After presenting Vengeance over 3 weeks ago, Major League Wrestling's (MLW's) RAW brand returns to action!
Major League Wrestling (MLW) RAW Thursday August 6, 2009 The Major League Wrestling Arena Las Vegas, NV
Match #1: Intercontinental Champion The Sheik defeated Cousin Luke (accompanied by Yukon Eric and Ida Mae Martinez) in a non-title match
- Cousin Luke surprisingly put up a great fight. But The Sheik, who controversially retained his Intercontinental Championship at Vengeance against Mil Mascaras by getting himself disqualified, finally won via a FIREBALL.
Office of RAW General Manager Bob Backlund: Backlund, watching the ending of the match between The Sheik and Cousin Luke with Mil Mascaras, tells Mascaras that at Summer Slam Mascaras gets a rematch against The Sheik for the Intercontinental Championship- but this time it will be in a no DQ match!
Backstage: Returning from the ringside area from the opening match, Ida Mae Martinez (accompanied by Yukon Eric and Cousin Luke) runs into Rick Rude.
- Rude reminds Martinez she agreed to spend a night with him and asks her when that is going to take place.
- Yukon Eric then tells Rude he tricked her with that shoe con you see all over New Orleans into making that deal and he is challenging Rude to a match next week on RAW and if he (Yukon Eric) wins that match then Martinez is freed from her promise to spend a night with Rude. Rude, who defeated Yukon Eric in a match at Vengeance, condescendingly accepts Yukon Eric's challenge.
Match #2: John Pesek defeated Jim Brunzell
- This match marked Pesek's debut.
- Before the match started, Brunzell announced that his tag team partner B. Brian Blair has just started his 28 Days after recently being found lying face down in a bar in New Orleans- so B;air will be back on RAW in 1 month.
- Despite being loudly backed by the crowd with chants of "Bee Up!," Brunzell lost to Pesek via a DOUBLE WRISTLOCK.
Office of RAW General Manager Bob Backlund: Backlund is with Heenan Family members Harley Race, Nick Bockwinkel, Bobby Heenan, and Ox Baker.
- Backlund tells Race tonight's main event is a rematch between him (Race) and Frank Gotch from Vengeance where Race defeated Gotch- but tonight it will be a best 2 out of 3 falls contest to determine whether Race or Gotch will challenge World Champion Bruiser Brody in the RAW portion of the main event at Summer Slam!
- Bockwinkel then interrupts to demand why he isn't being considered for the main event at Summer Slam. Bockwinkel replies that MLW Chairman Bruno Sammartino, who refereed the main event at Vengeance where Bockwinkel challenged but failed to defeat Brody and who has been feuding with Bockwinkel for months, plans to wrestle Bockwinkel himself at Summer Slam!
- Bockwinkel laughs and says it will be just like Wrestlemania 2 where he easily defeated Sammartino (after Baker got away with giving Sammartino a HEART PUNCH from ringside).
- Backlund responds that it won't be like at Wrestlemania 2 because at Summer Slam it will be Sammartino vs Bockwinkel in a steel cage match!
Match #3: Jimmy Snuka defeated the Masked Superstar
- This was a rematch from Vengeance where the Masked Superstar defeated Snuka. But this time Snuka got the victory via his SUPERFLY LEAP.
- Afterward, Backlund came out to announce that since Snuka and the Masked Superstar each have one victory against each other, next week on RAW will be a deciding match between Snuka and the Masked Superstar with the winner receiving a spot in the #1 contenders' multi-brand Scramble Match at Summer Slam!
Match #4: Jim Londos defeated Diamond Dallas Page
- This was a rematch from Vengeance where DDP defeated his recent tag team partner Londos. But this time Londos got the victory via a grinding arm bar.
- Afterward, Backlund came out to announce that since Londos and DDP each have one victory against each other, next week on RAW will be a deciding match between Londos and DDP with the winner receiving a spot in the #1 contenders' multi-brand Scramble match at Summer Slam!

Match #5: MLW Tag Team Champions the Fabulous Kangaroos (managed by Captain Kangaroo) defeated Don Muraco and Cowboy Bob Orton Jr. (both managed by Ladies Champion Sherri Martel) in a non-title match
- Although they put up a much better fight tonight than they did at Vengeance in their title match opportunity against the champion Kangaroos, Muraco and Orton Jr. lost when Muraco got pinned by Roy Heffernan following a double team pummel from both Kangaroos that Martel tried to break up by swinging Muraco's Money in the Bank briefcase- but she accidentally once again hit Muraco with the briefcase instead.
Match #6, the main event: Frank Gotch defeated Harley Race (managed by Bobby Heenan and accompanied by Heenan family "problem solver" Ox Baker) 2-1 in a best 2 out of 3 falls match
- For this match to determine his challenger at Summer Slam, World Champion Bruiser Brody provided guest color commentary.
- First Fall: Race defeated Gotch Race goes up 1-0 via his PILEDRIVER
- Second Fall: Gotch defeated Race Gotch even the score at 1-1 via his GOTCH TOEHOLD.
- Third/Deciding Fall: Gotch defeated Race This was a great fall that included a total of 9 near pin/submission attempts between Gotch and Race as both showed their clear determination to pick up the victory for the right to challenge Brody at Summer Slam. Overcoming attempted interference from both Heenan and Baker, Gotch finally got the win via an Iowa backdrop to win 2-1.
As Gotch celebrated and made his way up the ramp, Race got on the microphone.
Race: "Frank Gotch, you may have defeated me 2-1 tonight on RAW, but I beat you last time we met at Vengeance. That makes the score an even 2-2 in my mind. So I demand to either be let into the title match at Summer Slam against you and Brody as a triple threat match or I challenge you to face me 1 more time next week on RAW to settle the score."
- Gotch gives no indication of whether he'll accept Race's challenge as he heads backstage while the crowd the crowd boos Race and tonight's show comes to an end.
End of Show. See you tomorrow for Friday Night Smackdown!

Thanks MHurst, your cool comments are always appreciated!
Major League Wrestling (MLW) Smackdown Friday August 7, 2009 The Major League Wrestling Arena Las Vegas NV
Match #1: Bobby Eaton (accompanied by Stan Lane and managed by Jim Cornette) defeated Bobo Brazil (accompanied by Dan "the Beast" Severn)
- This opening match featured one half of each of the two tag teams set to clash at Summer Slam when the World Tag Team Champions the Midnight Express defend their title against Brazil and Severn.
- It appeared Brazil had Eaton pinned via his COCO BUTT. But, as Lane proceeded to get in a brawl around the ringside area with Severn, Cornette successfully distracted the referee by jumping on the apron. Brazil went over to grab Cornette who in the process dropped his tennis racket in the ring where a recovering Eaton grabbed Cornette's racket and smashed it against Brazil and then executed a top rope elbow as the referee turned around to make the 3 count.
Match #2: Bob Roop (accompanied by Hacksaw Jim Duggan) defeated George South
- Making his in-ring debut, Roop was accompanied by Duggan who last week on Smackdown praised Roop for representing the United States in the Olympics.
- Roop had no problem in his first match as he impressively put away South quickly via a SHOULDER BREAKER.
- After the match, as Roop was being awarded the victory, the recorded voice "My name is The Strangler and I like to fight" was played over the loudspeakers and Ed "the Strangler" Lewis came out to his bagpipe music to stand at the top of the ramp. Lewis mockingly clapped for Roop's victory before repeating the same message he gave Roop last week- he (Lewis) doesn't consider Roop an actual professional wrestler until Roop can prove he can match up with Lewis in the ring.
Match #3: Tiger Mask and Angelo Mosca defeated Fritz Von Goering and Mr. Canada
- This tag team match pitted Tiger Mask and Angelo Mosca against their respective enemies Von Goering and Mr. Canada (Bill "Red" Lyons).
- This match ended when Tiger Mask pinned Mr. Canada via a TIGER SUPLEX.
Match #4: Don Leo Jonathan defeated Antonio Inoki
- DLJ won this match via a rolling back splash followed by putting his feet on the ropes for extra leverage as the referee made the 3 count.
- As a result of DLJ's victory tonight, Inoki and DLJ are both 2-2 against each other in their last 4 matches as mentioned by Smackdown General Manager Dusty Rhodes who also announced that, next week on Smackdown, Inoki and DLJ will wrestle each other once again in a deciding match that will also determine which one of them gets Smackdown's spot in the #1 contender's multi-brand Summer Slam Scramble match!

Bobo Brazil and Dan "the Beast" Severn vs World Tag Team Champions the Midnight Express 6. Summer Slam Scramble Match- participants TBA 7. more matches TBA
Match #5: Road Warriors defeated Ivan Koloff and Nikolai Volkoff (both managed by Nikita Breznikov)
- The Road Warriors won this match over their enemies Koloff and Volkoff by DQ when the referee disqualified Koloff for using his chain to attack Road Warrior Hawk.
- As referees and other backstage officials worked to restore order, the TV announcers wonder aloud to their audience who will the Road Warriors be wrestling against at Summer Slam?
Match #6, the main event: Buddy Rogers and United States Champion Rikidozan (both managed by Eddie Fyne and accompanied by Johnny Valentine and Larry Zbyszko) defeated MLW Champion George Hackenschmidt and Antonino Rocca
- Rogers and Rikidozan, for this match against their respective Summer Slam opponents Hackenschmidt and Rocca, were accompanied by their fellow Four Horsemen members Valentine and Zbyszko.
- This match ended when Rikidozan pinned Hackenschmidt via THUNDEROUS CHOPS.
- As the Four Horsemen celebrate the impressive victory by Rogers and Rikidozan, the TV announcers wonder aloud if this match could presage a victorious Summer Slam for the Horsemen when Rikidozan defends the United States Championship against Rocca and when Rogers tries to regain the MLW Championship from Hackenschmidt as tonight's show comes to an end.
End of Show. See you tomorrow for this week's edition of Saturday EAWA!

Thanks ceo- good to hear from you once again!
It's now time for this week's edition of EAWA (the Extreme AWA). With just 2 weeks until Summer Slam, will this be the edition where Rob Van Dam finally makes his long-awaited debut?
Major League Wrestling (MLW) EAWA Saturday August 8, 2009 The Major League Wrestling Arena Las Vegas, NV (First Half of the show)
Match #1: Playboy Buddy Rose defeated D'Lo Brown
- This match marked Brown's in-ring debut.
- Good opening match and Brown looked impressive in his first match, but Rose finally put Brown away via BOMBS AWAY.
In the Ring: EAWA General Manager the Million Dollar Man Ted DiBiase accompanied by King Kong Bundy and Virgil.
- DiBiase says if it wasn't for RVD suddenly playing his entrance music during the end of the elimination chamber match at Bad Blood to distract DiBiase, then DiBiase would have won the vacant EAWA Championship that night.
- And because RVD cheated him, DiBiase says, he's made tonight's main event a title match of EAWA Champion the Iron sheik vs himself, the Million Dollar Man Ted DiBiase!
- DiBiase says Rob Van Dam thinks he outsmarted him (DiBiase) by signing a contract with MLW Chairman Bruno Sammartino that allows RVD, and not DiBiase, to determine when RVD will make his first appearance on EAWA. However, DiBiase says there is a clause in that contract that stipulates RVD only has a 30 day period before he has to appear or his contract is null and void. And, according to DiBiase, that 30 day period happens to expire on August 23- the day of Summer Slam!
- DiBiase: "Having said that, it's now time for someone to make their debut here on EAWA."
- Everyone in the arena stands up hoping to see RVD come out, but it turns out the wrestler making his debut is actually Al Snow!
Match #2: Rapping Red Bastien defeated Al Snow.
- Snow didn't do too good in his debut match as he lost to Bastien via the ATOMIC DROP.
Match #3: Ray Stevens defeated Bob Orton Sr.
- Stevens got revenge against his enemy Orton Sr. for eliminating him in the elimination chamber match at Bad Blood by defeating him in this match via BOMB'S AWAY.
Match #4: The Terrible Turk defeated The Crusher
- Using his controversial STRANGLEHOLD for which he can't get disqualified for here in the EAWA, the Terrible Turk scored an upset over former EAWA Champion and former Brass Knuckles Champion The Crusher with his finishing hold while wrapping his feet around the ropes for extra leverage.
Match #5: Steve "Dr. Death" Williams defeated Killer Kowalski
- Williams, who lost to his enemy and former manager Kowalski in a last man standing match at Bad Blood, got revenge in this match as he won via Doctor Bomb.
End of First Half. Second Half will be posted next and includes a midget match, a #1 contender's tag team battle royal, Brass Knuckles Champion Sabu vs Giant Baba, and the main event of EAWA Champion the Iron Sheik vs EAWA General Manager the Million Dollar Man Ted DiBiase. Also, will the Second Half see the long awaited debut of RVD?

- Sabu wins via a deathjump.
Backstage: The Missing Link is seen staring intently at Head until Al Snow comes by to pick up Head and take it away.
Match #7: Little Beaver defeated Sky Low Low
- In the first-ever midgit match in Major League Wrestling History, Little Beaver got the win via BOOMERANG.
Match #8: Double Axe Attack win a #1 contender's tag team battle royal

Heroes of Hardcore (Mr. Perfect knocked Hardcore Hodge over the top rope via a dropkick) 4. Mongols (Larry Hennig threw Bepo Mongol over the top rope)
Winners: Double Axe Attack
- As a result, the Double Axe Attack will challenge EAWA Tag Team Champions the Valiants next week on EAWA.
Match #9: EAWA General Manager the Million Dollar Man Ted DiBiase (accompanied by King Kong Bundy and Virgil) defeated EAWA Champion the Iron Sheik
- Before this match began, DiBiase ordered both Bundy and Virgil to spread out to guard against the possible surprise debut appearance of RVD.
- DiBiase used a powerslam to pin the Iron Sheik to win the EAWA Championship as the Iron Sheik proved to be no more than a 1 month or so transitional champion.
- As DiBiase was in the ring with his newly-won championship with Bundy and Virgil, suddenly the lights went dark and on the Titan Tron once again a message flashed saying: Save Us RVD, Save Us."
And then RVD's entrance music "One of a Kind" is played:
- As DiBiase, Bundy, and Virgil brace themselves in the ring, the fans stand to their feet eagerly waiting and waiting for the expected arrival of RVD....................................................... but he still doesn't appear yet.

(Promoter's Note: I just realized I forgot to post the results of my "B" shows from last weekend, here they are now).
It's now time for this week's Sunday morning editions of Heat and Velocity- the B shows for Major League Wrestling's (MLW's) RAW and Smackdown brands respectively!
(note: The way my B shows work is that they're a way to use the wrestlers who didn't make TV this week on RAW or Smackdown and also a way through the RAW Replay and the Smackdown Slam of the week to review some things that happened that week on RAW and Smackdown. I will also sometimes bring up wrestlers from my developmental brand Minor League Wrestling to work a match on these shows which, although they're not on every week, take place on Sunday mornings 1 hour each over a straight two hour period.)

Bobo Brazil and Dan "the Beast" Severn vs World Tag Team Champions the Midnight Express 6. Summer Slam Scramble Match- participants TBA 7. more matches TBA

RAW Replay: Footage from the most recent RAW shows Frank Gotch defeating Harley Race 2-1 in a best 2 out of 3 falls match to win the right to challenge World Champion Bruiser Brody at Summer Slam. Afterward, Race said he actually considered the real score between him and Gotch to be 2-2 since he defeated Gotch at Vengeance and challenged Gotch to 1 more match next week on RAW for the right to challenge Brody at Summer Slam. Will Gotch accept Race's challenge?
Match #5: Gorgeous George defeated Jushin Liger by DQ.
- Great match that included 3 near pinfalls by George and 3 near pinfalls for Liger- including one via SHOOTING STAR PRESS.
- George got the win over his enemy Liger (who defeated George in their match at Vengeance) when he moved out of the way while Liger was performing a deathjump and Liger accidentally hit the referee instead.

Match #1: Iron Mike DiBiase defeated Erick Stevens

But the end came when Stevens threw DiBiase into the turnbuckle and charged after him only to get hit with the boots of DiBiase who pushed himself up on the turnbuckle to deflect the charge. DiBiase then climbed to the top of the turnbuckle to get to the top rope and performed his TOP ROPE KNEE DROP for the win.

Smackdown Slam of the Week: This week's Slam of the Week is actually from EAWA where EAWA General Manager the Million Dollar Man Ted DiBiase is shown giving EAWA Champion the Iron Sheik a powerslam to win the EAWA Championship!
- The footage then continues to show how DiBiase's resulting in-ring celebration got interrupted by the sudden playing of RVD's entrance music and another flashing message of "Save Us RVD, Save Us"- but RVD once again still did not make his eagerly awaited debut appearance.
Atrocity Announcement: A promo is shown saying that starting next week the EAWA brand will also have a "B" show and it will be called Atrocity!
Match #5: Boogie Woogie Man defeated Buff Bagwell
- Bagwell controlled the majority of the action and scored 5 near pinfalls. But the Boogie Woogie Man scored a sudden victory over his enemy and former tag team partner Bagwell when he put Bagwell away via his SLEEPER right after Bagwell was recoiling backward from missing a turnbuckle charge.
