Summerslam was great! A solid show from top to bottom!
- I think the Million Dollar Man will have something to say about RVD taking his EAWA title. - Bruiser Brody looked impressive retaining his title in BOTH matches. - Road Warriors over the Kangeroos... I think a rubber match is in order! - Buddy Rodgers wins his 5th MLW title - wow!
And thanks for taking the time to read my GWF fed!

I liked SummerSlam a lot. Definitely a stacked card by all means. Glad that Brody retained his title in both bouts.

Thanks to both ceo and Switchfoot for their cool comments.
Once again, Major League Wrestling (MLW) is taking this weekend off because I'm going to California to see PWG's Speed of Sound show. But MLW action returns next weekend!

Following a 1 week break after its annual Summer Slam PPV, Major League Wrestling (MLW) is back in action!
Major League Wrestling (MLW) RAW Thursday September 3, 2009 The Major League Wrestling Arena Las Vegas, NV (First Half of show)
Titan Tron: The show starts off with the Titan Tron showing Harley Race with Bobby Heenan and the Heenan Family "problem solver" Ox Baker both standing behind him.
- Race: "Frank Gotch, you never should have been added to my match at Summer Slam against World Champion Bruiser Brody and it was your involvement that prevented me from becoming the first wrestler in Major League Wrestling to hold both the MLW Championship and the World Championship. Well tonight on RAW, Gotch, I'm going to teach you a lesson you won't soon forget in a no holds barred match!"
Match #1: Diamond Dallas Page defeated Cruiserweight Champion Pepper Gomez in a non-title match
- This match was no DQ because DDP isn't a cruiserweight.
- Gomez had the momentum early and actually scored 4 pin/submission attempts before DDP battled back and won after 2 straight DIAMONDCUTTERS.
Match #2: Exotic Adrian Street defeated Jim Brunzell by DQ
- Before this match started, Brunzell announced that his tag team partner B. Brian Blair is finishing up his his 28 days rehab period and Blair will return next week on RAW to reunite the Killer Bees with Brunzell. This caused many of the fans to start yelling repeatedly, "Bee Up!"
- This match marked Exotic Adrian Street's in-ring debut for Major League Wrestling.
- This match ended when Street put lipstick on Brunzell who, clearly upset, grabbed a steel chair and smashed it on Street's head.
Backstage: RAW General Manager tells Cruiserweight Champion that, since the #1 contender's Summer Slam Scramble match proved so successful at Summer Slam, he decided to bring a scramble match back again for Unforgiven which is now scheduled for September 20th.
- Backlund says, however, that this scramble match at Unforgiven won't be to determine a #1 contender but instead will be for the Cruiserweight Championship as Gomez will be defending his title against Jushin Liger, The Mountie, S.D. Jones, and former Cruiserweight Champion Gorgeous George!
Match #3: Penny Banner defeated Ida Mae Martinez
- In a good ladies match, Banner won her MLW debut match via a SMALL CRADLE.
Match #4: Greg Valentine and Brutus Beefcake defeated Don Muraco and Cowboy Bob Orton Jr. (both managed by Ladies Champion Sherri Martel)
- In a rare heel vs heel tag match on RAW, Valentine and Beefcake won when Valentine made Muraco tap out to his FIGURE-FOUR LEGLOCK.
Backstage: Backlund is with the MLW Tag Team Champions the Fabulous Kangaroos and their manager Captain Kangaroo.
- Backlund tells the Kangaroos that, since they won the MLW Tag Team Championship from the New Age Outlaws nearly one full year ago at last year's Unforgiven, they have defended their title 6 times on PPV and managed to retain their title. So at this year's Unforgiven the Kangaroos will be defending their MLW Tag Team Championship simultaneously against 6 different tag teams, two of them being Valentine and Beefcake and Muraco and Orton Jr. from the previous match, in an elimination match!
- After hearing this news, the TV announcers wonder aloud if the Kangaroos can overcome these seemingly insurmountable odds to win at Unforgiven to complete a full year as uninterrupted MLW Tag Team Champions.
End of First Half. Second Half will be posted next and includes John Pesek in action, Mil Mascaras vs Intercontinental Champion The Sheik in a non-title match, Jim Londos vs the Masked Superstar in a #1 contender's match, Nick Bockwinkel in action, and Frank Gotch vs Harley Race in a no holds barred match!

Major League Wrestling (MLW) RAW Thursday September 3, 2009 The Major League Wrestling Arena Las Vegas, NV (Second Half of show, First Half is posted above)
Match #5: John Pesek defeated S.D. Jones
- Pesek continued his overall impressive run on RAW since making his recent debut with a victory over Jones via DOUBLE WRISTLOCK.
- Heading into his first ever title match at Unforgiven as one of the 5 contestants involved in the scramble match for the Cruiserweight Championship, Jones will have to do much better than he did tonight to win his first MLW title the TV announcers say to their audience.
Backstage: Ida Mae Martinez, meeting up with Yukon Eric and Cousin Luke, is approached by Rick Rude.
- Rude: "So Ida, why don't you make that night of action you owe me tonight?"
- Martinez: "Rick, you conned me into making that deal and that's the only reason you have me in this position."
- Rude: "One kiss from me and you'll be spending that night with me on your own free will."
- Martinez: "So if I kiss you and then say no again, you'll let me out of that deal you conned me into?"
- Rude: "I want my kiss in the center of the ring next week on RAW. And then you won't say no ever again."
- Martinez: "Fine, next week on RAW you'll get a kiss in the center of the ring and then leave me alone if I still say no. Agreed?"
- Martinez and Rude shake hands on this agreement.
In the Ring: Intercontinental Champion The Sheik and his manager Abdullah Farouk.
- Farouk announces that the agreed to terms of this match are that if Mil Mascaras (who unsuccessfully tried to win the Intercontinental Championship from The Sheik at Vengeance and then again at Summer Slam this past summer) wins this non-title match tonight then he gets another title shot against The Sheik at Unforgiven but if Mascaras loses then he doesn't get another Intercontinental Championship title match ever again during The Sheik's current reign.
Match #6: Mil Mascaras defeated Intercontinental Champion The Sheik (managed by Abdullah Farouk) in a non-title match
- Mascaras was on fire tonight (but not literally since The Sheik didn't get to use his FIREBALL finisher this time;)) and won impressively in just a few moves via his FLYING BODYPRESS.
- As a result, Mascaras gets to continue his quest for the Intercontinental Championship against current champion The Sheik in another title match at Unforgiven. Will Unforgiven see Mascaras finally win his first ever MLW title?
Match #7: Jim Londos (accompanied by Jimmy Snuka) defeated the Masked Superstar in a #1 contender's match
- For this match to determine his challenger at Unforgiven, World Champion Bruiser Brody provided guest color commentary for this matchup.
- Distracted by the presence of his enemy Snuka at ringside, the Masked Superstar lost in just 3 moves via the AIRPLANE SPIN to Londos.
- As a result, Londos gets to challenge Brody for the World Championship at Unforgiven!
- Afterward, Snuka entered the ring to tell the Masked Superstar: "Since you're not going to be in the main event now, it looks like our dog collar match at Unforgiven is back on brother."
Unforgiven Advertisement Unforgiven (presented by MLW's RAW brand) September 20, 2009 1. MLW Chairman Bruno Sammartino vs Nick Bockwinkel (Hell in a Cell) 2. World Champion Bruiser Brody vs Jim Londos 3. Mil Mascaras vs Intercontinental Champion The Sheik 4. Jimmy Snuka vs Masked Superstar (dog collar match) 5. MLW Tag Team Champions the Fabulous Kangaroos vs Don Muraco and Cowboy Bob Orton Jr. vs Greg Valentine and Brutus Beefcake vs 4 tag teams TBA in an elimination match 6. Cruiserweight Champion Pepper Gomez vs Jushin Liger vs Gorgeous George vs The Mountie vs S.D. Jones (championship scramble match) 7. More matches TBA
Match #8: Nick Bockwinkel (managed by Bobby Heenan and accompanied by Heenan Family "problem solver" Ox Baker) defeated Jushin Liger
- Bockwinkel won without too much trouble via his FIGURE FOUR LEGLOCK.
- But, as the TV announcers mention, Bockwinkel will undoubtedly have much more trouble against his enemy Sammartino in Hell in a Cell in 2 weeks at Unforgiven as Sammartino already defeated Bockwinkel in a steel cage match 2 weeks ago at Summer Slam.
Match #9, the main event: Frank Gotch defeated Harley Race (managed by Bobby Heenan and accompanied by Heenan Family "problem solver" Ox Baker).
- Gotch won against his enemy Race via a rolling kneebar.
End of Show.

More stellar MLW action.
Unforgiven is shaping up nicely. The HIC match should be great, and I cant wait to see if the Kangeroos can hold on to their title belts!
