This is my newest fed, after the last one fell by the wayside after real life kept me from playing for awhile.
I've been at this new one since the new year started, and hopefully I'll be able to keep it rolling along.
The LCW is based out of New York, NY (USA).
Notable Personnel: Commissioner: Dan Murphy Commentator/Interviewer: "Mad" Mike Cantrell Ring Announcer: the lovely Cindy Shepherd
Champions: World Heavyweight: "Nature Boy" Buddy Rogers United States: "Hacksaw" Jim Duggan Television: "Exotic" Adrian Street Tag Team Champions: the Road Warriors Women's Champion: To Be Determined
Buddy Rogers is the inaugural champion, having defeated the Iron Sheik in a tournament for the title. He has successfully defended the belt once, so far.
Jim Duggan has won the United States Championship off of his hated feuding enemy Giant Baba, who himself had beaten Duggan for the belt in the initial tournament for it.
Adrian Street is the third TV Champion to date in the relatively young promotion, having beaten "Superstar" Bill Dundee for the belt. Dundee had beaten the initial champion, Konnan, for the title, himself.
The Road Warriors won the tag team titles in the tournament of champions at the expense of the Midnight Express (Eaton & Lane). There are many skilled teams climbing the ladder to take their shot at the L.o.D., as well.
As of yet, there is no Women's Champion or Light-Heavyweight Champion, but there are tentative plans to institute those divisions soon.

L.C.W. Live from Hartford,CT!
"Mad Mike" Cantrell welcomes everyone to what he promises will be an action-packed night of wrestling, starting with the debut of a new wrestler to Legendary Championship Wrestling! We go to the ring where the lovely Cindy Shepherd makes the introductions of...
1. "Classy" Freddie Blassie vs. George South! Blassie makes an impressive debut in a short, violent win over long-suffering George South. After the match, the Classy One gets on the house mic and issues a warning to LCW World Heavyweight Champion Buddy Rogers, saying that he is "officially, as of now... on notice!"
Up next we have...
2. The Men of Character vs. the James Gang! The James Gang start out strong, looking to end things quickly, but the team of Ilio DiPaolo and "Iron Mike" Dibiase make a valiant stand, and an impressive comeback, only to see Kip James throw the rulebook out the window and attack DiPaolo with a chair outside the ring! This leads to your winners, by disqualification: The Men of Character!
"Mad Mike" Cantrell reminds the audience of the credo of the Men of Character: "Character is doing the right thing, even when no one is looking!"
Up next, the lovely Miss Shepherd introduces...
3. Brutus Beefcake (with his partner Greg 'the Hammer' Valentine) vs. George 'the Animal' Steele! The wild and woolly George "the Animal" Steele takes the offense early and in a big way, and once he had the advantage on Beefcake, he simply didn't let up! As soon as Steele locked on the FLYING HAMMERLOCK, Greg Valentine hit the ring for the save, causing the Animal to let go of Beefcake and give chase to Valentine all around the ringside area, oblivious to the referee's counting... your winner, via count-out: Brutus Beefcake!
We then go to the broadcast position where Mike Cantrell is joined by Bobby Heenan and members of the infamous Heenan Family: Nick Bockwinkel, Ray Stevens and King Kong Bundy! Rick Rude is noticeably absent from the Family tonight.
Cantrell: "Ladies and Gentlemen, I'm joined by..."
Heenan: "Stow it, Cantrell! Everyone here and all the ham-and-eggers at home know who we are! We're the illustrious Heenan Family! And don't you forget it! This is the greatest single collection of talent under any one manager in the history of professional wrestling, and we have some things to say, so no interruptions, you got me, Cantrell?"
Cantrell: "I..."
Heenan: "That's right! You're speechless. I understand how it must be for a lower life-form such as yourself to be in the presence of such elite men! As I was saying... we have some things to say. First: Buddy Rogers! You have the gall to call yourself the World's Heavyweight Champion, when the truth is, you're about as big around as one of my man Bundy's legs! You're no heavyweight! Bundy's coming for you, Rogers! You'll see who the real heavyweight in this promotion is, then, I guarantee it! That's something we are all looking forward to seeing, too! I promise you, Rogers! You're time with the championship is running out! Enjoy it while it lasts!"
Cantrell: "I notice that one of your men..."
Heenan: "I said no interruptions, Cantrell! "Ravishing" Rick Rude isn't here tonight because he's a very busy man. He's doing things you'd never understand, peon, like negotiating contracts to star in big-budget Hollywood movies! Fear not, though, Cantrell! Mr. Rude has his priorities straight! He's still got the United States Title firmly in his sights!"
Cantrell: " Wait a minute, now! He's still got to earn his shot at the Hacksaw..."
Heenan: "Did you eat a big bowl of stupid for breakfast this morning, Cantrell? First, I said 'No Interruptions.' and here you are, interrupting every other word! WE all know you don't get a shot at the title without earning it, you ninny! And that's coming in short order! Take that to the bank!"
Cantrell: "Sorry..."
Heenan: "Damn right you're sorry! Lastly, I wanna talk about the tag team titles. The one the so-called Road Warriors are carrying around right now! We all know how they cheated the Midnight Express out of the championship..."
Cantrell: "Wait just a minute! They didn't cheat..."
Heenan: "They most definitely did! I saw it! You saw it! We all saw it! That... that doesn't matter, though. What matters is that my men Bockwinkel and Stevens have a plan to take those belts away from those big cheaters! I'll let Mr. Bockwinkel explain..."
Bockwinkel: "Thank you, Bobby. See, Mr. Cantrell, wrestling isn't just a physical sport. It takes a certain degree of mental agility,as well. Intelligence, if you will. Now, Road Warriors, you are two of the most impressive physical specimens in the business today. I'm not going to take that way from you. But you are lacking in the other department. The department that my partner, Mr. Stevens, and I excel in. Intelligence. We have no doubt that you'll give us a fight, Road Warriors. You're fighting champions, and that means we can respect you to a point. However, when you've been in that ring for a half-hour or so, and you start to get tired... that's when it becomes less about your muscles, and more about your brains. You'll slip up once you start getting tired. You'll slip up and that will be your downfall. We'll have you right where we want you, then. Truth be told, Road Warriors: you won't see it coming."
(The Collected members of the Heenan Family laugh heartily and make their exit.)
Cantrell: "Ladies and Gentlemen, we now go back to ringside for the next match and the introductions..."
Miss Shepard introduces the next match:
4. Ivan Koloff vs. "Boogie Woogie Man" Jimmy Valiant! This is more of a street fight than a wrestling match, with both men trading offense back and forth many times. The match is called to a halt by the referee after Koloff assaults Valiant with his chain one time too many, resulting in the battered and bloody, but victorious Boogie Woogie Man! Your winner, by disqualification: Jimmy Valiant!
Up next:
5. The Missing Link (with Jimmy Hart) vs. Bruiser Brody! A wild brawl from the opening bell, both men spent equal time on offense, beating each other bloody in this wild one, before a concerned Jimmy Hart attempted to save his man, only to accidentally hit his own man with the megaphone, as he could only watch in horror as Brody covered the Link for the win! Your winner: Bruiser Brody!
"Mad Mike" Cantrell is then joined at the broadcast position by the LCW United States Champion "Hacksaw" Jim Duggan (still wearing a bandage on his head from his hard-fought victory over Giant Baba).
Cantrell: "Welcome to the broadcast position, Champ! It's good to have you! That's a nice belt you have there..."
Duggan: "It is a real pretty belt, isn't it? Hoooooooooooooo! And it's back where it rightfully belongs, around the waist of an American, not some no-good evil Japanese cheater! Hooooooo!"
Cantrell: "Aw, c'mon, now, Champ. Not all Japanese are evil. Or cheaters."
Duggan: "I suppose that's true, but that group of fellas that call themselves the Empire of the Rising Sun? They're all liars and cheats! Hoooooooo!"
Cantrell: "I suppose the tactics they've shown to date are less than honorable, Champ, but here's my question: You have a contractually obligated rematch with Baba. Are you nervous?"
Duggan: "Me? Nervous? Not a chance! Hooooooooo! I plan on keeping this shiny, new belt for some time, Mike!"
Cantrell: "With that, let's go the ring for tonight's main event, the TV Championship defense!"
We go to ringside as the lovely Miss Cindy Shepherd announces the following contest:
6. Les Thatcher vs. "Exotic" Adrian Street (w/ Miss Linda: TV Champion) An exciting, fast-paced match between two talented grapplers nearly goes to the time limit before the champion manages to get Thatcher in the London Bridge Leglock for the win! Your winner and still the LCW TV Champion: Exotic Adrian Street!
After the match, Street runs over and plants a kiss on Thatcher before grabbing Miss Linda and scampering back to the dressing room!
Cantrell: "We'll see you folks next week!"
Duggan: "Hooooooooooo!"

What a really cool debut show and you've hit the nail on the head with the Commentary from Bobby Heenan and Jim Duggan. I loved when Heenan use Speachless at Cantrell and Duggan talking about the Shiney Belt was Good Stuff. I have to say my Favorite Tag Team both in Name & Wrestlers thats not mine or an official one are DiBiase & DiPaolo as the Men of Character, that is Brilliant Work...

Thanks for the kind words!
I've watched a lot of old-school stuff over the last few months, I guess you could say it's been good research for the promos.
I'm glad that Heenan came off as close to the real thing as I could make it.
Also glad you like the Men of Character. I put them together because I wanted to use their cards, but also needed another face tag team, so... it all worked out.

L.C.W. Live from Providence, RI
"Mad" Mike Cantrell opens the show by promising the fans (both in attendance and at home) a great night of solid L.C.W. action!
We go to the lovely Miss Cindy Shepherd as she announces the following:
1. Harley Race vs. Al Snow! Snow deserves some credit for trying his best in this match, but the offense of "Handsome" Harley Race was just to much for him, forcing Snow to submit to the Indian Deathlock!
Up next we have...
2. The Masked Superstar vs. Larry Zbyszko! An aggressive showing by both men, with the advantage being traded back and forth a few times ended with a wild brawl on the outside of the ring, resulting in a DOUBLE DISQUALIFICATION!
Miss Shepherd then announces...
3. The Killer Bees vs. Empire of The Rising Sun (SAITO & FUJI; with Miss Hitomi)! An epic show-down between two very skilled teams that could have gone either way! The Bees had the contest won handily before the sneaky Miss Hitomi interfered, turning the tables on the Americans who themselves turn things around with a well-timed masked switch before the battle once more reversed itself, ending with a decisive KAMIKAZE CLOTHESLINE from Mr. Fuji on Jim Brunzell seals the win for the Japanese team! Your winners: The Empire of the Rising Sun!
Up next we go to the broadcast position where "Mad" Mike is joined by Jimmy Hart and his men Buff Bagwell and the Missing Link!
Cantrell: "Ladies and gentlemen, I'm joined tonight by none other than the Mouth of the South and his Hart Foundation! Um... welcome, guys!"
Hart: "Great introduction, Cantrell! Thank you. We're thrilled to be here tonight and you will be, too, because soon enough, you'll get to see my man Buff... you know he's got the right stuff... getting into that very ring and taking on some loser, daddy!"
Cantrell: "We're looking forward to seeing Mr. Bagwell in action again, but before we go any further... what are your thoughts, Jimmy, on the matter of one Bruiser Brody? He filed a request with Commissioner Murphy requesting a rematch from last week... another match with your man the Missing Link!"
Hart: "Oh, I'm aware of that fool's actions, and I'm pretty shocked! What man in their right mind would want to face this man again? What's he thinking, daddy?"
Missing Link: "..."
Cantrell: "Well, in all fairness... no one's ever accused Bruiser Brody of being in his right mind..."
Hart: "You got that right, baby! No worries, though! Linky-baby here will get past Brody and then it's on to bigger and better things! Hell... there's titles to be won! And we're gonna get 'em, baby!"
Cantrell: "Now, Jimmy, let's not get too carried away. Getting past Bruiser Brody and securing a title shot will be a lot harder than it sounds..."
Hart: "Oh, ye of little faith! Trust me, Cantrell... my men will be wearing gold before the first Supercard, baby! Starting with the fantastic Mr. Buff Bagwell! Tonight's match will secure him a shot at that prissy little freak that's currently wearing the TV Championship! I've seen to it! The deal's as good as done, daddy!"
Bagwell: "That's right, Jimmy! It won't be long until I get my hands on Adrian Street! Hell! I might even give that poor Miss Linda a taste of what it's like to be with a real man when I'm all done and wearing the gold!"
Link: "..."
Hart: "One more thing, Cantrell! I've been in some serious negotiations to bring in some more men to the Foundation! Next time we talk, daddy, I'll have added a few more men to the greatest gathering of talent the L.C.W. has ever seen: the Hart Foundation!"
Cantrell: "Well, that's a bold prediction, gentlemen! The world will be eagerly watching your progress! Now let's go back to the ring!"
The lovely Miss Cindy Shepherd makes the introductions of...
4. Bob Roop vs. Dick Hutton! The men exchange gestures of respect (a handshake) before the bout, and it turns into one amazing contest, seeing both men at their best. Roop eventually gets the upper hand, and lands a powerful SHOULDER BREAKER on the Cowboy... but Hutton kicks out just before the three-count! An amazed Roop goes back on the offensive, but runs out of time without securing a victory! The match is a TIME-LIMIT DRAW!
Up next, we have...
5. Buff Bagwell (with Jimmy Hart) vs. 'Unpredictable' Johnny Rodz! Prior to the match, Bagwell makes some unwanted advances on our lovely ring announcer, who manages to scurry to safety as the Unpredictable One makes his attack! It was a valiant effort on the part of Rodz, but Bagwell made a comeback after his manager Jimmy Hart distracts the referee, and once he is on top... Bagwell didn't let up. From there, Bagwell picks up an easy win! Your winner: Buff Bagwell!
Miss Shepherd then announces...
6. The Vachons vs. The Sheik & Sabu! An all-out, uncontrollable brawl from the opening bell, this match sees more action taking place outside the ring than inside it! The violent, bloody affair ends in the final seconds of regulation time with a well-timed (and unseen by the ref) FIREBALL from the Sheik on Butcher! The winners of the match: The Sheik and Sabu!
"Mad Mike" Cantrell has new guests at the broadcast position: the current L.C.W. Tag Team Champions... the Road Warriors and their manager, "Precious" Paul Ellering!
Cantrell: "Here they are, folks, your tag team champions: the Road Warriors! Welcome, gentlemen!"
Ellering: "Thanks, Cantrell. You know, our time is precious, but we have some things to say."
Cantrell: "By all means, guys... let's hear what you have to say!"
Animal: "First thing's first! There's a lot of people been coming out here, running their yaps about how they plan on beating us, and taking these belts from us! Well... talk is cheap! See, we knew when we entered into that tournament that we were gonna win, and that everybody else was gonna come after us! Well, here we are! Nobody's running away, or trying to hide! If you think you can do it... come and get it! Tell 'em, Hawk!"
Hawk: "Well, you see, Mike... when you're the big man on top of the mountain... everyone that thinks they're a big man, too, will come along after you to try to see just how tough you are! Well? We're the toughest sons of mothers out there! So step up, boys. We're waiting!"
Ellering: "First order of business is the Midnight Express! After that? Who knows? It doesn't matter who comes next, because I assure you we'll take on all comers!"
Cantrell: "Thanks, guys! And now, our main event! This match is to determine the top contender to the World Heavyweight Championship, currently held by Buddy Rogers!"
The lovely Cindy Shepherd makes the introductions...
7. The Iron Sheik vs. King Kong Bundy (with Bobby Heenan)! An exciting match, for sure! After an initial onslaught by the Iron Sheik, Bundy fought back to nearly flatten the wrestler from Iran, only to be shocked when the Sheik kicked out of the dreaded AVALANCHE! The fight spilled out of the ring, giving the resurgent Iron Sheik a chance at victory, only to have it snatched away by underhanded tactics by Heenan. Another AVALANCHE by Bundy and the match is over! Your winner and the new top contender: King Kong Bundy!
(The camera lingers on a celebrating Bundy and Heenan while 'Mad' Mike Cantrell says "Goodbye until next week...")

L.C.W. Live from Boston, MA!
"Mad" Mike Cantrell welcomes everyone to the show with a promise of great wrestling action here tonight!
We go to the ring, where the lovely Cindy Shepherd introduces...
1. Kevin Sullivan (with Oliver Humperdink) vs. Mr. X! After chasing the lovely Miss Shepherd out of the ring, Sullivan attacks his opponent without mercy and gets the win in record-setting time!
Up next is...
2. Greg "the Hammer" Valentine (with his partner Brutus Beefcake vs. "Superfly" Jimmy Snuka! Snuka takes control of the action early, and is on his way to victory when Beefcake intervenes, causing Jimmy to chase him around the ring while Valentine recovered enough to go after Snuka with a chair! The referee had no choice but to call this one a disqualification in favor of Snuka, though the Dream Team continued to attack him after the bell... until none other than Magnum T.A. rushes to the ring to make the save and chase the villains off! Magnum then raises Snuka's hand in victory!
Once order is restored, Miss Shepherd introduces...
3. Fabulous Kangaroos (with Red Berry) vs. D'Lo Brown & S.D. Jones! The team of Brown & Jones were on the defensive from the opening bell all the way to the end, which saw Al Costello hit the MARBLE BOR LEGLOCK on Jones for the win!
After the match, the Kangaroos and Berry invade the broadcast position and promise the world that the L.C.W. Tag Team Titles would soon be going home to Australia "... where they rightfully belong!"
We go back to the ring and the lovely Miss Shepherd as she announces...
4. Buff Bagwell (with Jimmy Hart) vs. 'Exotic' Adrian Street (with Miss Linda: LCW TV Champion)! The match is an all-out, action-packed affair from the opening bell to the very end! Street at one point had Bagwell right where he wanted him, locked up in the LONDON BRIDGE LEGLOCK, but Jimmy Hart intervened and turned the match in Bagwell's favor, where the Buff one really put it together, but failed to put the champion away before the time limit expired! The result: a time-limit draw! Bagwell and Hart are incensed and leave the ring complaining...
Our lovely ring announcer then enters the ring and introduces...
5. The Heenan Family (Bockwinkel & Stevens with Bobby Heenan) vs. the Bolsheviks (Volkoff & Zhukov with Nikita Brezhnikov)! The big Russians take control early, but Bockwinkel made a strong comeback and a hot tag to Stevens, who soon had Zhukov on the ropes! At one point the action spilled out of the ring, where Volkoff took control once again, only to be outsmarted (and out-ran) by Heenan's men. Stevens made it back into the ring before Volkoff, to win the match for his team via count-out!
Once things are back under control, our lovely Miss Shepherd then announces...
6. One Man Gang (with Oliver Humperdink) vs. Magnum T.A.! There's a lot riding on this match, and both men brought their "A Game"! Magnum started out strong but a mistake sees him on the receiving end of a brutal beating by the Gang, ending in a 747 SPLASH and a quick pinfall victory for Humperdink's man! The beating on Magnum continues after the bell, with Humperdink and the Gang being joined by Kevin Sullivan for what seemed like an eternity until the Superfly comes to the rescue, swinging a steel chair as an equalizer! The heels are sent running back to the locker room area and we're left to wonder if we just saw the formation of a dynamic new team here in L.C.W....

It's Cool seeing The Sheik & Sabu winning their match over The Vachons and I like Jimmy Hart managing Buff Bagwell. I'm glad King Kong Bundy won that contendership over the Iron Sheik and what a statement OMG made out of Magnum T.A., but Superfly coming to the save is Fun stuff...
