So I've been playing Legends, and COTG, off and on for years. I've been playing this particular incarnation since January of 2010 and I'm pretty satisfied with what I've got going. I'll be posting, hopefully quickly, my shows from the very beginning. I like the idea of having a written history of I've done.
So - here at the beginning, I'm running TV and a house show every weekend. For some reason, I guess to get some build in, I only ran TV the first four weeks. After that, it's TV and a show every Friday night. Hope you guys enjoy it as much as I have.

Mid-Atlantic Championship Wrestling
Studio A at WRAL
Raleigh, NC
January 2nd, 2010
Hosted by Bob Caudle
This week on Championship Wrestling: Ox Baker, The Destroyer, Frank Gotch in a wrestling exhibition, Jimmy Snuka, Johnny Valentine & more!
Ox Baker b George South with a clothesline
- After his match, Baker joins Bob Caudle and issues an open challenge to anyone in the Mid-Atlantic territory with, “the guts to face the man with professional wrestling’s most dangerous move.” Caudle tells Baker he should be careful promoting his Heart Punch, that MACW President Jim Crockett, Sr. has strongly considered outlawing the move. Baker informs Caudle that the Heart Punch has already killed two men, and if Jim Crockett wants to be the third on the list, that’s fine by Ox.
COMMERCIAL BREAK
- Giant Baba promotional video showing the big man dominating his competition in Japan.
- The Destroyer b Sweet Brown Sugar (Koko Ware) with the FIGURE FOUR LEGLOCK
- The Destroyer joins Caudle and demands to know why the promotion is showing videotape of Giant Baba when they have “The intelligent and sensational” Destroyer under contract. “I’ve traveled the world, I’ve pinned Baba in his home territory, and I’ve received no red carpet.” Caudle explains that Baba will be appearing in the Mid-Atlantic territory for a few weeks starting with the January 29th show at the Charlotte Coliseum, but The Destroyer is not interested in any explanation. He tells the audience that he will buy time on next week’s television and show the world the “videotape evidence” of him pinning Giant Baba in Japan.
COMMERCIAL BREAK
- When we return Frank Gotch is in the ring with a “local amateur wrestling champion” and Caudle explains that Gotch will demonstrate the “fundamentals of his wrestling ability.” Gotch records two falls over the young man and Bob asks him to explain his technique to the crowd. However, Nick Bockwinkel makes his way into the ring and tells Caudle that, “It isn’t hard to beat up on some kid, but it’s another matter entirely to pin a world’s heavyweight champion.” When Gotch offers to spar with Bockwinkel, Nick accepts his challenge. The crowd is red hot for a pure wrestling contest between these world-class athletes. When the bell rings, Gotch moves toward Bockwinkel in a crouch. Nick kicks him in the gut, slaps him in the face and quickly makes his way out of the ring. Gotch is hunched over holding his stomach as we go into commercial break.
COMMERCIAL BREAK
- Back from the break Caudle admonishes Nick Bockwinkel for his “careless” actions, informing us that medical personnel are caring for Frank Gotch and his possible “ruptured appendix.”
- Jimmy Snuka b Larry Sharpe with the SUPERFLY LEAP.
COMMERCIAL BREAK
- Johnny Valentine b S.D. Jones with a flying kneedrop.
- Caudle tells us to join Championship Wrestling next week as Bobo Brazil, Buddy Rogers, and Gorgeous George with tag partner Buddy Rose will be in action. When Valentine hears Rogers’ name he joins Caudle and tells him to make sure that Buddy Rogers understands that this is Johnny Valentine’s territory. Caudle responds that Valentine can tell him himself next week, Valentine begins shouting, “this little studio can’t contain the hatred Rogers and I have for one another!”
- “We’ll see you next week fans, and until then, so long for now!”
