extreme rules natured EAWA. Backstage: Larry "the Axe" Hennig is walking down the hallway where he runs into his son Mr. Perfect.
- The Axe tells Mr. Perfect that he (Mr. Perfect) learned at Wrestlemania 2 that he can't trust his choice of friends as his former tag team partner Muraco turned on him (Perfect) in the Money in the Bank ladder match.
- The Axe then tells Mr. Perfect (who stares at his father without saying a word) he's on his way to the ring to teach one of these EAWA extremists the Sandman a lesson as he (the Axe) keeps trying to get the EAWA to revert back from its extremist nature to something more resembling the old AWA where they both wrestled and as long as Mr. Perfect won't join in his father's cause "you're no son of mine."
MLW Draft Promo A promo is shown saying that this year's annual MLW Draft between MLW's RAW, Smackdown, and EAWA brands will be held on Friday May 22.

- Afterward, both the Sandman and Credible proceeded to viciously beat down Hennig until Mr. Perfect ran down to make the save to shock everyone in The Major League Wrestling Arena. Mr. Perfect then helped the medics and EMTs load his father up on a stretcher to take him to the back.
Backstage: Smackdown's Fritz Von Goering approaches the Terrible Turk and says he likes the Turk's STRANGLEHOLD finisher and asks if the Turk will team up with him as an inter-promotional entry in the 3rd Annual Sammartino Invitational. The Terrible Turk agrees.

- During this match, the TV announcer comment that both of these tag teams have registered to participate in the 3rd Annual Sammartino Invitational.
- Despite recent setbacks, the Valiants managed to win this match when Johnny Valiant pinned Alofa via his SPINNING NECKBREAKER.
- But will the Valiants still hold the EAWA Championship after Sin City Showdown when they defend their title against both the Vachons and the Heroes of Hardcore in a 3 way tag elimination match?
- Backstage: Angelo Mosca approaches Konnan.
- Before Mosca speaks, Konnan says "No, Angelo. I won't be your tag team partner in the 3rd Annual Sammartino Invitational. I'm already teaming up with Sabu instead."
- Mosca: "I'm teaming up with The Crusher in the 3rd Annual Sammartino Invitational. I don't want to team up with you, I only team up with people I can trust." Mosca adds he's going to teach Konnan a lesson for trying to back-stab him (Mosca) in the battle royal at Wrestlemania 2 because he just came from DiBiase's office and at Sin City Showdown it will be Angelo Mosca vs Konnan!
End of First Half. Second Half will be posted next and includes an update on the condition of Larry "the Axe Hennig, the Heroes of Hardcore vs the Vachons, the main event of EAWA Champion Antonino Rocca vs King Kong Bundy, and more!
